    Places to shoot it out.

I no longer see the difference between Airsoft site and the "real world". All I can see I places to find a good vantage point or the next cover to move for. Must say though the wife feels shame wen I peak round the corner, sight the next move, check my cargo is secure in its metal wire container, break cover, run and commando roll to my next way point all while shouting MOVE UP THE FRUIT AND VEG. Tesco Airsoft!!! Be the best!!

  4. How MUCH!!!!!!! $265 = £170!!! so what is it ... Mobius action camera = £50 (ebay, loads of them on there can be had cheaper etc) x7 lense = £10 (i have seen a pack of lenses for less then £10, they are m12x0.5 lenses fit, no idea on magnification etc) RIS mount = £33 shapeways (with delivery) http://www.shapeways.com/product/2XJ243CG6/mobius-camera-picatinny-mount-forward-facing?li=search-results-1&optionId=40642873 total = less then £100 its almost as big a rip off as his "sniper rifle upgrade kits", where are just edgi custom works parts (see the "edgi custom works" on face book) i really do respect the guys youtube video's, he is an amazing sniper, but wow he knows how to charge!

    Marshals

So I've been the travelling airsoft guy for a few months now and had a great time. I have noticed one key thing..... Marshals can make or break a day. I have been to a few sites where the marshals were professional and calm let the day flow freely. Sadly at some sites I have witnessed what can only be described as egotistical show offs acting as if they a special forces and you are plebs...who happen to pay for that privilege. I like many others airsoft for fun and maybe a bit long in tooth for that crap! I would be interested in you guys opinions on it?

  7. Recently I had a good stealthy kill-streak through The Mall and managed to sneak in a shop full of opp players through the entrance they were using. Out the corner of my eye I saw someone facing more in my direction than out the shop doors like the rest so I quickly turned and sprayed some bb's at him as he turned and did the same. Turns out it was one those pillars with a mirror on it and my own reflection. The noise quickly alerted the opp who turned round and gave me a proper peppering as i was standing there thinking 'doh' (if i'd not paused to 'doh' I could have got 1 or 2 first, or ducked away, but I just stood there thinking 'what a wally', which made me more of a wally)

  8. We have all been there, so much kit that its just hanging round your house/flat like the smell from last nights alcohol induced kebab farts. In a fit of "Oh my sweet lord cthulu where am i gonna stash all this" when you realise your significant other/mother/landlord is coming round that you throw it everywhere just to hide it (Note: trying to disguise a hicapa 4.3 by trying to bribe the cat to sit on it doesnt work). Weeks/months go by and you start finding remnants of your beloved hobby all over the place, a cleverly concealed group of bb's have just destroyed your hoover, you find a pistol mag in the microwave and then lo and behold you find a gun/pouch/plate carrier you havent seen in months, buried amongst last months pile of dirty underwear thats still good for another week, and you rejoice. Pointless post maybe but as ive just found the wreck of a vfc hk416 from like a year ago i wondered whats the weirdest thing you have found and where? Reaver

  9. Remember once, i was sneaking through the village, during a fight, and came across the other team having a small shootout... I threw a ball grenade towards them, and had it bounce off a tree and come back at me... Needless to say, I gave away my position by running away yelling "f***" at the top of my voice. Funny thinking back at it, but at the time, it really pissed me off. This was back in Ultimate Airsoft in Thornbury several years ago.

  11. TBH guys I haven't really looked into the legality of blank firing guns as i only know mostly about the VCRA in terms of Airsoft like most of you. Now if your asking me to trawl the legal database about this then you will need to seek a lawyer, trust me the database is huge and is never black and white with various laws contradicting each other and amendment after amendment, trust me even most officers struggle to keep up with the changes. That aside I believe that if you wish to purchase a blank firer then you are perfectly entitled to, I don't know if there is a minimum age requirement but would at a guess say that there probably is and that it is set at 18 and above, likelihood is that the blank firer must be of a two tone colour such as bright orange if purchased after the VCRA was put in place, those purchased prior to the VCRA may be of a normal gun colour. An example of the above is the Bruni Gap 8mm blank firing Glock pistols, prior to VCRA they were black but afterwards good luck finding one not fully bright orange, I purchased one many years ago prior to VCRA for Air Training Corps use and it is fully black, though now it never leaves my house. The only blank firer you cannot own is the Bruni Olympic .380 Blank firing revolver as that is readily convertible. Please note guys don't take my word for gospel as like most PCs i only have a working knowledge of the law Lastly don't take and wave any of your guns around blanks or Airsoft ones heck even cap guns and cheapo crappy toy ones for kids, the UK public are so jittery around guns they call us saying shots fired when the likelihood was a car engine misfiring or some boy racers silly exhaust.

  20. picked these up just now. Absoloute hell cycling to the othet end of Lviv in 35 degree heat. Not the only ones, others were for m8s and not airsoft releated. Cost about 10 UAH for production, and 10 UAH for the velcro. About 80 cents per patch,as they already had the vectors for them

    Marshals

I'm one of the Marshal's at The Gaol CQB site - we always try and have as many marshals per game day as possible, normally 8-9+ and make sure we have enough time before each game to brief the players as a whole an as teams so they are clear on what eneds to be cahvied. We also make sure to have 'roaming' marshals as well as marshals posted at known 'choke' points or points where play can get very close and painful. We are very hot on cheating and will give warnings / cool downs out of game. We temp banned 2 players the other week (6 weeks) for non sportsman like behaviour and have said if it happens again then its a perm ban. We also always try to pick up BFG's and the like so that players wont lose them or take time out their day looking for them and more importantly...also stop others pocketing them. However, yes, as stated before, Marshals can ruin a day / game / experience and we try our best to stop that happening

  24. Welcome to the group Greg. We run our games at our site at Eversley near Farnborough. The main reason for airsoft is the craic. We camp out for the weekend war with lots of big boys toys including vehicles, RPGs and props and have a campfire on the Saturday night with a few beers and high jinks. Taken in the right spirit, Airsoft is a medium for a lot of fun with good mates and camaraderie.

  26. YES IF YOU CAN SOLDER Even just running 7.4v - if you got a neodym motor & lipo for the sake of contacts it should be done coz you will be pushing more juice through it if using existing wire - just make sure it is tidy where the tiny pin passes through box on "normal" V2's Dunno about the jumbo V2's layout - but on conventional V2's keep it tidy behind trigger switch or you might short some wires when you put it back together but yes all them little tweaks do add up to better response in the end - well in my book they seem to do A nice recent purchase was a 14mm CCW tap & die set - high quality engineering from a precision toolmaker (some backstreet pi$$ pot guy with a lathe in the slums of China no doubt via fleabay) Had a few cheap silencers that the threads were a little iffy on all off them - not anymore redid a couple and now they screw up all the way instead of getting stuck halfway down the outer barrel's thread very happy chappy ebay item # 160637665606 - brilliant mofo & ebay item # 160637665354 (not used this yet btw) oh and 2 out of 4 mofo motors arrived as well for smashing hell out of my next gearboxes plus some more dean connectors, stuff for spares box etc......

    Krytac bb's

You contacted me on Facebook so I already gave you a reply. I'll reply here as well since it is a valid question. The LVOA is schedule to release this year. US will gave the 1st release and UK/EU will get the next shipment. There is no exact time frame I can gave you except it's around 4th QT. Price point also have not been release yet but given this gun is a Licensed product and the production time is longer than SPR. It will cost more than SPR.

    fobus paddle holster

Unless i'm mistaken you want a glock 21 holster as the WE G17/19 dimensions don't match the real steel and need so you'd have to mold/file the Fobus G17 holster to fit. I'm basing this off what people have found with the Blackhawk SERPA holster, so it might be different for a Fobus.

  31. I saw an enemy on the other side of a door, we couldn't shoot each other without being out, so I threw a grenade into the corner of a door frame, hoping it would bounce and land where he was standing. But no, it bounced back towards me and I stood there dumbfounded whilst everyone laughed at me. Happy times

  32. I got some 30mm thick Perspex discs to cover my scope lens instead of the other space wasting lens cover I had. (thanks proffink) I've also bought some shims, a g&g green and some sorbo pads for my sr25. Pulled it apart today and noticed my sr25 already had sorbo padding in it. AoE has already been done which is a bonus. While my gearbox is open, I'm wondering whether or not I should hard wire the mosfet in?

The majority arnt that bad. But the mini hitlers make the day a total waste of time. I , like most of is, play for fun, FUN. Not to stick the the realism of real engagement as closely as possible. Off topic; if I hear one more person say " I was in the marines for x years " when you explain to them it's only a bit off fun, I will slap them silly. Any one who has been in the armed forces and not been a cook and bottle washer (not that there is anythin wrong with that) will leave what they did where it happened. Don't believe everyone who tells you there a post/milk man.

  35. Your welcome glad you can find happiness in our misfortune. On that note, I recently had the a painter and decorator at my house who left after a couple of days without warnin. Next thing police "knock" at my door concerned I was planing an attack. What really happened was I had set all my kit out for a days Airsoft the next day, the painter had seen all this (not in a room he was supposed to go in, think he was havin a good look around) left and went to the police. The lesson of the storie is: Shoot everyone who enters, they may leave and you don't get the chance again.

  36. I was at the malls, half the team were pinned by fire from one of the shops so I heroically stormed to the side of the shop front, prepped a flashbang and promptly threw it into some camo netting hanging 12" in front of me. I laughed, the marshal right opposite me laughed, it went bang and I went deaf. Good times.

I couldn't agree more. It's a job that needs to be taken seriously, but some take it a little too seriously and that's when things get really bad. I'd rather have stand off-ish marshals than ones that try to pick up on every detail and constantly micromanage the games.

    Gun picture thread

Got a little busy this afternoon with my Firehawk and SAS-12. I've always liked the whole "post apoc" and battered feeling! I'm looking to add a few bits, maybe some rope/tape. Maybe give them a steampunk feel! I've only ever painted a one coat on RiF's... Thought I'd get the paint brush and sponge out and paint away! Also have this "post apoc" looking chair in the garden so thought I'd use that to stage them on (Sorry for photo spam and bad quality!) You can't see it clearly but on this side, on the red dot I have stenciled "Antt570"

    Noobs and Milsims

People should give it a go before deciding they don't like it. If I took what I heard a couple of people say as gospel I'd still assume using LiPos would run the risk of incinerating my whole town in a firestorm if I look at them funny. Much like any type of Airsoft game i've seen some strange rules though(looking at you 370 FPS, 30 MED DMR or 1 box mag on LMG regardless of capacity). Although that's more the organisers not thinking about things than limited to skirmishes or milsim or any other description of game.
