  3. I recently took up model painting and came across Biostrip which you can freely get from Element Games for around £10-£18 (tub size dependant). I haven't tested it on anything other than plastic models and Acrylic paints but it doesnt damage the models, works prety fast and is really easy to use. Worth a punt maybe as it's relatively harmless to use compared to some other stuff people may suggest.

    T4E marker’s legal

I had a quick word with him and he said "Speak to a real live solicitor, now". Well, maybe tomorrow. @Tommikkahas covered everything I know and more: and paintballers are likely to be more helpful here. Personally, I can't see how they'd be Section 5s rather than air guns (which as m'lurned colleague has said need a licence in Scotland). Either way, this has got nothing to do with airsoft, and the 2.5J limit. But we've seen examples of Plod mis-charging when they see something vaguely assault-toy related, including changing the charges later when they realise that they've screwed up. Because of course, they were never wrong to swoop and seize, they just need to figure out what you're guilty of. Wild guess, but did they happen to find some rubber balls with the T4Es?

  7. These are not airsoft pistols but paintball pistols 2.5 joules applies to airsoft guns, which must be designed to fire plastic pellets no larger than 8mm. The T4Es clearly don’t comply with that https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1968/27/section/57A?view=plain [F157AException for airsoft guns (1)An “airsoft gun” is not to be regarded as a firearm for the purposes of this Act. (2)An “airsoft gun” is a barrelled weapon of any description which— (a)is designed to discharge only a small plastic missile (whether or not it is also capable of discharging any other kind of missile), and (b)is not capable of discharging a missile (of any kind) with kinetic energy at the muzzle of the weapon that exceeds the permitted level. (3)“Small plastic missile” means a missile that— (a)is made wholly or partly from plastics, (b)is spherical, and (c)does not exceed 8 millimetres in diameter. (4)The permitted kinetic energy level is— (a)in the case of a weapon which is capable of discharging two or more missiles successively without repeated pressure on the trigger, 1.3 joules; (b)in any other case, 2.5 joules.] Before that exemption came in airsoft fines were treated as ‘low power air weapons’ (air guns) Paintball guns (including the T4E) remain legal under the Firearms act as ‘low power air weapons, and must be powered below 12 foot pounds (air rifles) or within 6 foot pounds air pistols) (exceeding those makes it a ‘dangerous air weapon’ and leads to section 5 territory) (You have pistols so 6 foot pounds would apply which is approx 8 joules) There is also case law (which established a little over 300fps as the velocity maximum for a paintball gun firing a ‘standard’ 0.68” paintball Paintball has an ‘advantage’ that the Firearms act refers to lethality and the Home Office have (to date) accepted the frangibility of paintballs. This is also aided by testing a few years back of a ‘new’ type of paintball Paintball guns in the UK are legally recognised by the Home Office provided they are used with either paintballs or First strikes (which is a shaped round of a half sphere paintball with a fin) (And not necessarily tested in the same manner but there are also ‘powder balls’ which would be frangible) Potential problems that you could have against you are the circumstances of how they came to the attention of the police (such as in public) and what you have them loaded with Solid balls have been sold in the UK, which are not legal to be fired. Rubber reballs have been sold for many years and there were also reball centres If you have any of these other balls then you could be facing problems and would need to rely on treating them as airguns If you live in Scotland then there is an air weapon certificate that’s required. (A mini licence). This does not / should not apply to paintball guns, but only if using frangible paintballs https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1969/47/made https://basc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2019/07/KNOW-YOUR-LAW-AIR-WEAPONS-2018.pdf The T4Es are legal …… but should be used with paintballs An option to consider is to buy UKPSF membership, but it could be too late to assist you https://ukpsf.com Get legal advice, and highlight the airweapon and paintball elements You can also pop over to here: https://p8ntballer-forums.com/threads/paintball-and-the-law.171875/

  12. Ran our first game at the Trenches we've been building for the last year the other weekend! The theme was Gallipoli - our fictionalised battle of 'Hellespont', so I was running shorts and Pith Helmet with my WW1 kit... (Yes I regretted the shorts) One of the best moment was being held hostage by an enemy officer... I'd been ordered to guard him, as we had taken him prisoner in a raid. However, during an attack I was too busy killing two of the attackers to see him draw his pistol, no one had disarmed him! He almost made it out of our trenches before anyone noticed, but someone managed to shoot him in the shoulder past me, giving me the chance to grab his pistol! I then proceded to kill a further two attackers with it! (Photo credits to Crafty Sniper Photography) (The full kit, had the tunic on in morning as it was quite chilly)

    T4E marker’s legal

I'm guessing your north of the border, I can't claim to know the legal fine print, but @Rogerborgshould be along shortly to enlighten us & hopefully shed a sympathetic insight in to your options. Although ultimately, if purchased in the UK from a reputable retailer, I would plead ignorance to the possibility of you even considering they could have exceeded legal limits, & the blame must surely rest with the retailer ?

    T4E marker’s legal

It was a blank firing gun i tried to buy that had a blocked barrel it just so happened it was “fully” blocked, (couldn't shoot anything but was front venting) so when they came to speak to me about it (being under the impression i had done nothing wrong) they saw what i had and took EVERYTHING maybe 30-40 diff airsoft/ paintball etc again they say the power limit is apparently 2.5jl for a single shot thats why i need proof that these are legal to own and legal to be sold These were never used in a crime never brandished in public they were in my bedroom closet

As you've already put landwarriors in the picture, I would recommend you screenshot as much info as you can from their website regarding these models, before they alter or delete & leave you with anything to show you bought legitimately & in good faith. Gotta ask, what brought you & your guns to the attention of the plod ?

  18. I am running four mags with my VFC 416a5 and it's just about enough in a skirmish but I still might need to hide behind a bush to reload my mags in game. I need another two to let me be a bit more trigger happy. But, the old rule of airsoft is that when you have the money and really really want something, it's out of stock everywhere.

I’ve not used a UV9R, but on the topic of signal strength it may or may not be ‘ficticous’ but certainly will be best case / maximum. On a practical basis for playing in the woods the lesser power limits of PMRs etc isn’t that much of a disadvantage against higher power licenced types of handset. Terrain is the killer of signals A stronger signal won’t get through a hill, but could do a bit better through the bushes We’ve used PMR and licenced systems to get the message across full sites when running events. For wider areas and passing hills etc we’ve relayed messages among the Marshalls etc However we’ve also preferred phones - that way we don’t need to penetrate the hill but just reach a mast, and also allows for direct ‘privacy’ without someone sneakily listening to a game admin PMR channel or just overhearing from every other marshal For headsets do ensure that the right headset compatibility is checked. Sometimes a common socket type is used but a manufacturer has their own little peculiarity We had an issue once with a games ‘faction command radios’ and teams own radios. My co-captain took the ‘command radio’ and the job of relaying messages - and then was out of contact from the faction leader all morning. After radio check he decided to plug our headset into the command radio - it plugged in but received nothing On discovery at lunch I educated him on headset ‘compatibility’ and took the command radio off him

No prob. The GM Pmags will work, you need to compare the upper profile of the mag (where the gas route is), youll see that the plastic top plate is too high, if you sand/machine/file this down to the same height as the TM mag youll find they work much better.

I've used the 9R's but not the 5's, so I'm at the other end of that comparison. They seem to work ok, usual deal with needing to program them, CHIRP works fine for doing so and saving the image for future use/programming multiple devices. In terms of power I'm lead to believe that any wattage ratings are entirely fictitious anyway, but they worked well enough for me in your standard woodland environment. Waterproofing... who knows? If that's an actual concern you'd probably as well putting your UV-5's in plastic bags and calling it a day. Point of note is that the accessories socket is different, being one of those motorola multi-pin styles, so you'd need to look at new headsets/mic interfaces, which might be a consideration.

How old/new is your gun? You won’t get pressure doing that. It’s a cupped seal, it expands to seal under pressure. Personally only used genuine and DP green seal with success. Remove the buffer and spring, lightly grease with moly.

Hmmm strange, I’ve had Gen 1, 2, 3 mags all with no issues! Perhaps I’m very lucky. I see quite a few complaints about ultra air, I think it’s pretty good! I’ve ran it down to 0 degrees in a stock MWS and it performed very well.

  29. Well what can I say, other than I'm bored? Haven't played since I headbutted a rock, but still need to shoot things. As do my boys. We'd been shooting in the garden, using tin cans, at ground level. I had an epiphany - I was teaching my boys to shoot people's feet! Useless. So I immediately went out and bought a load of garden canes. I then stuck them in the ground all over the (enclosed) garden. I topped them off with a cat food tin and voila - one course of fire created for pennies! Sod these electric target systems - it was an absolute blast and cheap as chips. You can do all sorts of drills, lay them out in any order you want. The only limit is your imagination. Why dafuq I never thought of it before is beyond me. As the boys improve, I'll start designating different targets as pistol and rifle, so they can transition between the two. By the time they can actually play, they're going to be awesome 😄 Anyway... if you haven't, I can highly recommend it and if you have, I'm open to any further ideas to make it even better.

    Novritsch SSQ22 GBBR

Rule of thumb is that you don't buy anything first gen. Let other people to buy it and later regret it because it turned out it's shit. Silverback MDR-X would be a prime example. And from youtube: "For anyone wondering, this is actually not a KC-02 rebrand but most likely a reworked version of A1A Raptor (which is based on KC-02 but is not the same). Out of the box the SSQ22 is definitely an upgrade compared to a stock KC-02 since it uses VSR buckings, VSR barrel with an improved TDC wheel and a piston that doesn't break during first game." So I was wrong it's not a KC02. Regardless I would never trust novri guns.

  32. And Specna, ASG*, Umarex, Evolution, Cybergun etc. don't do exactly the same thing? *Yes, I know ASG do make the Scorpion Evo in-house, but that's about it. I despise kickingtwat but I have to say that I appreciated his honesty in that Video. The gun has been crossed-off my 'to buy' list until I see independant (not shilled) evidence that his was a duffer and not representative of the entire product line.

  36. My first loadout! Only skirmished twice in my own kit so far, but I don't have any complaints (touch wood) Tried to build it without breaking the bank. Most of it is bargain basement stuff. Only things I really splashed on a bit was the goggles (Valken Thermal Goggles) which are honestly immense and don't fog up at all, even on Saturday when it was a warm day. Carrier is 8fields I think, lid is an amazon special, pants are Viper (I did originally have some amazon specials too but they were shite and broke on first use). Any suggestions on things I could add? My plate carrier seems to look a little bare so I'll probably look to add a few little extra bits there, and I defo need a battle belt of some sort down the line as the thing I'm using right now is just a plain old clothes belt. Still I'm pretty happy with it for my first loadout I can't lie!

  39. Acetone did not work nicely with a cyma m14 stock I had - thankfully I was testing on a non visible bit of the stock. Worked fine on other plastic things though. I suppose it depends on the solvent in the paint used and the specific type of plastic.

  45. As someone who used to defend Novritsch products, usually against the people who claimed "It's massively overpriced, because you can make the same for less yourself"....I just can't with their RIF's anymore. I mean fair enough I did want it upgraded beyond the "pre-upgraded out of the box" level, but that was mainly because it was overheating quickly (changed motor and MOSFET). Then the gearbox cracked. Anyway, my SSR4 is the one shown in the first 50 seconds of this video....
