  1. I'm not even sure why we're still entertaining this thread, yes there are laws pertaining to rif use that any of us could easily fall foul of, but every thread that's EVER discussed anything along these lines have all come to the same conclusions : IF YOU WAVE A RIF AROUND ANYWHERE THAT MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC CAN SEE YOU, YOU WILL GET A VISIT FROM THE POLICE. Now irrespective of anyone here's knowledge of the laws, taking the moral high ground because "According to laws XYZ its OK to do this, so it's my right" is bollocks, the plod are obligated to investigate every call they receive regarding potential firearms, even when your in your own back garden or on private land, & there isn't a court in the land that will support you versus the police when in comes to them doing their duties in this matter, whether its them telling you to "don't be a cnut, use some common sense", or the other end of the sliding scale, them shooting you dead. Even if the attending officers are very knowledgeable about Airsoft & are polite when discussing it with you, respond with a smart mouth & you'll find yourself nicked for "causing distress" or public order offences, & your kit grabbed for "assessment", & don't expect to get it back anytime soon. Back on track, if you want to fiddle with your guns in your back garden, let any overlooking neighbours know that their harmless but realistic toys & explain your hobby, maybe even print something out explaining it in more detail, get them on board & understanding. If if you do fire your toys in your garden, set up an appropriate range with a decent backstop to keep any stray bb's within your property boundaries. USE SOME COMMON SENSE ? 😏

  6. No fancy pics just yet but got a VFC MK20 SSR GBB and it is definitely more fun to mess around with than the G28 😎 Heavy c*nt though! Now to find a suitable set of attachments 😰 Also happened to have a real Hogue pistol grip to replace the VFC Hogue grip, very strange coincidence!

  7. LOL, I know what you mean, I had to scroll to the top to check what we're actually discussing, but I'll be grumpily honest & admit I'm so feckin tired of spoon feeding noobs answers to the same questions that have been asked a thousand times before, made worse by wannabe trolls that say shite like "if the plod come round, make an official complaint about wasting time" etc. There's a core of members here, you & I included, that literally have hundreds of years of combined experience within Airsoft, add to that our own personal life experiences & skill sets in numerous professional fields, & I'll bet that not one of us has fallen foul of the law due to how we use/behave/own our Airsoft rifs. Why. Because we've been sensible, applied common sense & been aware of the massive responsibilities of "gun" ownership. Yet we're still having to spell it out to new members ffs.

I’ve totally fallen in love with the old WA Magna gas system. Here’s a cheeky semi-only SR15 DMR build, excuse the aeg mag jammed in the magwell, it’s there to hide my HPA shame. G&P Roller bolt is smooth as silk and the recoil at 145psi is beautiful

    THE TM MWS thread

Picked my first MWS up on Monday - managed to source the g&p full stock and front end from a lovely chap on here. Had an absolutely brilliant time rebuilding the front end & threw in a maple leaf 60d rubber & an omega nub for now. luckily for me I must have put everything back together okay as it still cycled, fed & shot a smidge over 1j on some freezing cold Ultrair with .28 devil blasters. id like to get a fixed carry handle upper at some point and run an a1/2 hand guard but I’m more than happy with it for now.

  15. Bit long this one. So granny is 88 and still driving. She writes: Dear Grand-daughter, The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a 'Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting. So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed. I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed. I found that lots of people love Jesus! While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of God!' 'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!' What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love! There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant. He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign right back. My grandson burst out laughing. Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!! A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking toward me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed. So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters and drove on through the intersection. I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared. So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window, and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!! Will write again soon, Love, grandma.. 😊

  16. I do enjoy this bloke asking for fast food that actually looks like the advert, although I wonder if trying it in Lewisham McD's would get you a face-full of bleach. Anyway, good news, it looks like meat substitutes aren't financially sustainable. Bring me my Soylent Borger!

  17. It should matter really, the choice of using xt style connectors is redundant simply as you will need a adapter and you'll be no where near the current limits while charging. Xt60 being for 60a rated and xt30 30a.

  19. The Ghosts were so ahead of their time they had a lefty CAR ready for Ian McCollum. I’m not sure of the cover art was based on the in game models, I kind of assume it would be the other way around. There is an ultra realism mod for the pc game on the way. 😁 Some of the specialists are skins in the latest GR. 🙄 Happy days from Lindy Cohen and the OICW. Need an airsoft one….

  20. It's an admirable effort... I was going to insert a picture of a kitchen sink, but I think I glimpsed one somewhere in there... Have you actually charged the batteries? That's something I've forgotten in the past Also - remembering to charge the batteries the night before , but then forgetting to unplug them and take them along - done that too Can't see your boots in the pics. Wear them to bed tonight just to be super-certain.

  25. There's a lot you can do with these. I designed a set of mlok rails to 3d print for it and the even a real steel non reciprocating charging handle you can get, two things that really improve the ergonomics.

  30. @Josh SocomTactical how are you finding the ETU's? Is it fully micro-switched or a mix of optical? We're testing micro-switched ones at the moment - so far so good but early days yet. I've always been super weary as they are prone to failure after extensive use. Even the more expensive Japanese switches are only rated for 50,000.

  32. I've had one, it was 25RPS with an 11.1V out the box. Just bear in mind the retailer may not honour a warranty if you've been using a 11.1V.

  33. It helps when you're magdumping AKs straight up in the air, en masse, which the Austere Religious Scholars apparently use for anti-air defence. Not even trying to aim or lead, just putting as much lead in the air as possible and letting aircraft fly through it. The camera footage in the documentary Apache Warrior confirms how hairy it can get when everybody and their mum has an AK and ammo is cheap and plentiful.

  34. WE P99. Since owning the CO2 air pistol copy I've always wanted one for airsoft, although years ago I had one of the Maruzen NBB versions but I hated the mushy trigger. I'm just hoping it arrives before my next game on Tuesday

  35. True, but you know what I'm getting at. Do the same but on private land but still visible from a busy road and let us know how it goes
    1 point
  36. Well that's a public place and since you wouldn't have a good excuse for waving it around there you would be arrested under section 19 of the Firearms Act. Highways Act would be irrelevant.

  43. Eh, we're talking minutes. It's a minor annoyance that it doesn't have a 1.5A settings, but 1A will get the job done. And you can charge 1500ish mAh at 2A if you're in a hurry, we're talking margin-of-error levels of risk and degradation. Not functionality that you're likely going to use though. That one always balance charges, and will charge to storage levels, and that's really all you need - I don't even bother with storage charges. It'll be fine for airsoft, if I were buying from new, knowing what I know now, I'd be happy going for it. Oh, one consideration is that it's got an XT-60 or XT-30 connector, so you'll need a converter to the more typical mini-Tamiya (yuk) or Deans used in airsoft. You can wire your airsoft gear to XT, it's just that few people do it.

  44. I have a challenge to all those saying rifs don't count as firearms under the highways act. Take your favourite rif, wave it around on a motorway bridge and see what happens

  45. I feel vaguely grubby 😕 I'm not going full hpa. I bloody love my GE M870 Shorty, a lot, but the gas capacity is too low for me to fully enjoy it. The conversion to HPA took less time than to open the packaging. So here we are. Am I a filthy speedsofter now?

I think, sufficed to say, he doesn't have many days-away under his belt. I find Christian Craighead fans a little OTT sometimes but in fairness the bloke has (I think) 14 medals and I was pretty chuffed with myself to get my 3rd recently.
