  1. Literally named the site in my last post. F&O “The Jungle”

  2. Lol, bear with them, they're old & easily confused 😜

  3. Well, these look interesting. They've been on the cards a while, but looks like they're finally coming out. Both the A2 (solid stock) and A3 (sliding stock) will be out and I think they're doing a standard and an EBB version. I've always had a soft spot for the HK53, so hopefully these will be as well built as their G3/HK33, but without quite as much weight up front. No idea on prices, but my guess would be £400 to £500 depending on version. No word on the MP5 yet, sadly, but they might have missed the bidding on that anyway now that Marui's recoil version is due out.

  4. A mate needed a thumb-saver reloading thingy for his Hi-Capa mags. 10 minutes in Fusion 360, and 40 minutes on the printer later, it worked out pretty good.

  5. No issues naming and shaming as I shall not be going back, this was one of many reasons. F&O “The Jungle”. Crap facilities, belittling and the the staff seem to think they’re doing you a favour by running game days, as they’re into “Milsim only”. Avoid it.

  6. That's why I chose to rehome an unwanted shipping container - it now lives a happy life up the end of my garden. Remember, shipping containers are for life, not just for Christmas (gifts).

    Two of my guns

New to Airsoft Forum UK and wanted to share two of my favourite guns. My Tokyo Marui MK18 Mod.1 and my KWA/KSC MP9 A1 Really happy with these builds! Debating a paint job on the MK18 🤔

  8. I used to export to Asia and North Africa. The hurdles grew ever higher. Anyhow... talking to old mates in shipping, you are not far wrong. The hang up of refrigerated shipping in south America doesn't help either. A hell of a lot of shipping is stationary and someone has to pay.

  10. When the most recent RE TM Desert Eagle was released a few years back (2018?), people were tripping over themselves to pay £450+ for it. Then proudly declaring "I'm not even going to break the cellophane, that way it's an investment" Have you ever seen one of those full steel kit $2000+ Airsoft guns you can find often out of stock on Asian Airsoft sites, so I guess somebody must be paying that for them. I remember shaking my head at the Robin Hood Tactical Desert Eagle kit which was just a metal (I would assume steel), body kit for a TM DE and sold out fast at £850.

  11. Too cryptic, chap. If you're not going back (prediction: you will), then just name the site (prediction: you won't).

  12. Taking that part of the mag apart is easy, just remover the two hex head screws from the base plate and that’s it. Be careful though there is a small plastic piece at the base plate end of the feed spring that likes to shoot it’s self into orbit if you are not careful. while you have it apart check the bb follower for imperfections. I have had one mag with this problem and it had a small amount of extra plastic on the bb follower I had to carefully polish off. Be aware putting the feed spring back in is a PITA. The aforementioned small plastic ‘plug’ seems desperate to ping across the room and get lost behind the sofa of embed it’s self in your eyeball. I found a bbq skewer helpful to feed the spring on to before trying to jam it back in the bb channel. Have fun!!!!!

  17. Training. Take the time to ensure that all your marshals, even your mates or the ones doing it for freebies, have a clear understanding of what they're supposed to be doing, and why, both on technical issues like chronoing, and on resolving issues in game. It wouldn't take long, and even less so if you write it down. This starts with site owners, and sadly far too many of them seem to have a muddle through attitude, or that everybody knows what they're doing - or more specifically, that everybody has the same assumptions and beliefs that they picked up fifteen years ago, which isn't necessarily the same thing. Given the thankless job of trying to run a site, I'm certainly not judging, but it is so nice when you come across one that documents everything, rather than running it via Facebook or word of mouth on a "Just ask m8 lol" basis.

  18. And long term, it's a balance of trade issue. China sends us shiploads of cheap tat, and in return, we send them... not much, really, and very few bulk goods. That's one reason why prices have jumped, it's covering the costs of sending empty ships and empty containers back to Chinaland.

    AEP help needed

If you have a look at 5:00 in the video above, he highlights that there should be a small spring pressing down on the trigger bar. If it's weakened or missing, I'd replace it. I don't recall the size offhand, but a piece of spring from inside a pen might do the job.

    The AAP-01 Owners Thread.

It has been ordered! 😄 Grabbed it from skirmshop.nl as it's sold out everywhere in the UK, I'll take a hit on the customs fees this time. AW drum should be here next week and got the HPA tap valve waiting for it. Hammer bearing on the way from WGCshop for when the hammer kills itself as well. All the Waldo gear dropped in along with the TTI trigger and selector as they showed up yesterday, feels nice. Can't wait to have a pop with it next game!

6mm Umarex SAA Will come with standard wood effect grips not the John Wayne ones as waiting for the standard grips to arrive. 16" barrel. Metal construction. The ejector works and is taken from a Tanaka Fixed hop Power down shells and hammer striker filed down a touch. Reproduction 1860 Army stock, removes and refits with one screw. Hooks into the recess where the C02 screw goes. One of a kind and a left field alternative to a KTW Winchester. Selling as at the western games all I tend to end up using is one revolver no matter how much stuff I bring, and I enjoyed making this. Collection preferred. It's expensive but it's a one off. Happy to defend the price on Mack's 😄

  24. Its not just Brexit related as most of the products were coming from outside the EU anyway, its mainly COVID. I spoke to the owner of 1 well known retailer who said that the costs of shipping have sky rocketed. A container which would have cost $3000 now costs $14000. Similarly, air freight prices have gone up. Add into that companies like Nuprol snaffling the distribution rights to lots of brands and then choking the supply on purpose and you have the shit show we have now.

  26. I do this sometimes but nothing to do with the Missus. I'm fortunate enough to have the disposable income to buy toys and still have plenty left over to pay for more important things. I just don't particularly enjoy having guns which won't be in my top three to skirmish. So I will list something and if it doesn't sell for what I would be happy with, so be it. I've never been desperate to move something on. More like just so I can justify (to myself) buying something new. Actually typing that in full has brought me to a moment of great realisation....why am I trapped in this loop!? I already have plenty of guns and need to stop looking out of boredom, chasing the thrill of a delivery...thanks you've been a massive help! Oh you mean the type of Airsoft gun that's "bought as an investment" because in five years it'll be worth thousands 😬

  27. Oh feck me, yeah that is all about the craft then isnt it. But then i dont 'get' the sniping game yet. With these limits why would you use anything other than an auto... I agree with previous posts re uk limits, they arent going up. As to long game days....thoughts are divided, i would prefer the information to given out in the morning at or before safety brief. Being told 20mins before mag up and in to game zone that 'we'll be out til lunch/ we are out for the first two games' makes a huge difference to what i carry.

  28. From what I understand its a 'Perfect Storm' or 'Double Whamy' Covid has affected production in the East (and still is) PLUS The Brexit shit show has essentially cut us off from stock in Europe. So we'll have to wait for the UK suppliers to get their orders direct from Asia once production catches up with demand. Don't expect any bargain prices except on old stock stuff.

  29. LoL... Bloke turns up 2hrs+ late for the game, complains no one is around to sign him in, throws a strop saying shit organising of the event..then promptly leaves. hahaha did I miss something.....maybe don't turn up late for game day! (I was in safe zone putting masking tape on my M16 stock..yep screw stripped and fell out..masking taped up the stock and solid now..lol)

  30. You looking to get friendly fired again? My evo came and was broken on arrival. Shitty gears being used. They atleast offer a warranty repair for a year but likely need to at somepoint replace the gears or get them replaced if you get an EVO. I joined a FB group for evo owners and constanly people posting and everyone saying sounds like the gears were the issue. They have released 2 refreshes of the evo since I got mine so might have sorted it out but who knows.

    Border Force Seizure

I’m definitely in the “both sides are trying to screw us over” camp . on the one side you have the U.K. Gov(and I don’t care wether it’s the tories or Labour in power they both would pull the same stunt) seeing a new ATM has opened up and they don’t need a card or an account to draw as much money as they want out of it , then on the other side you’ve got the EU who are desperately trying everything they can to stop Brexit having any kind of success no matter how large or small it may be simply because they know if there is any benefit out of it for the U.K. then their whole house of cards will come crashing down and the dream of one super state ruled by France and Germany is dead in the water . having spoken to a few different European nationals over the past year or so about it who’ve said how much they want Brexit to work so their own countries can do the same and get out I really do believe this is the EU’s controlling powers game plan .

  39. When I did a lot of site work if you had a level be it Stanley, stabila, magnusson or ox,unless it was calibrated to an industry standard it had to have a sticker saying 'for indication only' the same applied to steel tape measures. A load of bollocks cause you knew if your courses were running true. The calibration process was with a water level. Regards

  41. 'nother update: This is the current state of my AAPs. You can see the TTI triggers on both, TTI selector on the DMR and standard AA charging handle on the pistol. Detail of the pistol (the sticker is from the latest tournament to indicate it chronoed at sub 1J) Closer look at the DMR (the missing screw on the grip stripped itself to all fuck on installation) Detail of the TTI selector

  42. My game yesterday was amazing. Very warm and very sweaty, but we played in an area of the site we never play in, allowing me to use a pathway that only a tiny handful of players (mostly marshalls) know about to plink away at the enemy team with my silent HPA VSR setup and have them scratching their heads wondering where the hell they got shot from / how the hell did someone get behind them in a chokepoint-y game. Arms and legs are covered in scratches bcause I had to fight through thorns to use it as it's super overgrown, but worth it. Also, I ditched the ghillie a few months ago due to temperatures / humidity / general sweat and eye-pro fogging, but I went one further and only wore a short sleeved OD t-shirt and BDU trousers while sniping and I still had people almost trip over me and be super surprised after I shoot them. Superior fieldcraft trumps a ghillie suit every day of the week and it's good to get the practice without it. Plus it feels even better when you go unnoticed while knowing you're not wearing the best camo. Maybe I'll try it next in a loud hawaiian shirt... I also ache all over today, which means it was a good day!

  43. Absolutely boiled my tits off yesterday but had a great day. To top it off I took a mate who used to play paintball for his first game and by lunchtime he was a convert

  44. Had a blast playing yesterday, but my god it was bloody hot and no moving air down in he woods. Went through a bottle of water each game but started to struggle in the end so called it a day about 3. Took 2 AEG's and my gas L119 A1, AEGs never left the safe zone ! That's 4 consecutive games now where I've only run gas , I love GBBRs and the tactical play they demand but usually mix it up with an AEG . WE haters take note that it hasn't missed a beat in a game and it's had several thousand BBs through it in testing gaming and garden plinking. 5 single mags one double mag and a speed loader and I'm good for a game. One gas fill gives me about 2.5 BB loads per mag . 3 GBBRs on our team yesterday, the noise in the woods was Awesome 😁

Working on my MB10 with the following: Action Army Hop Unit Maple Leaf bucking Polished 6.03 Barrel Mancraft SDIK Annoyingly the fluted barrel was to small in diameter for the action army hop unit, so had to resort to my old FN SPR out barrel as the stock hope unit was shite so wanted to keep the AA. Will be doing a camo paint job on this tomorrow, .

  47. Behind a guy at chrono today, rifle coming in at just under 400 on .2’s…the marshal then proceeded to let him re chrono (twice), using heavy and heavy weight bb’s till he was just under 350. Not all who wear a hi vis on site are as clever as they make out.
