  1. Not really the creative type... But I made this for the boy: Gave it 6 coats of clear coat so it is still pretty shiny even now, nearly 3 years later. Does the guitar ever get played? Does it fuck.

  2. Crapola indoor photo but this is the kit as it stands, will get some decent outdoor photos soon. -Montane terra shirt (This is the mutts). -Spiritus MK5 - Skinny straps + 556 insert. -Brittac / Flimmuur LW shooters belt. -Safariland 7378. -Esstac Kywi mounted with onewrap. -Revolution race outdoor jeans. -Solomon quest boots. I like to keep it fairly light, the only thing I add is a lucozade and some bangs on the MK5 with some rubber bands.

  3. Thought it was probably worth a shout out to the guys running Red Alert Newbury. Down there last Sunday and had an absolute blast. Great marshalling team who were not only actively keeping an eye on things but plenty in number. Chrono guys actually understand joules and are strict when it comes to questionable or borderline pews. Didn’t have any issues with cheaters, didn’t get hosed and I had another awesome day of play. I wilted as the day went on and called it quits at about 4 - it was just too hot! almost forgot, Chili con carne for lunch was delicious! Top marks

  6. So I thought it might be nice to start this thread as a nice place to share what else you all like to make when getting creative... So I'll start it off.. i have many other hobbies, one of which is wood turning. So today I made my first inlaid bentwood ring on my lathe. Made from zebrano negro with a pyrite 'fools gold' inlay. It's far from perfect but have learned alot from this first one. Will only get better.

  8. Nah, QC springs, rotary hops and such - they seem more like whoever's OEMing the low end Specna Arms this month. Quite a strong value proposition. But they don't increase in value after you've run the batteries down.

  10. LOL Have you seen the matchingly inflated TM pistol price from the same seller? Obviously a case of the sellers mrs telling him to get rid of some gear, he doesn’t want to, but can prove to SWMBO that they are advertised !! 😂 (at a price no cnut will pay - so they are staying with him) 😉

  22. All joints soldered and shined 😎 We did stick some pads made of sheet class O insulation on the contact points and along the runners at the bottom. This copper fixtures and furniture thing is something I might do when I retire and have nothing to do LOL. One customer did offer me £200 to make one for her daughter - but it took most of the day plus the copper so worth about 3 times that whilst I'm still working properly.

  23. That's nice 😊 At today's prices that would work out a very expensive guitar stand lol. Did you solder the fittings cause it's very neat if you did? It's well thought out and different 👍 I think I might have put some 15mm lagging on the pressure points though. It's not really a prob though cause it's a bass guitar. 🤮🤮. Lol 🤣 Regards

  29. I think that's the thing though, the "proper" RS brands have better consistency of quality control, the repro gear is good enough and not so expensive you cry if it falls apart on you. I still have my rather old WAS 901 (the original single piece one, not the split front) and it's absolutely fine. That said, all the big bits of WAS stuff I've had I bought second hand so a lot less than retail price!

  31. Experience - when I first started playing everyone was a WAS fanboy. I used a fair bit of their kit and it just doesn't cut the mustard (literally some bits the stitching fell apart in a matter of weeks - lemon, possibly) compared to other brands and "knock off's" for instance anything made by TMC is a fairly good trade off between repro and RS, same with Crye combat clothing - JK army do a pretty good job (all personal opinion obviously)

    Tell Us a Gag. Please!

So it was Mrs shamals girlie weekend last week and I was feeling neglected. I had £25 pounds save up so took myself off to Pompey docks and hired a lady of the night( I say night but it was about 6.30pm because it's cheaper before 9pm. Rush hour) And I know £25 is a lot but it's only once a year. Anywho we do the business and afterwards the cheeky mare says "You've not got a very big organ have you" to which I reply " yeah well I've never had to play in a fuckin' Cathedral before!" "Fair enough" she says and gives me a fiver back. P.s none of above is true. Purely to personalize the gag.😂😂 Qué Mr Tackle.....lol

  41. After selling off all my MWS’ uppers / lowers / projects I’m now down to one rifle and a bunch a spares…needs a PDW buffer tube if they exist. TM 17’ & G&P 40 rounder for scale, she’s smoll. Short inner barrel barely effects range or power output. Can edit for parts list if anybody actually cares 🙃

  42. Buy yourself a chrono. One of the most underrated pieces of kit for an airsofter to own is their own chrono so they can test things like this at home, especially for HPA users and people who tech their own guns. As you don't have one, what I'd say is set it to about 60psi and take it to the range early on the day, before chronos are set up. Get the hop dialled in, then once it's dialled in and shooting well, take it to chrono and see where it's shooting at. If it's super below 1.1J, adjust the reg a little, but if it's close to a joule I'd say leave it until you have your own chrono and can take as much time as you want fine tuning the reg and FCU, which you will want to do as you'll want to set the dwell and the psi properly to make it as consistent as possible. If you want to fine tune it, you could ask the staff if you can borrow a chrono and sit the first game out, but I wouldn't pester the staff before the games as they'll have their hands full chronoing everyone else. I have my own chrono so I usually take my chrono up to the range, get my m21 set for 1.1J on the money, adjust my scope, make sure the hop is right etc, then I go to chrono for the site once I've done all my own setup with my own chrono.

  49. Sounds like GearGrindr. Nope, I pay to go to an airsoft site to play airsoft, not to talk about playing airsoft. I can do that here free and without travelling. Still, I am grateful for their honesty that the actual play (if any breaks out) will be a completely chaotic whangfest.
