I fitted the brass nub yesterday and set the hop for 0.32g's and it shoots like a dream! I'm using Geoff's Bio's which I know people have had problems with, but seem to work very well in mine with several mags feeding flawlessly! Never had any issues with the same brand in my TM GBB MP7 either. I can't belive how well these things shoot, both the range and the consistency is very impressive. The only internal mod I've done like I said is the brass nub. Will look into a prometheus barrel at a later date just to boost the FPS a little...

  6. The semi-garbage blatter can also be a good learning platform for teaching yourself techery. I bought literally the cheapest AR platform I could find for that very purpose. It’s a little tuition station that I don’t mind doing harm to that will also be there if I have a mechanical failure on a game day. And, if my long guns go down together, there’s always a pyro-only afternoon to enjoy.

  8. Ah I see that's where we see things slightly differently; walting and re-enacting through a faithful representation are different things in my view. Now, walting, I absolutely couldn't stand for. But yes, in reality there's no need for it, but for some it's part of the immersive experience; would you object to someone wearing a 101st Airborne Division flash on a 2nd World War outfit, for example? Is that as bad as a Para lid on a Goose Green outfit?

  9. Unfortunately there are some that will take offense. Full stop. Either because they put a lot of hard work in to getting "badged", some because of their experiences, & sometimes their personal losses while serving. thing is, irrespective of my regimental loyalty, there was a term often bandied about between regiments, CRAPHAT, essentially a derogatory term against anyone from a different regiment than your own, & I fucking hated it, I can honestly say I never met anyone I didn't like from other regiments, even some of the para twats, it's not their fault, they've been brainwashed lol, so I guess I probably wouldn't like seeing someone walting it up or being a dick in any genuine Brit army insignia, they've all got massive history & commitment. anyway, why would you need insignia to play airsoft, it's about shooting plastic at each other, & nothing else, if people want to wear kit to that level, join up, regs or reserves, or maybe a reenactment group & show it the respect it deserves ?

    THE TM MWS thread

Well my MK18 NGRS has had pretty much all the stock internals replaced with all the cliche gucci parts that everyone says you need... (believe me you don't) Compared to the single tiny piece of brass that's been fitted to my MWS! Don't get me wrong the NGRS performs excellently and has served me very well. I bought it to get a little more 'realism' over my old VFC 416A5, features like 'recoil' and a functional bolt catch really was the icing on the cake for a platform I knew well. (AEG's) But comparing it to an MWS it might as well be another electric sewing machine! The recoil is negligible when compared with a GBBR and functions like the bolt catch are nowhere near as tactile on the MWS! Using the MWS is such a satisfying experience, I knew it would as my TM MP7 GBB was always grin inducing! I've only plinked with mine so far, but using it for a game next Sunday I cannot wait. My NGRS won't be going anywhere as it's a very good rifle, but I can already tell that it will be spending most of it's life inside a Pelicase... 😂 Just waiting for a couple more bits to arrive for the MWS in question and I'll take some photos for you lovely lot! 😁

A pair of old west guns. Ones an Schofield r hopped, the other started life as a boneyard .177 umarex pellet gun, covered in john wayne logos and with loads of writing all over it, fixed it, the accuracy was woeful, converted to airsoft, r hopped, refinished and just waiting for a pair of new homemade inlays to cure so I can replace the awful grip logos. Both guns are refinished by polishing then using chemical blackener, gives a real steel like finish.

  12. 300 fps. With literally no deviation. It's a little more funky than a Springer it's closer to a pneumatic system. No hop so the range is poor but the most accurate airsoft gun I've used. I sold mine not too long ago and was looking for another. To clarify they are 6mm, totally site legal.

  17. Not talking about batteries, think gearbox issues, some of which such as piston teeth breaking is fairly common, & not immediately fixable, so yeah I'd pick up a backup AR, or any other platform that takes AR mags, maybe a bullpup, such as a PDR-C/FN2000/UAR/SA80, as an alternative type of backup, but that has its strengths as maybe a cqb primary ?

To be fair, most attachments are unnecessary, they do nothing to improve gameplay or performance, they just look pretty. If your budgeting for a new pistol & couple of mags, then you've got enough for another rifle, for example the one somebody reviewed on here recently, AR variant from one of the polish shops for £105ish, can't go wrong with that. I've just picked up a fal with half a dozen mags for £140, lots of bargains out there. As for all the non essential "accessories" you want, just wait for them to pop up in the classifieds for half the RRP, win win 👍

  23. Laughs in dye i5. Section 8 do it well. Red team right arm blue team left arm. See one arm of the player? You should be able to figure out if he is friend of foe. I plan on getting some coloured patches for the back of my chest rig as if the enemy is behind me I'm probably already fucked but I'd like to cut down on my team shooting me when I am attacking the enemy. But on topic for me exluding the obvious hit dodging bastards: Pre firing every fucking corner you go around. It's as bad as blind firing you aquire target then shoot not shoot then look what you are shooting at. The whallopers who think they are hitting you because they are John Wick but actually their gun has been misfeeding and nothings coming out or their high cap needs wound or some shit. I've had a marshal called on me for not taking a hit before and I was like eh i'm in a t-shirt pal I would of felt it (I took a respawn to make him feel better but consistently that player and his UMP45 never fires a fucking thing at me and moans).

  28. That was the first thing that occurred to me when "headshots don't count" was floated. That would make you essentially invincible in many CQB situations, plus what is your opposition meant to do? Give up, or shoot your teeth out? No, I'm happier with headshots being allowed, but only if it's all that's presented to you.

  33. Non hit takers are a given... So in no particular order. Fuck me, they get my goat. Asshole geardos who turn up and take it way too seriously. Then scream like girls when people on their side aren't doing the pepperpot manoeuvre correctly or some other military bollocks they think they know after seeing it on Strike Back/Ultimate Force. You know and we know that the closest to the military they got was being a Cub Scout. Assholes People who turn up to woodland games in all black gear and wear woolly balaclavas and full face masks. Because protection from pain maybe? ( wimps ) .. 2 reasons. 1) Black in Woodland is stupid and i don't like stupid people 2) They are going to pass out from heat exhaustion and potentially cause an interruption to my games. Snipers in so much ghillie that they cannot feel ( or choose not to from recent experience ) because either we their kit is so thick they honestly cannot feel it ( unlikely with the amount i dumped into them ) or the twigs in the way of the bb path make the hits count as ricochets. People who count being behind a bush as a magic shield because the bbs might hit a few twigs on the way through. Thus technically being a ricochet. Even while flinching from the hits. Sites without a clear bang rule. If you get the drop on someone and you don't want to put a bb into their face. There should be a site rule, not one down to player discretion as to whether they take it or not. Now i know some people are stupid and take the bang rule too far, like running into a room shouting bang lots and expecting everyone to go "yep you got us" But not to have a bang rule, i think is wrong. I will happily shoot people in the face but i want the option of not having too. Lastly People who wear drop-leg holsters like this Ah yes, the tactical knee holster

  36. If you are into historical airsoft, especially Vietnam and Cold War, check out the Gunman Airsoft events on Facebook. As serving military I can only echo what others have said, don't wear patches or berets you haven't earned. Other than that knock yourself out. I would invest in good boots and good eye protection first though.......

  37. as with the others, bdu and kit is pretty much fair game for whatever takes your fancy, but folk can take exception if you start wearing patches/insignia for specific units (particularly ones that are still active). tbh anything that breaks up the sea of multicam is fine by me.

  38. The do's? Do what you want. The dont's? Don't listen to anyone who shits on what you like. Get what you think looks cool to you. Plenty of people do impression kits and the like, in reality as long as you're not pretending to be someone in active service or goose stepping a full SS outfit with swastikas out the whazoo nobody is really going to care. In reality the biggest help to concealment in airsoft is knowing when to stand still and not silhouetting. Plenty of times I've just crouched in the middle of a woodland site and had people 10-15 metres away (or less) just walk past.

  40. You can wear what you want, just don't be tempted to wear insignia or awards etc. Just the Clothing is fine. If the clothing has integrated name tags then that is usually fine as well. I run French Foreign legion kit, I can wear a beret no problem, but just not the badge that goes on it.

  42. I'd like to start off this thread by saying that the pistols, rifles and shotguns that I recommend are, and always will be, from my own experience of using them and by popular opinion from regular users on here, other forums and other reputable sources. This thread will also be updated over time. The amount of threads I keep seeing about this subject literally popping up every other week is getting a tad bit annoying, so, I figured I'd create this thread to save people from repeating themselves. So, you're a new player looking for a decent gun hmm? You have a set budget for a gun that will be suitable for skirmishing and won't break anytime soon. If you have a budget of £20 - £60, these guns will do just fine. Primarily gas and spring. - Any Double Eagle/AGM single-shot shotgun: These things have good range with .25g BB's and don't shoot above site limits, for around £30 you can't go wrong. Bison shotguns are a good option if you prefer a different look. - Any Double Eagle tri-shot shotgun: Like the single-shot shotguns, these also have good range but cost slightly more (around £50.) Do not purchase the Marui tri-shots new because, personally, the quality is on par with the Double Eagle tri-shots, not worth above £100. Cyma make metal tri-shot shotguns with folding stocks, full stocks, stockless and all metal or polymer for under or a bit over £100 depending on the model. G&P shotguns are outdated and overpriced, avoid. - ASG, KJWorks, HFC MK23: Absolutely the best gas pistol for under £70, very efficient, accurate and cheap to buy. The included 'silencer' will increase the FPS, try to find the Marui silencer to make it deadly silent. - Cyma AEP's: Like the MK23, these AEPs are excellent for the money, reliable gearboxes, some upgrade options out there on sites such as Eagle6 and Firesupport, magazines are very cheap, LiPo kits are also available and are a worthy upgrade. - HFC gas pistols: These are OK for around £30, average accuracy and gas efficiency, plastics used aren't great BUT the pistols are rugged enough for skirmishing, but they won't stand up to long-term use, consider saving up for the MK23. If you have a budget of £60 - £100, this is an ok budget for a gun. - KJWorks P226, Glocks, M9s and 1911s: These guns are absolutely solid, will last a long time if taken care of. Good kick, average gas efficiency due to metal construction, fully Marui compatible. These are capable of using Co2, but is strongly advised due to inconsistent FPS. Magazines are poor quality and WILL leak during your ownership, replacing them with Marui magazines is advised. The paint that is used is very easily chipped. - WE Glocks, P226, M9s, XDMs and PX4's: Like KJWorks pistols, these pistols are very solid performers and are reliable, average gas efficiency and good range. Avoid purchasing second hand, these pistols are usually very well used in their lifetime, check the condition of the pistol before considering purchasing. The Glocks are slightly fatter than the real thing, so as such, they do not fit most plasic holsters, either trim the holster or purchase an adjustable cloth holster. The paint on the pistols is slightly better than the KJWorks, but will still easily be scratched off. - ASG Dan Wesson revolvers: These guns are reliable, but have no hop up, so they lack range. Only capable of holding 6 rounds, these are not suitable for skirmishing due to the lack of range and the inconsistent FPS. Good, realistic backyard plinkers for collectors. - JG Skorpion, Mac 10: These are very reliable and rugged AEP's, clones of the Marui so plenty of upgrade options and magazines online from sites such as Eagle6. You will be outgunned by regular AEG's such as Combat Machines however due to the small gearbox and weak motor. Will make a decent side arm if using a high-capacity magazine. - Well R4 & R2: Decent AEP's, on par with JG. Clones of the Marui, so upgrade options are available. The plastic Well use for the AEPs are very poor, and will shatter under heavy use. The R4's magazine release will snap if used a lot, so take care. Please consider the JG over the Well if possible. If you have a set budget from £100 - £200, the options are essentially endless. This is the budget you need for a good reliable gun. Spring guns aren't included on this list as you'll end up spending more than you'll realise when you end up upgrading them. AEGS: - Any: G&G Combat Machines/GC16, Cyma AK's/Mp5's/M14's, JG G36/AUG/AK's/G3s, ICS M4's/Mp5's(Sportline)/AK's/G33/Sigs/Mx5's, Classic Army Mp5's/M4's/AK's/P90, SRC G36's, ASG Sten-gun/MP40/MP44/AUGs(JG)/M14(Cyma), APS AK's, King Arms P90 and D-Boys KAC/AK's. Pistols: - Any: Tokyo Marui gbb pistols! Their Hi-capas, Glocks, M9's and 1911's have the most after market parts. KWA/KSC pistols are also very good, the Glocks are extremely robust apart from the full auto versions due to their weak fire selector. Marui pistols will work fine on propane/green gas, though I wouldn't recommend using propane/green gas in them on warm days, stick to HFC gas instead. KWA/KSC gbb's have inferior hop up designs, as the 'nub' that is used to apply pressure is just a tiny ball bearing, whereas in the Marui pistols, they use VSR buckings and regular nubs. "Why aren't sniper rifles/DMR's included?" . Spring guns aren't included on this list as you'll end up spending more than you realise when you start upgrading them to 'outperform everyone on the field'. DMR's are just AEG's; put an oversized scope on an unweildy rifle and you've got a DMR. If you have a set budget above £200 to £300, any AEG will do. Consider Krytac AEG's as they're very well shimmed and have excellent air compression. If you like realism, try gas blowback rifles such as WE/GHK/KJWorks, the WE's will definitely require upgrading for long-term use, also consider HPA use for consistency (or Tippman M4's). If you don't like the idea of buying gas but still want the realism, consider the Marui recoil shock series or CTW's. Hope this helps!

  43. So you haven't tried it yet and you want to mod it!? The gun is designed to run 11.1v That will most definitely make trigger response as fast as you need in combination with the shortstroke trigger!
