They may have been mouthing things that they didn't type though. Personally, I try not to piss off sellers, since I'm essentially relying on your goodwill to post the thing off at all. I am genuinely curious as to why you don't list the PayPal G&S price, since in most cases you're then going to ask for that anyway, right? Is it because you reckon you get more interest by listing at £30 rather than £31.20? But how does that gel with flexing about having more buyers lined up than you can cope with? Wouldn't it be better to put off filthy poors who are going to baulk at the real price, and not waste your valuable time in dealing with their grunting and grumbling? 🤔7 points

Have been working on the pulse rifle , had some extra base plates 3D’ed for the spare mags , made a better sling for it , fitted sling mounts , got a PEQ for it(thanks to the awesome @Stratton Oakmont) and did a wee bit of ‘weathering’ as well , had wanted to send it to @GearTechto have a pukka job done but monies just too tight at the mo so had a bash me self !4 points -
Time for something a bit different? Kj Works KC02 in a Samson B-TM stock with custom turned tapered barrel, VSR hop and Rogueworx internals. How’s about a cheeky bit of Bullpup action too? GHK G5 in a SRU kit with a real Eotech 552 as the cherry on the top. I’ve got a HPA kit that lets me run AEG mags in it, but I’m way too lazy to fit it so I’ll be running a HPA drum mag on saturday4 points

100% agree , I’m selling something I post up an amount i’d ‘like’ (obviously with a number I’d be happy to take in my head)and that’s the amount I ask for . I’ve always thought when selling anything I can’t be bothered to F*** about with different prices with or without P&P , fees , etc etc if the buyer can meet me and do a face to face for cash then obviously i’d negotiate a discount on the asking price , and as basically EVERYONE uses paypal with buyer protection as standard sticking the fees on as an ‘extra’ is quite frankly a puerile thing to do and just a dick move , simple as that really .3 points

Seems to be a lot of misconception in here that the buyer pays the fees for the protection of G&S, which is not what the fee is for. It’s just a transaction fee that should be absorbed by the seller imo charging the buyer fees is a dick move in any circumstance. I’m happy to cover postage, but don’t act like bloody Ticketmaster3 points -
I wasn’t happy with what you can buy either , as others said most don’t bend enough so I made my own . I used a piece of dense foam(think it was an old dummy plate) cut a ruff shape then finished shaping with couple of different grits of sandpaper . I made a ‘dagger’ shaped knife and a tomahawk , AND best thing is because they are foam my site allows them to be thrown so I can lob my tomahawk at other players ! 😆😆😆2 points

Nuprol power smart charger?
Lozart and one other reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
I'm not sure about that - the form-factor of Airsoft LiPos is different to most RC stuff - especially Buffer tube LiPos - their shape is generally different to anything I would stick in an RC Plane or Car, so for them to be rejects means that there is another use for them somewhere in the RC world, which I've not seen in my experience. I would not be surprised if they are simply produced on a line with lower quality/purity materials and QC measures though - most airsofters would never know what Internal resistance is when it comes to batteries, let alone try and measure it. Think my chargers have an IR function - Next time I charge my Airsoft LiPos, I'll have a look.2 points -
Sales Dispute - General Opinion Sought
Cr0-Magnon and one other reacted to Skara for a topic
Generally when I sell a gun, I take many pictures of the insides + one/two videos of chrono readings and general test fire (dumping a full high cap so I have plenty of footage), plus I save the whole conversation (+ pictures/videos/voice messages). I still have the whole footage from when I sold my Ares Honey Badger, Striker and ARP-9.. Also I'll be 101% honest, if a buyer comes up with "I sent the gun to a tech and he said X" I demand video proof of the whole inspection process by said tech. Otherwise it never happened.2 points -
I’d have to disagree with you there , it is still applicable but it’s just when we apply the term in daily life we mean ‘all made to the same tolerances and interchangeable with all similar platforms’ ? whereas in airsoft ‘standard’ mean “stop complaining, they sort off look the same !” 😳 😉👍2 points

Speedbird_666 and one other reacted to Lozart for a topic
Not a bad habit by any means and certainly for the big RC packs it's a VERY good idea but equally it's by no means a necessity to storage charge every time you use a LiPo. Is it likely to improve the lifespan of the battery? Sure. Will it stop your house burning down? Only if you actually treat the batteries properly over and above the storage charging and don't use them once they inevitably start to degrade. I personally don't bother and have had more issues with batteries puffing up due to to being shit batteries than anything else. Since making sure I only get decent quality batteries, I don't have as much of an issue. Plus if one does start to puff up, I fuck it off and buy a new one because they're just not that expensive.2 points -
Why should it be absorbed by the seller? I have listed both ways and never had an issue I either inflate the price so you pay it. Or i list it and you pay it. Either way, you are paying it. Same with P&P. If they collect, they get to save on the part of the inflate price. This is probably why i do well on sales. I price is at what i want to get and leave it until the correct buyer comes along. If it doesn't sell, meh not an issue. I am doing them a favour in being able to buy something touched by me.2 points
-
Well, costed in. And it is something that I'll always choose to pay for as buyer, because it does give me protection, versus F&F or a bank transfer with no comeback. This is unlike postage, which is the seller's concern, not mine. I'm absolutely fine with sellers doing the calculation of: money they want in their pocket + postage fees for their chosen method of sending + PayPal G&S fees. Just do it up front and list that as your asking price. Don't get an offer then start considering postage costs, or sucking your teeth and saying "Ooh, you want to use PayPal, and you don't want to just give me the money without any chance of getting it back? Wow, such unusual, very unexpect, I'll need to work out the fees for that." That's me, anyway. It may be the case that most buyers are happy paying F&F / bank transfer. I'd be fascinated to know, ideally from a prolific seller who doesn't have a clown in this fight.2 points

The blow back mech puts more strain and more holes in the gearbox so they are weaker than a convention v2 gear box which can crack at the front any way. You need to decided what you want the gun to do 1st before you can think about upgrading.2 points

As with all things Airsoft, the word "standard" doesn't really apply... I've been using Lonex flash mags (Metal stanag version, not the polymer one) since I got back to the game in 2015. They fit and feed in every gun I slap them into, G&G, G&P, TM, Ares, ICS, Specna/Dboys/Evolution/Saigo, King Arms, custom made lowers, VFC, you name it.2 points
-
Perfectly put 🙂 Reason why I stopped selling mags, too many people complaining that the product was "broken" when in fact just didn't work for their particular AEG. Then sending them back all scratched up looking like been run over by a truck and then demanding a refund. QC can always be better but in this case I think it's more down to the design tolerances of the lower receiver / magwell of each brand.2 points

To echo Badgerlicious, tape is handy, sticky backed velcro is the final solution sometimes, sort of thick tape on steroids. Thus far no M4, L85, or M16 has failed to respond to the lads painstaking tape it the fucking max approach. Aesthetics are however another matter...2 points -

- For sale
- As new
For sale is a brand new Arthurian Airsoft Excalibur Crusader M16. I purchased this with the 203 attached but decided to go for a recoil and have fitted 203 to that. This didn’t come with front sling ring due to the 203 but will look to obtain one for it. I have fitted the front rail system from recoil to this. Average FPS 334 as per test sheet. £250.00 Collection preferred south Lincolnshire, if postage is required buyer to cover costs. The outer barrel of this M16 AEG measures at 19″ with a 500mm inner barrel. The front sight is a fixed ‘A’ frame sight and it uses a standard delta ring. Upper Receiver The upper receiver on the Excalibur Crusader is equipped with the standard 20mm Picatinny rail on the top, and the usual carrying handle already attached. One thing that makes this gun stand out is that although the forward assist is a dummy version it still moves back and forth when pressed. Dust Cover The dust cover on this M16 AEG locks into place and flips down when the charging handle is pulled, this also reveals the hop-up unit. When the mock bolt plate comes back, it locks into place so the user can easily adjust the hop up without having to keep pulling the charging handle back. This can be released again by pressing the bolt stop on the lower receiver. Lower Receiver The lower receiver noticeably bears the ‘Excalibur’ logo laser engraved on the left side of the mag well. The bolt release, as mentioned before, releases the locking bolt plate. The fire selector settings are engraved with the standard ‘Safe’, ‘Semi’ & ‘Auto’ setting with a selector switch which clicks positively into place on each firing mode. The Gearbox The gearbox is very well constructed with components you’d expect from most mid-range AEGs, however, the Excalibur Crusader comes preinstalled with 8mm bearings, a 15 metal tooth piston, enhanced tappet plate and of course the E&C spring change system. The Excalibur Crusader comes with a fixed position, solid stock giving you plenty of battery space in the rear. Although this is the same as the Veteran model, the Crusader is installed with the E&C quick change spring system. Simply unscrew the stock, slide it off and it reveals the removable nut at the back meaning it takes a little longer than 30 seconds, but a lot less than removing the gearbox.£250

I literally charge them the day before a game and leave them in a LiPo bag until the next time I want to use them. I'm the poster boy for total lack of maintenance! I've never had a battery actually fail on me though, but I have binned a few due to having had them for years and them getting a bit puffy (abundance of caution and all that). Wouldn't surprise me at all if airsoft packs are made of B Grade cells though, the market is nowhere near the size of RC.1 point

Rogerborg reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
You shouldn't keep a LiPo fully charged for more than a few days if you want to avoid puffing and capacity degradation in the longer term. (Source: My experience - last I checked, I own around 70 LiPo packs, 1S to 4S, for various forms of RC and Airsoft shenanigans). I only fully charge my packs the day (or even the morning) before I need them. As soon as I get them home, I storage charge them.1 point -

If something in the 2nd hand sales is advertised as £30 delivered yes I would also offer a pound or two under the asking price(called haggling , always try your luck you never know ?) but not be upset if the seller said no they wants to stick at the original price BUT that’s also the price the buyer pays , YOU DO NOT spring paypal charges after the deals agreed , or start bleating as there’s no mention of the charges you should assume there not included and you have to pay them on top ? that’s a dick move end off . Even if it’s just for the simple fact it’s against the T&C’s to do so for starters . As to leaving negative feedback when there hasn’t even been a sale ? FFS get a grip ! Not as if anyones is going to be out of pocket over it ! Can’t argue with that ! Sorry guys but you both are .1 point -
