Instead of imposing a limit on all sites, would it not be easier to impose a limit on Siggi and KM? Everyone agree on 0?4 points

Did this thread just go full circle? For anyone first joining the thread here, no the initial topic wasn’t talked about for 9 pages. What was discussed? Gun laws, stupid people, the phrase ‘checks and balances’ appeared a lot, various hand to hand weapons (some conventional, some less so), charts and graphs... and I’m pretty sure a UKARA question some how snuck in there.4 points

New Product Promo Alert - Heard Yo Like Velcro Dawg
Jedi_Master and 2 others reacted to TheFull9 for a topic
Edit to add - I did clear this post with the admin team ahead of time. Left is before, right is after, centre is the actual product (a prototype anyway, the production TS is a little more vivid). Many years ago I attached a patch to a Crye G3 shirt and didn't like the lack of security with the split velcro, I also didn't like the fact that the AC and G3 lines have never featured pattern matched loop. After a while I started getting custom tactical sewing guys in the US to just sew hook on the back of camo loop in different MC patterns, US Woodland, Desert Night etc to both bridge those gaps and add camo to my Crye shirts and replicas from Roman Kurmaz. Fast forward to 2019 I heard of a company able to print loop almost as easily as using an inkjet at home and in similarly small quantities, whereas getting real camo velcro loop made usually requires spending in the region of tens of thousands on ordering multiple thousand yard rolls. Then if you only have raw loop you've got to find a trustworthy tailor who knows and understands uniforms, wait in their inevitably long queue, pay a reasonable sum for their time and skill and hope the damn post office doesn't lose your rare uniform pieces somewhere along the way; I went through all of the above many times. Yesterday, after a lengthy process, my Camo Plates were finally made available and are now in stock and ready to buy in a range of cool camos, most of which have previously been unavailable in velcro form. They come in 2x4" and 4x4" versions shown above which cover the arm pocket areas on a Crye shirt (or replica), with the 4" also perfectly fitting on a Spiritus half flap. There is also a 4x8" (below) version that entirely covers the front of a Spiritus chassis/replica thereof or similar small chest rig with the same size loop field on the front. Whether you own something like a Crye G3 shirt that has plain loop and you want to add camo, or you simply want to change the camo loop on a given product for a different pattern that you like (works particularly well on Spiritus chassis), these are cheap and take, ooh.. roughly 1 whole second to apply with zero permanent modifications to your kit. Unfortunately, at the moment shipping from Indonesia (where my retailer Vajra Concepts is based) is not very cheap when using UK addresses due to COVID and the cost of the product ratio to the cost of shipping is far from ideal, but that is what we're stuck with at the moment. In the event I can secure retailers in the UK/US I'll certainly endeavour to, though that may be a tricky feat but it's what I'm striving for. For links to purchase and further reading please click here and do ask any questions in the thread, cheers guys. https://thefull9.net/camoplates/3 points -

all in and now back together working a charm commened at same time poretty much no modding was necaserry i did have to reshim and ad an extra shim to the bottom of the sector as it was touching the sensor only issue i have ran into is my mech safety with the new trigger the cut out where it latchs is deeper than the standard m4 one so the safety slips but tbh not to fussed on that one i can live with that lol2 points -
High ROF Problems Ssg Build
Sitting Duck and one other reacted to Skara for a topic
SSG at that RPS on full teeth? Dayum son, that's impressive but expect some fireworks soon inside the gearbox. I'd seriously look at shortening the barrel, it's not just a matter of volume but also the amount of air behind each bb, Luke @negative airsoft did a video using his own physics a while ago in which explains why super high ROF builds need short barrels. Or use a 7.4, 23 RPS is okay and you'll have better performance than 95% of the AEGs on the field while putting less stress on the mechanical parts Still, I would recommend knocking off a couple of teeth from the sector gear, so in case you are dead set on 11.1 memes you don't risk stripping everything.2 points -

😂😂, Yeah I think it's worth it. It's not just a small flash on the end of the RIF, but it actually fills the space around the muzzle, epically if there's any gas or mist in the air.1 point

Pistol Mags and Holster Problem....
DRay reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
i'd probably advocate for a hip/belt mounted hard shell or WAS type holster. although tbh if you're used to/like chest mount then go for it. fabric holsters as have been mentioned have a nasty habit of dropping mags for kicks, the 226 for sure is susceptible because the first time i ever ran a pistol i ended up spending about an hour hunting for my 1 226 mag on the field. drop leg can work, but you want to try and mount it as high as possible, i've heard it described as "you'll be needing to either remove the top strap from the holster or give up on having kids this lifetime", but it will still feel a bit clunkier for running full tilt. my personal preference is left shoulder mounted, but you can't really do that with something as big as a 226. if you have a proper good holster you can get away without a lanyard, but it's up to you if you wanna still risk it. havent ran a lanyard in years and not lost a pistol yet.1 point -

For the pistol, get a serpa (or similar clone), generic cloth holsters have a nasty habit of touching the mag release, proving expensive if no one hands the mag in. Hard shell holsters will never do that thankfully, also if molle mount is what your used to, then stick with it for Airsoft, muscle memory is a good skill & definite leveller in most situations. If you get another pistol, just get another holster, the clones are cheap as chips but actually generally good quality & more than up to the job of fortnightly (?) use.1 point

Aye, this is what many Europeans retailers need to do and I expect HMRC have a lot of work to do to issue such numbers etc. It will take time and we all just have to be patient. Although it’s frustrating when you want your bits now. Even though we won’t be playing for months yet.1 point

Channel name *cough* Leading Shetland *cough* ???? Personally I would wait till your next game day and pester a few other ‘camm’ers and look at them/there’s in person and if they could show the footage would help you too. Just before Novembers lock down I bought a RunCam Scope Cam 4K but haven’t had a chance to use it in game yet as I’ve been in lockdown since the dawn of time, I was worried about buying one with all the mentions of a plastic tightening bracket but mine seems to be metal (what type no idea) so I’m hoping that doesn’t affect me but only time will tell. I’m just in the middle of designing a rain/lens/body cover than encompasses the cam/lens and the maybe the extra battery. ** Addition I have heard that the micro usb slot for charging on the scope cam is a bit suspect so getting a “snap-off” charging lead will help in longevity.1 point

In my short time playing, I’ve only ever played, knowingly anyway, with one serving member of the forces. I happened to be attending a game on my own for once, and he was alone too, so we ended up playing together for the session and I have to say, it was one of the best afternoon plays I’ve had. Fundamentally it was different to how I normally play, and basically pushed me outside my normal “I’m a pussy” comfort zone. I was far more aggressive than normal, egged on by the novelty of his training and little nuances. Taught me a lot; nothing tactical or anything like that, but more about grabbing the bull by the horns and not being such a wet flannel.1 point

@RMDavisLooking at the SL-K on the rifle it actually does work quite nicely... The compact, low profile design does flow well..... I may be warming up to it . Although, I can't understand the move for getting rid of the embedded QD point though. That reminds me, I must replace the trigger guard on mine too with some more aesthetically pleasing1 point

what do you mean by a bit missing from the underside of the barrel? if you mean the lighter profile of the frame that's only holding the recoil spring then it's worth pointing out the hi-power is exactly the same. or if you mean the lack of chunk that is added by the need in more modern designs to have rail systems for flashlights and such?1 point -

I worked with a guy in China who had a Goldeneye crew jacket. Turns out he used to work for Phillips who supplied all the monitors for the control room and his job was to make sure they all got switched on at the start of filming then off again at the end of the day. My family live in Missouri, my baby sister legally bought a .357 magnum, to replace her old gun which was stolen in a burglary, she was 20 & not legally allowed to buy a six pack of beer, that's some twisted logic right there. As for the "checks" they do, it's harder to get a contract mobile phone in the UK than it is to legally buy a firearm in the USA. Any lunatic that doesn't have a criminal record can get one. Madness 😳1 point

Wholeheartedly disagree with you there mate. Having a RIF is great fun, it looks cool and you can shoot your mates with it. You can’t do that with a real firearm. There is a reason why things like Sandy Hook don’t happen in this country, and it’s because any old knobhead can’t run round with a gun they bought at an indoor market with no checks or license or registration process.1 point

This is what I refer to as a sort your fucking life out situation which is literally the only advice that should be offered to these morons. sorry for all the f-bombs but this shit really winds me up. I used to play in Leicester years ago at a place which was known as the Embassy I do believe.. It was absolutely mental. It was a disused factory about 15 mins from Fosse Park. A 3 story layout, The top floor were offices so you were darting in and out of rooms and corridors and up and down stair cases... The Ground floor was a massive open space with multiple entry and exit points and fake walls put up to provide more cover but best of all was the basement.... FCUK me! It was dark, wet, probably full of rats and the odd lightbulb that you see in horror movies moving side to side and squeaking.... When you were down there it was surreal.... You would be on your tip toes trying hard not to make a sound... Jeez looking back it was pure adrenalin fuelled orgasmic action!. I remember once running up the central stairs from the basement to the middle of the ground floor, gun blazing, bb's flying in all directions....and wallop I ran straight into a wooden wall... I went flying... but I didn't drop my Systema... hell no... I wasn't gonna scratch it lol. The top office floor was just as crazy and we did some crazy things trying to clear out the rooms... I am actually smiling as I'm writing this... And best of all was the final game known as the last stand. You'd all bunch up into the centre of the ground floor in a square formation surrounded by crates about 10 of you and then the rest of the people would come at ya... It was insane! Absolutely some of the best airsoft I've ever played. Period. In terms of BDU's people just wore what they wanted. DPM, Coyote brown, jeans, t-shirts, trainers, shorts... it really didn't matter coz there was no place you could really hide... except downstairs in the dark basement where the boogeyman lived..... he was real! Honest! He lived in Leicester in that basement!!!1 point -

Also, in order to look like a top quality CQB player. Here's a ProTip: Have a standalone torch. Weapon mounted lights can put you at a disadvantage for a few reasons. Mostly because it gives the other team something to aim at, thinking there's a human next to it, where's a standalone torch could be held well away from the body, and at an odd angle to keep you safe from hits. Plus you can stack up on the door and hold the torch in the top corner, blinding the other team and covering your team mates who can safely pop out and shoot past the glare.1 point -
After watching the first part of that vid (can't be arsed to go any further), I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing with clickbait, trolling and fake hit markers. He's appealing to young and or/new players and those who have never played. The best thing experienced airsofters can do, is not waste any brain space on him and his antics.1 point

What Bio BBs should I be buying?
Spacemonkey reacted to Ropeyshep for a topic
Just to give a little data to this thread/topic and to see for myself if there is a significant difference in the behaviour of Bios in wet conditions or a difference between the behaviour of Bios versus Non-Bios, I put a small sample of whatever I had in the house into ziploc bags of water following my last post so these are figures based on the sample BBs being completely submerged in tap water for 18 days (it was night time so I'm counting only whole days). Following the submersion, I measured five BBs from each wet sample and five BBs from the original dry source bottle/bag. I don't have a massive selection and most of those are Bio so I don't have a great control group of non-bio BBs to select from. So, the hypothesis tested is that Biodegradable BBs swell out of spec on absorption of moisture. The attached table is a summary of the results and I think the conclusion I first draw is that there is no absorption or swelling of BBs after nearly 3 weeks underwater. The variation within samples appears greater than that between wet and dry in most cases. Also, I am pretty happy with my standard choice of Nuprol RZR 0.28g Bio 😉 There are obvious limitations to the test, primarily in that the sample sizes are small, I can't be fussed expanding the test but I'd be more than happy to applaud anyone who wanted to, I am happy to email the full data table with individual measurements, if anyone is that bored on lockdown. Another possible source of error is the measurement equipment, I used my general garage micrometer to do the measuring, it doesn't have a valid certificate of calibration and it has a stated precision of 0.01mm so the variation seen in most samples falls inside the possible error of the test equipment. Thirdly, this isn't a blind test, I knew what each sample was and so there may be subconscious bias but I doubt it. I really hope this lockdown ends soon, I clearly have too much time on my hands.1 point
