Sounds like those videos from the far east where they rinse people up with guns held together with gaffa tape in a field with chest high walls. I think the objective is to unload an entire high cap onto someone at point blank, at which point the marshal declares the player hit.3 points -

One the marshal told me The Malls been broken into a fair few times, they've arrived in the morning to find an open door or similar. Mostly 'urban explorers', and no-ones burnt the place down yet. Most the vandalism there seems to be done by muppets during games, trying to shoot out lights etc. Also told me an amusing tale of a 'terminator' game, where the terminator spotted someone in casual clothing in the basement and shot at them. The guy ran off so the terminator followed him, and got to one the fire-escapes which was open. Their guess is it was another explorer! i chuckle at the thought of what must have gone through that guys mind when he broke into an abandoned building, walked round the first corner and encountered a very realistic looking terminator holding a rifle. Personally after escaping my first step would have been to check i hadn't traveled in time when stepping though the door...2 points -

30mm Triple Rail Scope Mount £8.99 Mass Effect "N7 Armour" Tshirt £23.15 (including shipping from the US) The scope mount is going to be used to add extra rails to my vz61 by attaching it around the front barrel section. Gives me room for a flashlight, fore grip (as I hate gripping the magazine) and either a red dot sight or a laser (most likely). The N7 shirt is to replace my current one that I use in CQB as it has got to ragged to wear. Plus I absolutely love the Mass Effect game series.1 point

2 bolts, 2 brass sleeves + 2 sprung lugs/bullets oooh dunno special order them mofo's £3 posted ??? - can just chuck 'em in a jiffy bag It came off the AKFrizzle 901c crappy double eagle krinkov bollox but them bits and the folding stock should be compatible (99% reckon it is probably made by Cyma or JG I would of thought) if ya want the rear folding stock butt bit - £5 total to cover bit more postage/parcel but those bits n pieces should fit on your cm stuff anyway £6 for everything in pic but the side-bars you probably won't need - you would have to removegearbox to remove & fit the bars it should work with just screws/sleeves/lugs etc..... you shouldn't need any of the 901c stock itself really worth a shot I'd say - but maybe look to get some loctite thread seal/glue to stop you losing them bits again if it all works ok1 point -
Not to tread on Okto's toes, but to add something to the current discussion. I actually did a bit of reading on the site of a company that organises 'milsim' games for the first time yesterday, noticed they have quite a lot of slots open for the roleplaying side of things at their next event. http://war-zone.co.uk/live-role-play-booking-form/45890326641 point

Bit of an odd concept. Speedball for paintball has been around for ages - part of the whole "it's an extreme sport" mentality. I though most people turned to airsoft because they wanted something more tactical and simulation like, rather than running around inflatable barricades dressed in brightly coloured strips. Not sure why it's a thing at all in airsoft. Especially with a move in paintball towards "magfed" and more tactical/simulation like games. If you want fast and furious airsoft do CQB or kill houses!1 point -

Really? Ever seen one not operating flawlessly because of wet conditions? There's even a video on youtube showing someone firing one under water. I wouldn't recommend using it under water, but I can't see a situation where a half decent AEG would not do the job. I think TWG suggests not to use AEGs in sub freezing temperatures, as it might render the gearbox shell fragile. But I have never heard of this happening and we play a lot in those conditions here. As for Tippman, they are hardly the only decent gas system, and I could probably find an environment where it does not work. Oh and never leave your batteries or gas exposed to the sun and make sure your battery compartment does not get too hot. tl;dr: Any decent AEG should stand almost any weather. But you might want to use one you can afford to replace or repair (probably a sound advise no matter what conditions you play in)1 point -

Jedi_Master reacted to Spatch for a topic
I can now safely say that elite custom pistols are the dogs danglies, the range and accuracy on both I received is frankly beyond impressive, yes, they are costly but you get what you pay for and the finish over 'run of the mill' stuff is quite staggering, bearing in mind that both of mine are for skirmish use it was probably a bit frivolous but who cares?1 point -

V2 Gearbox and motors for appraisal
Monty reacted to Sitting Duck for a topic
A&K box £30 - maybe £35 G&G motor - f*ck all as it probably a stock red motor 16,000rpm ferrite A&K motor - "might" be a neodym - look carefully at the A&K - two slits at top of case if you see silver magnets = neodym and hard to turn, if so £15 for neodym perhaps if it is black like G&G then it is a ferrite and worth f*ck all I say f*ck all but in fact peeps need to keep some old ferrites for spares eg: contacts/brushes even the armatures etc..... then if/when neodym motor dies - brushes or the windings in armature craps out you got spares or rebuild into a frankentorque motor1 point -

Vandalism at sites
Raggedy_man reacted to Richie Boyle for a topic
the site I use takes safety very seriously but not security. There is a gate where the track meets the local road but not a high gate and the only things left on site are the materials for building. No equipment is left but they only run game days once a fortnight so I don't blame them for a light approach to security. There is a paintball site using the same access dirt track but they rarely seem to be there so they wont bother about security either. They do brief us on what to do if a rambler wanders in during a game but break ins have never been mentioned1 point -

Raggedy_man reacted to NickM for a topic
The guys that used to stay on site in the evenings were told categorically by the site owners that they were not allowed to have any RIF's or IF's, and no training knives etc. If they did it they did it armed with nothing more than a bright torch and a mobile phone. Although a few did run night games from time to time. I can just imagine the brown trouser moment when a vandal gets caught by what appears to be several heavily armed men in cam cream.1 point -

Of the 4 sites I have played at most 3 have had vandalism problems. One of these has a fantastic community feel with players regularly contributing materials and time to help put things right and improve. They even managed to get 20 or 30 guys together to do a litter sweep one Saturday in before spring set in, apparently they did this most years to keep litter down across the site. Most of the structures they built or relied on required concreting into the ground and/or were built from non flammable materials, large earth embankments and bunkers etc. They also had a group of players who either camped out every so often, had a few beers and patrolled the area or some of the locals would take their dogs for walks in the area at random times. The instances of vandalism slowly dropped as the vandals got the message they might get caught by groups of large guys in camo who would hand them in to the police. One of the 3 was trying to get that sort of thing going but the owner couldn't decide what he wanted built, eventually some of the players took it into their own hands and started building. But their efforts were not appreciated by the owner so they jacked it in. I offered one of my days off and spent a significant amount of time to collecting materials but I spent the build day trying to get the owner to tell me what I could/couldn't do. Eventually we were told to dump the materials in a pile where to my knowledge they are rotting. I haven't been back since. Gunman Tuddenham is the 3rd and by far the worst damage. There was a large and very interesting box fort which is now ash. There was from the sounds of things a significant amount of materials put aside to build new features. which are again ash. And to top it all, because this area was made from packing crates and recycled materials it is now littered with rusty charred nails and wire making it unplayable until someone gets out and clears it all up. The one that didn't seem to have vandal problems was the sandpit, but I guess that comes with having a large fence round the whole place and full time security on site. I guess they are easy targets what with being fairly remote and not overlooked by the very nature of what the site owners are looking for. I seem to remember Plymouth used to have a problem with tomb stoning, those kids who got caught were offered diving lessons free or cautioned. It reduced the problem. Maybe something similar would be a good idea, ie do a game for all the kids in the local area free every so often, that way they might take a bit more interest in the site in a more positive light.1 point -
