    The TM AKM thread

Mate, will you just let it drop. Your behaviour is doing you no flavours, and you've already received a warning from Jedi for your actions, so knock it on the head and leave it now please.

  3. Putting the energy in yourself makes it more personal. Same with shotguns. Hours and hours of futile jerking your hand back and forth, but what a feeling when you finally blow your load right in someone's face.

  4. I put it down to Youtubers who spunk £1000's into a silverback or VSR, and then edit gameplay to make it look like they shoot lasers, rather than the truth of sitting in a bush, firing 10 rounds to hit the target, then spend the afternoon in the safe zone wondering why it's not working. People watch it, buy a novitwat or cyma/well/jg and a scope and wonder why they're not doing it, and sell it after 2 games.

  5. 1st world problems On the rare occasion where I start to feel like this (usually from a prolonged time away from airsoft) I just turn on the news, 5 minutes later I am not exactly raring to go but it puts my (self cantered whinging) lack of motivation under a spotlight. Frustration with the last 18 months restrictions and impact on my business and finances would be top of my list of reasons to feel a lack of enthusiasm for something I enjoy doing. We all need our own motivation to get off our arses, looking at the shit show in Afghanistan and the fact that people would try and hold onto a plane as it takes off and getting killed doing so puts my life into perspective somewhat. Airsoft is not the answer, but a profound lack of motivation to do something you normally enjoy? I think you are asking yourself the wrong question about the wrong subject. go airsofting, change your attitude to the Teflon’s It’s more fun that way. (As this is out of my usual posting type, Normal service will be resumed)

    RIF Incident in News

Bit torn on this one, understand the bs the officer has to go through had he shot him dead....... BUUUT nonce with a rifle threatening innocent civilians, kind of case an investigation/inquest should take all of 5 minutes to rule on, ending with a commendation for the officer for his exceptional work for getting rid of a low life pos🤬

  10. You use the phrase 1st world problems as if it’s something to be ashamed off , yes the pictures coming out of Afghan are horrendous BUT it’s nothing new is it ? Every time you switch on the news there’s more and more horror and suffering played out in 4KHD from some 3rd world shithole wether it’s famine/war/climate change/political upheaval/etc that’s caused it , but there is literally nothing we can do about any of it except offer some false sympathy and send the ubiquitous ‘thoughts and prayers’ and some loose change from down the back of the sofa to be embezzled by the corrupt government of what ever country it is so the locals will be lucky to get 20p on the pound that gets sent ? Yes this may be a ‘1st world problem’ but just because no ones getting killed or displaced or what ever still doesn’t mean it’s not possibly going to have a massive effect on the person experiencing it ?

  11. @Dentonboy I had this last weekend. Ended up last minute.com ing my kit and running round in the woods with a ngrs that really needs a service (240fps on .25s) and had the time of my life. Was competing with hicap heroes using low fos and midsize and getting some brilliant kills through field craft and thinking rather than eying on kit. Was a lot of fun. (Not as much fun as sneaking up on an oblivious Player whilst using an m60 but y'know)

  12. Extremely bittersweet moment for me. Off to my first game in forever on Saturday, got some fancy new RIFs to play around with, making sure all my kit fits... I've lost a few inches off my waist since last attending, my shooters belt won't adjust down small enough and my bottoms (UFPros) fall down. I guess I'll get those up for sale then, and try and source some replacements ahead of Saturday. Weird mixture of very proud/smug, and gutted because I'd finally got 'the perfect setup' for me.

  13. Police need to be equipped with fully automatic woodchippers. We need a Woodchipper Pride Month, I already have a flag in mind. I hope, I really hope, that they look into whoever sold the nonce that RIF and do them for it if they don't have a rock solid defence. And when I rant about AirsoftWorld and Fat Bobs selling to anyone who asks without a real defence, this is why.

  14. We are simple creatures. Try and find a way to reward yourself for getting out of bed and achieving an exercise goal. For example, if I get my arse out of bed and exercise for three mornings a week, I eat a stupid amount of chip shop food on a Wednesday lunchtime (minus the chips) as I have time off. I mean about two portions of fish, fishcakes, sausages, spring rolls, onion rings, mushrooms, pickled eggs, curry sauce, cod roe, mushy pea fritters etc. In terms of calories in and out I am well ahead, but having avoided crap all week, my complete stuffing my face with a couple of glasses of red and a snooze is well enjoyed. Indeed, I am so rammed that I sometimes next eat Thursday evening. I dare say that you are not as gluttonous a bastard as I, so perhaps something else will tempt you from the fart sack, but essentially find a carrot as it were. Secondly find a stick. I think of a relative that died from complications from diabetes. It helps get my arse out of bed. Third set goals. Small goals each day/every other day, plus perhaps a final goal. Fourth, get support. Having others around you who back you up is priceless. Fifth, find an exercise you like. If you enjoy something, the carrot, stick, goal and possibly support is there all at once.

  16. Just wanted to put this out there, as it is something I am going through, and others might be too. I turned down the opportunity to skirmish last week, which would've been my first since last summer (which was in itself the first in six months) as I have completely lost the enthusiasm to play. The thought of testing batteries after so long, hoping magazines are still gas tight and hauling it all out of the loft, let alone the prospect of potentially playing alongside players who become aggressive or argumentative just killed any desire to do this again. I know I have felt similar in the past, and have got through it and played again, but I feel now that I am mentally tallying up my kit in prices and thinking what it would all fund.

    Hello

Hi all, just getting back into airsoft after a 20 year break. Pretty sure I used to come to this forum back then, although the only name I remember was a mod called Beaker. I had a pretty good collection back then, mainly TM which occasionally I'd take to work for unofficial skirmishes...got away with it too😀 Hope to be able to contribute when I get back upto speed.

  20. @Dentonboy are you feeling like this just about airsoft, or other things in life too? If the latter then it sounds like you may be suffering from depression or a similar mental health issues. If so then I suggest talking to your GP about possible treatment options, whether they're medication, talking therapy or something else

    ASG MP9 vs TM MP7

It is personal preference. As a left hander ambi controls will always win out over crossbolt controls. I also found the grip on the mp9 grip position would cause the skin on my trigger finger and the web of my thumb to rub and become sore quickly.

  28. Wow that is nice and cheap. I have two of these and can vouch for them. £50 for the Carrier, front panel and backpack is an absolute steal.

    ASG MP9 vs TM MP7

I think it's fair to say that the ergonomics are somewhat subjective. Personally (and I've since learned I am not alone in this) I hate the very upright grip angle on the MP7.

    ASG MP9 vs TM MP7

Both SMGs are actually pretty solid little performers so if you prefer the look of one or the other then go for that one. I personally use the TM mp7 as a sidearm in a holster but still the range and consistency you get out of it stock is very impressive. (I use it with green gas out of the box and it does fine.) In fact it's a really snappy little gun to shoot. Just be aware that it is a 90% size replica as that may bother some people. As far as the MP9, they look like really solid options but I have less experience with them. Just be aware that they'll need the 1J CQB bolt in them if they don't already have that.

    ASG MP9 vs TM MP7

I can’t speak for the MP9, but the MP7 really is a mini MWS performance wise. It’s also extremely intimidating noise wise which is only amplified if you’re indoors. Has good gas capacity and holds 40rds a mag.

Also using a Viper Tactical VX Sling. Got somerubber rail protectors, to make it more comfortable to hold. Here are my upgrades: ORGA LEX05 6.05mm inner barrel – 275mm Prometheus Air Seal Chamber Packing – Soft Firefly Namazu Flat Hop – Hard Air Pad v2/v3 3/16” 70D I also cleaned up and shimmed the gearbox. Fair to say I'm happy with it!

  41. Totally agree it’s budget dependant. I like to “buy once cry once” but that said it doesn’t mean real has to be expensive. A pat.83 chest rig is the same price if not cheaper than that Krydex rig and it will stand up to so much more abuse, it’s one less thing to worry about breaking in our game of toy guns.
