Learn your rifle of choice inside and outside, and take note of what it is and isn't capable of. Over expectations lead to frustration, frustration lead to not enjoying it. As a sidenote, don't force yourself to play that way if you're not enjoying it on the day, there is no 'shame' in swapping over to an AEG/GBB/HPA RIF if you're not feeling it. Best advice I can give when it comes to load bearing is work out how you find yourself playing. I use a chest rig because I don't spend much time prone, if you're prone a lot a chest rig can get uncomfortable... in which case a 'battle belt'/yoke or smersh setup is likely a much better fit. Just use whatever works for carrying what you want to carry and is comfortable, there is no 'right' answer. Ghillie/leaf suits are great fun if you want to put the time into them, but they can be a real leech on your time and very much an optional extra. If you want a bit more concealment it's worth taking a look at your surroundings when you're playing, and then using that information to look at camo patterns. There are a lot of fancy ones out there these days, but flecktarn and DPM are great choices in most UK woodland (they shouldn't break the bank either). As another optional, I'd struggle to cope without some form of kneepads. Make sure you have a good, reliable sidearm. When you're dealing with MED (minimum engagement distances) due to the extra power you're kicking out of your rifle you'll need to make sure you've got something to cover the space when folks are too close. Lastly, but most importantly, make sure you're having fun.3 points

So yeah, interesting place. Safe zone's decent of course, as you'd expect, though you have to go through the game zone to get to the toilets which I found a tad awkward not knowing the layout. It's bigger than I expected though, I'd say there was enough room for the number of players involved. Was myself and 4 others attending, just me and 1 other with own gear. Couldn't tell what brand the rental guns were, they were brand new and seemed to work just fine, but my biggest complaints would probably be the ancillaries supplied with them. My mate's batteries died on them a couple of times each within the space of a few hours which obviously impinged on their play somewhat. I know for 100% fact this wasn't due to the number of shots fired as the regular rental package includes (and this blows my mind) a single hi-cap fill of bbs. There were a lot of dudes running around in there will hosed-up hi-capas and god knows how many rounds on them, I'd say a good 1/3 of players were full on speedsoft and some were blatting away at super rapid rates of fire - I took a 5-6 shot string that raked up the entire side of my torso in under half a second at one point. A couple of hundred shots to last many hours of play in there is a joke and I'm really bloody glad the 2 of us who were walk-ons had way more ammo than we'd need so we could help out our friends. Otherwise it's like birthday paintball where they know damn well you'll burn those '100 free' in no time and defo have to buy more. Not a setup I've encountered in airsoft before. Couple of other key points if you're going to attend. Not knocking the site for either, just advice. -Some areas are literal blind man's world, make very sure you have a light of some kind. -Regular goggles/glasses cannot withstand the orders of magnitude increase in fogging from the covid mask you're required to wear at all times, mesh would be extremely strongly advised. Or try out different lower face coverings and bring something that most definitely directs breath from your nose in a downwards direction. Initial brief was extremely long, which I'd have been fine with if between-games ones weren't dragged out unnecessarily which imho they were on at least one occasion. Chrono was also super slow, which I get being a brand new place and the added time with the covid restrictions, but I hope they can do something about it in future. Still a good physical location overall and car parking in the kennet was a piece of cake - site entrance is literally next to the road you drive in to the car park. I'd go again given the location and physical game area, but most likely not until the rona has simmered down and they've smoothed out the whole running of the place a bit further.2 points

Oh tell me about this. You want to sell something, THEN SELL IT!. Humans have limited time on this here Earth and will make split second snap judgements subconsciously, this includes sales. SH*T photos do not sell your gun or what ever well or you'll get low ball offers at best. Photos that are Dark Poorly exposed Flash glare Grainy Blurry Too much background distraction (think horrific bed sheets) Too much Dutch angles Part of the product your selling has been cropped out or framed poorly No sense of scale upside down photos Dogs/Cats/people/body parts in the shot Dirty/unclean background - If you treat your living space that badly, how badly did you treat this product For me though the biggest faux pas and cause of me turning away from a sale FEET How hard is it to not get your feet shot in the image? Wouldn't be so bad if it was a pair of trainers or shoes, i get put off by normal feet and sometimes you see some proper grubby toes.2 points

It's to show you how it "could" look. Like how they put clothes on a manequin to show them off. Argueably a gun with no attachments is NSFW because it's naked.2 points

Hi @Spartan09! 👋 I’ve been on the receiving end of snipers, the good and the bad! I tried sniping recently myself with a sniper, twice and remind myself of these 3 things: 🔫 1. Watch the headshots! 😵 Only aim for the head, when it’s the ONLY target showing, too many bad players think it’s a console game, like Call of Duty or Battlefield and want all the headshots they can get.... Injuries can vary and can loose teeth, which I’ve seen a lot of, in my few years at certain sites! 🤦♂️ Plus Marshals should be mentioning this at all game briefings! 🤔 2. Distance! 😵 Mentioned above the Marshals will cover this in the briefing, now it may vary at different sites, 30 metres plus, get use to this change and if not sure check with a Marshal if there is one near you.... When not looking through the site keep an eye out for friend and foe, any enemy that is too close you CAN’T shoot them with a sniper! 🤦♂️ 3. Secondary backup! 🔫 If the enemy gets too close or you go into a building, it comes in handy! 👍 Hope this helps and I’m keen to see what people think? 🤔 💷GAMBLE💷2 points

only fielded my rifle twice, so still trying to work out its range limits. i regularly carry my john wick hi cappa as a sidearm, but if i can find a decent sling to carry it on my back, i may use my p90 as a backup. most of my gear is ex-british army MTP including my osprey plate carrier, and i do have a some knee/elbow pads i did manage to get one kill with the rifle last weekend, though it was more luck than judgement... still proud of it though. and havent had anyone give me the "i almost bought one" speech... but i definately had most of the players on site drooling over the gun... including some of the marshalls... Do nothing to it. I'd try sample bags of Geoff's BBs. Then use the highest weight that it will reliably hop. Maybe use binoculars or a monocle to spot targets, then pew at them. Find a simp with an AEG who is willing to spot for you. I would. Whatever your results, be proud of them. Bring a rusty chain to thrash at the spergs who will swarm you in the safe zone to tell you about how they almost bought a WA2000, but didn't because [blah blah blah].2 points

As some of you asked for fotos of my collection, I took a few pics 🙂 We restored a house a few years ago and I got the rare opportunity to turn a room into my personal little "museum". The only downside: The showcases are full already... 😅 As mentioned in the new members thread, I'm a collector for quite some time now and I'm interested in anything that's odd / old / rare / shellejecting / japanese / gasdriven in general and recently got a knack for a bit more steel here and there. Unfortunately, the showcases in the middle still lack lighting 😑 Disclaimer: Everything in that room is legal and according to german laws, the guns themselves aswell as the showcases, which are locked, when I'm not there. The guns outside the showcases are 0.5 joules, so they don't fall under german gun laws, but are categorized as toys.2 points

Don’t know about you guys but really boils my piss when you see an add and think “oohh sounds interesting?” You go to said advert and when you open it it’s got blurred photos , too dark or too much light in the picture or best of all upside down photos ! 🤦♂️ Seriously ? you want people to part with there hard earned beer tokens and you can’t be bothered or haven’t even got the good manners to put up a decent Picture in your advert for them !1 point

I don’t get the ad’s where it’s just the single picture. “TM NGRS” 1 pic of a generic M4... Oh because it’s a TM you only get a pic and it’s at a premium. If I’m dropping 400£ on a secondhand toy ima need to see up inside that shit. Of course this can be requested later however it’d be nice to see general overview of the piece.1 point

https://prefired.co.uk/ads/well-mb4405-custom-vsr10-airsoft-sniper-rifle/ Yours for just £30 thats right £30 over retail price from bbgunzfirless! Add in the £60 for postage and a load of bb's from a brand I have never heard of and you have a real dreamer. So with a touch more google fu I managed to find this gun with bi-pod and scope for £165 (again bbg4l) so really this is a massive saving of £15 off retail.... https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/well-mb4405-custom-vsr10-airsoft-sniper-rifle-in-green.html1 point -

ARES APC9. lovely firing little AEG. As with most Ares products a bit of TLC will make the most of it. Already sorted out the wobbly stock by replacing the 2 springs under the stock catch button and is now a lot better. inner barrel is only about 130mm and the stock rubber seems meh so I'll probably replace both of these soon. The bolt handles have a bit of wobble as well when folded so I'll probably replace the springs in them as well to keep them from rattling about when folded to the side. The mags are a bit stiff in the magwell but I think this will get better with use. The rubber bumps on the base of the magazine are a nice touch but I might bin them so that I can cram more mags into a M4 pouch. oh and the pin that holds the stock on, that you need to remove to fit a battery, is the tightest I've ever come across.1 point -

As a secondary for a secondary, those pistol grip grenade moscart launchers can be really fun, you been spotted, that glock or mk23 is a good secondary but the grenade launcher is like the spanish inquisition, no one expects that 😀 ( just dont be a dick and open up close with a 40 mike) I had the cyma one when i was running a vsr + glock. Good fun1 point

I suppose it depends. I like to take photos for my ads outdoors so you can properly see condition in the natural light. I recently posted a Glock ad with a surefire replica that's not included. Purely because they were the only decent photos I had on my phone and it'd been pissing it down for three days solid. Also I could understand if it's a sniper rifle/DMR and you want to give a better idea of what it looks like with accessories (lots of retailers do this too). My main gripe is 1 x blurry/dark photo along with no indication of condition/how much use it's had. I mentioned this before but in my eyes second-hand can mean "I've beaten this to hell and fancy a nice shiney new one, so anyone want to put towards that by buying what's left of this one?" or "I was bored during lock down and picked this up but realistically I'm not going to skirmish it" Plus of course not including PayPal fees.1 point

As already mentioned, get to know your rifle's limits or you'll easily get frustrated and annoyed with it. Just think how many newbies buy a boltie, only ending up trying to sell it a few months later. This. Field craft is far more important than looking like a walking bush1 point -

I used one of those masks for Halloween haha. Posed with some of my guns and gear but didn't use it in a game. How did you modify them? I'd be worried about it getting obliterated! Could be a themed game idea in there somewhere though. Unfortunately I didn't have the appropriate signature weapon for the character, but oh well. (Second finger isn't on the trigger, just weirdly wrapped around the grip/guard and looks odd lol) My actual airsoft getup is more along these lines... I keep using cheapo primaries and spending all my money on other stuff, so excuse the springer shotgun. Although I play entirely CQB right now so if it ain't broke... Also I really need to find the actual decent resolution photo of that, all I could find was this lowres one. Will edit if I find it. -Currently using a second hand Secutor Velites SII with a cheapo light and low power red laser combo as a primary, more than enough shells to not have to constantly refill them on the vest. -TM P226 E2 bought second hand pre-upgraded with a tighter inner barrel and maple leaf bucking (although I hear TM is top there anyway so may not do much for it), didn't lock back but otherwise worked fine. Changed the slide to a stainless coloured one but kept it plastic, replaced the BBU housing with a guarder lighter one as both stock TM BBU housings I have were slightly worn, still not locking back and I was hoping the guarder one would be stronger despite being lighter. Got 5 mags, belt and IMI holster and mag holders with the P226. 2 of the mags leaked bad but a quick disassembly and lubing up of the seals fixed that. One has a busted feed lip which will be easy enough to replace. -Goggles are legit Revision desert locusts, the fan version, with prescription inserts. I got so sick and tired of OTT fogging I always seem to suffer from I figured my main recent budget would go on minimising the issue as much as possible. -Headset is awesafe. No mic but I have tinnitus so I use them so I can still hear people but it mutes pyro a little. Not pictured is the radio setup that I can attach to them with a 3.5 jack and I use cheapo retevis speakermic as my mic, plugged into a cheapo Retevis.. R24s? I think. -Trousers from verusteleka.com (I love 'em) -Shirt some cheapo UBACS style shirt from amazon. -Vest and pouches all just cheapy MOLLE things mostly from amazon. I just had the rifle/SMG mag pouches on there for the lols, normally I'd have either those if using my partners MP7 or just the shotgun shell pouch and shell loops. -First aid kit is just a booboo kit with home first aid stuff for post-game nicks, cuts, BBs stuck in places. No need for a real IFAK with no medical training, but a realistic combat loadout should always have something that looks like one IMO lol. -Kneepads are alta, boots are from 'vegetarian shoes' as I'm a dirty vegetarian and won't buy new leather. They have foldable/removable ice studs and are pretty damn comfy. Finish wears on the outside quite fast though but then I always do suck at looking after boots. Positioning isn't final, haven't actually run a game to test everything with the latest setup yet as I've been busy or ill for ages. I was using cheaper goggles, a less practical shirt, a different shotgun, no sidearm for the last couple games. And yes I know it's an absolute mess of cheap and expensive crap. Edit: Not the same pics in high quality, but other closeup angles of various things (I like my loadout to be plausibly realistic over truly practical. Also bit more of a workout haha..), minus a radio setup me and some friends split the cost of.1 point -

I have had my rant here instead of on site LOL. Yes a good aeg with 28BBs or above will hit 60M maybe even 65 but a lot of the knobs out there do not set their guns up or get their hop to work as it should. Had to replace the hop rubber on the DMR after Sunday as it started to spray erratically towards the end. My son in law found it too much and just quit after shooting the opposition and then being shouted at to take his hits when the BBs they shot did not reach him.0 points
