Bad Form or Not ?
sonofsammo and one other reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
Yes it was a dick move on the other buyers part. He knew his low offer had been rejected and was trying to stop someone else buying it. Probably hoping the seller would eventually accept his crap offer. I'd be tempted to buy it just to piss him off2 points -

I have ordered loads from Ali express and had zero problems. Even with things not arriving or they being faulty. If its faulty, they have a UK based handling centre to return. If it doesn't arrive and the seller is a dick, Ali express with refund it. The seller doesn't get the funds released until you have accepted the product. So it really is in the sellers interests to not try and defraud you. Wait till it hits the expected due date and if it hasnt arrive then, start down the claims route. Its really quick. Funnily enough, as i write this. A mount has just popped through my letter box from Ali2 points

My Eotech is real too but I have searched for alternative dot sights with an Eotech reticule. Tried various types and even HD MRO's The simple answer is, I do not believe you will find one that doesn't bloom/flare/ghost, due to how all the cheaper sights are built. They shine an image onto the glass you look through, so you will get the ghost at different angles. Cannot be avoided really. Here is how an Eotech does it, here is how all cheap red dots do it. My ICS CES ‘MP5’ arrived today, day early👍.... snuck it in the house, swapped it for the G33 that’s currently within easy access if I shoot the targets in the shed....no one will ever know.... son might as this one has no laser attached and at 12 he knows some of the ‘gun brands’ already 🤦♂️😂 Fitted the torch grip I bought for it last year, looks nice 😂😂 Just need to find some smaller batteries now...1 point -

Dick move for sure, but only bought on methinks by the somewhat unlikely circumstance of messaging the wrong guy.1 point -
Bad Form or Not ?
Druid799 reacted to GenuineGerman for a topic
The other buyer was trying to scupper it for you so bad form from this person. However it’s down to the seller to accept offers and if the other guy gave a low ball offer then get in there, it’s not like he had accepted the first offer and you gazumped him.1 point -
I'd say 'Yup', that's very sneaky If I know someone else made an offer first I'd consider it sold and let it go. But with hope that the seller would later ask for my offer.1 point

I have the M32H set and they've been good. The cheaper ones (Z-shot etc) are even worse so you pays your money... One thing to bear in mind is that the Earmor headsets are wired to NATO pinouts so you'll need either a genuine PTT or one of theirs, the chinese clone Z-Shot type won't work with them.1 point

While not Airsoft related, I've been "discussing" shipping a large item with an Ali vendor, it's taken 3 weeks to get 3 replies & I'm still no closer to actually paying for it. I'm guessing nothing happens quickly on Ali in general, & right now we're in the middle of a "perfect storm", so screwed for the foreseeable future lol1 point

I feel much better now that you guys have chipped in. I've always been cautions to trust AliExpress (first order) but if you guys say WIPSON are good people then I'll start twiddling now.1 point

Super busy time for them at the moment, I imagine there was a rush of orders before Jan 1st to avoid the extra 20%.1 point

The only time I ordered from aliexpress (€16 Geissele MK8 plastic fantastic clone) I didn't get any tracking number, only a "seller has shipped item" message. It did come within 2 weeks of ordering tho 😮 which is impressive for my shit 3rd world tier national postal service 😮1 point

Ebay Listing.
DaktariT reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
I'm not sure i'm down for mixing ebay and the classifieds. If i want to use ebay then i'll just go look there. But i preferr the forum environment as the community side of things generally yeilds much better security for both buying and selling.1 point -

I would not support having eBay listings here. This forum is free to use. There are no fees paid by the members for posting their Classified adverts. However, forum members must follow our forum and Classifieds rules.1 point -

Extremely jealous of the Spiritus back panel, have been waiting what feels like an age for them to turn up somewhere over here... and seemingly continue to do so. Fingers crossed that wait is over before too long. Lovely gathering of bits!1 point

Really can't beat the new TMs . I've had a few discussions with TM capa lovers on the TM pistol group who still insist that the capa is best. Despite it being 15 odd year old design and not trying any of the newer 15mm bbu models. Abundance of spares and nice trigger I'll give it that, but lacks in many more important aspects. Especially cold weather efficiency/performance which for me is paramount for me.1 point

Obviously the tigerstripe fashion was last year so I'm late to the game but it'll be ok. Did get asked to censor 1 thing by a company (for now) so apologies for the black blob haha. Best thing I did was replace my really old pre-licensed VFC 'Stark' G17s with a TM Gen 4, bone stock, it feels toyish as hell by comparison but man it runs like a german train and shoots the lights out. I started with TM pistols when I first got in to the game, stayed from the path some years ago with some VFCs (when they were truly mediocre at best) and going back feels gooood.1 point -
Two Tone

Important stuff in bold. Message and content allowances for new accounts Following a large recent spam wave (where numerous bot accounts circumvented our captcha and anti-flood restrictions by posting as legitimate sign-ups), steps need to be taken to limit the amount of spam that a single account can conduct before being found and closed down. Currently there are few restrictions on how many messages you can send as a new member. As a new member, you can have up to 250 total conversations with 8 total recipients in each. Meaning that - with the right script - you could send as many as 2,000 notifications every 15 minutes to users of the forums. This happened last night with approximately 50 new accounts, so you can imagine it was putting quite a strain on the webserver (not to mention the illicit spam being sent out to legitimate forum users). As of last night (06/12/20): when signing up you will only be able to have a total of 10 conversations with up to 4 recipients in each as well as only being able to make 10 posts or comments a day. After one week this restriction will automatically lift. If you are reading this post as an existing member who signed up before last night, your account will not be affected by this change (even if you only signed up two days ago). We do not wish to discourage new sign-ups by not allowing them to communicate with sellers on the Classifieds (our main source of new members) or preventing them from participating in discourse at all. This restriction is only present to restrict the amount of spam that might flood the website at one time so that moderators have a chance to react and shut it down. Increased bot protection A simple tweak to our 'security level' in Cloudflare* means that you may be presented with an access challenge (basically another captcha) to check that you aren't a bot. Although we already use invisible reCAPTCHA on our sign-up form, don't be surprised to see this new Cloudflare captcha for a few days as it learns to 'trust' your device/browser (for most of you, you'll see nothing). Thanks. *a service that this website uses to mitigate Denial of Service attacks and to save data by caching certain forum pages1 point

RonLancs reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
Its not an RIF, its an ROF- Really Offensive Firearm I suppose credit where its due, it doesnt have a stupid double blade trigger and at least the design choices seem to be driven with good function over form. I dont like it, but i can see why a speedsofter would.1 point -

Specna Arms Edge Upgrades?
padraigthesniper reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
I only tell people to leave their first gat alone until they get a spare so i dont have to feel guilty when something inevitably goes wrong. I sure didnt follow rule 1 when i started so i'm well aware what comes next (hint: it's taking the walk of shame with a broken gat on a weekly basis) However, the op's research seems to be on the right lines. I cant say anything against any of those products on their own (because its all stuff i would be happy to run in my own guns) However as i often mention there's more than specific individual parts to getting a nice build, for example a snappy build with a baller ass barrel isnt going to do much if for example the air seal is terrible, or your using bad/lightweight ammo etc. @Alimcd has done a great job pointing out some of the common issues with the orion that typify this. With all that said, yes its a steep learning curve but only so much can be learned from the internet before you just gotta learn by doing it.1 point -
As per the above, I ordered an item (m4 clone red dot) about 2 weeks ago and still not received a valid tracking number. I can feel this 27£ slowly slipping out of my white knuckle tight Lancashirian fist. I just wanted to let everyone know not to use WIPSON Outdoor Store as a seller. I took a chance and I fear I will feel the sting.0 points
