  1. Rifles with pistol caliber mags just look like those guys in the gym who always skip leg day 😂 I would add H&K MP7 - both the real and TM versions are great but they are so un-ergonomic to hold…and that is before people start adding a red dot….and a PEQ….and a torch….then badly Krylon the whole abortion

  3. inspired by some recent random chat about the scorpion evo figured it might be a fun idea to find out how many folks have irrational hatred for guns (or aspects of them). so what guns do you think are good (either real or airsoft), but you hate them anyway? for me it's glocks, i get that both real and (the good) airsoft versions make for fine gats, simple, easy to use, reliable and effective enough to get the job done. i can understand their popularity and i'll admit if i actually had to bet my life on a handgun it would be a good choice. but i hate them, they're boring, boxy, and the tat people sprinkle on them or carve into them with soldering irons just makes it worse. i also hate the fashion for putting buffer tube stocks on everything, ak's being most prominent but anything from shotguns, mp5's, scar's etc. i get that it means adjustability, i get that it allows a wide selection of stock options, i get that it makes sense. but i still hate it.

  7. I agree with your there. The Evo looks totally uninspired like a placeholder gun in a game before they hired a graphic designer. Admittedly I do kind of like it like this but then I realised it's rather just have an mpx

Nope completely missed the the point there bud , got fornication all to do with its performance for all I care you could be taking out players on a different site in a different county the range and accuracy is that monumental . No it’s ALL about the fact it looks like it’s been squeezed out of a giant lump of man cheese that makes it soooooooooooooo repulsive ! 🤮

  10. I can't stand the look of M4 style 9mm rifs. They just look deformed. A perfectly usable, well thought out platform, but just wrong.

  11. I feel you, I take one look at an AK and suddenly the handguard comes loose and the front iron sight bents to the right or goes canted but I just want an AKS 74u that doesn't look like it's been assembled by an idiot or it's from Khyber pass 😂 I hate anything that has a drum mag when it technically shouldn't have a drum mag, come near me with one of those neon magazines on a 9mm M4 and I'll throw hands 😂

  12. Am I the only one who's not seeing what the problem is? If you want to get an airsoft pistol for target shooting you can, just buy a two-tone. Nobody needs any defence for anything and away you go. If you just want to rapid target shoot then the colour of the thing really shouldn't matter.

Like I said, there is a use case here where it is too cold for any kind of propane based gas and you really want to use your MWS, HPA is the only option 😂 It’ll be clunky to operate but you’ll get an awesome and consistent fps even in the coldest environments.

    Sixmm.Com Review

I recently received an order of parts from sixmm, checked that the bits I wanted were in stock via whatsapp beforehand. Everything was sent with free post by air mail and the order was split into two packages, both breezed through customs and arrived nicely one day after the other. No complaints from me thus far.

    Ak12 Low Joules

A full cylinder will help up the power. New motor and Maple Leaf will not do much in that regard. A stronger spring is the main component affecting power once you've checked the air seal is good. Someone will help with the best spring... (My guess is M110 or M120) Going from 7.4v to 11.1v will cycle faster but put much more strain on components.

  22. i know, ended up importing a pk1 which is a wonderful bit of kit, doesn't work indoors but it's still a head turner (and a few stomachs admittedly). very purple though..... although it does teach you the meaning of the term "bore offset" i'd love a 1p29, not because i think it's good but because my god that's a weird optic.....

  24. AAP01. It is good and clearly sells, but I still hate it. Sounds shit, feels very unsubstantial in the hand, and the bolt is actually heavier than a lot of other pistol slides despite being much smaller.
    1 point
  25. I do agree, although aside from the pso, pk-a and kobra there's not a lot of options for dedicated siderail optics in the repro market. Which is a shame because a lot of the siderail stuff is the most steampunk glass you can get.

Was doing some general maintenance to my pistols and came to realise I have more pistols than long guns... And I want more! I still need a handful of parts to upgrade the STTI mk23 (bottom left) and the Bell 1911 (2nd from right) which I'll get first, but there's at least a TM HK45 Tactical, Bell m9 and Bell MEU on the list of pistols I want to add to the collection.

    Ukara New Purchase

nah once you have it in your possession 99.999999% of people wouldn’t question or care how you came to own it. The small % that may ask are cops if your silly enough to wave it around in public or not be sensible with it. you got lucky with it. Although I’m assuming you paid £10 extra for two tone so I might ask for a refund (joke btw) keep it and be happy

  31. I can understand the hate for Evo's. I run around with my little SMG version, taking out the £2000 bush sniper boi's left, right and indeed centre. In terms of guns I think are effective but I dislike. Add me to the long list of people who think HPA setups look awful. Thankfully my local site has banned such monstrosities.

    THE TM MWS thread

You’re more than welcome to justify your choice as much as you wish, I just wanted to highlight that you’re making a claim that HPA is going to improve something that it isn’t. I’d strongly recommend you do some proper research and weigh up the positives and negatives. I’m not intending to entirely come across as a prick here (while fully aware I am), but given you’re statement in your previous post it leaps out to me that you perhaps don’t know exactly what running a RIF on HPA entails. I dare say you’re far more worried about the cold weather than you should be, but it seems you’ve got your mind set on it so I won’t waste any further breath. My final piece of advice being, once you’ve tarnished those poor mags with HPA taps I’d probably avoid putting photos of them in here. Lest you be bombarded with ‘Careful Nows’ and burn the witch gifs… and that’s assuming the folks decide to keep it civil 👀. As always, you do you, but it’s probably for the best that you know what to expect.

  42. I can think of one but I'm going to leave it for a certain someone who's way more opinionated lol. For me the only stock that looks right on an MP5 is the collapsing A3. I can't stand stubby versions of full length rifles, they all look shite. I know for airsoft barrel length really doesn't matter but I feel like anything less than 8" just looks weird ( oi oi ) Conversely, extra long pistols also look wank. They're the least subtle way to tell people you feel inadequate short of getting it out and waving it at people. Other than that just unnecessary pic rails stuck on everything.

Aye, it'll be so much easier replacing gas refills with... Carrying a heavy tank on your back Having to disconnect and reconnect a line everytime you reload (or having a drum mag made up, which will just be a significant weight increase) Reducing have easy the RIF is to manipulate because you're tethered to it Having to get your tank filled up Doing maintenance on your HPA equipment to keep it airtight and safe Doing additional maintenance on everything because the air is so dry Yup, a real time saver and increase in convenience 👀. The beneft of HPA is consistency and that's about it, outside of that you're making your life harder versus running it as a regular GBBR.

  47. Any reason this is worth more than the £145 I could buy this from a retailer for, which includes a warranty?
    1 point
  48. Sadly the point of the VCRA is to only allow realistic coloured guns to be sold to people who legitimately need their guns to look realistic. For target shooting the colour is purely aesthetic. UKARA isn't the only defence, re-enactors get a defence as well but that requires membership of a re-enactment group and not every retailer will be familiar enough with this. A lot of WW2 airsofters use AFRA membership rather than UKARA, as we rarely go to the same site 3 times in a year and our games also qualify as re-enactment.

  49. Your definition of 'helpful' seems to be 'a way I can change the law,' well I'm sorry, you can't, so nothing you hear from anyone will be 'helpful' to you in that case. The simple fact is that if you want a 6mm BB gun in the colour of 'blued steel' you will need to be able to provide the seller with a defence. For most sellers this will be by giving them UKARA details, and whilst others will accept (and be well within the law by doing so) other forms of evidence that you are intending to use the gun at a proper airsoft site, none of them should be willing to accept the angle of 'I really want to shoot at paper targets but it just won't be the same unless the gun looks proper real.' Here's the helpful bit; your options are: - buy two tone; after all, you're only shooting at targets - play some airsoft and therefore be able to provide a seller with a defence - attempt to get a seller to put themselves in a potentially very serious legal position by selling to you despite the facts that you cannot provide them with any defence - buy something in .177/4.5mm, since they perform in basically the same way as other guns (and certainly allow you to rapidly shoot targets) and look the same as 'real guns' (including blued steel variants) but you need only be over 18 to get one Hope that helps.
    1 point
  50. Frankly I wouldn't care if they were all two tone. When I play airsoft I do so because it's a game, not because I want to look all speshul forces. It seems to me that your initial post - 'I just want to do some target shooting' - needed to also include: 'but the fact that the thing can shoot targets is only partially the point, I also want a pretend gun that looks real.' The funny thing is that loads of proper target shooters, like IPSC people, go out of their way to make their pistols look less like 'proper guns' (as Rock-Climby-Dave has shown)
