  1. Finally got round to picking up a Chicom chest rig for a merc/generic bad guy loadout I'm slowly putting together. £13 well spent and from order to delivery in under 24 hours. Fair play flecktarn.co.uk

  2. Thank you for the update, while I appreciate the lead time on getting the custom parts in, belt buckles etc, reading between the lines it sounds like poor organisational skills from whoevers in charge, anticipating your logistic needs is paramount, & yes not always easy but this issue hasn't come about overnight, nor can brexit be blamed, it's been talked about for a long time, that tells me that the demand is there. & surely if the main issue being blamed is the manufacture & supply of the parts such as buckles, the answer would be to find an alternative supplier even if it means modifying the design slightly, rather that than keep pissing off (& losing) customers & what amounts to punishing your staff for management failings. IMHO 🤔

  3. As of just recently, all of us staff at FRV have been put on a Zero Hour Contract (because of a 'lack of work'), so good luck getting your orders any time soon, guys and girls. The main problem that stemmed with you guys getting your belts quickly was a complete lack of buckles - The lead time on them was ridiculous (something like 16 weeks), as supplies of said buckles are usually made to order, and with Covid, supplies have been limited in that regard. It doesn't help that they only employed around 10 staff to have all the work done. Doesn't help you guys get your orders, but though I'd try to shed at least some light onto what's happening over there.

  6. OK, just fitted my new madbull rail on my mws. Frankly buying stuff for my pew has been a panacea for me these past 12 months. Don't regret a single penny. Internally it's all stock, I have a Magpul UBR (I took the little compartment out as I love the skeletonised look), rs Eotech xps2, rs Surefire M900a, an angry gun tracer unit and a Ferro Slingster.

  10. Spicy take time. Plate carriers look stupid on larger individuals. I'm not just talking about carrying a bunch of extra pounds, I mean for big and tall people. I've got a carrier that I want to use with my normal rifles when I'm not sniping, but every time I put it on I think it looks comically small on my 6'5, heavy-set frame. This year I'm going to put together a CQB / speedy-aggressive / breacher loadout to go with a future MWS purchase (and also to use with my AK, but mags are nowhere to be found ). A bit of a change of pace from being a bush monster, but I want to diversify my loadout choices!

Also remember to get stuck in, many new players join and take it slow and steady being too cautious about being shot. I think most people agree that the first game of the day is always a bit on your tip toes because you can't remember if it hurts or not but once you get hit for the first time in the day you have nothing to worry about. Also remember that the rental guns are not going to be perfect but will be good enough to hit anyone on the site. Lastly nothing is a silly idea if it works, sometimes sprinting into no man's land wins you the game

  12. Yeah really it depends on whether you've got a tight bore barrel on there. Have you upgraded the hop unit and bucking? What sort of rate of fire is it getting, I would have to factor in the price of a new motor probably. And definitely need to buy a couple of cans of paint, looks like someone has scribbled on it, needs a touch-up £100 all in? 😄😁😉 that's a really cool thing, hope you get a good price

    THE TM MWS thread

I think that, or any barrel shim set should solve the issue. I have a G&P MK18 rail that I haven't fitted yet, but the bloke I bought it from was kind enough to include a few shims.

  14. So now that they've made a civilian version, hopefully they'll do an airsoft version next. After the Steyr scout and Keltec RDB I'm hopeful for more niche and unusual guns to come out in future. https://www.springfield-armory.com/hellion-series/hellion-rifles/

  15. There's a fella at work who claims his sportster is 100hp from a stage 3. I think it's total bollocks. Hated the sportster I had briefly with a passion but it was so cheap it needed buying. My dad has a 1979 Guzzi t3 and it's miles ahead in every way of his 90s dyna that he had before. So was my california of similar age to the dyna. Not a harley hater but I don't see the appeal.

  16. @Speedbird_666 @PopRocket123 Anyone but Ares or VFC. Those two can go to hell at this point. I’d love a bit more reliability at a slightly higher price than a shit halo model that won’t get ever repeated and will go down in history as one of NegativeAirsoft’s “shit trophies” 😅

  18. Not necessarily, I turned up at a site years ago, & a team turned up, teens & early twenties, total shower of shit bar one, he claimed to have previously been TA & still had access to berets & cap badges, so in his infinite wisdom thought would mark them out as a team if they all wore them. Thing is, it was my regiments beret & badge, I worked hard for mine & I'd had a couple of mates die wearing theirs, so seeing a bunch of long haired wankers make absolute cnuts of themselves in them really fucked me off, & I told them so🤬. While that situation is rare, my experience shows it can happen, so I'd always tell people in threads like this, be careful, act with respect & if in doubt, don't do it.

Afraid your asking an unanswerable question , your want an opinion on a very personal choice , it’s like “what am best gun ?” One players ‘perfect’ brand of BB is the next players ‘perfect’ example of a pile of shit ! Ultimately your going to need to see if the site your playing at has any restrictions on ammo(bio or non-bio to be used , only use the ammo they sell , etc)and then buy some and give it a go . Obviously your NOT going to buy a bottle of 10,000 bright yellow no name .12’s for £6 from Fleabay , just buy a bottle or bag of a branded name and see how they perform in your guns .

check with the site you intend to play at a lot of sites have there own supply and may have restriction on bio or not also quiet a few paces ban blasters for shattering. weight wise 0.25 for pistols and .28 for AEGs but that depends on the gun some AEGs will be happier with lighter BBs.

    Samoon delivery to UK

As Enid said, it's my money, and it's my interest in history and militaria that has the priority here; Airsoft is an interesting hobby, but I'm mostly interested in collecting displayable pieces that I also have a reasonable use for. And you're correct, a UKARA defence, my bad. Thank you to everyone that let me know about issues with Samoon and COVID atm, I didn't see that anywhere on their website, so either I'm a blind person or they're not being particularly overt about the fact. I will add I have 0 interest in AEGs; I'd like my toys to look, feel and sound a little less like a... toy. I'm an adult baby with distinguished taste.

Welcome to the money pit that is airsoft. I swear a crack habit would be cheaper. I can't really recommend any sites as you're a bit far away from me, but as others have posted, don't be afraid to rock up on your lonesome as the majority of airsofters are a friendly bunch and will be happy to show off their kit. Also I recommend renting for your first few games as it'll help you work out what suits your style of play. You don't want to shell out a large sum if money on a gun or other gear only to find out you don't get on with it (eg I prefer SMGs and carbines over full size rifles)

  32. You are a fellow of taste and refinement. As a Guzzi rider myself, I vastly prefer them. The Spadas, Le Mans, Calis and various V models that I have ridden have all been marvellous. The T3 is a particular favourite if mine. In another world to Milwaukee's offerings. 100bhp sporty... pfffft!

  35. Being a Ghk fanboy, I can confirm that Samoon won’t send RIF’s, mags or barrels to the uk. Internal parts and accessories should be ok Gbbr’s are a bit of a faff for your first pewpew My M4 is in hibernation until warmer weather arrives, as it’s USELESS during the current ambient temps Get yourself a nice TM recoil if you want something useable , that will save you tears and will be useable all year round, as a suggestion! I use a TM recoil for that reason during colder months Also the low ammo count mags will ruin your play if you are just starting off Its just a suggestion, it’s your money, spunk it how you will 😂 Bit if you must, you must They are awesome to shoot 😁👍

  40. generally 40mm ain't gonna be too much of an effect volume wise, especially as a proportion of the total length we're dealing with here. but if it makes it easier to source then defo a bonus. the real challenge is gonna be getting the main system sufficiently consistent (air seal etc) to really take advantage of a good ammo/barrel combo.

    Samoon delivery to UK

Most overseas sites do not ask for a UKARA number because it is the buyers responsibility to make sure that what they import is within UK law and they meet the requirements for importing a restricted product. IE, if there is no UKARA field, I just put it as part of the address. So if you order from any old site and you do not put your UKARA in the address field or on a custom field provided, then it is not their fault that you don't receive it. The same as any restricted item.

  42. Should be fine from an reputable shop, if it's done by an experienced tech rather than some trainee, and if they've done loads of the same upgrades before, and if the wholesaler hasn't changed the spec on the base toy, and if the OEM hasn't changed their quality control, and if they're able to get the usual parts, and if the spec on those parts hasn't changed, and if those parts don't have defects, and if everything goes together smoothly, and if they actually test if, and if they take it apart to remedy any issues after they test it, and if they have the parts and ability to do so, and if they repeat that process until everything works as intended, I don't see what the problem could be.

  44. I agree that the value of someones time to upgrade their own gun is irrelevant once the time comes to sell it on. However, assuming that a DCS Tier 3 upgrade is great because it changes everything in the gun is folly. There is a reason why every time someone comes on this forum and says "I've just bought this what upgrades does it need" the response is almost always "use it first and see what it needs". Changing everything just for the sake of saying it's an upgrade is NOT the same as blueprinting an engine, regardless of what the person trying to charge £1000 to upgrade a £200 gun might tell you. As fr the TL:DR, I present option 3 - buy the gun off the shelf and do the upgrades yourself.

  45. Harley were fined bigly for flogging so many not-road-legal tuning kits for their potato bikes that it was clear that they were effectively viewed as necessary equipment by owners. There's a reasonable analogy there to the number of airsoft owners who ask "wut upgrayedds need b4 play?" while their new toy is still in transit to them. I've upgrayedded my toys for the personal pleasure of the process, not because I believe that it substantially increases my winr8. I realise that other opinions are available and that this explains why Tier 3 toys are offered for, and sometimes bought at, a significant premium over the stock examples. It does continue to baffle me though. I suspect this is a big factor. The thrill is more about the buy and unboxing than the ownership or play experience. The bigger the number, the bigger the buzz. #NotAllBigSpenders, obviously.

  48. New shooters belt from C2R. This is one solid belt! Yes they're expensive and probably OTT for airsoft (that's not a thing though, right?) but I'm massively impressed with it. Impeccable quality, great design and very low profile. Service was fast too. The inclusion of a sticker and card holder in MC Black was a nice touch.
