23rd year of playing this year and I too hit my peak. rifles are down to 3, pistols 2, one LMG and an MP5. I've just made sure they fit in with with my Vietnam or Australian Kit fetish's, so I now spend money on that with one generic airsofter loadout.

L119a2 is mostly done. Fake rsa with trades is on route. Im adding the reciever finishes and trades next month and ill strip and repaint it then. A friend is milling me a replacement rear reciever pin.

Hi Guys! Had my first ever Airsoft game last weekend & whilst I loved it...the fogging face mask did annoy me. I've been told to give mesh goggles a miss so I'm after some advice about which are the best eye protection out there?

Didn't know that, might be the reason why my right foot (smaller than the left one) is snug but okay where as my left is just rather uncomfortable. I text the army surplus owner and he said "no problem" to my return so that's good news. I didn't mention refund though

Any time i've had silicone on a hop rubber it hasnt taken more than half a mag for it to bed back in. However that said, a hop rubber is a wear item, and lozart has a point that if you ever keep one long enough for it to have issues then just replace it wether it's dozed from age or worn from use.

I do have a Krytac Vector that I use for the CQB field and in the market for a CQB M-4 not sure what brand tho. I ended up purchasing from AK2M4 a ZCI barrel, two maple leaf rubbers and two zci springs to just see what happens and purchase the bigger upgrades later. Negative Airsoft I believe like the Gate asters over the titans an the Asters actually fit krytacs so thats probably what I will be looking into after these upgrades an see where it is lacking.

Good eye - it is indeed SLS. I cant print in it, but I do prototyping myself, and when Im happy with a final product I send it off to be made in better materials - whether that be SLS, metal, etc. Currently I only really use PLA and PETG in my printer.

So I'm going to try airsoft for the first time and I'm going to the base CQC near Swindon on the 22nd of August . Just in case someone stumbles upon this thread looking for answers: I had replaced the crap stock motor with a SHS high torque one bought from ak2m4 and the difference is clear. Trigger is more responsive, and my rps increased to 15.4 (from 12) with the 7.4V battery. The stock gears are supposed to be 18:1 on this AK. Because of space constraints I think I will stay with the 7.4V battery and maybe change the gears to some 16:1 to add that couple more rps laterz. I was thinking about a mosfet but not that worried about that now, I can replace that miscroswitch anyway if I burn it down.

Welcome! Mixed results from some people using stuff, but Rain-X antifog used to work for me. If it can demist a leaky classic Mini Cooper, then googles were never a problem. Ultimately solved that by going for mesh.

Late again! Sorry 🤭 Yes fogging the bane of seeing the enemy. Although it kind of evens up cause even the enemy suffers from it. Lol I have tried antifog potions but can't say any really work. Have just purchased a pair of fma fan assisted goggles but have not fielded them yet.the fan doesn't seem very good to be honest but time will tell.🤞 I must admit that I do slide a sneaky digit up under my eye pro when things get bad bit like a living wiper blade but keeping peepers shut tight. But as @GAMBLEsays never take your eypro off unless in the safe zone👍 Regards

They help to seal the hop unit to the nozzle. The ring is a spacer to ensure the hop and inner barrel are centred. The spring puts pressure on the hop to push it towards the nozzle so it keeps a good seal.

Couple of new additions First up the Kel TEC RDB 17 by Ares. Haven't had a chance to use this yet but it feels great when in your hands and shouldered. Next up is my Secutor Magna Glock 17. Fired a couple of mags of this in the garden and I'm loving it. Very snappy. The stippling was a tad too aggressive when new out of the box but when you have gloves on you won't even notice.

Ah but if you stick to the Business Light frequency range (for example if you were to install the free software Chirp and download the BSL frequency selections) then you would be operating in a safe frequency range that doesn't interfere with any emergency services. Plus, if the site you play at has its own business use licence for their marshals then technically you would be covered by that anyway.
