    Hi There!

Hi everyone, I'm getting back to airsoft after a long break (20 years). I know these days are a bit convulsed, but I'm excited anyways. I have a lot of catching up, and I may annoy you with a bunch of questions. I'll see you around!

  5. Heroshark has been a REAL hero to me today and is sending me a silly little very tiny spring that 'Sprung' when I was doing some maintenance on my ASG DW revver, i.e. pinged out and lost and I have spent hours trying to source. AND... for free! - That's what you call a real buddy..... To me he is for sure a total HERO, but NOT a shark.👍

  6. Don't. HPA guns require perfect alignments. By how "standard" airsoft parts are, my best guess is that it'll turn out at least twice more expensive than buying a MTW.

  7. I’ve done it once on a HPA build and wouldn’t want do it again. Unless someone absolutely has their heart set on doing it I wouldn’t recommend it, even more so because this will be your first HPA setup. Having been there and done it, was I to go down the HPA route again I’d likely pick up an MTW and save myself the headaches... granted the bulk of my headaches were more attached the receivers not playing ball with the front end more than the internals. You do you at the end of the day, but it seems to me from your posts of late that you haven’t really settled on what you actually want. I’d figure that out ahead of anything else.

  9. I hadn't seen this mentioned on here, that I can remember. But Zed adventures posted this teaser on their facebook page last week. In the picture we see an escalator and some officey/shop type interior. CQB ZED IS COMING BACK! I'm SO excited! 😁😁 Need to tag all the old Zed Regulars in here: @Albiscuit @Robert James @ImTriggerHappy@Jedi_Master @christknows-theres-too-many-to-remember!

    Hi There!

Grrr! Even 35+ years ago in my day we didn't need elastic bands. We had springs...... and models that would self destruct if you didn't put them together properly.

  13. Get a black paint pen , go over the areas you’ve taken too much off then re-take off but not quite as much this time . I always have one at hand if I’m trying to ‘age’ a gun . What I did with my AK . use wood stain on the grip to red’en It then a couple of coats of lacquer to protect it . Mite be an idea to take the grips off and batter them up a bit , they look way too pristine compared to the metal work .👍 this is mine .

  14. the ultimate series are pretty decent imo, only problem is any issues in the box and the motor will just keep on chugging whilst ripping apart anything that tries to stop it. £380 for an lct ak with no noteworthy alterations? sure the cyma ak mags are good mags but they aren't exactly expensive either......

I have one of these. Works flawlessly as far as I can tell. I’ve yet to test it fully during a game day, but I’ve fired a few hundred BBs with it and seems to function exactly the same as the stock Marui BCG. I bought mine from Airsoft Global. Great service and fast shipping. I opted for the silver version, but they also stock regular black and blingy gold. http://www.airsoftglobal.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=570_647&products_id=31660

  17. 'New' Nitro-mors is nowhere near as effective as the old stuff, but it should be strong enough for the steel parts. I would go careful on any zinc parts (front sight, trunion, rear sight mount etc). Try a small patch somewhere on the gun before committing to the whole thing.

  18. not sure how comfortable i am with the words "hot glue", "piston", "grease" and "rubbery plug" appearing in the same sentence. and it's not just from a purely technical standpoint.....

  19. That isn't fac it's a off a Daystate. Made in sunny Staffordshire. It'll be 1/2*20 thread. You need 14mm ccw. Airsoft world have some nice CF silencers that are similar and the right thread for less money.

  21. It's the small elements of a receiver that are a pain to source. Pins, unusual screws spacers. There's no great satisfaction cherry picking every part and in fact more likely to find incompatibility problems. Find something that is already as close to what you are after that will also comfortably fit the hpa engine. Or just get an mtw.

  22. While I know less than nothing about the workings of hpa kit, the general rule of thumb of literally EVERYTHING in the world that has multiple working parts is that the sum total of those parts always adds up to a higher amount compared to a complete item, so while I get what your aiming for, unless you've got very deep pockets I wouldn bother, plus my understanding is that while no hpa/gbbr set-up bought over the counter is 100% perfect, most brands are reasonably competent with only a few bits needing tweaking. IMHO

Latest update on the TM MTR16 GBB. - Got rid of the suppressor - Changed the pistol grip to a Magpul K2 (thank you for the suggestion @TheFull9) - Finally got some black optics today - Added Pmag covers as I heard the actual Pmags for the MWS system are ass Don't think I will be doing much more to it! Please excuse the moody lighting - been very rainy recently.

  31. Some more crafting prep work ahead of the change in season, waiting on some different dyes to arrive before finishing up but I’m satisfied with the initial results! It’s intentionally dyed poorly, the ‘patchy’ look is exactly what I was shooting for.

  32. Ah I totally agree with you there. I'm under no illusion that my Crye G3's offer me any better concealment than a set of surplus mtp! It all comes down to what we all personally want to get out of our hobby I guess. Agree with you also bud. Coming back to the whole hindsight thing my TM MK18 NGRS had all of its guts ripped out and replaced with the prommy back catalogue. Don't get me wrong it performed exceptionally, but was it worth it? And was the step up in performance that much higher than stock? No I personally don't think so, and I wouldn't do it again as I'm now a GBBR snob... However its the people that get their guns 'fully upgraded' without even using them stock that are the real mugs! Sorry for derailing this thread mods, I'll shut up now... 😊

  33. I don't see why people have a problem (not suggesting you have) with others spending their hard earned cash on their chosen hobby. Whether that's fitting lots of accessories onto a rifle or wearing crye, and everything that goes with it... It seems totally fine to shame/mock others for spending what certain people regard is 'too much money' However if I or any of the other 'crye,tm,ngrs, mws' users started ripping into somebody for their shitty budget aeg and viper gear, I'd be an arrogant bastard! It works both ways as far as I'm concerned. I couldn't care less how somebody enjoys their hobby. Whether its in a pair of jeans and a hoody with a cyma or fully decked out in crye and a das 416... Providing you take your hits and aren't a dick you're fine by me.

  34. Well I'll make it simple for people with the power of mitutoyo. For the green gas mod cut 33mm or more (depending on your preference) above the brass fitting.

  35. During the week I think the multistorey at the Kennet itself is only £2 for the evening (after 6pm). But if you're going on a Saturday or Sunday, it's worth finding the new Train station car park which is just opposite the Kennet and only a 2 minute walk to the entrance of Zed. When I played the Sunday. It was great. Damn near empty, like no one knew it existed and it's literally opposite the centre. It's £4.40 for a whole day of parking. Much cheaper than the Kennet. The Zed entrance is in the top left, where Edward Reis is. But see where the red marker is, there an automotive parts shop and you just drive up there and it's on the right. Literally directly opposite Nandos. It's not on any map or parking website at the moment. It's a hidden secret 😁 This is what you'll see if you're driving towards it from the A339. Nandos is on the right. This is what the street in question looks like as though you're stood on the path outside Nandos Drive past the motorist discount centre all the way to the end And at the end there's a right turn. At the moment Google shows a row of houses, but pretty much all of these have been demolished and there's a lovely new car park Pay and display and you're good to go

    THE TM MWS thread

I have ascended! I also got the Angrygun Aluminium BC* bolt today but it doesn't seem to work too well. There is a friction between the nozzle and the bolt (might be due to the piston/sealing head as some others have experienced) so the nozzle returns quite sluggishly when I pull it forward and release it, but the main issue is that every time I shoot, this bolt somehow manages to engagethe hop dial and slowly decrease the hop until my bb's are just falling out 😅 Has anyone experienced an issue like this? Either way I've already messaged Firesupport and hope I can just return the damn thing. Instead I'm planning to order either a UAC aluminium bolt and maybe the guns modify nozzle set, and run that as my high speed CQB setup. Then I want to install a G&P adjustable valve in the stock bolt to get me above 2 joules into DMR territory when I play outdoors.

  38. I can't help but be confused as to what the difference is between a 'tournament gnu' and a... 'gnu'. May just be that the idea of airsoft tournaments isn't a thing I'm familiar with at all, but the listed criteria seems desirable for any RIF. You seem to been pretty successful with the build from your other thread, what makes that one unable to be altered into a 'tournament gnu'... whatever one of those is.
    1 point
  39. Because we all know it's just an excuse to sell a non working RIF or accessory and claim "Well I was told that's all that was needed to get it sorted "

    THE TM MWS thread

@P4radox as a fix you can cut a small square of plastic sheet, the sort that the clear packaging display boxes are made of - that the guns modify hop unit probably can in lol - and superglue it onto one of the hop arm paddles. Basically increasing the relayed pressure applied from the first (hop wheel driven) lever to the second lever (pushing the nub)
