Well, if that's the all-in price for everything listed, that's a pretty good deal (under half retail price). I just think that the advert is worded poorly. I've asked the seller for clarification. Don't get me wrong - 90% of LARPsofters or BBWarz players would be happy enough with a Viper or AliExpress knockoffs for a fraction of the price, but some get a chubby at the thought of gucci real-steel kit and are willing to pay the cost, which is fair enough. If I had £90 burning a hole in my pocket to spunk on some kit (which I don't sadly 😭) - I would be tempted.

Problem I find with Viper inserts is re-indexing magazines - I'm only speaking from M4 mag experience so YMMV, but it was such a ballache that I 3D printed insert to sit inside the elastic loops.

Got my DMR back from my local tech, Beaker at Red Alert Airsoft, and he has performed witchcraft. I am in love with how well this RIF shoots now. Added all my unnecessary bling back to it. Just waiting on some krylon and I'll be giving her a facelift.

So for anyone else asking a similar question in the future, I've got the empirical data. I shot 20 times before and after shaving off 2 teeth, with the spring/barrel/cylinder combo from my post above & both with no hop applied. I've got pretty excellent air-seal/consistency and based on the spread and standard deviation of the shots this wasn't negatively impacted during the upgrade (not that it should be by gears, but there's always the possibility of not putting it together quite as well as I did last time). Before the average was 332.7 fps and after is 302.2 fps. Little more than I'd like off the power, but I'm getting no PME on full auto and a super-slo-mo video shows it's close enough to the point where I'm better off safe than sorry! Once I've got the hop adjusted properly and measured the power again, I might get an M120 spring to make up the difference.

It's not something that overly concerns me, as the worst brew ups seem to happen to RC lads charging eleventeen chonky batteries in parallel. That said, I do actually put the lipo and charger into a ceramic pie dish, and keep the route to the back door clear in case I need to hurl them outside. And at the first sign of puffing or damage, don't risk it, not at the price of £10-£20 for a new one.

I struggle to 'connect' with the really heavy stuff more and more as I get older. I've been listening to a lot of Chevelle at the moment, a very underrated band IMO.

Cheers mate, but the watery eyes are down to me irritating my eyes putting the things in. I think its holding my eyes open with my fingers as I make the umpteenth attempt. As I always camp at games, handwashing is via hand gel, and despite rinsing with bottled water, I usually still have some somewhere on my hands too. I did get shown how to put the bastards in at the opticians, but I'm still useless.

Liked the vid of him playing at Spartan Airsoft he’s posted recently, amusingly with a tongue-in-cheek click bait title. In reality it’s just a load of people enjoying their hobby and having a laugh, which is how it should be.

Can't remember exactly when I bought this gun originally before embarking on my external mods, I think it's pushing 9 years or so. Being a very very run-of-the-mill V2 AEG AR I didn't think he'd record it but there we go. No I didn't do any work to the insides myself nor did I know what was in there, I never look inside my guns 😂

TM MP7 AEP - 11.1 lipo in the grip keeps it a nice slick unit. PEQ boxes always dwarf the MP7 and eat up rail space. Both ROF and trigger response are improved with the 11.1 over the 7.4 Lipo via the adapters. Converting the fore grip to the A2 railed front rails makes the whole thing more solid.

It's a patch mate. Leave it alone lol.

Age isn't always the best way to judge who's fit to play. I know plenty of youngish people who haven't done any exercise since PE at school and who get out of breath walking up the stairs, I also know people in their 50's who are in excellent shape and who could run rings round most of us.

Finally broke out the Flecktarn for a MilSim. It worked very well.

Pee Dee W Done for now, might upgrade to an Eotech but it fits nicely in my north face backpack I’ve had for years without having to separate the upper / lower which was the aim so I’m chuffed and not upset about sacking off the peli case. This, 5 mags and 6 TAG’s are literally all I take to game day now apart from safety stuff/chest rig. TBH at this point I don’t know why I’m not just running a pistol 🙃

58 here. With age comes wisdom. You dont need to run around like a teenager when you can out strategy them We play shoot em ups on the PC every Tuesday, us oldies, our sons and grandkids, they thrash us every week with their better reactions. So we took the youngsters to play airsoft. They were slaughtered!!, unfit, no tactics, not used to carrying a weight (a rifle is not like a mouse or game controller). In short it was a bit of a shock to them and great merryment was had by the dads

Very similar photos from entirely different games, kit is identical if memory serves correctly outside of the RMR moving slightly (it’s now completely gone, we’ll call that a failed experiment). Since adding the Trex arms dump pouch to my belt (have not been a fan of previous belt mounted options, but the addition of the thigh strap has been a big win) the TED on the plate carrier has fallen out of favour. Likely be swapping that back over the trusty mini dangler for the next few games having been getting a lot of mileage out of the one on my chest rig every time I use it. Also the first time I’ve worn a UBACS in about 8 years for no other reason than I’ve been too self conscious, suffice to say they’re very good at what they’re supposed to be good at.

Just treated myself to a HAO MK16 rail for the TM MWS. Really pleased with the quality - feels very solid.

Latest project , G3A3 GBBR , real steel furniture set just fitted (thank you @RyanJW ) … now seeking an old school claw mount and some optics , and of course more mags for the gun ill likely never use 😛

Oldest member of our group is in his 60's . For myself, once my normal style of play starts becoming an effort i'll just snipe more. Sitting alone in a bush not moving and occasionally screaming insults at some young'un not taking hits sounds ideal for a grumpy old git ! Maybe there should be a minimum age requirement for snipers , about 55 sounds right 😉 🤣

Didn't see the watch thread.. These are the two I wear the most, trusty Vostok amphibia for when it's dirty and possibly scratchy and a 116900 Air King for when it's not.
