Another thoroughly enjoyable weekend from Sierra Bravo airsoft. Ran around like a loon for two days. Dressed like a PAVN officer. Lost weight. Had fun. Drank enough for five or six sensible men over 48 hours. Burned through a muchly amount of BBs. Took about 15 minutes to set up a shot that took out my son and a very close mate, whilst accompanied by close mate's son. My back told me that support gunner role is contingent on fitness yet again. All very satisfying. Will do again. The black pyjamas always win. Go home Yankee! Dụ bạn yankee4 points -

Ahoy, and welcome back. I've only been playing for 4 years (less the written-off one), but the good new is that there are some constants: 1) Physics still works on rules rather than belief and 2) No airsofter believes that I don't think there's been any huge improvements in boltie tech recently, it's more about heavy, consistent BBs, and maybe a decent hop unit - although a TDC mod costs pennies. There's maybe a higher volume of fire being spammed around - this is actually an issue at my smallish local site - but generally most of it is still missing. Find a decent site with non-whanger players and it's still a fun day out playing dress up with toy guns.2 points

As the title says , now in absolutely no way shape or form is this a pop at the seller , it’s just simply a personal thought on said items for sale , but this has to be one of the most batshit crazy things I have ever seen ! A belt mountable retention holster for an M4 ? It’s insane ! 🤦♂️ and I love it !🤣🤣🤣🤣1 point -

Missfeding 3rnd burst
Pewpewpetie reacted to Davegolf for a topic
If you do a 3rd burst fail, then wiggle the mag and listen carefully can you hear the BBs move up? Sometimes the mag isn’t aligned right and so BBs don’t flow too well, otherwise you may want to change your mag springs for stronger ones, or just get different mags. You can check the bucking is not an issue, if you pop a single BB in it should sit in the lips of the bucking, and a very small nudge should make it fall through the lips, if it takes lots of effort that is not good. The other potential is that at 24rps or whatever your firing at, the nozzle may not be staying ‘back’ long enough for a BB to get in front of it, this is normally resolved by a tappet delay chip.1 point -

After my items finally turned up from Poland (Sat for over a month with Border Farce) WE AK74 with some nice patches.... (Not sure about the Eotech on it, may run it just with iron sights) Also had the ra-tech parts sat on my desk waiting for this beasty to turn up...will run it stock to get a feel for it, then put the upgrades in.1 point -

Yup, that looks new. I haven't taken the order any further though to see if they change their mind later. At our risk is a peculiar contractual term, that will take some wrangling to sort out. The thing is, I do trust TaiwanGun (and GunFire) to label things properly, and write a UKARA number on it prominently, as opposed to random sellers from the mysterious Orient.1 point

I reported it as a misdeclaration issue as that seems most likely. If the retailer wanted to dispute that, then they should have responded to my e-mails and/or the PayPal case. As an importer/buyer/consignee it's my responsibility to ensure I am entitled to import the goods - I am. The exporter/seller/consignor contracted their carrier to deliver the goods to my door, essentially under Incoterms 2020 DAP. Therefore their responsibility for the goods ends when I take delivery of them at that point.1 point -

as a general rule the best thing to do for reliability for most airsoft guns is not mess with it. don't think i've ever seen a failure from a truly stock gun, even the "stock" guns i've seen fail are normally the result of an fps downgrade done very shoddily by a retailer (either a really weak spring or the dreaded cylinder hole) yes trigger contacts will be an issue, how long depends on what type of battery your running but a higher powered lipo will burn them out faster, lighter powered batteries you could use it for years and only need the occasional scrape to get the carbon off. i'm not that familiar with aug's (so owners can chime in if i've got this wrong) but you should be dealing with a standard v3 box with wacky trigger externals. the internal contacts for semi will be the ones likely to burn out but *should* be standard components, the externals contacts will be unique although if it is based on the jg then there's probably spares in the wild somewhere. a mosfet is a possibility, and despite the weird trigger external mosfets (eg the gate nano/warfet etc) can be wired in, although wether you want to do that depends on how happy you are weilding a soldering iron. not sure on internal mosfets but that's a bit beyond what you'd be wanting to look at for the time being anyway. otherwise a v3 box is a v3 box and will take your standard gearbox internals no fuss. the hop unit being plastic isn't necessarily bad in and of itself, generally with hop units it's quality and tolerancing trump the given materials. tbh having said all that what i'd seriously suggest you do is this: clean the barrel (bit of microfibre on a plastic cleaning rod) and get in the habit of keeping it clean give it good food don't take it apart don't change or add any bits just play with it as-is once you've gotten established and grabbed yourself another pew then you can start thinking about tinkering. it's not the best idea to go messing around when you don't have a backup and trust me the walk of shame with a broken pew gets old the tenth time you've done it. plus once you've played a bit you'll have a better idea as to what direction you want to take your tinkering in depending on how you naturally end up playing.1 point -

There are belt mounted shotgun butt holsters designed for 8lb guns. They do work. They shouldn't mind, and I expect that clay shooters are a bit less active than airsofters. https://amspro.com/product/long-gun-holster/1 point -

Some shitty little weasel from UPS rang me once, and asked what UKARA meant in my address. He explained, as though conversing with a re-tread, that their driver had become confused by the 'UKARA bit of the address.' If my parcel did not arrive, 'it was down to incorrect addressing.' I enquired why UPS seemed to have a monopoly on UKARA imports if the monkeys in the office were unaware what the UKARA number signified. A few minutes of back and forth ego fuelled bullshit ensued from said over empowered millennial followed by a declaration that the UKARA number was superfluous, 'and should be ignored and henceforth never added to an address ever again, 'if I expected the parcel to be delivered.' ' UPS then, having the address info as requested, delivered the parcel a few doors down. Since the parcel was being delivered to my work address, and I was exporting gear to oil drilling exploration sites in the middle of nowhere in North Africa, I was unimpressed. Pre-2012 Libyan customs made the UK look Neanderthal... I don't think it's got much better TBH.1 point -
For possible future purchases from afar, put your UKARA number in the address field. That way its definitely going to be on there.1 point

Lol, I clip keys on my belt & they start to drag, if I tried it with an m4 I'd get done for offending public decency. Although I could see that working on the front of a chest rig or pc. Looking at it does make me want to get some kydex & start to experiment with what I can mount on my rigs. Pukka pie holster anyone ? 🐷1 point -

I actually quite like the P90, however every incarnation always had the hi-cap poor feed problem which you had to thump the mag to get it to feed again. Mid-caps are a solution but they are like 2 and half times bigger than a M4 mag, carry 5 or 10 of those around and you look like a right knob, in my case even a bigger knob. Novritsch perhaps should have gone all out and tried to produce a hi-cap mag which worked..1 point -

I'm with @Druid799 on this, I've used a number of UK Airsoft retailers over the years, & more often than not they've been piss poor, everything from non existent stock, what they have got is often priced above RRP, & don't get me started on the shit eating attitude towards customers that many of them seem to have, you end up ready to slap some manners in to these twàts. I'm not a sheep, I have a bad experience, whether it's a site or a shop, you'll not get a second chance. so then my my hard earned goes elsewhere, if that means out of the UK, so be it.1 point -

Camp Sparta Site Review
EvilMonkee reacted to Captain Darling for a topic
Bit of a necropost here, but an update nevertheless. I went to this site last Sunday, and I’m sad to say all of the above review is still the case. But now with added bad airsoft bingo: Wall to wall unchecked HPA wankers Hot guns Non hit taking Overkill Poorly executed medic rules I’m being harsh, and I think there’s more going on with the site than I understand. Everybody was friendly enough, but nobody in charge seemed to have a grip of what was going on. I was chatting with a lovely lad who had been allowed to use his hi cap fed Barrett 50 cal HPA, firing .43’s as a semi auto DMR on fuck knows what silly FPS. He didn’t carry a secondary, just grenades. It’s really put me off airsoft - 1/2 the site were using wanker HPA guns, I suspect mainly to circumvent the single shot only rule by feathering out 5 shot taps. However some were in my opinion taking advantage of the extremely weak chrono policy on site, where far too much trust was placed on players to say what weight ammo they were using. No tourney locks, no random chronos on .20’s. In my option having 40 odd players on HPA, poorly policed, is a recipe for a day of toxic airsoft. If every site was run like this I honestly would just quit, it was that unnecessarily shit. From chatting with other players, I suspect that it’s just how things roll there, and to be competitive the way to play is rock up with a HPA rig running 1.7 J, spam the trigger and only expect to have your hit taken on the 4th or 5th bb. Toxic airsoft, but if you go there knowing that and are prepared to play on those terms, it’s probably loads of fun for those in the know. As I said, the others players, site owner and ‘marshalls’ were warm friendly people who were up for a fun day, but ultimately the place was out of control.1 point
