Run Your Sling Through A Plate Carriers Shoulders?
SSPKali and one other reacted to Chev Chelios for a topic
If you don't intend to climb, crawl or your gun hitting you in the nuts every now and then its a tested method. Really popular way to carry 10 years ago. Have you tried a 2 point sling that can be adjusted on the fly? Can have it lose when in use so no chaffing the pull it tight to body when you want it out the way.2 points -

Hi all, not sure where else to post this so I decided on here. Had my first skirmish last weekend and loved it. So as I have 2 more games left before its worthwhile spending money on a rifle/pistol I've decided to look at buying stuff to make the breaks in between games more comfortable. So im getting a camping chair and a cool box, would you recommend anything else?1 point

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
PopRocket123 reacted to Tactical Pith Helmet for a topic
Great day at Tuddenham with the lowly G&G M4. It's Skirmish at the end of the month so the usual simple games with nothing too complicated. Marshalling was to the usual high standard, weather was bloody muggy, and due to a series of things going wrong, I ended up going on my own. I was surprised at how much enjoyable not parenting and playing was, since I originally got into airsoft to spend time with the lad. Some well spirited gameplay, especially in the afternoon, and a great load of fun around the village area with the buildings. Had some decent scraps around the containers and managed to keep a group hunting for me by the simple expedient of lying down where they expected me to be ducking around the tyres etc. Stalked a player in the shower block area as he did the same to me and we both hit each other simultaneously, which gave us a good laugh. Got hit in the back a fair few times as the opposing team could actually flank properly. Nice to see a girl leading the team as player marshal, btter still to see her getting players to push up and exploit the ground well. More power to her I say. A few moans from some re: hit taking but I saw nothing but good sportsmanship all day. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed myself despite the huge disappointment of missing out on the Namsoft weekend.1 point -

Chair and cool box are a good shout, I'd also add a tarp and some paracord. If it's raining and you fancy a bit of cover it great, i know I don't like to sit in muddy kit in the car if it's a long lunch breaks that some sites like1 point -
If the wiring is getting hot, it's because there's too much current for the size/makeup of the wiring. Changing the connector from Tamiya to Deans isn't the solution, if anything it would make it worse. If the connector was acting as a bottleneck then IT would get hot, not the wiring (if it's getting hotter than the wiring then you really do have a problem). Basically it sounds like the motor is pulling more current than the wiring can handle on account of the combination of that motor and that gearing.1 point

Nope, those are my two staples. Site seating tends to be minimalist, I prefer my own chair to a splintery bench or the cheapest possible plastic seats.1 point -

Most things on an airsoft gun are an easy fix, after you've spent hours and hours trying all the fixes that don't work, and are lucky enough to stumble on the one that does, if you don't run out of parts to modify. So I've been "assured". Well, kudos to him for being that honest, I'm sure he won't make that mistake again.1 point

Inconsistent hop
Rogerborg reacted to Pewpewpetie for a topic
Right so , still no joy, I've tried a different barrel (standard and a zci) all are doing the same. I think it's time to give up, I do have a 3 fps deviation but I can't imagine that 3 fps would cause this. These are Chrono readings on 0.28g asg. Going to try playing with the hop arm as this is literally the only thing left, my last guess is that there is some vertical play on the arm causing different pressure to be applied each shot No residue anywhere, barrel is clean, tried new r hop patch, g&g green , prommy purple and a selection of nubs and still get it. It has to be the hop arm, some kind of vertical movement Yeah tried shooting the cat but bb curved hahahahahah( I didn't really)1 point -
Just came across this on zeromong , “yes folks it’s that old classic beloved by spamers the world over , “it’s not working but ‘it’s an easy fix’ “ if it’s an easy pissing fix why the feck haven’t you fixed it then !?!? AND the oh so casual way he mentions the minor fault , don’t know about you lot but I wouldn’t class a gun that CAN’T FIRE as a ‘minor’ fault !😳and he’s still asking 150 notes for a bolloxed gun ! 🤦♂️ https://forums.zeroin.co.uk/forum/classifieds/rifles-smg-s-for-sale/electric-rifles-smg-s/3243370-snow-wolf-m3-submachine-gun-grease-gun1 point

I was there with my best mate, and we’ve had a blast. I know some people will moan about “if I wanted to get pissed, I’d go to a pub”, but they seem to be missing the point. We did score a few raids, got a hold of some stolen cash and gold and... finished last anyway (Bravo!), but the vibe of the place and people being super friendly and approachable is second to none. I want to write a few words for PlayAirsoft blog about it, like a recap, but I need some free time to put my thoughts into words.1 point -

You might be right as a number of items are marked as a 10~14 day lead time, Wouldn’t be surprised if TG and Gunfire have linked up with Daves and Patrolbase and once a week a van drives over from Poland, Rather than risk UPS, I work in logistics and that’s exactly what we do,it’s easier and safer to load one van to drive direct to the UK,then the driver picks up couple of loads enroute and touts around for something to take back to Poland.1 point -

The new TM NGRS mp5. Had my first game last Sunday with it and as with all TM guns it obviously shoots amazing out the box but with the new MOSFET system, just a huge improvement on trigger response and no lock ups on semi which essentially saves the need for a titan. Trigger pull is short which is nice with good spring tension and the fire selector has a firm click and no play between each setting which is unlike any other AEG mp5 unless your lucky enough to have a TW5. Converted to a SD straight out the box as that's my preferred mp5 variant. I jubilee clip a lower kac rail with a stubby tango grip and looking at sourcing a eotech for the devgru look. As my user name suggests I love mp5s grew up seeing them in films and TV shows, I normally run a MWS as performance wise it's hard to beat but the build quality and performance of the mp5 is outstanding so I bumped the FPS up out the box so its now up there with the MWS and I personally feel like the MWS will start gathering dust now ha.1 point

Collecting for quite a while now, still happy as a child, when I get my hands on something rare - in this case, the happyness is accompanied by something like awe, as it doesn't get much rarer than this Tanaka Colt SAA Casyopea (which already is rare as hell in and of itself, as these were banned in Japan together with their Casyopea counterpart, the S&W M500) with a Prime CNC Brass Kit (possibly the only brass kit for Casyopea in existence, either a mod of a Pegasus brass kit, or Prime has begun to build one of these, but stopped when the Casyopeas were banned in Japan). The loading breach is black, as are the hammer and the trigger. Might be, that Prime stopped production midway... or maybe a modder lost interest to go full monty... So this might be a real one-off, in this configuration possibly the only one of its kind. Build quality is extremely high, of course, and it has a very nice, authentic weight of 1.030g. The Casyopea shells are a lot of fun. Really pretty enthusiastic about this one 😃1 point

as all mentioned above about other ICS AEGS, Spring release function i believe, is now removed due to this reason, ive got a few ICS AEGS and they have the release function as it was 'the thing' when released, they occasionally use to load 2 bbs but seems to have stopped now...or i dont notice as much. They do have it within some ICS descriptions had the same issue with hop when i first got it as i wasnt 100% sure until explained to me, but it was all new to me and everyday is a school day copy / paste! ICS Gun Information All ICS Guns (except M1 Garand) are downgraded in the ICS factory to UK legal specifications This means that the guns will chrono between 290 and 350 fps on a .2g BB dependant on barrel length and gun model. ICS install a M100 spring instead of the M120 and with Infinite 2500 motor instead of Turbo 3000 motor. The reason for the spring change is to get the velocity below the UK legal limit The reason for the motor change is to minimise motor over spin that courses 2 bbs being fired from 1 pull of the trigger on sub 400 fps rifles. On all ICS EBB guns the decocking function (what happens when the fire selector is moved to Safe) has been removed by the factory. The reason for the removal of the decocking feature is that under some circumstances after moving from safe to single shot the action can load an extra bb into the hop unit resulting in a double shot or damage to the rifle.1 point

I posted on this thread in may June 2021. Its Sept....No sign of TG order. TG also got a bit funny about refunding through Paypal and gave them a hard time i.e it wasnt easy getting a refund through Paypal. I have used the services of Patrolbase for one the same items on the original TG order. Their uplift is not bad to be fair once they have added something for themselves +VAT. My advice would be to not risk ordering anything RIF related from TG. Use Patrolbase and let them take the risk!0 points
