Gents, I think this is a new one… I can’t find any references in the pages yet. I have a MWS Carbine and frankly I like it that way, old man, old school, happy days. However the quality of the Carbine hand guard and stock is crap! Creaky nasty wobbly nonsense. I assume because the Carbine is a cheap way to get In the platform and those parts are almost placeholders for the proper bits once modified. what I would appreciate help to understand is; can anyone tell me where to get high quality bits that are a drop in fit but basically look the same? Is that a thing or am I misunderstanding something? or are Carbine hand guards and AR15 stocks just a bit nasty and creaky even on real steel? Thanks in advance

Thanks very much for all the information, I should be able to sort this out. Ref Deans, I do understand it’s commonly accepted this is the correct way to go, but between my gun and my two lads, and the two batteries per guns (and spares)…. I know it isn’t the end of the world but more of a ‘round-to-it’ job. When I bought my first gun, charger and Lipo I didn’t care what I had, it was only a couple of years ago and would have done anything I was told. Why the guys didn’t push me towards deans I don’t know? In fact… the same question could be asked about why they still make RIFs with mini Tamiya when there is a better way. Now I’m down that path and need to make the effort to put it right. Amazing support though men thanks! This is a great Forum.

Sorry for Spamming you gents, I know it’s on here somewhere but I cannot find it. So I have my Sky RC T100 and I’ve been struggling, I’ve read on other threads that you can’t just connect the battery because Airsoft battery’s are reversed to RC Batteries and there is some sort of Biro mod where you poke a connection out and swap it. the links in the previous threads are dead. I’ve broken a few things trying to self resolve. please help, I’ve had this charger on my desk for a couple of weeks now collecting dust. where am I sticking this biro?

Hi, nice work! Thanks for the offer of support but no I don’t have anything that technical, I feel this thread has gone into deep waters that I can’t survive in! im definitely more of a casual enthusiast. If there was a guy happily knocking them out and making a few quid for his trouble then I’d buy some so I had the option one day. I don’t have the kit to do it myself and I don’t need or want anyone going to any trouble. Thanks for getting in touch with the offer though!

I definitely understand why you’d consider mine more of an impression than a build lol. Do you have a link or a point of contact for the 3D printed bits for the upper or are you doing it yourself?

That’s mega Nick, love it! - “Pukka” Do you find the mag release catch sometimes releases the mag on your kit when carrying the rifle? I’ve heard that’s a complaint which is why I didn’t do that mod. to be honest with you I was extremely tempted to switch fire completely to a GBBR partly due to the added realism and extra weight of the mags (perverted maybe but I wanted it) and also the opportunity to fit any stock and grip and not need to worry about motors or batteries. I actually bought a TM MK 18 GBBR and I was going to do it, but then I read the thread on here about the drama of getting the barrel but off and I bottled it, cancelled the order and decided to not worry about the limitations and go for it with the NGRS and get it as close as practical while keeping it a great plastic slinger. But I do have in the back of my mind to save up, buy a TM CQBR GBB and make an A1 so I have both. im also considering offering my set up for swaps at some point, (maybe) it’s possible someone who went TM GBB might wish they went NGRS for the weight and ammo factors and do me a straight swap. And if they don’t then I’ll keep saving. I can only shoot one at a time unfortunately Was the upper a lot of work? Did you modify using those little bits of 3D printed plastic that guy from L119 lovers makes? I was tempted to ask him but the idea of repainting the whole upper made me question it. seeing yours just reminds me how far off mine is! Lol

Yeah agreed Nick, honestly mate I’ve not got the money or the stamina to get it correct at the moment. Stock I decided on because I want the 3000 Amp Titan battery. It’s not a wall hanger it’s my only weapon and it’s primary use is flinging BBs I did look for a Magpul solution with reasonable cost but I didn’t find one that met all my requirements. Pistol grip is an experiment. It’s close enough to be good and I’m hoping I’ll get less forearm pain… let’s see. it’s definitely not a replica, then again the blokes that use them mod everything so much i doubt there really is a correct way

No no, it’s definitely that! Just an M4 variant. But to be fair to the guys who get precious it’s not one you can just buy off the shelf so it’s always a risk when you start feking about with your £500 toy hoping it’ll be ok, will the motor be ok in that grip, will the rail be a different shade to the upper etc etc. I'm a huge fan of all M4 platforms. Not been into Airsoft long enough to want to get into AKs yet I am chuffed how it’s come out, and mine isn’t as high skill level as these ones on the specialist sites so it might be helpful for a bit of Dutch courage for someone thinking about it (I’ve had the rail a couple of months now umming and ahhhing about what ifs)

(Which is fair enough) It’s was a TM Sopmod, I made it into a CQBR and now (my impression) of an L119A2 Angry Gun rail and flash hider PTS grip MK18 TM Stock RS Magpul Angle grip Angry gun charging handle catch E6 M110 spring Prom Piston Prom Piston head E6 recoil spring Prom 6.03 inner Prom Purple Rubber Prom Flat nub Action Army high torque Motor ACOG upgraded with Gucci bits from a very helpful member on AF U.K. 🇬🇧 I don’t have the CC lower, I honestly just can’t face getting the gearbox out again, I had to do it about 3 times because I had to learn as I went. when something explodes and I need to replace the gears or whatever then I’ll burn some more cash doing that last bit, but for now just want to enjoy using it. I get zero single shot lockup, this was either the new motor or Titan battery, did both at once after lots of single shot lockup, so it was one of those or a combination. I did not need the MOSFET. Not looking for anything other than just showing off because I’m very very happy and can’t wait to use it. yes, it is a lot of mags. No I cannot ever use them all
