  2. I quickly put my setup together on a spare set of goggles (before I cut up my 'good' set). I'll wire in a switch at some point, but initial results in testing so far are promising. I will definitely use Sugru to mount it to cut down on noise/vibration a little as my Peltors tend to exacerbate things. 2200mAh (probably ~1800mAh 'real world') should give me way more than a game day's worth of continuous use.

    THE TM MWS thread

People presenting second hand information with a definitive result just grind my gears. The fella initially asking followed up with 'Will this happen?' and the chap answering literally ignored the question and just said toss it. No reason, no further explanation, no break down of the parts being used alongside the spacer. Nope, the answer to the question will this happen to me wassss... toss it. Superb, I don't know who's more daft of the pair. The one asking the questions and taking the first answer he got at face value, or the clown spouting second hand garbage (the answer is both).

  9. This is what I’m thinking about doing in my skull mask if I don’t use my Xfog for it, make the mask self contained fan either side with a battery in the middle and a on/off switch on one side ( @Speedbird_666 sorry for nicking your image to show my idea as I’m not yet at the stage with my skull mask )

    Sr25 Hop

Yes, in my AK when I installed the Combat Union hop. The stock E&L nozzle was too fat and it would not go into battery (read into the hop rubber to create air seal). The CU chamber comes with its own nozzle though so it was just a matter of replacing the stock one. Since it's an aluminium nozzle you could carefully measure the inner diametre of the hop unit and turn it down to spec, you just need a drill/dremel, some really fine sandpaper and calipers. Your best bet, imo, is to find someone with a bunch of spare nozzles and try them individually on your setup.

  14. Well it's was like Christmas yesterday! My Primary Airsoft Hi Capa / MP5 adapter and Xcortech Tracer unit arrived. Plus an extra stubby 65 round MP5 mag courtesy of @EDcase. Had a play but then my feeding nozzle broke so nipping over to Hi Capa Hub shortly to get an uprated one.

    Sr25 Hop

I believe I know what the issue is, I think the nozzle is too wide for the hop(even the stock NOZZLE) . it's like it's catching where the nozzle tappers, so it can't seal properly and when firing, the nozzle isn't making the full travel into the hop and keeps moving the hop unit causing the magazine to rattle when shooting. Has anyone else encountered this?

  16. I'm trying to work out a way to keep the pressure up. If i put the fan exhaust next to the goggles, or run a very short tube, its like a leaf blower, but when its tubed up the pressure drops to the equivalent of a person exhaling, which to this point has been enough. If i tape the box up, theres not enough airflow coming in for the fan to work. So thats my next thing to tinker with. Or try with 2 smaller fans in a series circuit, but last time i ran out of time, tubing and patience

  17. Yeah, definitely chrono with your chosen weight before anything. I know my T10 is/was coming in around 2.1J on 0.45s last time I checked it at home, but last time I played it was doing 420ish on a 0.2, so there's definitely room for some creeping. In other news, I ran my T11 at the last game after a rebuild. (tried one of the modify x range buckings with a modify barrel but it was running like trash) I put in the previous Lambda 6.05 barrel with a 70° maple leaf MR bucking and ran it all day without problem; didn't set the hop up beyond a quick couple minutes but I was reaching out to 92m consistently so I figured that'd do! 😂

  18. So what I did here is I dug out two M-ETAL Suppressors, of which I have many as it the type I prefer, that had some really bad scratching after the storage box with them and a lot of other parts in it fell. They were a 190x35mm and a 100x35mm. Using two component epoxy and an aluminium tube from an old vacuum cleaner, I made a crude homemade 290x35mm suppressor for my WE-Tech HK416 DMR. I couldn't find a good way to touch up the scratches so I decided to buy a black suppressor cover - except they were sold out everywhere.... So I made my own. Again. Using black nylon from a broken guitar case, some velcro straps and some general packing foam, I again made a crude homemade version on my mother's old sewing machine.

    Jg Mp5a3k

As for the battery i suppose i could run an MP5K battery and forego the mock bolt. Or see if theres a chance a battery can go into the MP5K grip.. though its not gonna be a very big battery..

    Jg Mp5a3k

What I had in mind was using the upper part from the MP5K and possibly 3D printing an extension which makes use of the bodypins so it doesnt immediately fall apart. I already commited to doing this build as i have an MP5A3. I will have to see how it goes once i find and acquire an MP5K. It kinda baffled me at first when i realised that the MP5K from this game... just isnt an MP5K

  22. Nice fit. I've never been quite sure what to do with a top fan. My solutions blow inwards from the side and across the lens. On top, I'd probably try it blowing upwards rather than shoving hot sweaty brow-air back down, but I'd be prepared to flip it over if that doesn't work out.

  25. Well, it was more than I was planning to spend on new guns this summer, but when my offer of just over 700 quid was accepted for a pair of Real Sword Type 97s (one full size and one 97B) I had to take it. Seller was getting appraisals for them separately on a forum so I went ahead and made a bit of a lowball offer, and it was accepted. So theres that...

  29. Ran the MWS for the first time today. I’m sold. Planned to run the mws until lunch time then swap to my aeg for the afternoon to save weight/wear less kit. Didn’t happen, enjoyed it too much. As it was a cqb/woodland mix I didn’t miss the mid caps at all. may be done with hpa but will wait until winter to decide

Got the Angry Gun suppressor on, together with the Magpul CTR stock and MOE+ grip, and mounted the Vortex Crossfire just to see what it looks like. MK18 RIS II rail arrived today, as have a Laylax wrench, a PTS adapter ring and a couple of spare TM hop rubbers. A new trigger guard and cheek riser are inbound and I'm waiting to get either a BCM Gunfighter or Magpul RVG foregrip, some new BUIS and maybe a PEQ and weapon light, then I'll start on the final version...until the HAO SMR arrives 😳

  33. that'd be the first place i'd look. could be a rougher finish/size difference making it bind up in the mag a bit more. used to have no end of trouble with feeding until realising the problem was the ammo, switched to geoffs and never had a problem since. whilst this can be done, it's oh so very easy to fuck it up and end up with a rough/poorly sealing surface on the feedlip. i prefer just changing rubbers to something like the PDI W-hold with standard nub, not as good as the maple leaf for the heavy stuff but can handle up to the .32g range well enough.

I recommend going back to read my post very carefully, especially the last three lines. I find it rather fun that most "slagging" comments come from people who most likely have never even been in the same postcode as the item they're shitting on, which is most likely your case since all you came up with was "hehe me clever, me post negative airsoft, me win" without giving any actual information or feedback on your experience with the actual hop chamber. I'll say it once again. If you favour performance over anything else, then Maxx is the way to go. If you are happy with the infamous "just as good", then get a ZCI. I had ZCI units in my M4s, then one day I bought a Maxx to try out, the difference is night and day, literally. I had to overhop to reach 60 metres with the ZCI, whereas with the Maxx I hit 70 metres (both measures taken with this so I think they're pretty accurate), same gun, same spring, same nozzle, same barrel and hop rubber. Was it worth? To me, absolutely, all I cared about was raw performance and I didn't mind filing down the feed tube (which, btw, wasn't an issue with other magazines I tried, but mine are the ones that give me the best performance in terms of feeding so the choice was obvious). Fuck me I even had less power loss with hop applied. Also ain't it funny when Luke slags on internal mosfets but then ends up praising Perun internal mosfets? Or starts fitting a crapton of Asters? Just let that sink in for a minute Oh, almost forgot, I did actually comment on Luke's facebook post about Maxx units. Go find it

  38. Hello all you fine lads and ladies. (If I may be so self indulgent to put this message here and call my humble site reviews "News".) Last week was my 4th anniversary starting Airsoft. 6 months after that I started doing the site reviews. It's been a wild ride as much as one can be just writing walls of indecipherable text with questionable grammar. I have had some good times visiting so many different sites. I believe I have now visited 42 sites in the South East (Only one of which I haven't yet posted a review on as I would like to revisit). I have received many thanks for the reviews and plaudits on the forum as well as direct criticisms in the form of PM's and Emails from site regulars and owners. I have been told on multiple occasions how aware sites are about the reviews and are all quaking in their boots for when I make my visit ;). I have been invited to new sites multiple times for my feedback on how to improve the gaming experience. I was also approached by a large online Airsoft news site to write reviews for them on the regular (Sadly they never got back to me after I said I would love to write for them, but only on the proviso that I could still post them on AFUK and that I wouldn't let anyone edit or tone down my honest opinions). So you are probably wondering why I am making this post! It's time to bring the reviews to a close... Sort of. As fun as it is visiting lots of different sites, @Albiscuit and myself will start prioritising revisiting sites that we have loved to have some good game days under our belt. Whilst I am not in it for the fame, women or backhanders, I have seen the readership, views and feedback getting less and less prevalent over time. Due to that I am finding it harder to start typing out walls of texts until I get so bored I have to force myself to do it! There are also frankly very few sites left to visit that you can say are actually in the South East. Compound that with the fact I don't drive, many of the ones left are relatively inaccessible to me without a lift. Basically, I am a scrub and I want to start going to a small number of sites more regularly, get good at layouts and get to know some regulars and maybe join a loose set of players in a "Team" or something equally cringe. I will also be taking some time out down in Devon and Cornwall for personal reasons starting from August ending in October. I may play a couple of times down there as well. But it's not set in stone... This doesn't mean there wont be anymore new reviews (Watch out for ZMart, Incursion tunnels and Tower Airsoft coming up) but I will be writing them sporadically, to the point I may just stop. I really appreciate all of the support you guys have given me, even though many of you don't live in the SE! Special thanks goes to my initial Battlebuddy who helped me get to places and @Albiscuitpicking up where he left off. Without you I would never of got to see so many of these places! If there are any sites you haven't seen a review of and would like me or someone else to review at some point please comment. Below are a list of sites that are still yet to be visited. ZMart Incursion Tunnels South Coast CQB Finmere Airsoft Special OPs Airsoft Apocalypse Paintball centre RIFT Com 2/3 Skirmish Wycombe Quex Airsoft Mayhem South East Canterbury and Longfield Wonky Donkey Badlands Airsoft UCAP Portsmouth Worthing Airsoft Battle Sector X DTW Airsoft Raw War Gunman Camp Alpha Campaign Airsoft Camouflage Airsoft Cheers all!

  39. My latest one sustained 2 weeks ago. 1st game back after 15 months of enduring lockdown restrictions. 1st game of the day. Pinned down behind cover trying to fight my way out, finally someone threads a bb into a gap and I call hit. Go to stand up and boom ouch. What the. Loom down expecting to find a tag round or flash bang etc.nope.. Something hooked the pin on my dynatex timed bfg. As I stood up it pulled it just enough to release the spoon but not pull the pin clear. 5 seconds later bang. No big deal I'm already dead. The sting is probably just shock. Lunch time comes and I check. Now to clarify I wear my bfg in a her on my belt. The bfg didn't just go bang though. It burnt a small hole in my ubacs, then appears to have set light briefly to my base layer t-shirt that definitely wasn't 'under armour. That combined with the grenade has burnt a patch of skin about 10cm long and 5cm wide to a crisp. Can anyone smell bacon. Cleaned the area up and 2 weeks on its healing slowly. Can see the main burn area has bit of the nylon fabric caught in the scab. But figure chick's dig scars right
