  3. Finally got a proper bipod for my real sword svd. Rgw full steel and based on the improved izhmash (i think?) version. Stiff as hell and a pain to deploy as well as being heavy. I love it! Am hoping it will wear in a bit with use though.

  4. Thought I’d post a quick update, finally picked up a chrono and tested the rif again. This time it was running consistently at 460-470!!! since it was second hand and hadn’t been used for a while I’m assuming it may have needed a good run through get to peak fps (I’m only guessing here). anyway I bit the bullet and followed a tutorial and stripped down to the gearbox (I know this is pretty normal for folks here but I have to confess I’m amazed I managed it). swapped out the spring for an M100 and swore a lot putting it back together. back on the chrono and it’s running a consistent 330-335 on 0.2’s and 300-305 on 0.25’s. I still don’t really know what the issue was but happy it’s running consistently that I don’t need to worry about being told it’s too hot for a site! shameless photo from my game last week for anyone that bothered to read this far! 😁

  5. Thanks folk, I’ve handled a few airsoft weapons and have to admit I quickly got the “toy” mentality slapped right out of me, didn’t realise that you got full RIF airsoft weapons and especially enjoyed the Gas blowback feel also, I don’t have any sights in mind as yet but definitely want to get into it and this forum was the first step and I’m sure I shall make for a formidable target given my haggis hunting uneven legs designed for running on slopes haha

  9. Considering this whole package is still being sold at £220 new (albeit difficult to find), are you sure a price hike of £100 for a second hand gun is appropriate? https://airsoftdirect.uk.com/tokyo-marui-vorpal-bunny-am-45-ver-llenn-gbb-pistol-pink/?add-to-cart=4326

  10. I believe so, I haven't really shot it out on the field for a while so i cant remember lol. As for the fps i really should get a chrono in case i do any modifications down the road or just to check how the gun is doing now after sitting a bit. I thought the accuracy was good from what I can remember. Also yeah, I was kinda thinking like if it works and I dont have any issues, I dont see why I should replace it, especially considering I wouldnt be getting much out of it. And if it was lacking I could just buy upgrades for it. I wouldnt go crazy and replace everything as I hear kwas are good out of the box. If I want an upgraded gun I figure it would probably be cheaper to get something like a mas marauder or specna edge vs replacing every single part. One of the deterrents was that Ive heard some stuff is proprietary and modifications might need to be done for certain things. But it sounds like if youre willing to learn how to use a dremmel basically anything is possible. Also I would assume if given the choice of the cqr vs modern guns most would go for the modern as they get more for just a tad more money. Although I figure, since I got it used the value isnt what it was so maybe its a more bang for my buck thing right now compared to the price it was new and vs more up to date brand new guns considering what id sell it for. I actually do have a spare aeg which is a lancer m4 lol. I know at least trigger response wise the kwa is much much better. (something that is super nice after using my lancer for a while and not being able to nearly as fast as my kwa. however, Ive only used a 11.1v lipo on it and its wired to deans. Vs a lancer that gets semi lock up with a 7.4v and wired to tamiya when im not shooting very fast at all. Side tangent but I recently bought used vfc externals and the lancer I would assume is the only gearbox that would fit in the shell. And now thinking about the lancers semi lock up it might be something ill have to upgrade if I can. (it could possibly be from me not doing a full trigger pull always. But i havent really had the issue on the kwa. and im sure deans connectors would help a tad) Also, thanks for the welcome and thanks for your help! I think you did an awesome job helping me decide to keep it since for the value id sell it at, it might not be worth it and it's a fine gun as it is now with no issues besides the receiver.

    THE TM MWS thread

Loads of advice in this post. It's well worth your time to read as much as you can as most of your questions will have been answered, especially if you're new to the platform. It's never a bad idea to try something as it is, straight out of the box before considering upgrades. One thing I found from reading 200+ pages of this before I received mine, is that the MWS needs very little doing to it, if anything, to be fantastic. You'll find the majority of 'upgrades' people do are external.

How my L119 A2 long dmr build sits at the moment. Performing well, slot booked for machining and trades . Then all the detail work to do. Grip, stock and foregrip are all genuine. Real steel mag catch ready to go on . Fire selector modded for semi only. ELCAN not totaly legit , but works very well and swaps onto the L85.

  17. I've made some 'painting' It's definitely a step up from the crayons I usually have to eat play with, really rather fun! I smudged a bit around the mag well (on the other side), and maybe there's a couple of other areas that need a bit of re-toning and some texture from the scrim added in, but as my first attempt it was a good learning experience. All done with Halfords paint (black/khaki/green/brown) as it was easy to grab them on my travels. Still want a muted red and a near-white to add some extra highlights.

    TM AM.45 Vorpal Bunny

    This advert is COMPLETED!

    • For sale
    • As new

I'm sure most of you know what these are as they are quite a memorable pistol, these where released by Tokyo Marui at the start of last year as a limited edition pistol. These pistols are based for the ones used by the main character Len in the SAO alternative Gun Gale Online Manga. The pistol its self is a Detonix 45. so can take any TM spec 1911 magazines, I even use the 40rd extended mags in the pistols I use. As for this pistol it has been out of the box once and had a magazine fired through it a couple of targets so is still basically new, as you can see from the photos this comes with its original box in a undamaged condition. If you would like I also have 3 extra mags that I don't use that much which you could have for £20 each. The reason for me selling this one is due to me needing the money for other hobbies. looking to get £320 for it however I am open to sensible offers.

  20. While its shit. You kind of need to see it from the shop overs point of view. Every person who calls them with a broken gun, will tell him its only just fired a few rounds and barely seen day light. You can break a perfectly good AEG very quickly with bad ammo, over power battery, spamming the trigger faster than the gun can function, getting a jam and keeping firing, doing some "maintenance on it" etc etc So if i was a retailer I would just assume everyone is a dick and write my policy to match I always assume my AEG is going to break and carry a backup. Because.. I am sometimes right The good news is now you can get it correctly shimmed, take out the ton of grease it doesn't need, maybe short stroke the box, add a stronger spring. Very cheap mods making a huge difference. While its apart replace the hob rubber and nub with a mapleleaf. When life gives you lemons

The big caveat is that GBBRs can be very frustrating with limited ammo compared to the hi-cap magazine army. Especially the ones who take several hits to admit defeat. Milsim games generally have more GBBR players I believe

If you're after a real steal tactical light land warrior stock streamlight and their new rifle light is meant to be excellent value. https://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/aiming-devices-mounts-and-bipods-c7/flashlights-c79/streamlight-protac-rail-mount-2-625-lumen-p12246 I don't work for land warrior. 32. I got mine, but it took raising a Paypal claim to do it. Belt quality looks decent, but would not recommend the company.

  33. This can be a bit tight, but is doable without tools (at least on mine, and the stock tube groove sounds the same). For me, activate rear of lever until it's flat against the stock. Then, get fingers underneath front of lever (so, in front of the pin) and pull down. This will pull the pin further down and should give enough clearance (but can require a bit of pull strength in the fingers). No need to use tools or knock out pins, etc.

  34. Some more glamour shots: Pretty much 100% complete on the outside now unless anyone has any suggestions.
    1 point
  35. @RostokMcSpoons are you pushing the operating lever up to retract the pin or pulling it down? The pin drops a lot lower if you pull it downwards.
    1 point
  36. i had a similar issue with a magpul stock. the standard distance for the pin wasn't enough to clear the back of the stock tube rail, so had to use a pait of pliers/additional leverage (read: "persuasion") to get enough to go on. i ended up shaving down a nub on the back of the lever, giving it enough clearance to slide all the way off. meant it would come off if you weren't careful adjusting it, but not being a big fan of adjustable stocks i had a mark set for the position and only needed to remove it for battery installation.

  38. With the exception of the cracked body, which you've already found potential (& cheap replacements), does it do what it's supposed to ?, what's the fps & accuracy like, if both are good I'd be inclined to say replace the body & keep using it, as frankly what your estimating its selling price to be is next to nothing for a competent aeg. That's not to say don't get another one, on the contrary, fill your boots, always good to have a spare aeg, recommend you get something that uses your existing mags, doesn't necessarily need to be another armalite platform, loads of non armalites out there that take the same mags, & even a few that in standard form don't, but with the addition of a mag we'll adaptor, hey presto they do 😁 PS welcome to the forum 🤟

    Motor over heating

Reddit answer: you need to reshim your gearbox or your gun will explode and you'll be left with hooks for hands. Actual answer: INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANALYSIS. How hot are we talking? Cosy covfefe mug, radiator scald, or gom jabbar test? What battery are you using? How many rounds are we talking about over how long a period of time?

Are these guns a stupid idea

The army armament R85 isn’t very good. It doesn’t always fire on semi and the EBB broke within 10 shots on mine. As well as this, the motor came out of alignment within 6 hours and it is terrible to put back together.

    Import RIF

This is a question that has been asked a few times but then they don’t come back to tell us what happened An orange tip is no good, that’s the American system for ‘toy’ (Back in the 70s here it used to be for toys that could not shoot anything, and only had a dummy barrel) In the UK to prevent it being a RIF it would have to be painted one of a set list of bright colours, covering more than 50% of the body The law here covering whether or not you can import (or buy) a RIF is the VCRA To do so you require a ‘defence’ which is the intended purpose - the applicable purpose is ‘airsoft skirmishing on insured sites’ or in other words ‘playing airsoft’ The UKARA is a retailers trade scheme that counts players attendance at member sites then grants UKARA membership for a year. This is not a legal requirement, but is the best known scheme to ‘prove’ you are an airsoft skirmisher You therefore need to convince customs when it comes through, whether that is by courier or packed in your luggage Options are: Try to convince them that you are an airsoft skirmisher Paint it, and you can then later clean off the paint as long as you aren’t damaging any current finish Package your RIFs and leave them behind, come here, play some games, get UKARA membership, then get someone to post them with the relevant info

The length of the standard over shoot most people's chin which is annoying when you look down and it hits your chest pushing the mask up into the goggles. https://www.instagram.com/p/CXvl-E9Ir7N/?utm_medium=copy_link I also find the China masks are not a not a great shape but you can improve on it I start by flattering it then reshape. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CQgvp7gqIlt/?utm_medium=copy_link
