I charge my Titan Li-Ion batteries with the same charger I use for my LiPos (Accucell S60). They're all basically the same chemistry at the end of the day, the bit that is a touch confusing is that when you get a Titan battery it has "CHARGE ONLY" on a label on the balance lead and "DISCHARGE ONLY" on a label on the main power connector. Thing is that my charger won't balance charge unless BOTH are connected. Hasn't burnt the house down yet though.3 points

Seen, and cannot be unseen. You'd have to - have to - replace that gopping Frankenstock at a minimum. The rails are nice if you want to add tacticool, but as a woodland secondary, I'd plan for bareback nose-to-nose engagements. I'd hold out for a K.2 points -
if you're flush with cash then sure treat yourself to something new, but in general there's isn't a gearbox issue which can't be fixed with new parts and time etc. Your problem could be a number of things, slipping gears? ARL perhaps. Best thing you can do is make a little video of it firing and another one with a look inside at all the bits2 points
-
I think the op may be referring to having a backup AEG as has been recommended, not actually using it as a secondary. And as far as actual secondaries I'll give my broken drum answer ,any new generation TM gbb pistol. I use them as primaries you can't beat them.2 points

Nothing special this Sunday, I shot some people, they shot me back, we were all shooting someone. In one game a lot of friendly fire went on and the attacking team wiped itself off, this happened because I found myself in the middle of said team, shot one person and then remained hidden in my bush. And I finally broke a flash mag the little anti reversal spring that keeps the wheel from unwinding itself snapped in half I have no spares so I need to sacrifice an old high cap to the Airsoft deities.2 points

Strongarm Airsoft (Kent)
Spartan873 reacted to Jez_Armstrong for a topic
Good sunny Sunday to everyone I've opened my workshop back up and I'm taking in repairs again I would like to add that I do have a full time job and that any work taken on will be done in the evenings because of this I would just like to keep my work to repairs of broken guns to get guns back to working order so people can play, taking on bigger projects like DMR conversions or high speed builds won't be my preference, not that I can't do them but I'm not able to range test at my current location I can work on the majority of AEG's I do mainly specialise in M4's, MP5's G3's or anything H&K but I've probably been inside 95% of airsoft guns I'm based in Tunbridge wells in Kent so drop off for Kent players is fine, guns can be posted to me but customers must cover the cost of delivering each way I have most spares in my workshop to get a gun back to life but if you wish to supply new parts just make sure they are compatible My prices are very reasonable as this isn't my main income it's something to keep me busy and to make use of my workshop again so I charge ยฃ35 for a full aeg service which includes a full strip down and clean and re-grease, reshim and checking all components for wear, cleaning barrels, re-wiring if necessary Feel free to message me here or drop me a message on my Facebook page (although sometimes I don't always get the notifications ๐ค) [email protected] Or Facebook.com/strongarmairsoft1 point -
I bought these off a seller on eBay in the UK. Made in China, these were brand new. I have gone for a walk in the nearby woodland and they work really well and they have good range, which is ideal for airsoft. The Picture is nice, clear and sharp. The mount which is tough plastic, I will replace with a metal one. I am looking for a fully adjustable mount - anyone could advise that would be great. They were ยฃ1150, but I offered ยฃ1000 which was taken. I was on the fence but I went for it and I am glad I did. I will be trying them out this Friday evening (night game) but using the headset and stand alone strap, to see how I get in with it.1 point

@RostokMcSpoons Are you still buying yourself a PTS EPS stock? If yes wait until you have it, it's like going from a shed in your back-garden to an aircraft hanger, the space inside it is immense and you can fit practically any battery you want to. There are more than enough photo's of it out there, however I'm happy to pop a few different batteries in mine and take a few photo's if it helps.1 point

Double Eagle M906 ... what's the *best* battery I can fit in the standard stock?
RostokMcSpoons reacted to Lozart for a topic
That's exactly the battery I use in my M4. Unless you have a spectacularly short battery lead, it should be plenty long enough to get the battery in and have the connectors at the back end.1 point -

Good god, no, a Galaxy MP5K plastic-fantastic. Sadly hard to find now that the good word has got out. That absolute cunt fine fellow at Negative Airsoft bought up the last of the UK stock along with all the ZCI rotary hop units in Christendom. This is why I can't find another to dual-wield.1 point

Most likely a bb blockage causing the piston to chew a little bit Is the Umarex the ones that are manufactured by VFC? if so the exterior wise you will struggle to find something as close to the real thing. Internals from VFC can always be a pain though1 point
-
JG do some pretty good MP5 models for decent prices and CYMA have metal uppers which are a bit more (if you can find one) Obviously something got chewed up so best not to use it until you figure out where the plastic came from and where the slippage is. Assuming you've already checked the gears have no wear and all the teeth are good on the piston, I would check the bushings and motor pinion gear. Are you using 11.1v Li-Po by any chance?1 point

Finding right bb weight for my gun
Pappa Large reacted to Tactical Pith Helmet for a topic
As long as they're quality BBs such as Bulldog piss yellow .12s you'll be fine.1 point -
Fair, I've actually seen this, but I don't think anyone else makes the E2 variant - And besides, I've already ordered the base gun by now. I don't really mind replacing parts, the things that matter to me are that the gearbox can be shimmed and that the trigger response is decent. I might ask a friend to put a custom V3 Gearbox in it eventually (because if i try to do that myself something is going to go wrong very quickly as I have never worked with AEGs and don't want to attempt the really complicated stuff)1 point

As mentioned, ideally they should be put to a storage level but it isn't absolutely necessary. If you don't have a decent charger, get one.1 point

Advice please-cheap but good 5.56 fast mag pouches
Oneshotscott reacted to Lozart for a topic
If they're the Warrior pouches with the black, textured vinyl type lining, just ditch the bungee loops and run them as is. They'll be fine. Alternatively, get yourself some kydex inserts and shove them in your pouches. Job done.1 point -
Lipos don't need to be discharged you run the risk of running them flat that will wreck them.1 point

Finding right bb weight for my gun
Rogerborg reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
conversation was a while back, but iirc we ended up reckoning the cost was probably the major factor, ie it'd be cheaper to buy the lower density polymer and mix in additives (especially if that same density polymer is what's used on a lighter bb in the product range)1 point -
Now scraping the bottom of the broken drum, but for a backup gun I'd be thinking rental favourites, e.g. CYMA - AK plus a couple of hi-caps, M4 for mag compatibility, MP5 because MP5 - or a JG G36, because you'll need it to work. Have you slummed it with an AAP-01 yet? I mean, all the cool kids are smoking them.1 point

Rogerborg reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
pretty much this. how much a hop can lift can ofc be changed, depending on how far you want to go. usually the .28-.32g range tends to be the balance folk end up at for assault style guns outdoors as a balance between decent performance and being affordable for the kind of round count you typically would be using.1 point -

Shoot the heaviest BBs your hop lifts and you can/are prepared to afford as a rule of thumb. Nothing wrong with any of the previous advice, in fact it's damn good, but I find it comes down to this in practice. I use .28g in most stuff and .30 in my DMR. Then again I am lazy...1 point -
AK2M4 is the go-to for miscellaneous parts. If you mean the long spring that pulls the charging handle back forwards (which then pushes the mock bolt plate forwards), this should be it: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/misc-internal-parts/xt-charging-handle-spring If it's the spring that flips the dust cover itself, hmm. Some flip open, some flip closed, and I'm not sure which one this receiver spring set has: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/misc-internal-parts/ec-m4-receiver-spring-set To be honest, I've taken to just binning off those springs and the mock bolt plate itself, you don't actually need any of them. @ak2m4 is on here, or can be reached via his site, he's a very helpful fellow.1 point

I feel like a bit of a broken drum here but you don't need a secondary, and in woodland you'll rarely find a reason to use one (beyond "Want to"). I mean, assuming that your T10 shoots under your site limit for auto-guns, with the BB's that you intend to use (I'd suggest 0.28g+) which I did mention up-thread and I hope you've got an assurance from the seller on that. What I run alongside a DMR or sniper is a light plastic MP5K on a leg panel with a 500 round high-cap magazine. Strap on and forget it, it's a full size AEG gearbox in a close-to-pistol-size frame, and actually lighter than a pistol + mags for even a fraction of that ammo capacity. Full sustainable auto, close to 1J, it's a compelling combination. I wouldn't want to carry anything bulkier than that as a secondary, and there shouldn't be any need to with a T10 primary. Having a backup gun with you is a good idea, but it doesn't need to be anything special given that you'll ideally not be using it. For fun factor, gas blowback pistols are hard to beat, although I'd stress how little you'll likely use one in woodland at most sites. AAP-01, or Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa or G17 are common choices. As we're into Winterish weather, you could consider CO2 although I've never bothered because MP5K Master Race, and the risk of running too hot.1 point

What i'm meaning is that overspin on its own isnt really an issue. If there's no pme in auto and it's not locking up/double firing in semi then tbh a bit of overspin is just free precocking (precocking being just intentional controlled overspin)1 point -

So did my first day playing Airsoft today over at Airsoft Plantation. Went with a friend who turns out has been going for some time! Mostly had a good time, absolutely shattered though! Don't think my body has moved like that (short running bursts, kneeling down, bending round corners etc) for around 2 years. THINK I mostly kept up with the pace, there were a few times I was happy to stay back a bit lol. As a first timer, my biggest challenge was knowing the map. Marshalls explained the game and where we needed to go etc, but not knowing where they are, meant I was just following others around quite a bit. Think once ive been there a few more times, ill start to get to know where everything is and have more of a equal playing field to the regulars. (Maybe i should have asked the marsalls for a map or something...). Did feel guilty at one point as a nade went off which I thought was 7-8 meters away (where they say anyone within 5m is hit), but marshall called me out to say it hit me, happily took the hit without question, just didnt want to come across as cheating at all. Overall I enjoyed myself and can only see it getting better, Health Stats: Fat Burn Minutes: 217 (119-140bpm) Cardio Minutes: 182 (141-167bpm) Peak Heart Rate: 155bpm Calories Burnt: 4,3241 point

Those faaaabulous rainbow tracers really do look pretty good, and I particularly like the side visibility on the bright muzzle flash. The bar's just been raised a bit higher there. Just a pity that it doesn't claim to light up red tracers, those are next on my list of wants.1 point

I'm not quite sure what you were expecting when fitting a 9.3" rail on a 10.5" outer barrel? The repro SureFire cans need the clearance so the QD works properly, granted they're too chunky to sit 'in' the rail. Entirely subjective at the end of the day, I think snug to rail/'internally suppressed' looks decidedly wank so I like having rail - outer barrel - suppressor... granted I'm not sure I've ever bothered with a suppressor on a GBBR. It's just extra weight and length at the front for zero gain.1 point
