  2. I f you continue to use class as a reason to justify your message you will undermine its credibility. Useless, selfish parents are the problem and class is irrelevant the children just suffer in different ways. The poorest are just easiest to see and wring our hands over, when you support the feckless with policies that encourage state support rather than individual responsibility why would people change?

  3. its solid to be honest. I went back to the original motor as the high speed one was junk. I've got another 25000 motor coming next week that I'll fit and get back to crazy binary fire. I had someone message me a while back as they had problems with theirs feeding but every magazine I've tried (and I've got quite a few different brands) all work fine. Taiwangun as showing as "coming soon" so you might want to hold off until they get their new shipment. I'm hoping the Tan version arrives at the same time and I'll grab one. Oh and I've S hopped the inner barrel so it now chucks .36g about 65 meters.

  8. I have one. Not played with it yet, will be used on Sunday for my first post-lockdown skirmish. The new internals are pretty good - I've no plans to replace anything inside the GB until it breaks. Stock motor is torquey but a little slow (11-12 RPS on 7.4v LiPo). I have: - Replaced the hop rubber and nub (had a TM spare) - Removed the fuse and added deans connector - Changed the fire selector for this one - Re-shimmed and re-greased (to be fair it was decent enough on both counts out of the box) - Rocket 16TPA Hi-Torque I'm very happy with it so far. Can't comment on longevity yet though. Pics of the internals.

  11. 2 litres in winter up to 4 litres in summer, water, in whatever coke / lemonade / Irn Bru bottles I've fished out of the recycling. In CQB with short games I just glug in the safe zone. In woodland, a 2 litre bottle left in respawn, and carry a 1 litre canteen, mil-spec operator-tech as used by real life Omega Seal Delta Beret Rangers. I might sling a fizzy vitamin C tablet, Ribena, some orange juice or whatever in there, but salt replenishment is handled by peanuts, pork pies and Snickers MARATHONS. I've tried a camelback, but I can't get on with suckling at the rubbery teat, it just feels a bit like that time I did after-party hospitality for a Young Conservatives Club.

  12. I still own this p90, the plastic has not aged well, was made from an old toytec version that Den had butchered, only issue was having to have a battery bag strapped to the side.

  13. Looks like someone trying to take advantage of clearance by charging twice the price lol. No actual item pictures & only the sale sizes available, probably going to place an order on EdgarBrothers right after someone falls for it & just input their address 🤣

    Drinking Water and Airsoft

I take that out in the morning, drink another .5/1l at lunch and then another 500ml in the afternoon. I would rather take 1L but can't figure a way to carry it very well with my chestrig. What do you do? I used to carry a large 1.25L shaker bottle and leave it by a tree, but I found having to walk back to said tree after each game was more exhausting than just carrying 500ml on me instead.
    1 point
  17. I hope that's not all you drink! Obviously the amount of water you need will depend on age, weight, gender, fitness and the weather but if you're running about in gear then 1litre in a day is way too little!

  18. year round, 1l russian army flask on my rig. that's for in-game, depending on the site and availability of water i'll have extra in the car.

  19. Yeh - I went with the 340FPS version - but you're right, it was just a cut-down spring - it was well done though and the gun is shooting a consistent 345fps. I reckon they ear-mark a certain number of them per consignment and downgrade ready for those who order as it's a popular model. Mine shipped really quickly after ordering - so I doubt they took it apart between ordering and sending.
    1 point
  20. Is that what you went with? The spring looks like it might have been cut and flattened. Not at all a problem if so[*], I'm just wondering if they're replacing or trimming. [*] My CYMA M4 came from PatrolBase with the spring cut so short that it was only just barely under tension with the piston forwards. It still shot a consistent 330 fps and the gearbox was doubtless happier to not be under constant stress.

  25. This thread needs more canapés. I'd be fine getting and spending child bennies as vouchers, this isn't a suggestion for thee but not me. Sure, the worst parents would still find ways to trade them away. The groans from landlords and the cheers from betting shops when housing benefit starting being paid direct to tenants could be heard from orbit. But some wouldn't, and I'm all about pragmatic harm reduction, rather than perfection-or-nothing. You'd have a tough time trading them for an airsoft IF, I'd hope.

  26. Taiwangun do wholesale to other sellers, and shipments seem to have been all over the place recently, so I guess retailers will source whatever they can, wherever they can.
    1 point
  27. That’s part of the issue of the argument for ‘food voucher’ based child benefit or benefits. Its a class based dinner party & daily mail argument. Yes - selfish (or neglective) parents are that problem, not their class or how much money they have. State support vs individual responsibility is also a complex matter. You can take on all your responsibilities and still fall into the need for support from the welfare state. There are those that abuse it, but also there are those who it is designed for

S'funny, I always wanted an MP7 because they just look so....well, you know. Had an opportunity to get my hands an a real one and I dunno...that steep grip angle just felt so off. Almost as if it was actually tilted forward at the bottom. Leaning more towards an MP9 now.

  34. Heres my PTS Masada DSG with a distressed red cerakote finish. Has a real EXPS 3 and a dummy peq box for battery. Wires from peq box are routed through the hole where the front sight sits and connected to the BTC Chimera in the handguard. Barrel is cut down from the standard 11.5" CQB length so as to accommodate an acetech lighter bt while keeping overall barrel length at 10.5". Took the better part of 6 months to source all the required parts and the poor internal design of the masada made the process all the more challenging but glad it worked out in the end.

  35. Jesus fucking H Christ. I totally get it now. No, a cheapo scope just won't do. Go for the Vortex. In for a penny n'all that. Personally, I would rather spend the 200 notes on a nice bottle of spiced rum, a line or two of coke, capped off with a blowie from the Albanian hooker that lives down the street. At least the next day I would left with only fuzzy memories of my bad spending decision(s). And possibly herpes.😜 (P.S. I'm only pulling your leg BTW)

    G&Gs Supposed new line

I want all multiglam plate carrier players banned. They are wearing protection to intentionally not feel hits. Plate carriers are for serious operators only not for airsoft use. Nobody needs more than a springer and a dream. Arse holes exist in all airsoft groups and singling people out for not using specific equipment is also a dick move.

  44. Was a very sad case but my reaction was similar. My very first thought was if he was 14 why was he on a moped? it wasn't his, he couldn't have had it legally so why was he on one. I know loads of kids 'with' mopeds and I always say the same. I work with mostly low income families and when I see their 15/16 year old son on one its always my first question, as usually the answer is drug money. Either bought illegally with drug money, or its nicked/passed around so they can do ride outs or deliver drugs. Therefore they are generally in that 'life' and more often than not involved in suffering in some way. Not that they deserve death, but claiming innocence when you move in those circles is just silly. If you sell drugs, rob people, hang with people who stab others or are involved in a gang then that's the expectation and I have little empathy in these circumstances. Which is shocking considering my job 🤔 Same when they have fatal crashes in cop chases, if they were that innocent why didnt they stop? I am not saying cops should run them off the road (thats another debate) but if they would have stopped then they would be alive.

  45. Late '90s/early '00s - staring at the DenTrinity website - they had built a P90 (which was uber cool in popular culture at the time) using TM internals in a model gun way before TM bought theirs to market. I was hooked from there on in.

    Old School Airsofters.

I started back in 2006 and I very much prefer it when it's simpler. Yes, I'm branching out into converting my own guns to HPA (done a boltie, DMR is next), but I don't understand today's obsessions with fps and rps. My m14 DMR fires at 1.4J and my spring VSR is at 2.1J that's fine by me! It's a limit, not a goal. And you said you wanted some old pictures. I'm fortunate enough to have a bunch of my old photos from back in 2008 or so. Safe zones used to be a lot more simple. Literally just an area of the field marked with tape at this event in Spain. Back then there was very little organised airsoft where I lived. It was mostly just us as a community agreeing "yeah, we'll go airsoft in this place" as there were loads of abandoned / out of the way places to do it. Though this pic is from an event that was at least somewhat organised. I think it was a two day thing in the mountains near a small hotel that we stayed in over night. Yes, that's a stock cyma m14 and a stock Warrior L96. I was also firing .25s and it was just fine (where today people would say "WHY NOT HEAVY AMMO?") And a bit of fun at an Easter game

600mAh for a ‘mini’ or ‘stick’ battery, 1300-1700mAH for a ‘large’ one. I remember coming home on leave in 2001 and blowing £450 on a Classic Army MP5 from Wolf Armouries. Anyone here play at Airsoft Adventures at Greenham Common. Still my favourite Airsoft site to date.
