  1. TRP in it's final form. Unfortunately had to sell it to balance out funds from a recent purchase. Took some pictures to remember it by before saying farewell😢 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Had stainless fever for a while and went buck-wild on creating an all stainless look. The full stainless furniture along with the TACTICAL billboard in all caps shows you mean business. The ambidextrous Tactical Response Pistol lettering jumps in your face just in case you missed what type of gun this is. Even the aluminum slide and frame are posing as stainless with Cerakote. You know you need the extra corrosion resistance - that salty grease from your chip butty lunch is severely corrosive on raw metal. TACTICAL brass checks. The chamber says something about reading a manual. Who are they kidding? Real operators don't read books Safeties blended & Cerakoted. Slide and Frame are H152 savage stainless, safeties and mainspring housing are H150 stainless. The safeties are slightly darker as per the real thing, but doesn't show up as well in pics. Real-steel example of the TRP color scheme. Note the darker tone safeties and unfinished slide stop

That is an incredibly low budget especially in this time of price rises and low stock. I would suggest getting at least doubling your budget so you can get something that could be skirmishable, be somewhat reliable, pay for it to be painted two toned, along with eye protection, BBS and a decent charger/battery. Spending less will likely not give you a pleasant experience and will discourage you from the hobby. Airsoft does require some reasonable expenditure from the outset. I suggest you go to a skirmish and rent a rifle first and see how you feel, that's the main reason why rentals exist.

No personal experience on the 1000Ds but my old 1200 Multistrada did nearly 90k miles witout any major issues.. With that mileage and that price, it sounds like a very good deal, its not uncommon to see those engines reaching 100k if well maintained

  8. despite its size the TM Desert Eagle is a very good pistol. 1911 wise stick to TM and get a M45A1 as it has a more efficient system and larger mag gas capacity.

  9. Personally, I'd just save an extra £20 or so and get a TM. I've never heard anything good about WE or Raven GBB pistols and you want to get a sidearm that will actually work. Fire-support have a TM Desert Eagle in for £135 with magazines also in stock: https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/tokyo-marui-d-eagle-50ae-hard-kick-gbb-pistol https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/tokyo-marui-desert-eagle-50ae-pistol-magazine-black27-rnd Only non-TM GBB pistol I like is the Action Army AAP-01, but that's neither a 1911 or a desert eagle. I've seen so many pistols that look really nice externally but just don't work well when you actually use them. Also, 1911s will always be a difficult one to make work outside of the TM ones, purely because their magazines are so small and carry very little gas. I have a Bell 1911 from way back in the day and it just doesn't work as a skirmishable sidearm, and even my TM 1911 struggles to get through an entire mag outside of summer. TM Hi-Capas are a potential alternative to 1911s, as they're designed on the 1911 style while having far larger magazines, but they aren't 1911s and I wouldn't take mine to a Vietnam game, for example. If you do look at going the AEP route, the Cyma ones with a mosfet installed are pretty great. The challenge is finding them, or the mags, in stock as you said, but if you can get one they're pretty reliable, shoot reasonably well for a sidearm and will work all year round. I don't like them because they don't shoot well enough for me to rely on them as heavily as I need to as a sniper, but if you're playing normally they're a great little piece of kit; one of my friends who runs a ghillie with a 1J HPA m4 sometimes runs one and it works great.

if you can find one CYMA M14 is an excellent AEG can be got for £150/170. I will add unless you live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours back garden target shooting can get you in a lot of trouble.

I refused to buy one until mags were available. So now, I have one haha. I built one years ago using a Sig Air springer, but Im happy to have the real thing now as well. If theyre appearing this side of the pond I imagine theyll be appearing in the UK soon.

  13. It’s been a bit quiet about the website, since I’m working on its second incarnation in my free time. However, I’ve made some minor updates recently to the way certain things are displayed on the homepage to give you better way to view what’s out there. In addition, I just reviewed and published close to 20 new locations throughout the UK, bringing the total to 171 sites (161 are currently open). There’s plenty of places to play in the mainland, though I’d like to see more locations from the outer edges, predominantly Scotland, mid-Wales, and smaller British Isles, as I’m sure there’s a ton of great places I haven’t heard about. Got any intel? Share it: submit a new location! PS: If you have feedback about the website, use this thread to let me know. I can’t make any promises about immediate improvements while I’m building PlayAirsoft V2, but I still wanna hear it all: good and bad. I only have one condition: be constructive. This is hobby project of mine, not a full-time job (I wish it was, though).

@Fly Sias the extremely learned gentlemen above have pointed out, at that budget you'll not find anything worth having, your alternative is to look at the secondhand classifieds, here is very good & pretty busy, but even secondhand you may have to up your budget a bit to get something you like. The other issue is finding someone to sell to you, as I'm guessing you don't have any type of reasonable defence under the vcra rules, but that's not to say a seller might two-tone something, assuming your over 18 ?. We might be able to give you better advice with more information from you, such as what rifles your interested in, your location in the UK, & anything else of relevance ?

  19. Get a small tube of Loctite blue (NOT red) threadlocker. It comes quite handy for a variety of purposes including setting sights. Clean the sight notch and the sight, put a tiny dab of loctite, install the sight and then let it sit for 24 hours. you can set the slide upside down on the sights to apply some pressure. Once it sets in it's almost permanent. To remove you just need to heat it for a bit using a hair dryer and tap it out. Superglue is ok, but loctite seems to have better longevity and resistance to impact.

  21. Cheers guys. I popped this up and totally forgot about it. I'm still none the wiser, it seems. @Tackle The drilling out of rails was really something I wanted to avoid but in lieu of an alternative solution, it's looking necessary (the holsters can't be remoulded, sadly). In answer to your question though, they work absolutely fine. @Daveoc33 Cheers for the insight. If I read it right, it would seem to suggest the only metal frames out there are for the WE and the only full auto slides are for KWC. As the mags aren't cross-compatible, I'm likely at a dead end... @Cr0-Magnon Not at all. I have bright coloured toy guns for anything in public. Organised conventions etc usually have some form of police presence that will look over any props for RIFs and either ban them, insist on a bright muzzle tip/shroud or give dispensation for a photo area only.

I was looking at these as a basis for a stripped back build, love the Ducati soundtrack. From my research they didn’t have any more or less issues than any other bike, the engine is pretty solid as it’s a de-tuned 996 lump I believe.

  23. I wondered what was going on. Me and the lad went away on holiday only to come back to find my newly upgraded gun and nowhere to play with it. Was supposed to be there tomorrow but only saw the cancellation email last night. Was planning to go to Reforger tomorrow as an alternative, but their website says the age limit is 14, and my lad is still only 13. They haven't responded to my question about them letting him in anyway. Really hope they get Spec Ops open again as I really like the crowd there, and Carlos was really helpful getting us up and running, as well as the marshals. They have a good balance between having a crack, but keeping things safe.

  24. What gun is it? We'd just be guessing, and a very basic multimeter will take the guesswork out of it. Worse case, you can bin off all the electronics and just install a basic trigger switch. AK2M4 is fairly low on stock, but still has options for both V2 and V3: https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/internal-parts/trigger-switches

  26. I've bought several optics from aliexpress over the past 2 years or so. I've bought: x2 eotech 558 clones A sig romeo 5 clone An aimpoint T1 clone A flip up rds X2 Trijicon RMR sights A trijicon SRO sight Plus bought several clone accessories such as surefire torches, unity mounts and buttons etc. I have to say I have been impressed by a lot of the kit. It certainly isnt up to standard of reel steel but it will do nicely for airsoft. Most of the stuff comes with the "real steel" markings that some optics over here dont. I dont think the rmr/sro would hold up on pistol slides; I reckon the blowback would kill them within a few games. As some others have said, you are getting what you pay for....although I would certainly buy more of these over brands like nuprol for example. Edit: the most expensive of the above was the sig romeo, around £40 after tax, shipping etc

  27. I personally think this is a bad idea. Whilst the ankle support would probably be great, they are generally too heavy/clunky/rigid for running around playing airsoft. I mean, if its either that or your trainers, definitely wear the boots. I'm a believer in getting the best footwear possible for whatever activity you're going to do.

My Tactical and Practical setup. Which one's your choice? And by practical I mean practical shooting; which makes it completely unwieldy and unpractical. Both weigh in at around 1kg💪 Olight courtesy of a fellow forum member Glock has been short-stroked with the slide stop filed back 14mm so it can still lock back when dry "brass" checks - I can't be the only one who LARPs this with an airsoft gun Added a 150mm crazyjet inner barrel on the 1911 because why not. Ends right before the last baffle on the comp

  38. The way things go around in the UK (and the world) is worrying and baffling at the same time. Some old farts under pressure from woke social justice warriors (“or else I won’t vote for you!”) and shady orgs that have no idea what they’re talking about manage to impose further and further restrictions on us, citizens, just because they can, in the name of something nobody can grasp: safety. The problem I think is in the toxic polarisation of arguments and lack of nuanced, deep conversations between people. We just take in what the media, the politicians, our neighbours, our coworkers currently support and try to fit in, because nobody wants to be the odd one out. Instead of thinking we react with the first response. It takes real guts to stand up and say “you’re talking rubbish mate” following with a coherent counterpoint that will prompt that person to think for themselves. Given our track record within the past two years, I don’t think we have much time left until our teaspoons and kitchen towels will be banned too, since *they pose incredible danger to society as a whole.* For goodness sake, they could be an offensive weapon, AM I RIGHT LADS?! 🤣 It’s the time of great coddling of the minds and bodies. We can make fun of it all and cover our laughter/cry with cynicism/memes, but that won’t help make things better. "Hard times make strong men,” and if you don’t stand up for what you enjoy, don’t cry when they come for your beloved toys and boomsticks.

  39. During a game I had to change battery, the tamiya housing came off and I stupidly rushed and replaced it the wrong way and plugged in, sparks from connection and gun fails to function at all now. Tried different batteries, knowing that wouldn't work but tried anyway, hoping. Can anyone tell me the probable damage? Any experience with similar situation? I assume mosfet is bust, fuse looks ok but I read mosfet will go before fuse. Many thanks
