Can I up the ante a bit? Because I have the impulse control of a 7 year old, I’ve got one of these on the way https://www.brownells.co.uk/B-TM-FOLDING-STOCK-FOR-RUGER-10/22-SAMSON-MANUFACTURING-CORP-B-TM-Folding-Stock-For-Ruger-10-22-Stainless-Stainless-Steel-100047441 It’s called the B-team and I couldn’t resist it. Apologies to those who saw my other thread, but I'm pretty proud of my placard/micro rig I've designed so I'm gonna show it in here too tbh! Won't up sell too hard here, feel free to look up @f9gear_ on IG (or FB) if you're in to kit and would like to know more. Or even if you just want to follow the story of an airsofter selling gucci gear to Americans (hopefully).3 points -
Thank you all for your replies. It has hop up and the very small screw for adjustment seems to be Loctited in, but the problem was not a vertical error but a 360 deg. error. The barrel and shells were cleaned before use so there should have been no problem, however i bought some .4 balls a couple of weeks ago and the accuracy is much better, i will try some heavier balls when my local (250 miles away!!) dealer has some more in stock. I have been shooting for 70 years and still learning something new as airsoft is a new science to me. Thanking you all again for your help. Regards, Makis3 points

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
ApocalypseAirsoftPaintbal and 2 others reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
A great day at Apocalypse just outside Royston on Sunday, despite the kurtz deciding to throw a tantrum and decide to work fine on the range but not in game twice. I ended up spending the afternoon running around with just the gas shotgun and a training knife, the 4 knife kills in under 5 minutes was a nice bonus3 points -

I chopped a 1978 CG125 once... Hardtail, single seat and pullbacks. I also upholstered one, covering the entire thing in inch long fur from a set of those faux animal skin seat covers that used to 'grace' so many Cortinas and Vauxhall Vivas. They were majestic.3 points -
Sight

There is another thread on this forum I've literally updated at the same time, about face pro and the exact same sight 🤣2 points -
Hey Snuff, I've got one of each and I can say that the middle one is the easiest and clearest to use. The others obscure the target somewhat and if they're not magnified it reduces their effectiveness. If you do look for a magnified one I would suggest not going over 2x2 points

I'm after a damping kit myself, but I'll most likely make my own whenever I can find silicone sheets, and buy a spare parts kit just in case. Because with my luck I'm sure I'll fuck it up right when there's a shortage of parts2 points

There was two services one was meant to be faster so I took the cheaper option as it was never going to be fast. £23.40 for a 2.4kg 1.2 by .4m box. People may have got confused but total order was £456.002 points

Priority racking should be reserved for your wife, or at least your favourite mistress. I'm genuinely interested to hear about whether @BigStew got "racked" for VAT and duty. There's no reason that GunFire (and TaiwanGun) can't start paying it at source instead of Polish VAT, and given their random communication, they might have done it without even bothering to tell anyone.2 points

If UPS have delivered in 6 days that's incredibly random and lucky. I'd be interested as well if they managed to do this. UPS brokerage emailed me on Friday to say that my parcel was awaiting inspection, but they said they'd put it in priority racking. It's made my parcel feel a lot better as it sits in the warehouse.2 points

TM Hi Capa 5.1 D.O.R. ... any opinions?
Daveoc33 and one other reacted to RostokMcSpoons for a topic
Well I pulled the trigger on it... Defconairsoft selling at £135 plus next day delivery at £6. Also bought a couple of cans of gas as well, one mini for my belt pouch, one full size but low power for indoor plinking. Got some abbey ultra and sniper already knocking around for the next skirmish, if it's below 10C Now I did mention I was interested in the px4. Specifically because @Farapollo has a nearly new one for sale, with a spare mag included for around the £100 mark. And I twice contacted him about it. First I changed my mind and bought my F2000 for Xmas, and now this. Sorry Farapollo! So if anyone reading this thread has a hankering for a modern TM pistol, but thinks £135 plus another £30 for a spare mag is off-putting, I recommend you consider his package instead. It was such a great value proposition I still feel a bit silly for going for a pistol I slightly prefer the aesthetics of, but it's costing me so much extra cash.2 points -

This is a tricky one Legislation on the carriage of dangerous goods changed a few years back and brought in restrictions on ‘pressure vessels’ as opposed to ‘pressurised’ This means that any ‘normal’ carrier will show them in their ‘restricted’ or ‘prohibited’ goods lists (probably prohibited) and then you can only use a specialist carrier, or as retailers will (or ought to) use their contracted carrier on specific runs etc Blame the people who used to lie on their declarations and had air cylinders found on routes that used air Mail (a lot more than you may think) If you manage to find one, then ideally the cylinders regulator should be removed (rendering it impossible to pressurise - but doesn’t stop it being a ‘pressure vessel’ A lesser measure is to remove the full nipple and/or the high burst disk - but anyone running the package through an X-ray won’t notice that - they will still see a cylinder with a fitted regulator (***** of course it must be fully depressurised before removing any parts *****)2 points

CYMA CM048m - Patrol Base
Tactical Pith Helmet and one other reacted to Rogerborg for a topic
It depends on your site's chrono policies, and everyone's got their own ideas of the One True Way. If they chrono with the weight that you're intending to use, with hop on, sure. Some sites are still using 0.2g, some apparently even want the hop turned right off. If you're unlucky enough to play at once of those, you'll have to tune to their quirks. There's a notional legal consideration that if it's capable of auto, and shooting "any missile" at over 1.3J, then it's not legally speaking an airsoft gun. You'd be hard pressed to find any tool of the State who knows this, let alone cares about it though.2 points -

OK, just fitted my new madbull rail on my mws. Frankly buying stuff for my pew has been a panacea for me these past 12 months. Don't regret a single penny. Internally it's all stock, I have a Magpul UBR (I took the little compartment out as I love the skeletonised look), rs Eotech xps2, rs Surefire M900a, an angry gun tracer unit and a Ferro Slingster.2 points -

The 'What have you just bought' Thread
Paul72 reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
In my experience that moment usually arrives about a week after having a clear out, or when I've forgotten where I put them. As for the bungee cord, it's turned out to be the best sling I've used. Every other way of carrying it has resulted in the gun either being a ball ache to get off my back, or flopped about getting in the way1 point -
Half face mesh mask issue
Paul72 reacted to RostokMcSpoons for a topic
Same thing with my F2000, with the same sight you've got...! So I bought this from Ant Supplies That's a 20mm lift at the lowest setting. 5 slot version, £12 inc p&p https://www.ant-supplies.uk/rails-and-adapters/adjustable-height-weaver-riser-rails.html As SeniorSpaz suggests, you could try a different mask, but I prefer a more upright head position, rather than trying to find a cheek weld. Higher head = better view around the sights / peripheral vision. Oh yeah, and I recommend one of these too... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2943134490171 point -

Electric speedloader in UK
Tactical Pith Helmet reacted to Skara for a topic
Can't beat a genuine Odin. I've had a clone and it was shit, mags wouldn't lock in or they were a really tight fit (meaning I had to yank the magazine out of the loader with quite some force). Getting the airtech adapter in and out was a struggle and once the mag reached idk, 80 bbs, the handle would become super hard to crank. The genuine? Nope, not a single issue, except it's not too easy to find in this country. For pistol/vsr mags I still prefer the good old syringe style loaders though.1 point -

Have a look on YouTube at how sweet that stock’s action is tho. The thing that pushed me over the edge was the name, I’m going to be a low cost cosplay version of Hannibal. Keeping my little fingers crossed that most sights are fine with me running DMR limits even though the real steel gun is 22lr1 point

Any help on my build
Paul72 reacted to concretesnail for a topic
That's good to hear. A sharper response from trigger press to bb release is easy to do by adding a precocking mosfet to the build. After the first priming shot the piston is then held at the point of release so the cycle time is after bb is fired rather than before.1 point -
Ahoy and welcome. Looks like you've got a couple of options round there. I'd emphasise that it's just fine to go to airsoft solo, it's super easy to get talking to people, and most folk at most sites will be very happy to show you the ropes.1 point

Thank you for letting us know, and I'm sorry to hear that. To be honest, I'd got the impression that FRV was some one-man bedroom operation being done on the side. It's both surprising and disappointing to hear that employees are losing out as well as customers. It does smack rather of moribund thinking from the owner, and I hope things improve for you.1 point

I managed to find one for mine that was a little lower than the normal AK type. Unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from or what it was. I have a feeling it was from skirmshop, but looking on there they don't seem to have it anymore. It looks to be this type, but where you can get one from I don't know, I'm afraid. https://m.alibaba.com/product/60595790961/Quick-Detach-AK47-AK74-Side-Rail.html1 point
