UK airsoft is just fine. It's a decent mix of rentals and noobs, Dye and Crye babies, geardos, Walts, and the actual airsoft veterans in jeans with random brand NBBs or a scruffy AK non-ironically held together with duct tape, all playing more-or-less happily together. Power levels are fine too. I wouldn't be fussed if they went a bit higher, but they're not going there. Auto guns and bolties are both usable and distinctive. There's some debate over DMRs, in terms of both power and power-play abuse of them, but it's not a huge drama and sites are free to fiddle with their rules, or bin them off altogether. When I hear about the competitive stuff from Italy, or huge sites and squad play from Hungary, nah, not for me, thanks, let alone the roid-rage flip-out-and-fite-IRL tosh from the Colonies. I've enjoyed a couple of light filmsims, but for a regular Sunday I'm fine with short games, short walks, lots of shooting toy guns and maybe playing a bit of dress-up, without some Major Issues barking orders at me.4 points

LCT LK-53(HK53) out on 5th August
CrackCommandoUnit1972 and 2 others reacted to Hatchet for a topic
Well, these look interesting. They've been on the cards a while, but looks like they're finally coming out. Both the A2 (solid stock) and A3 (sliding stock) will be out and I think they're doing a standard and an EBB version. I've always had a soft spot for the HK53, so hopefully these will be as well built as their G3/HK33, but without quite as much weight up front. No idea on prices, but my guess would be £400 to £500 depending on version. No word on the MP5 yet, sadly, but they might have missed the bidding on that anyway now that Marui's recoil version is due out.3 points -
Also, it's fucking ebay, it's an auction mate. Why would I want an early cash sale unless I was convinced nobody was going to bid the asking price? Because clearly I'm that much of an idiot that I'd list it with an initial bid price that nobody is going to pay... Someone just bid 160 quid anyway, get in.3 points
-
My theory is that they don't really want to sell. They only listed because their missus ordered them to get back what they (actually) paid for their toys, even if they paid over the odds. Then they get caught up in a dick-measuring contest about not taking one penny less than their asking price.3 points
-
LoL... Bloke turns up 2hrs+ late for the game, complains no one is around to sign him in, throws a strop saying shit organising of the event..then promptly leaves. hahaha did I miss something.....maybe don't turn up late for game day! (I was in safe zone putting masking tape on my M16 stock..yep screw stripped and fell out..masking taped up the stock and solid now..lol)2 points

I'm selling some board games and miniature stuff on ebay right now. "What's the cheapest you'll accept for this?" "Well I listed it with a starting bid of 150 quid, so... 150 quid." "I only want it for spares." "OH THAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE LET ME SELL IT TO YOU FOR A TENNER."2 points

So... I am half way up some bloody mountain that my Scottish wife has dragged me up. As a boy from the flatlands of East Anglia I am sitting up reading as she sleeps in the tent, and The Man pulls up in 4x4. He wants to know what the fuck we're doing... If I am honest I would say that I am reading the replies to a thread on an airsoft forum that degenerated into a discussion about pissing on your boots. I tell them that I am reading a few work emails before bed as this spot has 4G. Night night.2 points -

I do this sometimes but nothing to do with the Missus. I'm fortunate enough to have the disposable income to buy toys and still have plenty left over to pay for more important things. I just don't particularly enjoy having guns which won't be in my top three to skirmish. So I will list something and if it doesn't sell for what I would be happy with, so be it. I've never been desperate to move something on. More like just so I can justify (to myself) buying something new. Actually typing that in full has brought me to a moment of great realisation....why am I trapped in this loop!? I already have plenty of guns and need to stop looking out of boredom, chasing the thrill of a delivery...thanks you've been a massive help! Oh you mean the type of Airsoft gun that's "bought as an investment" because in five years it'll be worth thousands 😬1 point -

I won't post the three pistols here that sum up the train of thought with this thread, but everyone who has looked at the gas pistols section knows the ones i mean. When i joined the forum years (shit, that long?!) They were one of the first ads i saw. Sure they are pretty and there is even a guy on fb that has the whole (as in fuck me sideways thats a lot of cash in that) collection of toys. But seriously no one is buying at that price.1 point -
@Steveocee Just got totally clickbaited into your new video, you bloody tease.1 point

Do they have a fuse? I honestly can't remember, I've rewired mine and gone with Deans connectors. They are quite fiddly to disassemble, with lots of little parts to lose, but there's a comprehensive guide here: And I'd always recommend buying a basic multimeter which takes so much of the guesswork out of it. Sight unseen I'd expect it's either a broken solder connection, or the trigger, which is a teeny, fiddly thing.1 point

Blimey, what a week. got kit ready for tomorrow. Couldn’t decided what to take so both my higher end Capas are in the stack of kit heading to Finmere tomorrow. Ive grown very fond of the “surprised Pikachu” face on people when a guy pops out from behind a tree and tags them from comfortably out of range of their AEGs with a pistol. Makes me feel warm and tingly inside The Limcat especially seems to send Geoff’s 0.36’s a long way in a straight line. Im taking a cousin of my Wife to Zed next sat hopefully. He’s been watching licking cumstain and Novristch videos, I figure he’s in for a shock. Steve, Kyle is the bad influence. Every time I buy something I think is pretty swish, he sends me a picture of something rare, discontinued or so nicely done that it puts me to shame! I couldn’t believe that even his grip safeties on the Silver and Gold Battlecat he did were AM, that thing must have cost a small fortune! Like you, as soon as AM have 4.3 STI frames. The Battlecat 4.3 is having one. With the Mi3D outerbarrel and the primary adaptor having a lightweight Guarder body, it’ll be a seriously lightweight build that’s going to be my dedicated indoor pew. You’ve made me have an epiphany regarding BB weight indoors, why am I shelling out on .28 Tracers when the max distance for a shot is going to be under 20m and without wind? As you’ve suggested, the reduction in time to target might even just give us the edge in the split-second nature of CQB Very annoying to see AM’s Facebook update the other day was a valve tool and not the effing 4.3 slides.1 point

I’m definitely in the “both sides are trying to screw us over” camp . on the one side you have the U.K. Gov(and I don’t care wether it’s the tories or Labour in power they both would pull the same stunt) seeing a new ATM has opened up and they don’t need a card or an account to draw as much money as they want out of it , then on the other side you’ve got the EU who are desperately trying everything they can to stop Brexit having any kind of success no matter how large or small it may be simply because they know if there is any benefit out of it for the U.K. then their whole house of cards will come crashing down and the dream of one super state ruled by France and Germany is dead in the water . having spoken to a few different European nationals over the past year or so about it who’ve said how much they want Brexit to work so their own countries can do the same and get out I really do believe this is the EU’s controlling powers game plan .1 point

Oh yea I love this one too , not how it works , I ask a price , you offer an amount AND then we keep going till we reach a price I’m happy with . just tell them “ok I’ll take £120 for it” they say “go on then” you then come back with “great ! so that’s £120 for the XYZ , AND with fees plus P&P Added , oh that’ll be £150 then .” 😇1 point

TLDR is better grip to pull them out of pouches without having a loop which can get caught on things/adding length to the mag which can be a twat when prone. The purpose of a magpul is to make getting mags out of pouches easier, so they're still doing their job without the loops.1 point -
Similar situation with me once, not female influence but the sensible corner of my brain regarding keeping hold of an > £1500 gun that I only used once or twice, leant out more than I used it and also in a period of time where there was a fair second hand market. I had no need for the money, chose my bottom price - if too low then I may as well keep it in the armoury. So I listed it and took it out for ‘a last play’ Then waited I think it took nearly two years to sell I got offers of £200 & £300, and disgruntled messages when I rejected them : Its not worth it - (it either is or isn’t, in which case I’m not selling ) If I want to sell it / need the money I’ll have to accept low offers - (I don’t want / need to sell, I don’t have to accept any offers ) It’s cheaper new nowadays - I’m not asking anywhere near to the new price & that ‘cheaper’ one is a smaller version (The ‘standard full’ version held its new price, the cheaper one didn’t have the full foregrip, stock, case, extras - and you could now buy them as addons. (buy a new one then) This limited edition colour scheme isn’t so special (buy a standard colour then) Its old, second hand, battered etc (yes to the first two, hence the second hand price, it just has a bit of rub on the barrel tip, otherwise it’s mint with a very low shot count - if you don’t like mine for my price then don’t buy it) Its not limited edition, and is still available in the UK at X shop (No it’s not available, try buying it from them then …. Try hazarding a guess as to why one UK shop lists it but the manufacturer & their home country, and no where else in the world does - either they have one they’ve been sitting on, or it’s just still on their catalogue as they list everything as in stock. However I knew they didn’t have it) After replying to or ignoring many messages one day I get an offer, accept, sell. I’m happy he’s happy …… and bearing in mind that I bought it on a trade price - which I think they got wrong due to how low I paid or subsidised my price, and sold at not much less I was very happy1 point

Has Km Cheated the Chrono at Anzio?
leadly reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
that mean i can bomb down the motorway at 100mph and if the cops pull me over just say "i was aiming for 70"? the limit is the limit, any variance is between [actual empirical velocity of bb according to physics] and [what chrono says bb velocity is] which we generally take to be an acceptable error for a working chrono (although as is the topic here how does one be sure if it isn't properly calibrated) this is indeed true, and part of why being a few fps under the limit isn't the worst idea given how if said battered and tatty chrono is out by 1fps site will the see the reading and say "begone foul cheater most depraved and despicable of creatures, may you be forever banished from this place and a curse laid upon your house unto the 7th generation" meanwhile next in line, jerry joule creep sails on through..... they might not understand it but come hell or high water they're gonna enforce the shit out of the bit they do understand....... god that sounded bitter1 point -

Picked up this cheeky little thing earlier this week. Stuck a 180mm crazyjet in there and now it’s running at site limits with my regulator set to 105psi. The noise this thing makes In full auto is insane and I’m pretty sure the kick from the blowback could work fillings out! Bodged the obligatory drum mag so it’s useable while I’ve only got one mag EDIT - Because ambiguous post is ambiguous, it’s a GHK G51 point -

In Hungary, my country of origin, they have 400 fps on normal stuff 500 fps DMR, 20m MED, single shot 600 fps boltie, 20m MED The engagements aren't any different than here, just everything happen about 5 meters farther. The game culture is very different. Sites are much bigger, it's always working in squads with objectives, almost always there's a side commander coordinating the squads, there are dedicated medics and most importantly at least 6 hours game days with no breaks.1 point

My game yesterday was amazing. Very warm and very sweaty, but we played in an area of the site we never play in, allowing me to use a pathway that only a tiny handful of players (mostly marshalls) know about to plink away at the enemy team with my silent HPA VSR setup and have them scratching their heads wondering where the hell they got shot from / how the hell did someone get behind them in a chokepoint-y game. Arms and legs are covered in scratches bcause I had to fight through thorns to use it as it's super overgrown, but worth it. Also, I ditched the ghillie a few months ago due to temperatures / humidity / general sweat and eye-pro fogging, but I went one further and only wore a short sleeved OD t-shirt and BDU trousers while sniping and I still had people almost trip over me and be super surprised after I shoot them. Superior fieldcraft trumps a ghillie suit every day of the week and it's good to get the practice without it. Plus it feels even better when you go unnoticed while knowing you're not wearing the best camo. Maybe I'll try it next in a loud hawaiian shirt... I also ache all over today, which means it was a good day!1 point

The E&C qd gearbox shells are easily the best bang for buck performance, they are just super hard to get in the UK right now. Quickest way at the moment is probably ordering from a HK store that has stock. You might have fitment issues with the SA receiver but that's to be expected. Not going to be for another 6-8 weeks sadly. There's a small chance I might get 5 or 10 in stock soon but COVID is causing all sorts of delay at the moment, from the factory to shipping to customs.1 point
