  1. Meh. Cannabis is nothing, it's CAKE you should be worried about. Others to be aware of are clarky caps and spunky backpack

  2. Plenty of sites I have been to have mentioned its not ok and people will be removed. A few years back a whole team were kicked out of Battle lakes when Zed were running it because of of their guys had a joint in the carpark between games. In fairness it was mentioned in the brief so tough shit really. Most people are idiots anyway, drink and drugs heighten that so I would prefer it not on site.

  4. I've never been to an Airsoft site which sells alcohol. Please would you name a few examples? (seeing as you used plurality to imply it's the norm) In regards to smoking weed prior to/while playing, let's just say a large portion of players don't need any help being slower or dopier.

  5. What a day yesterday! DMR in the morning and then remembered why I loved sniping in the afternoon. None of this bush wookie bollocks, fast moving and agile. Really appreciate my SRS again.

  7. A very similar topic was brought up about a month ago about “smoking drugs on paintball sites with children around” Its illegal (though there was a poster who kept coming back about it being possible to have it on prescription, and that they had prescription weed as opposed to THC,CBD) So let’s say that abuse of substances is illegal, and that whether legal or not that mind altering substances do not have a place in playing these types of games

  9. Same as Jacob. It is sometimes mentioned. TBH, I think that your question needs a little more qualification. Plenty of older airsofters have to use opioids to play with enjoyment. The odd illicit hipflask does the rounds (or did pre-covid) at milsims, at least the winter games. No one bats an eyelid. I wont get too excited over someone smoking a joint at lunchtime any more than someone having a bottle of beer, but an insurance company would. I suppose that I am 17th century enough to believe in the sanctity of self regarding actions. Excessive toking has the potential to be non-self regarding for certain, but then so does excessive pain killer and cough medicine use.

  11. NAE is good example of alcohol being for sale during active sessions of Airsoft, though by the time you've found someone to shoot at you've walked the alcohol off.

  12. As above. They rebrand the cheapest products they can source. Gas is about the only thing worth buying from them. Batteries may be OK but definitely stay away from their chargers. (Decent batteries include: Vapex, KongPower, Turnigy) Look at SkyRC for decent Li-Po chargers. Nuprol recently made a deal with WE to distribute in Europe/UK so some guns may OK but better to buy WE branded ones directly.

  13. Nuprol don't make anything they just rebrand other manufacturers. You generally have no guarantee of build quality or it it's even fit for purpose when buying Nuprol.

  14. Nasty stuff cake. They tempt you in with the sugary goodness, then you’re face to face with a Prague Tran Decisions decisions. Do I fix the Prague tram/Tran? Or are the prospects of ending up with a Prague Tran going to be better in discouraging the youth of today of experimenting with cake?

  19. @RostokMcSpoons I run my M904E with 11.1v LiPo, no problems at all, but only get to use auto at one site I go to but it's very fast and lays a hail of plastic. If you're only ever going to be on semi maybe 7.4v would be better, as if I spam the trigger on semi with an 11.1v you can feel the motor steadily getting hotter in the grip. Be aware though that Falcon MOSFET doesn't have all the bells and whistles like pre-cocking and braking, but I like three round burst rather than full auto so I'm not burning through BB's (lots of trigger pulls though on burst is pretty much the same as full auto anyhow).

  25. Hahaha oh so true , a mate actually pulled off the road in to a layby when the alert came through on his phone . He ordered 5 then contacted a friend who wanted them as well , who then text’ed back not even 10mins later to say he missed them as they’d sold out already ! So definitely ‘you snooze you loose’ when it comes to recoil MP5 mags ! 😳

  30. True but you'd still have the shank stuck in there. If you're lucky the cam behind the selector will be metal and you can get it out. If it's plastic then it's going in the bin with the screw shank! Either way, life's too short to try getting M3 screws out of fire selectors with a screw extractor!

    Drug use at airsoft sites

Having said all I just said I'd imagine if I owned/operated a site this'd be my across the board policy too just because of liability, all I said before was mearly from a personal perspective. From a business perspective especially while it remains legal a firm no to everything including drink would be my answer on site.

  32. Call me somewhat old fashioned, but I think we've all been at their mercy since the 15th century at least. Airsoft would be in far better shape if The Peasants' Revolt had succeeded.

    Drug use at airsoft sites

I'd tend to agree, the options in top post are written as such to make one answer callous and the other correct a assume because of OPs personal biases toward the subject. Really as long as you can maintain safety, show respect for others and continue to follow the rules I'm honestly happy for you to do most anything that doesn't harm others ("I don't like the smell" doesn't count as harm imo) and respects site rules in order to have fun on your days/afternoons off then go bananas. Frankly speaking when it comes to the recreational user I know more than a few "mates" who could use a half a joint to calm them down a bit to bring less aggression/unhappiness from their weeks to almost everything in their hobby life, airsoft included. Sites sell those bastards beers throughout the days which absolutely has the potential to make things far worse than weed ever could. My prescription is only for Insomnia so I'd not really need to smoke up at a site ever but this countries draconian dogma toward something that is proven to be helping a huge gamut of conditions is a little nauseating/offensive😑.

  37. I thank you all for your input to my buying decision, you've been kind and patient with an old man trying to save the pennies and ounces 😋 I have now gone 'sod it' and bought a Viper tactical harness from my local online Airsoft shop's boneyard, it's black rather than the dark green I'd have liked, but for a tenner for a Molle belt I'm not going to be picky. I've also grabbed a super cheap universal belt holster to temporarily continue carrying my sickly HFC M92 (if I don't jump in for the TM Hi capa) for a game or two, which will let me test out the balance. Next I'll buy some Opsrey SA80 mag pouches as they're cheap as chips... And a utility pouch. Should be sorted, at least to the point that I'll know if this works for me! Edit: Purchased a couple of elastic strapped Osprey mag pouches, and one of those plastic shell m4 mag holders for my primary speedy access. My total outlay is now.... £31 For which I've got a Molle belt with v harness, fabric holster, 2 mag pouches and one mag holder. You might see it all on eBay in a couple of weeks 😋😁🥴

  38. Totally agree , I find the kind of player that has ‘realistic’ plates in their carriers also generally wear the noise cancelling headphones so not only do they not feel the hit they can’t hear it either ! happened at Vendetta last wk , put a couple in to a player center mass he carried on when I pulled him for it he did appear genuine about not knowing , even came and apologised in the safezone . Another possible negative to being all tacticool ?

  39. I've been after an original for a while and am in the same boat as I want one for my SVD patrolbase do some replicas that look right although don't adjust or anything. Vector optics apparently do a good one although they are sold out @Adolf Hamster is selling a Real sword PSO scope atm so may be worth giving him a shout I've also found them on kula tactical and am debating pulling the trigger and getting one from the motherland 😂 As I have the cyma VSS the dust cover is too high to use the PSO I already have and I've been toying with the idea of getting a Picatinny version so use on a rail mount

  43. See this:- Couple of points if I may. -Metals not all its cracked up to be. Yes it's more durable, more like the real thing etc but it's also heavier. Plastic guns are easier to wield through the day (especially for newbies). -Look for bundle deals where batts, chargers, mags etc included. Makes things easier and better value. -From personal experience, I bought a Lancer Tactical M933 as my first AEG. £100 and everything included - decent battery, decent charger, hi cap mag, cleaning rod. Many of the CYMAs also come with all the bits n bobs included and are generally excellent value.

  46. What makes me angry is that as airsofters we generally do our best to keep our rifs safe & away from reach under lock & key, because of the implications of them getting in to the wrong hands, yet these twats took the decision to move them in a soft sided vehicle, probably left parked overnight FFS. Thats seriously irresponsible 👿

  48. Unfortunately Valentine is right, recently a friend had some very rare gear scammed of him , went to the police with email print outs , screen grabs , the guys real name , address , phone number the lot , there response ? F**k all was there response ! BUT when he said fine I’ll go and sort it my self , which we did luckily with no drama (the guy absolutely shit him self when we very politely AND non aggressively introduced our selves on his door step) they turned around and basically threatened him with arrest if anything went wrong ! Now I know the police are absolutely swamped but there attitude to this was quite frankly unf**king believable , and they wonder why so many in the public are turning against them ?
