I'd recommend one of the Odin or clone type loaders, and then head on over to https://www.airtac.me/ And see if they make an adapter to suit your needs. I picked up one for my G&G SMC9 mags which I wasn't expecting to be a thing! I had one of the electric types about 20 years ago, and they're not great tbh from what I remember, the feed nozzle was weak and broke easily.4 points

My own placard made by FirstSpear - Ammo Hub A1
Unreal Warfare and 2 others reacted to TheFull9 for a topic
Truly shameless self promotion alert - also aimed very much at the military so forewarning if you're not in to kit that's way OTT for airsoft. If I may I'd like to present the Ammo Hub A1, a supremely modular placard that at the core level is designed to be the foundational basis for carrying your primary mags either on the front of a PC or built up to a chest rig. I get that from the picture that it really doesn't look like much, but please believe me when I say the design is done in such a way that there are 10s of thousands of potential setups you can build and the aftermarket integration features of the placard are done such that the interfaces are super sleek and tucked away - mostly they comprise of slots and various velcro areas. It takes any mag insert with hook velcro on both sides like Spiritus and HSP so it'll work for ARs, AKs and all SMGs just like the other micro rigs many of you will be familiar with. I'm not currently aware of a PC with placard integration on the front that this cannot attach to. It can take different top and side attachment buckle options as well as any PALS pouches on the front, sides and base and Tubes compatible dangler pouches/sub loads. It can be stacked on top of itself or mounted side by side with itself if you buy 2 and want that capacity and capability. Any back strap or harness that uses industry standard 1" buckles can be attached but the side attachment loops can be tucked away entirely when used on a PC. If you have a cummerbund that includes FS Tubes it can clip in directly to the placard rather than the front plate bag for maximum security (extra Tubes purchase req'd); but if that doesn't apply for your PC there's also a way to strap the bottom of the placard to the bottom of the plate bag. Because of its' size it can be slightly curved even with 3 AR mags stored and it will stick to your PC/chest rig base better than most other similar products. The Ammo Hub is very very light and kept slim by the use of FirstSpear's specific 6/12 cordura/loop velcro laminate fabric while still being made to meet or exceed the specs required for military applications in terms of strength and durability of both materials and stitching. The hub is shown here mounted to the front of an FS Plate Carrier with 3 EMAGs stowed inside: The first small batch will only be in MC and will available around late feb/early march. There's are no 2 ways about it though, it will be expensive. You're looking at something roughly in the region of $60-70 (exact details TBC) for the basic setup with just top attachment buckles and you'll then need an insert of your choosing to retain mags, but I'd imagine a lot of interested folks will already own compatible ones. At least at first they'll only be available from FS in the states but of course I'll work with shops like Tactical-Kit to bring it to the UK if the desire is there and the opportunity arises. If there's desire in the market then more colours will be shortly forthcoming and I have lots of ideas for my own harnesses/back straps and expander wings etc to compliment the wide variety already available out there that are compatible from the likes of Ferro, Spiritus and Haley. NB - There is actually room for 5 x SMG mags like MP5 and ARP9. I'll be gradually talking about and showing all the many features in depth and close up over the coming weeks on my business IG/FB page so feel free to follow if you'd like to know more: https://www.instagram.com/f9gear_/ https://www.facebook.com/F9-Gear-1052134953499203 points -

Well, it took until v7 for all the various issues to be ironed out, but my ICS Galil Midcaps are done for now. They are designed to use PTS EPM springs and followers, as well as 5 M3x14 bolts, 5 M3x0.5 square nuts, the bottom screw and square nut from the high cap, and the spring/retainer arm from the high cap. This particular one holds 104 BBs. I will do a feeding test once I get my Galil back from the shop - should be at least two weeks. To be honest the surplus of bolts is a bit overkill and technically none are needed - the metal high cap shell provides plenty of compression strength and the sole bottom bolt/nut would technically hold the insert in place, but I have like 300 random M3 bolts and nuts from other projects, and this way mag insterts can be kept in one piece outside of the shell, for shipping or should a user ever want to switch back to a highcap.3 points -

Electric speedloader in UK
Rogerborg and 2 others reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
i've never really encountered many of the electric variety of loaders, general airsoft lore seems to suggest they aren't the greatest generally citing limited power or poor reliability. however an alternative proposal would be to look at the odin M12, it's manually operated but significantly quicker and easier to use than a conventional type loader (to the point reloading mid-game is entirely viable). it's built for m4 mags but you can get adapters to fit other patterns (the evo included). there are a ton of clones out there with mixed opinions on their efficacy (commonly seems to be handles break on them) but the original model is a very reliable peice. ofc the odin won't really work well for pistol mags, but it's not so bad to load them with a traditional loader.3 points -

I love mine and it never lets me down. I run nuprol red 3.0 in the cold months to keep it around 300fps with the TM red dot on it. I had to replace the slide stop because the pin sheered off and was advised a AIP one from Mike the Hi-capa guru. I epoxied some adapter on to the plastic outer barrel so I could run a tracer but that is all I have done to it and it has never let me down and I used it a lot when I got it as a primary. If you have small hands the hi-capa is big. I take a small in gloves and can manage it however. As far as a tether goes I'd just invest in a good holster. Here is some footage of me using it I sprint at the start of every game and never had my pistol or magazines eject. Noticed a few of these type of posts cropping up recently. I strongly suspect spam or some dodgy sellers looking to up their post count before advertising some ridiculously overpriced tat which will end up being deservedly mercilessly mocked on Mack's Airsoft Walts, Charlatans and Spivs thread. Well.. update time... I caved in and bought one... Bought from Onlyairsoft in stevenage, and I got the last one they had in stock. I have been looking at this rifle all week, and watching them quickly go out of stock everywhere, that combined with a couple of friends expressing regret at not buying a RIF they really wanted (believing it would be restocked but then weren't), I decided to take the plunge, as well as buying the one spare mag I could find at wolf armouries. I haven't been able to field it yet, so can't comment much on performance, but the rifle feels very sturdy, the action is easy to draw back (unlike the upgraded spring in my Well Hecate). I did try doing a "mad minute" with the rifle on the test range at onlyairsoft and it fed well, with only one double feed that was down to user error more than the rifle (didnt pull the bolt all the way back to engage the sear on one shot) Couple of things I do feel wary of though are the magazine release, as it is not spring loaded. I can easily imagine catching it accidentally in the heat of battle with a gloved finger and dropping your mag. The lever is high up in the trigger guard so I don't see it being a common issue, just that one time you try to rapid fire and accidentally catch it. The other thing I have noted is some sideways movement of the rear sight. The sight is not so loose that it will move on its own when firing the rifle, but there is enough movement that an accidental nudge, for example with the rifle slung on your shoulder, could move the sights out of alignment, so without attention it will be difficult to zero the sights and keep them zeroed. I havent looked too closely, but I believe I can sort this issue with some shims on the pivot I will eventually be stripping the wood furniture and trying to give it more of an aged look, as I personally think that would suit the rifle better than its current pristine appearance. Also going to be looking at making/buying some attachments to give the rifle different looks for ww1 "trench tommy" or ww2 paratrooper or BEF loadouts I have planned3 points

Yeah really it depends on whether you've got a tight bore barrel on there. Have you upgraded the hop unit and bucking? What sort of rate of fire is it getting, I would have to factor in the price of a new motor probably. And definitely need to buy a couple of cans of paint, looks like someone has scribbled on it, needs a touch-up £100 all in? 😄😁😉 that's a really cool thing, hope you get a good price3 points -
I got to play with my new DE M908A this weekend, another good Sunday out where we all enjoyed ourselves (myself, my son, and a friend of his). My experience with the tweaked M908A though was a bit 50/50, and I'm not sure how long this post will be so I'll probably follow it up with another in a day or two with a few photos. Out of the box the rifle was pretty gutless, only 315 FPS on 0.20g BBs with no hop on and 11.1v Titan LiIo battery, so even to use it as an AEG it would have needed a spring change. First of it was swapping in a Maple Leaf Macaron 70 Degree and Omega Nub. Like my son's M906C the arm of the hop unit had an extra recess to hold the red rubber nub in it, with the nub having a bump on its top that fits in this. Now, this is nothing scientific, but this arm is not the same as that on my earlier M904E which is a traditional arm as it appears that the arm with the recess even with no hop actually applied is pushing down already and introducing hop. Even a slight turn of the hop units wheel pushed the nub down heavily, and even with no hop set at all the FPS was down to 288. Also, and this may be more down to the inner barrel and its manufacturing / quality or the same of the hop unit, but the substantial "patch" of the ML bucking just would not maintain a inform shape with or without hop applied. Next the spring, and in went a Gearparts M130 spring which gave me 433 FPS on 0.20g with no hop, and 412 FPS on 0.20g with a small amount of hop. All good for the site I primarily play at which has a 420 FPS DMR limit. So far, with my chrono and some back garden action all was looking good, and a cheap Eotech XPS2 red dot and G33 clone magnifier finished things off so I was ready to have a real game with it using 0.30g BBs. Onto the skirmish with it and arriving nice and early it was a jaunt out of the safe zone to set things up, and the results were somewhat disappointing. The range was there, I could shoot out to 60 meters or more fine without having to lob the BBs at all, but the hop was all over the shop and miniscule adjustments produced wild result sending BBs into orbit after 40 or so meters or occasionally almost no hop at all. The actual games showed that the range was there, however now it was obvious that grouping at distance was crap, at times it felt like the BB's were maybe up to 1 1/2 feet either side of center out at 40 to 50 meters so I had to fire five or so shots to get a hit and my DMR became a long range support gun to be effective. As I said above it was a good day out, and we all had fun, but the M908A obviously needed a lot more work to it with my wallet being hit again. So, we're now onto me buying the following... a ZCI rotary hop unit (I don't trust the stock one, and don't need the smoke and mirrors of an overpriced bright yellow metal unit if you know what I mean) + a Maple Leaf 410mm 6.02 inner barrel (longer than the stock 385mm one) + a Maple Leaf MR 70 Degree bucking (I want accuracy at range) + a Gearparts M110 spring (I've still got a spare M120 but I want options just in-case the ML inner barrel makes things hotter than expected). At the moment I don't think I need to play around with cylinders. On a positive though I think the M908A as a platform is spot on, it has the great optical controller, the knock off Geissele handguard is nice, the outer barrel is long enough to support the size of inner barrels I'll need, and the metal receiver was easy to drill and tap an M4 hole so I could mechanically lock the rifle to semi-only. I think my next game may be on the 16th February, so more than enough time to do some more work on the rifle.2 points

Tactical Pith Helmet and one other reacted to Skara for a topic
Today was interesting. We played in the lower part of the field (hardest one die to steepness and vegetation) which we haven't visited since last summer, vegetation had grown up exponentially, all the usual flanking paths were blocked so we had to improvise and find new ways around some of the objectives.. Games went relatively well, in one the whole attack got wiped out by a single defender and it was a rather fun scene to watch: this guy literally standing in the open spots the team, opens fire while still standing in the open and nobody saw him Could have been a very enjoyable morning if it wasn't for the many, many complaints I received about one kid who wasn't calling his hits. It's the same kid I had a couple of sketchy engagements in the recent past but didn't bother me too much, I just held onto the trigger a little longer than usual and ultimately he called it. Today though, every single game someone would come up to me saying this kid didn't call the hit, that they had seen BBs bounce off his body and this sparked a bit of tension towards the end of the day. Usually when this kind of stuff happens I just tell them to get smarter at dealing with it *ahem, just fire a slightly longer burst and maybe close the distance while doing so, pain can be an amazingly effective teacher* I guess I'll have a chat with said kid soon, he will probably deny everything but still worth a try.2 points -
The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Badgerlicious and one other reacted to Impulse for a topic
I don't think I've had such a good game day in years. Literally just over a decade ago. Last time I had a game day like this I was a teenager living and playing in Spain. Spent the morning before the safety brief doing my walk around the site, looking for new positions to use as hides with good sight lines on objective areas and bases, as well as improving some of my usual spots (moving foliage and stuff). When we played I used one of my new spots for the first game and literally got about 20 kills with a bolt action, though I didn't get fully into the position as my team was swarming around me, pulling lots of attention on the area meaning I couldn't move without being detected. Then we swapped sides, I went to one of my old spots I had improved and racked up another 20 or so (literally lost count both games). One of the marshalls came up after the game and said "you had a pretty nice little angle there. I was just watching them push up and then get shot in the side" after the game as he saw what was going on and had to step out of my line of fire a few times. Missed most of the 3rd game because I had to refill my mags, which I never usually have to do, and got chatting with people in the safe zone. When I got out, we were super losing, but I managed to get into another of my positions and was picking people off at the base we had to attack for a few minutes before the game ended. Ever since last game day where I discovered my VSR is effectively and accurately reaching out to 85m I've just been taking the piss and making the most of the absurd range. It hops a little at 65 - 70m, so I have to aim a little lower for those very specific shots, but the trade off of hitting 75 - 85m directly on is fantastic. Wasn't going to go out after lunch as I was tired (new year resolution to lose weight, so there's calorie restriction going on) and was like "can I top that morning? Probably not." Then I did. Held a base by myself for a long time, occasionally directing a few rental kids who came to reinforce me (which was massively appreciated!). Constantly picking people off, including a pair who took cover about 2m from me and didn't see me leaning against the branch barricade due to my ghillie. Hit one with the mk23, then the other when he came to medic his buddy, and then another guy about 30m off on the flank who also hadn't seen me. Eventually got taken out, ran back to respawn (up a hill. I don't usually run much, much less up a steep hill, but I was feeling it today and wanted to get back in the fight), then came back, lay on my belly about 60m out from the base that they had now taken and started terrorising the defenders just as I had when I was defending the base myself. They had no idea where the shots were coming from and I was just constantly picking them off. I think I probably ended up with 65, maybe 70 kills through the day. No exaggeration, I burned through a lot of my .48s and now I need to restock, I think I went through somewhere between 150 and 200 .48s. They expensive With a bolt action these game days rarely come up, but I'm really getting used to how my VSR shoots and the vegetation is very sparse, allowing me to take those super long distance shots. I'm usually content with like... 15 - 20 through the whole day, but when these days come around it makes you feel like a million dollars. As I said, last time it happened was in the south of Spain when I was 17 years old.2 points -

Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)
EvilMonkee reacted to RebelScum for a topic
Okay, we have an update, which won't surprise regular followers of this thread. So in the tortoise versus tortoise race between Gunfire and Taiwangun to import a RIF into the UK, team Taiwangun seem to have fallen at the first hurdle, and to quote an email they sent me last night, "...for the moment we are still not able to sent the package. We are working with DHL but is not so simple" [sic]. So in short we haven't even got to a place where getting TG to import into the UK is a realistic prospect. Team Gunfire, however, did manage to send their parcel that I ordered on the 19th December on the 21st December, after which we enter the wonderful world of UPS again. To be fair to UPS things have improved slightly, insofar as they managed to get the parcel to the UK on the 23rd December, but unfortunately there was no Christmas miracle. On the 28th December I received an email telling me that UPS were delivering the parcel (with apparently no RIF declaration required), but the cynic in me said that this was unlikely to happen, and it didn't. An import scan took place on the 4th January, and on the 5th January UPS rang me to tell me that unless I filled in a RIF form by 1400 that day they'd be sending the package back to Poland. I pointed out that this was the first time they'd spoken to me and I'd received no emails or phone calls to ask me to fill in a form. The agent then emailed me a form to fill in, which amused me somewhat as it contained a packing list that included cake, cheese, cookies, soup, fudge, a handwarmer and some waffles, rather than a RIF and some kit. Anyway I sent UPS an old form I had which I amended with the new order, they billed me the import charges which worked out at about £60 for a £300 order (20%-ish?), plus a £10 processing fee. The parcel is currently sat awaiting Customs clearance, but is getting scanned every other day. Knowing UPS they'll update the tracking after the parcel is on my doorstep, so it's anyone's guess when it'll be released and delivered; I'll reserve judgement on how well they've done after the parcel turns up. Lessons learned? TG is still a no-go. Clearly using DHL is not working out as they thought. Gunfire is a possibility so long as you don't need anything too quickly and you meet their minimum order threshold. UPS are a lottery as usual, but at least their UK brokerage team called me (eventually), and they themselves said they think things are better now, compared to 12-months ago. I'll update again when the Gunfire parcel arrives, so you can judge the delivery times yourself and whether it's worth the inevitable hassle.1 point -

I've got a stubby grip on order for it to complete the look. I tried my Kobra on the RIS rail - it still has too high an eye-line.
