  1. If you just want to get in the game as cheap as possible and aren't too fussed with looks. Then a Tri-shot springer shotgun with an M4 mag adapter and 1 M4 magazine is a cheat code. Pump action, so no rapid fire and with the shells you'll spend more time reloading than you will be playing. But with the £8 adapter and one M4 magazine, it can be an absolute death machine. You can use them indoor no problem It scares the crap out of even experienced players. With 0.28 BBs or higher, I've been able to send it in the woods, just under normal AEG range, but plenty for what you'll need. I've had one of these for 2 years, never needed any maintenance, always performs, and I treat it terribly lol. Something like this is decent for £40: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/double-eagle-tri-shot-m56b-pump-shotgun?pv=9601 https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/battleaxe-m4-ar15-magazine-adapter-for-m870-shotguns Then any M4 mag will do, the more BBs the merrier of course. It isn't too pretty, but it works. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2. I purchased a few replica's from here before, The owner Paul actually called me up to tell me that the Mac10 I ordered was out of stock, Then as he was on the phone discovered one of his suppliers over in Germany had one, he got that ordered there and then. As well as leaving me with a bunch of free advice. He was also very helpful with one of my M4 (first time with a split gearbox) and he definitely knows his stuff. Just needs a few more of my fav weapons and I will be a very poor man. Bonus: They also accept JostCos cosplay insurance for solid colour RIFs
  3. Right... a decision has been made... I'm going to HPA it in the new year 😆 Smaller battery, smaller problems
  4. Thanks for your response, yeah I might need to strip the lot down again. I did use an 11.1v Lipo when testing actually... Think it's too much? 😁
  5. Hey all, I've been playing around with my old Umarex MP5 which served me well for a year and a half until it started to fail on me. So far I've been through a replacement motor, ripped the internals out and pulled pieces of plastic from the existing gearbox which had somehow gotten lodged in there (cure of plastic casing I guess). Now the gun fires ok in Full-Auto, but on single shot, the gears are slipping and would end up jamming BBs and causing a mess. I use single shot basically all the time on my other guns and... don't hate me, but I'm not always fan of full-auto as I mostly play CQB. Any of you pro's out there who've been through a similar ordeal, do you think its worth sticking with and getting a new gearbox installed, or should I cut my losses and get a new MP5 completely? If there's any other fixes I could try to solve the slippages, then I'd be open to hearing about them. Either way I'll keep attacking it every now and again to see if I can revive it
