    What have you made?

Added some fans to my helmet. Beep boop. Will see how it goes.

  2. I spray a bit of chrome silver paint onto a sheet of paper and lightly dab one of those kitchen sponges (small square with green scrubber on back) on the paint, then lightly brush the corners and wear points on the Rif with it. you can use the yellow side for full wear and the green fuzzy side for leas heavy wear Looks just like wear, but you can take it off if you do it wrong and looks less artificial than wire wool scratches, and it works fine on plastic TM's

  4. Haven't got both to test but as Nick said, 99% sure they are the same. (Remember to insert the mag only AFTER racking it)

  5. I believe they are the same mags. The RIF's are pretty much idenicle apart from slide design

  6. @Cr0-Magnon When Luke did the work did he configure it as a DMR originally? For standard builds he does a lot short-stroking. I don't know much about those G2 gearboxes. @Lozart From memory I think it's the other way round, the zci hop window is around 1.5mm longer for the MR patch, but it's never really caused me an issue on testing, however every single brand will react differently.

  7. decided to make my own gun case. It's not the neatest but it works. Bought a tool box from b&q, hardboard, pick and pluck foam and a few cans of plasti dip. I made it three layers with the bottom one glued to the base of the box. With the pistol layer I can pick the foam out for other attachments if needed and just plasti dip that section again to firm it up. All the layers also have foam under each piece of equipment.

  10. Annoyingly I've lost the videos Luke sent me, believe it's the stock one though. Believe it is closed. I've put an order in with you for a ZCI hop chamber and 380mm barrel. Thinking I should add a 70 degree MR hop to that too 🤔

  13. Another 👍 for Entrepôt I bought a rif from them at the start of the year, good comms I got a refund for a faulty item in the bundle as well No issues with customs or charges

  14. I had a good experience with 'Entrepot' too. Fast delivery and no extra charges (may vary)

Now you are just being ridiculous, a whole £8.22 extra, not sure I can stretch to that! Thanks buddy, much appreciated.

  16. ive personally used Airsoft Entrepot to import a RIF. they were very helpful and stuck my UKARA on the box when i requested. took under a week to arrive (this was a few months ago)

  17. No worries at all, happy to share my experiences etc. That's what we're here for. I hate to say it and it's probably more expensive but you may well be safer buying from evike. You'll almost have to pay import taxes but at least you know they declare it properly. Although not sure about the power issue 🤔

Caveated that with airsoft quality control, nothing is guaranteed. It's just more likely that you'll get a good, usable example of a Silverback or (gritted teeth) SSG-10 than a cheap JG or CYMA. Steyr Scout is also getting some love.

Hello & welcome. I'll let @Shamal tell you about @GAMBLE's YouTube channel 😉 Glad you had fun, you'll stop aching eventually! Good plan on renting, it'll stop you making an impulse buy and then regretting it later. If you're itching to buy stuff then I'd recommend getting other kit like eyepro, boots etc - it's certainly what I'm doing right now.

  25. Also, while it’s cool to have rs sights on rifs, my son has a sig Romeo on his ghk m4 (a2) it does not magically turn your rif into gold. You would be lucky to get £800 for the rif alone, even with the upgrades I have a tnt combo in my ghk ak. They cost about £120. so that leaves you wanting £1000 for an outdated sight and lamp. You are on crack mate.

  29. If I were hoping that someone might pay me eighteen hundred pounds for a toy gun and a sight that won't make it any more accurate than the cheapest Chinesium red dot at airsoft ranges with airsoft accuracy, I reckon I'd make a bit of an effort to come across as a reasonable chap who would be a pleasure do to business with. Of course, other opinions are available.

  32. Just picked up this VFC Mp5 a5 Super snappy , has a tracer built into the hop unit 😎 With the wrong (but looks cool) B&T supressor, I quite fancy a tri lug barrel tip somebody must have a tri lug muzzle flash that’s redundant 🤞

  34. Been a while since I’ve bought anything other than ammo, but here’s my last few purchases. I also picked up a Colt Canada castle nut for my L119A1 from LCS but that’s not a very exciting photo. Black Crye UBACS Holy Warrior RMR and canted RMR mount Swatcom Activ8 Neckband Headset (ordered some Sordin Supreme Pros and got these as a free upgrade, can’t complain)

  36. Another jigsaw puzzle Guarder G19 - steel edition! ---------------------------------------------- Really like the forced barrel tilt and 15mm cylinder that was added in the G19 design. What I didn't really like was the velvety matte black finish that came with the steel slide, so I took a brass brush and some polishing compound and carefully carded most of it off. Not sure how this will affect the corrosion resistance (if there's any left at this point), but really like how the slide is a lighter shade of grey than the frame much like the real steel models prior to the new deep black nDLC finish. Referenced pics of heavily used police trade-in Glocks that have a worn-in tenifer/frying-pan finish and tried to match the dark grey and metallic sheen. Not quite 1:1 but still like how it turned out. Now to get some more weathering on it by using the sh*t out of it🙃 This is the Guarder finish that comes as stock. Guarder calls it "P-process" but I've read that its some form of QPQ finish. It's a flat black/dark grey and the texture feels almost parkerized. If there's any metal experts out there please educate us on what this finish is. Below is an RS example of a heavily worn police trade in gen 3. The light grey hue is more from the reflection at certain angles On a side note, a company called RST does produce a true-to-spec tenifer finished steel slide for Marui G19's (seen below) but for the price (£100 vs £1,000) I don't think you can really do better than Guarder..

    What have you made?

Raid modded my Helikon BDU shirt. Wrist adjuster and chest pocket buttons replaced with velcro. Lower pockets removed and large loop velcro patches added. These were then attached to the upper arms. Also bar tacked over a small rip. Quite a productive afternoon given how bleedin’ hot it was! 39. Nice idea , until you remember you can only play once a mth AND most of your Airsoft guns will go totally tits up if you don’t wrap them in 18ft of bubble wrap to play ! 🤦‍♂️ Doh ! say’la’vie 🤣🤣

  40. As i mentioned in the other thread for a new gun i'd just send it back, theres nothing in that picture that looks out of place but i suspect the problem is internal with arm-piston interface. Either the ridge on the piston is worn/broken, the the arm is worn/broken, or there's just not the right angle/fit between them thats letting it ride over rather than lock into place.
    1 point
  41. that's your sear engagement surface, the lower part in that window is the trigger side, while the upper part is part of the assembly that holds the bolt in place. when the bolt is cocked the action of holding the piston back under spring pressure should push the upper part down until it's stopped by the lower part, pulling the trigger moves the lower part out of the way allowing it to drop firing the gun. the reason there's a window there is so you can visibly see when adjusting the trigger pull what's going on, eg how long or short a pull is required to trip the sear. it's possible to have the overlap set so light the mildest jolt could make it trip, but it looks more than enough there. i suspect your problem is more on the upper side, where the upper assembly has a hinged arm that catches on the back end of the piston.
