When you want all the trademarks. TM NGRS Delta with essentially the full KOA package. I basically took their build list and send it to my tech for a good bit less. Still instantly became one of my most expensive guns.

C2R Chameleon x 2 to get the right fit, didn’t bother with the covers as I’m going to run it like a plate frame. Cant fault C2R, great design and the delivery was damn quick! Although…on reflection the fact it doesn’t come with female buckles for attaching a placard is a bit shit.

i forget that folk actually put protectors on their lenses. unless it's a simple case of popping in a disc of polycarb into the existing housing i just run them plain and accept that at some point they're gonna get shot out. in fairness, i've only lost 2 optics to hits, one was funnily enough option 2 during a night game (had the thing for years before it took an unlucky hit) and the other was a repro eotech took a bb as i was shooting out a window (again after being used for years)

That is easily the best protection and best looking protection I've seen for that type of optic. Quite impressed! Personally I'm really not a fan of the look of that optic at all, but don't let that put you off it if it's the favourite as I can be a grumpy old man at the best of times! If we all like the same stuff the world would be very dull.

I have option 3. It makes it easier or target acquisition. I don't even notice the frame when using both eyes open. Adjusts in both horizontal and vertical axis, each colour has 5 brightness settings and cost about £15 from eBay.

So last night i went online looking for Modify Tan buckings. Ended up buying an upgraded MTR 16. It does have the tan bucking in it already, so it counts. Picking it up Sunday

First thing I would check is the COL is moving. If you've had it in bits there's always the chance you nipped it up a little too much and now it's binding. Or the other common mistake, you forgot to put the little spring back on the COL. How exactly does the fault present itself? By that I mean how is the trigger functioning. Does it stick on full auto, Or does it stop as soon as you release the trigger. If it's sticking you might have the contact a little tight and it's holding the trigger dolly. If you've changed the trigger it may be riding a little high and keeping engaged on the dolly. The Dolly return spring might prefer to be in the other way round and it's keeping the dolly pressed to the trigger.

When I had mine (TK45C) I ran 11.1v 1300mA VP lipos. Don't use 11.1s anymore so I have a couple available if you're interested?

It's doable but fiddly. You'll need to remove the stock, magwell, motor and most of the front. You can lift up the gearbox *just* enough to be able to remove the spring &spring guide. It's still about 80% of a full stripdown though. Actually I think SteavoBeavo's setup looks particularly good. As I said, my choice is down to replicating the look of my Battlefield 4 gaming setup... I've got very nearly 50,000 in-game kills with the F2000 now, it's my favourite gun in the game. L85A2 comes in second, I'll have to get one of those eventually. The 'Coyote' sight is often the player's choice of red dot in BF4 just because it has such a thin surround to the lens that it blocks less of the peripheral view than any of the other sights, and therefore gives a small (but useful) advantage. My other fave in-game sight was the Kobra, but while the open T-reticle in the game looks nice, I found it doesn't encourage the same accuracy in aiming as a plain dot. I'm lucky I bought the Kobra back when I first started airsoft, they seem to be super-expensive now. Historical aside: I bought one of the early red dot sights, the SinglePoint, for my BSA Meteor when I was a kid. It was really designed for shotguns I think. There was no view through the tube, it was a massive red dot for the right eye, and you saw the target with your left. I could just about hit tin cans with it, but it was useless for an air rifle. Polycarb is pretty much unbreakable as I understand it, unlike the Lexan type sheet that gets used on the sacrificial lens protectors on eBay.

I'd agree the design of option 2 is inherently more likely to break. I bought it entirely for the fact it's the Coyote sight in Battlefield 4 and I want to replicate the look of my in-game gun. I'd recommend option 1 or option 3 on a riser, I'd generally advise against option 2. Re option 2 there are a couple of reasons I'd advise against, the main one being how exposed the glass is. Over the years I have seen dozens, if not more of them smashed and cracked from bbs strikes with regular comments of "I only put that on there the other day" (or similar). Adding protection against bbs isn't as straight forward as options 1 and 3. Add in the rain issues and I'd recommend staying away. There will be people who have run them for ages, but they seem to have a higher destruction rate than the others. Option 1 is a good solid foundation but not the most operator looking (it's a clone of an older aimpoint), option 3 is a clone of a more modern aimpoint and is generally paired with a mount or riser (such as the cool Unity tactical fast mounts, clones are available) which is not only a cool modern look, but also really helps with body posturing while playing and using the optic while wearing a mask. While the look might not be that important now, you might (might not obviously) get into more milsim, operator larp etc impression stuff and it's more likely to help you avoid having to buy another optic at that point. Both 1 and 3 are pretty easy to add a poly carb lens (Screw fix do some poly carb safety goggle for about £1.50 that provide enough to cover 2-3 optics) and rain is much less of an issue as well. Just my 2 cents worth.

You can remove the “gas tube” but will need to retain the front sight / gas block to hold the front of the hand guard on. You can get front gas blocks with fold down front sight that are lower profile.

Problem I have with hoods/snoods/scarves/etc is I sweat like a pig in a Synagogue so I get rather ‘moist’ wearing any kind of cloth face pro , I tried a friends Delta but even with it being made of mesh cloth I was still soaking by end of the game , where as him has no problem at all(matter of fact I’ve been trying to find a way to see if the fecker is an android he sweats that little ! 🤫)

It is indeed. Just a solid metal stick for appearance's sake. Looks nice and realistic when you can see it running through the inside of an M-Lok handguard, but hardly a functional part.

I could go back through the videos he sent and list them but really I believe teching is less about replacing parts for more expensive ones and more about knowing which areas to address when a gun isn't performing the way you want. He spends so much time modifying existing parts and fine tuning, that really most of the expense ends up being labour. As I'm sure he'd also say, while there are tried and tested quality parts, what works in a gun varies massively, not only between make and model but even two examples of the same! Saying that, I do have a warhead motor in the G&G M4 and that thing is phenomenal. Instant trigger reaction and doesn't seem to get hot in the same way a normal Airsoft motor does. Again though, it went straight in to my gun. For others, extensive modification could be required to get it working perfectly. That's where experience comes in and exactly the kind of thing I'm happy to pay for.

Just received it, and fired a few shots from the patio door .... oooooooh I like it! Snappy even on the Nuprol low-power gas I ordered. Lovely build quality but it does feel very different in the hand to my all-metal M9. (Different, not worse) Still got a good heft to it. Well worth the recommendations, thankyou I think if I became a very bold person, there does look like there's enough material to allow for a lanyard hole to be drilled through the base of the backstrap. I don't think I'll do it quite yet though!

Yeah I should have said I've not skirmished mine yet, just tried it out on all my guns, with my face pro on. The rain thing I'd never thought about tbh. I've played a couple of times in light rain with my Kobra, and that wasn't affected, but then thats Russian real-steel for you, it's designed to survive nuclear war, and the consequent cockroach takeover of the world 🤣. The £25 'Amazon special' might not be quite so capable in bad conditions!

5.56 DMR and I don't care what pistol it is but it needs an M4 mag mangled onto the bottom of it. Would properly legitimise the bulk of the Airsoft community.

Me and late nights don't mix. I just tend to buy shit. It starts cheap but then it escalates to double the initial amount I decided I could sacrifice.

Option 2 is the one I've just bought, it is quite compact (compared to my chunky Kobra) which can be a positive or a negative depending on your preference.… It's nicely made and has a set of clean sharp reticles.

Hey Snuff, I've got one of each and I can say that the middle one is the easiest and clearest to use. The others obscure the target somewhat and if they're not magnified it reduces their effectiveness. If you do look for a magnified one I would suggest not going over 2x

I brought the Cyma brand new and gutted it straight away as I got it to DMR it 😂 First spring I put in should have given it around the 440fps mark with a .20 clocked in at a highly illegal 562fps 😲

I'm early in my tech'ing journey. First attempt was a bit of a disaster, but I've tried again. And after quite a few painful hours I've learned a lot. I might not be doing it right yet (time and a few thousand BBs will tell), but it's interesting and fun, and gives me something to obsess over that's cheaper than looking for and buying whole new guns I recommend you pick your least-used gun and give it a go!

I'm envious of those who can do it themselves. Must be very rewarding.

I've just had these two DMR's built by Negative Airsoft. There really is a hell of a lot more involved than just changing the barrel, hop and spring. If you're a decent enough tinkerer, then you'll likely have some fun learning a long the way. I'm obviously not, which is why I just put my hand in my pocket from the start.

Maybe. It does actually have a small flat section in the path. So far there is no catching of the spring. There already are 5 bolts in there, and it so far holds up from the spring with just 2, so with all 5 in it should be good. If I start seeing failures where you mention then I may change that. I have also had serious issues with prints with that much contact with my printbed. V1 was basically a solid block to get the fit right, and I ended having to print it with the top of the mag down after a half-dozen failed prints trying to print it side-down. If someone wants to test the print on that side I can easily send you a modified file, but on my Prusa mk3S I am yet to have that style of print succeed.

I had a rule no airsoft purchases until I go back and play after Covid. I played last Sunday and ended dropping £300 today on bits and bobs. I guess this is what happens when 2 years worth of wants catches up and I have no UKARA to drop it on a new RIF anyway.

there's Ace airsoft based in wolverhampton just off the M54 although that is only sundays generally and West midlands airsoft does sometimes open saturdays but they have the cqb site aswell so may affect things I think there are more but those are the 2 I use

I agree with the choice of Maple leaf especially the MR bucking (old version and new). However all their buckings are good, and they work very well with the Omega nub, which is my go to nub for all buckings. However ML buckings can cause feeding problems with some guns - it is down to the longer and thicker lips. Some people have sanded them down, to make them work, and this apparently can sort the issue. From my experience a longer nozzle can sort this problem, or alternatively go for a TNT TR bucking, I have used quite a few of these and they are superb. They are like the ML MR hop, effectively a drop in R hop rubber. The long and short of it is, if a Maple Leaf bucking and Omega nub works in your rifle it will work well, especially when paired with a Maple Leaf barrel.
