  5. Hey all there is light at the end of the tunnel. A message from Warped Sports regarding the new scheduled dates for our North v South Airsoft Festival 2020. Dear friends For the first time in our 28 years, we have found ourselves being forced into postponing the North V South Festival. We have been keeping a tiny bit of positivity and optimism here - with the event being 6 weeks away - that maybe, just maybe, some restrictions would be lifted by 8th May and most of us might be going about our business again. We have been continuing to work behind the scenes to deliver the festival we all love, in order that we could proceed if the situation improved. However with each passing day this has been looking increasingly unlikely, and potentially irresponsible to even keep as an option, and the decision has now been taken out of our hands anyway as the MOD have now cancelled all bookings for training facilities (everything to 1st July at this stage we understand). We have been working in the past few days to try and save the situation as best we can ! Clearly no-one knows exactly when these type of events will be able to resume again, however we feel we should all remain positive and want to make sure we are in a position to proceed with the event as soon as its safe and appropriate to do so. We have identified a number of potential dates for the postponement. At this time we are working to postpone the North V South Festival to.. 31 JULY – 2 AUGUST 2020 Of course it may all be in vain as clearly public safety is the number 1 priority and we all need to continue to heed the rules and advice given at all times !. But the new date is 17+ weeks away right now, so we would invite you all to join us in keeping our fingers crossed that the situation is improved, and we are all able to get together on 31/7-2/8. We know a great many of you will have already made plans for booking travel, accommodation, holidays etc for the original dates and for that we apologise for the inconvenience. We know a number of hotels and transport companies are now allowing free amendments to bookings so we hope some can take advantage of that. Your North V South tickets remain fully valid for the new target date. With all that being said, please remember we are an independent company with a small team who work tirelessly around the year to deliver the festival to you. Of course none of us wanted this but at this time we must all make the right decisions to keep everyone safe. It is a decision which puts both our passion and our livelihoods in the balance, like so many others in so many industries as a result of the pandemic. We are publicly appealing to all of you – to hold onto your ticket bookings. We fully intend to provide the festival you know and love, just at a later date! We are players and fans just like you, and this is the scariest time we have ever had to face as a business. We truly appreciate the time, money, and support you have invested in NvS over the years, and we need you now more than ever ! Please stay safe all, and we will see you soon. The Warped Crew
  6. ++ Ace Airsoft Wolverhampton COVID-19 UPDATE ++ Following the PM's announcement last night and for the safety of our staff, players and their families we've taken the decision to temporarily close our Airsoft site until May and re asses the situation on a week by week basis thereafter. For those that have already booked in during April we will be in touch shortly to rearrange dates or offer refunds. Stay Safe, look after each other and we'll see you all on the other side!! All of our staff are now heading for the Winchester to wait for it to blow over.... oh no hang on we can't even do that now 😭 If it all goes pear shaped there is a plus side, survivors will have the biggest Airsoft site in history to play in...Planet Earth.

  10. +++ COVID-19 Update +++ Further to the Government’s update and its recommendations on social distancing, we wanted to update you with what we are doing at Ace Airsoft following the announcement. We are lucky in some respects that our game site is outdoors, in the fresh air in a large 100 acre woodland! We are currently still open for the published dates on our website and have every intention to remain so for as long as possible however the health and well being of our players and staff is our priority, and as such we are making some changes to help ensure our players remain safe during their visit with us. We want to stay open to provide our members and guests with a happy and fun airsoft experience, but we’re monitoring the situation closely so we can respond quickly to any further changes and guidance from the authorities. It’s important that if you do feel unwell or are in self-isolation following a member of your household showing symptoms of corona virus, we ask you to postpone your visit until you are fully recovered. As a large outdoor game site, we’re developing plans to maintain space and social distance for players, in addition to the availability of soap, water and hand sanitisation products. We ask all those who visit us to observe closely our guidelines below on maintaining a safe distance between each other and to upkeep good hygiene practices. There are simple things you can do to help prevent the spread of the virus, including: 1) Social distancing - Our safe zone area is large and has ample space so please try to maintain a safe distance (approx. 2 meters) between other people, we are encouraging players for the time being to make use of their cars in the car park if possible during non gaming periods. 2) Proximity - Where close proximity between players and staff is necessary, for example during the safety briefing, we will keep this to a minimum and operate in line with the latest guidance. This might mean that we give you a printed safety briefing along with a verbal safety briefing and therefore Booking in online via our website is important to reduce proximity times on arrival. We also ask to avoid cash transactions if possible and therefore there is now the option to pay in full on the booking pages of our website and to order and pay for your Ammo and Pyrotechnic Grenades in advance in order to collect on the day. 3) Frequent hand washing - All marshals will wash hands at least every two hours and we ask you try to do the same. We have a wash station and alcohol gel available to enable you to wash your hands regularly. 4) Covering your mouth and nose - with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze and putting any used tissues in the bin immediately 5) Avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean. 6) If you do feel unwell during your visit, please contact a member of staff immediately – maintaining a safe distance of two meters where possible. The safety of our staff and players are our top priority and we are continuing to closely follow the advice of Public Health England and the UK Government in order to enhance our provisions for this. We are doing our bit to avoid disappointment for our players, whilst ensuring that you remain safe during your visit; please help us with this by doing your bit too. Thanks for your support and understanding during these unusual times; play hard, take your hits and HAVE FUN! The following page will be updated as things progress and information becomes available. https://www.aceairsoft.co.uk/covid-19-update.html For further information, please refer and adhere to the advice given by your local health authority https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public.
