  1. There's no way MTP is ever better than DPM, literally dozens of unqualified airsofters who spend their entire lives at one site and irrationally hate anything popular because it's cool to be different have told me so. If you want uniforms just get surplus issue stuff, commercial offerings (BTP, MTC etc etc) barely get within sniffing distance in terms of the quality for the price point. Windproof and waterproof are 2 entirely different proposals, most issue uniform is fairly windproof the smock in particular but it's still extremely breathable. Anything that's actually close to waterproof cooks you alive soon as you do much exertion and do NOT fall for the bullshit descriptions at airsoft retailers that describe any softshell jacket as waterproof; utter shite. Wear a t-shirt and a standard PCS smock, put a fleece or whatever under it if you're not moving much in the cold and have a goretex jacket somewhere to hand if you expect it to really hammer down - that'll cover 95% of UK weather.

  3. Why, are you playing for your enjoyment or for the approval of others? As posted above, concentrating on practical kit rather posing bullshit will give you a better experience in game

    Two tone guns

Gold and black would be ‘two tone’ in the sense that they are two colours. Legally though there is no such thing as a requirement for ‘two tone’ the law requires the IF to be clear or over 50% one of the designated bright colours: Sizes and colours which are to be regarded as unrealistic for a real firearm 6.—(1) For the purposes of section 38(3)(b) of the 2006 Act and paragraph 6(3)(b) of Schedule 2 to that Act, the size of an imitation firearm is to be regarded as unrealistic for a real firearm only if the imitation firearm has dimensions that are less than the dimensions specified in paragraph (2). (2) The dimensions specified in this paragraph are a height of 38 millimetres and a length of 70 millimetres. 7.—(1) For the purposes of section 38(3)(b) of the 2006 Act and paragraph 6(3)(b) of Schedule 2 to that Act, a colour is to be regarded as unrealistic for a real firearm only if it is a colour specified in paragraph (2) or if the imitation firearm is made of transparent material. (2) The colours specified in this paragraph are— (a)bright red; (b)bright orange; (c)bright yellow; (d)bright green; (e)bright pink; (f)bright purple; and (g)bright blue.

  9. I'm not concentrating on it I just want my kit to look good same way you'd want a car that looks nice, a rifle that looks nice, a piece of furniture. I'm there to have fun not act out a theoretical WW3 where my gear has to be realistic whilst being as efficient as possible. As I said I am looking for practicality alongside also looking good which I believe is entirely possible if I pick my gear correctly. Most people I encountered in airsoft all had very neat good solid looking kit that was also practical and that's what I want. I get that you might feel different and you might want practical kit over looks but I don't feel the same way.

  10. Ditch the helmet, unless there tons of vents otherwise the humidity your sweed lets out will just track back into your goggles! I know as today I tested no less than 3 top of the range goggles and they all fogged! I wore a fast helmet (zero vents) chin to ear mesh and then whatever gigs. I won’t use ballistic glasses as none seem to cover your eye entirely and all it takes is one random bb…. Disappointed, I reached into my bag and found a gym hat with mesh all over it, as soon as I stuck this on not only did I find actually bbs hardy hard but fogging dramatically decreased!

  11. Hi and welcome to the airsoft asylum 🤪 I'm sure you will all have a blast at the courts in Bristol. Have you all got the essentials? Good quality eyepro and boots with ankle support and gloves( for the cold and protection from bb hits)cause it hurts like a mofo when pinkies get hit lol. Is it a cqb site? Cause full face pro is recommended. Any way enjoy yourselves and listen up in the briefing and above all call your hits!👍 You have plenty of time to check out @GAMBLEon this forum. He has a tube channel which you could benefit from taking a look at. Hints and tips and gear advice in abundance Regards

  13. Hey all, my name is Michael and I am new Airsoft player in the Bristol area. To be completely honest, I haven’t even played a game yet but have been wanting to start for years. I always wanted to play with people I know and I have now finally found some friends who want to start also. We have our first game booked for Sunday 19th December at the Courts Bristol (it’s the only time we have available due to work). We are renting the gear the first time we play to make sure it’s for us but then we are purchasing our own gear. I have plans to invest in a Bulldog M4PI RIS two tone from JustBBguns, when I have my UKARA I will buy the conversion kit to a RIF. If there is any players who attend the Courts Bristol hopefully we cross paths and play together at some point. Michael Notorious Loki

  14. I don't even know where to start with this one. https://www.mayerantiques.com/product/danish-military-surplus-hensoldt-wetzlar-z24-x4-scope-with-g3-claw-mount/?v=79cba1185463 Hensoldt z24 scope with a TM mount.... €1100. The TM mount looks to be laser etched with HTK marks, but it's still a £40 mount. It's the poor mans version as well with the moulded rail upper rather than the Stanag upper. The scope looks to be a reasonable Z24 with either an original HTK mark or what I suspect is another laser etch. £500ish if it has the correct carry case and a correct claw mount. And was optically good... This one apparently needs a strip and clean. I'm a bit baffled by it all as the HTK marks both show the same number Nr.0356 on the sight and what is obviously the wrong mount. All I can assume is it's a fake mark. To put that into perspective I got a Hensoldt model 1 with the correct HK claw mount, Case, and an A.R.M.S #7 for £250 a couple of years ago.

  21. As you say above, you can get lots of likes but putting together a smart loadout and still be comfortable and not hate your life as soon you stop standing in the safe zone and step on to the actual field, 100% doable. I just wouldn't recommend any emulating of guys who are doing full on balls-out cosplay for photoshoots if you do actually want something that's good looking but is also genuinely practical. I also do disagree with your sentiment that practicality and efficiency are mutually exclusive to be honest. The main thing I'd say is, if you put on a PC and helmet then a ghillie jacket with hood, you'll have covered up 80% of the PC and helmet anyway and you'll sweat your tittays off, not to mention being slow, uncomfortable and getting snagged by both foliage and structures - ergo you won't actually look cool. Oh and the helmet will potentially snag inside the ghillie hood too and restrict your head. Personally I own one of these but I'd only wear it with a chest rig, if I go for PC and helmet it'll probably be for indoors and hence no fake trees on me. Just some experience I've gained having spent a fuck ton of money on gear over the past 15 years, as I always say how you wanna spend your cash is up to you.

  23. I've been running one of those helikon mesh caps, bolle x800s with a mesh mask cable tied to the goggles. Sadly I've been running a buff to cover my neck which i also stretch to cover ears so this will not help with cooling so I'm going to ditch it next game or just have it around my neck. Some days they fog up when Im static after a big fast paced game but I have just ordered some revision wipes so I'm hoping that they reduce this issue. If this set up continues to fod il look into fan goggles but heroshark are a no go as I don't fancy shattered bb's in my only pair of eyes.

  25. Just stick some brown ferns in your kit. 95 still works well in winter if you add browns. MTP is too light in woodland much of the year, its only in opened up areas where grey is introduced that it has any ability at all

  26. Agreed, I don't see much reason to pay C25 prices. They're both polymer, I'm unclear if the C25 is significantly better. The only actual feature difference is the X-ASR mosfet, but that does nothing except trigger contact protection, and mine balks at aftermarket motors. Both are fine for length, anything more than that is just willy-waggling for airsoft use. And don't worry about the quoted FPS figures, those will be using Specna's stock M90 spring. Fine for CQB, just about enough for woodland. Drop in an M100 through the quick-change system and you're good to go. The G&G, hmm. It's a lot more than I'd want to pay for one, given how feature-poor it is. The sight may be functional, or a gimmick. That said, G&Gs do tend to shoot very nicely, and that's what actually matters, not the feature list. You probably won't regret it.

I do like the idea of flash mags only down side I find is if your behind cover and priming your mag from a distance it does look if your ‘lobbing off’ an invisible friend ! 😳

G&G drum mags are pretty solid. I have the electric version and 3 of the guys on my team run the manual verison. Good construction and no feeding issues at all. When it's time to fight light, I dump the plate carrier & bit and run the drum mag.

  34. I know a chap who started playing with strobe and then sacked it off as its not much use in a practical sense. A weapon light with a momentary switch is what he uses now. I have always used a light with a momentary switch which can be used to push positions and corners but goes dark instantly.

  41. I'm pretty sure I've seen this originally posted on Instagram and this is very, very much an Instagram loadout. This is in fact the pinnacle of tacticool IG cosplay. Could you play a skirmish in it? Yeah of course, the reality will just be quite shitty in use compared to a well done loadout. First off, day NODs (probably dummies). An extraneous amount of bullshit strapped around legs that will make running 5x harder than needed, not to even mention the fact the holster's round their knee. Pretty sure the left leg bag is something from WW2. Half ghillie that clashes hugely with the zero effort put in to camouflaging the rest of the stuff he's got on. Gun setup is pure butt-produce and all based around social media posing not any sort of real life experience. PC with ghillie doesn't make a lot of sense. Overall attempts to mix the cool stuff from both real-world recce and CQB gear and will be ineffective at both. If any given person is more in to the dress up than anything else that's 100% fine but they should never be under any illusion that it'll be practical in the woods. This kit looks like it's from a video game and the tac gear in video games is almost always horribly done in every respect other than looking super cool to 15 year olds who don't know anything about real gear.

I used the jag arms hpa tap for my serbu shotgun. The only issue was that the grip hole has to be widened as the tap is bigger in diameter than the original valve.

  48. As you correctly surmise there are two problems most of us face. One is actual fogging caused by temperature differences between your face and the ambient air, the other is caused by sweat (although the two do go somewhat hand in hand) In terms of what you have there the issue is that while the design of the goggles is such that it has an enormous vent all the way around, you have blocked that airflow with the helmet at the top and the mask at the bottom. It's not just you, it's the way of the world! You may find a better helmet has better airflow - depending on the liner design and whether or not the shell has vents. Personally I am a fan of the FMA Team Wendy LTP Bump style.

  50. Didn't order a RIF but bought parts and other related stuff for £180ish from Gunfire 30/1021 and used GLS instead of UPS. Yesterday Parcel Force let me know i owe £40 and will be delivered on 15/11/21. Apart from the charges it looks like delivery back to normal fingers crossed. I got a project on the go and might buy a cheap sniper and see how it goes with Border Farce. Shame about TG as i want the Fostec shotty which is released soon.
