    The Ex....

Dude, don't encourage this shit, when it gets found, & it usually does, then things just get worse, she gets more reasons to keep his son from him, which might be supported by courts etc. OP, you need to work at improving your relationship with your EX, & only then slowly feeding in you & your son's mutual interests, yeah it sucks that she appears to have all the control but unfortunately that's usually the way it is, & using underhand & deceitful tactics to undermine her choices, choices that many would view as sensible, will backfire on you, & ultimately have a negative effect on your son.

  2. Took the plunge and purchased the rare arms ar15 shell ejecting rifle few weeks ago.so far gun is good and with gimmick of shells flying out of the receiver and the game of hide and seek to find them again lol.so with only the one mag I looked on the net only to find none in stock and cost £26 a pop.so I purchased 2 5.56 metal mags from the net at £7.99 each and when they arrived it was off to the workshop.well 3/4 hr later and some scrap plastic and quick metal putty and a drop of superglue I had a working metal mag at the fraction of the cost of the plastic one they have on offer 😀..anyone else with this rifle feel free to msg me and can run you through the process 😀

  12. A lady goes to her parish priest one day and tells him, "Father, I have a problem. I have two female parrots but they only know how to say one thing." "What do they say?" the priest inquired. "They say, 'Hi, we're prostitutes. Do you want to have some fun?'" the woman said embarrassingly. "That's obscene!" the priest exclaimed, "I can see why you are embarrassed." He thought a minute and then said, "You know, I may have a solution to this problem. I have two male parrots whom I have taught to pray and read the Bible. Bring your two parrots over to my house and we will put them in the cage with Francis and Job. My parrots can teach your parrots to praise and worship. I'm sure your parrots will stop saying that...that phrase in no time." "Thank you," the lady responded, "this may very well be the solution." The next day, she brought her female parrots to the priest's house. As he ushered her in, she saw his two male parrots were inside their cage, holding their rosary beads and praying. Impressed, she walked over and placed her parrots in with them. After just a couple of seconds, the female parrots exclaimed out in unison, "Hi, we're prostitutes. Do you want to have some fun?" There was a stunned silence. Finally, one male parrot looked over at the other male parrot and said, "Put the beads away, Francis, our prayers have been answered

This is utter madness. It's 50:50 so you should probably respect that whilst your child is with their other parent, that parent has control over they think your son should or should not be looking at or watching. If you had banned or preferenced against something, I'm fairly sure you'd be extremely unimpressed if your Ex was trying to negate your rules and undermine you. Sorry if this is a harsh truth but you're coming across as a real ass by doing this and trying to hide it behind "your sons interests". This feels nothing more than trying to 1up your Ex.

  14. Truly shameless self promotion alert - also aimed very much at the military so forewarning if you're not in to kit that's way OTT for airsoft. If I may I'd like to present the Ammo Hub A1, a supremely modular placard that at the core level is designed to be the foundational basis for carrying your primary mags either on the front of a PC or built up to a chest rig. I get that from the picture that it really doesn't look like much, but please believe me when I say the design is done in such a way that there are 10s of thousands of potential setups you can build and the aftermarket integration features of the placard are done such that the interfaces are super sleek and tucked away - mostly they comprise of slots and various velcro areas. It takes any mag insert with hook velcro on both sides like Spiritus and HSP so it'll work for ARs, AKs and all SMGs just like the other micro rigs many of you will be familiar with. I'm not currently aware of a PC with placard integration on the front that this cannot attach to. It can take different top and side attachment buckle options as well as any PALS pouches on the front, sides and base and Tubes compatible dangler pouches/sub loads. It can be stacked on top of itself or mounted side by side with itself if you buy 2 and want that capacity and capability. Any back strap or harness that uses industry standard 1" buckles can be attached but the side attachment loops can be tucked away entirely when used on a PC. If you have a cummerbund that includes FS Tubes it can clip in directly to the placard rather than the front plate bag for maximum security (extra Tubes purchase req'd); but if that doesn't apply for your PC there's also a way to strap the bottom of the placard to the bottom of the plate bag. Because of its' size it can be slightly curved even with 3 AR mags stored and it will stick to your PC/chest rig base better than most other similar products. The Ammo Hub is very very light and kept slim by the use of FirstSpear's specific 6/12 cordura/loop velcro laminate fabric while still being made to meet or exceed the specs required for military applications in terms of strength and durability of both materials and stitching. The hub is shown here mounted to the front of an FS Plate Carrier with 3 EMAGs stowed inside: The first small batch will only be in MC and will available around late feb/early march. There's are no 2 ways about it though, it will be expensive. You're looking at something roughly in the region of $60-70 (exact details TBC) for the basic setup with just top attachment buckles and you'll then need an insert of your choosing to retain mags, but I'd imagine a lot of interested folks will already own compatible ones. At least at first they'll only be available from FS in the states but of course I'll work with shops like Tactical-Kit to bring it to the UK if the desire is there and the opportunity arises. If there's desire in the market then more colours will be shortly forthcoming and I have lots of ideas for my own harnesses/back straps and expander wings etc to compliment the wide variety already available out there that are compatible from the likes of Ferro, Spiritus and Haley. NB - There is actually room for 5 x SMG mags like MP5 and ARP9. I'll be gradually talking about and showing all the many features in depth and close up over the coming weeks on my business IG/FB page so feel free to follow if you'd like to know more: https://www.instagram.com/f9gear_/ https://www.facebook.com/F9-Gear-105213495349920

  18. You’re exactly right. A little bit of material on the front side of it will allow it to close earlier, reducing the output power a bit. It’ll be very sensitive to the size of the shim used, so start small and see what the results are

  20. If you are considering a chest rig rather than a plate carrier, I can thoroughly recommend this one: https://www.flecktarn.co.uk/odtmb2nx.html Very comfortable and practical. I've been through a few setups of plate carriers and battle belts, and this is IMO the perfect compromise between the two if you like to run relatively lightweight.

  21. They aren't the best, especially for the price they come at. The main issue is that whilst they are built of steel, they also still have some poor QC in some areas. To add, they don't really perform that well in both range/accuracy and efficiency, parts are proprietary and also hard to source. If you want a glock, it's probably better to buy WE, TM, VFC or KJW, as they offer way better performance, part availability and upgradeability for 1/3rd of the price, of course with the expense of losing the better feel a GHK would provide.

Not necessarily in the product area, but there were small US businesses who decided to stop UK sales due to the changes. Its a judgement call for any business. Is the administration and any other potential hassle with overseas sales worth the level business that it brings in? A small number of sales aren’t worth the expense of registering in foreign countries to handle VAT/sales taxes and then having to account for all the sales then pay the total at the relevant point in time

Especially if anyone is still buying from them directly while putting the Polish VAT directly into their pockets as profit. The sad thing is that it can still work out to about the same price as buying in the UK (for some items) even when paying + 20% Polish VAT + 20% UK VAT + >£30 in postage and courier mugging.

I agree entirely but equally I do think we're a bit guilty of overestimating how big a market the UK is compared to the rest of the EU. The bit that annoys me more is that US companies are happy to ship to us under the same regulations and I daresay we're an even smaller part of their market than we are to EU sellers. I think there is an amount of "you made your bed so lie in it" involved from EU sellers and to be fair to them I do agree that we seem to want to have our cake and eat it in as much as we left the EU but we still want to be treated as if we hadn't. As far as selling through PB, DCA et al goes, it's a win-win for TG and GF. They can work on easy to manage bulk sales arrangements through retailers instead of individual purchasers, they know where they stand on VAT, Duty, joules legality and shipping costs and they still make margin. Plus all the whingeing customers direct their ire at PB and DCA instead of them. I can't say I really see where the appeal is for them to sort out a UK VAT registration.

  31. I don't ever purposefully weather my guns, but the way I play weathering is sure to happen at some point as I crawl through bushes and thorns and all manner of nasty flora that seems to want my blood. I maintain all my guns pretty well, but I'm not going to stress out over the occasional scratch or mark.

It's a bit of a catch-22 for them. Without the volume of sales, it's a big cost to swallow. But without charging UK VAT at source, they're not going to get sales volume up (or back). I do remain surprised that neither TaiwanGun nor GunFire reckon it's worth their while though. They're essentially ceding the UK market to PatrolBase and the also-rans.

The thing to remember here is that as part of Alibaba, AliExpress is a large company exporting a vast array of products. They operate the checkout process on behalf of their sellers so they have hoover up all the little VAT payments made on small items and pay it as one big VAT bill. Individual stores (like Evike Europe) don't have that kind of volume of sales (and by extension staff and/or systems) to make it commercially viable to sort out your VAT liability when it was "us" that decided to leave the nice, easy single market arrangement. Several of the airsoft retailers I had previously used in Europe have refused to take orders purely because they don't want the hassle.

Burner PAYG SIM that you/he pays for separately. PAYG as if/when it gets found you won't be using it again any time soon, but at least being a SIM it's small enough to keep in a wallet or stash somewhere. Obviously you'll have to deal with the fallout if it goes pear-shaped but I guess you know that already.

  41. So… the write up! Initially there were potentially going to be 3-4 of the team at this event but a couple dropped out last minute and we only had 2 in the end. We were on the BEARS team throughout, and overall it was an enjoyable well thought out event. A quick overview - Op Grimsky II is a follow up from Op Grimsky I held at Reforger Airsoft near Watford. I guess it would be classed as a filmsim, based around ‘Escape from Tarkov’ (which I’ve never played). It was a 2 day game, with 3 teams (Scavs, Bears, USEC), with rolling objectives played across the whole site. Pre-event plenty of information was available on the website, on a Facebook Live video, and in the fortnight leading up to the game we had team chats on Facebook Messenger. Questions were answered quickly and efficiently by Luke. We quickly came to understand that we would be the smallest team present, with only 17 players booked on; which wasn’t an issue and nor do I feel it detracted from the experience. On arrival I think there were actually 14 of us, and by Sunday AM this dropped to 10, and then 7 by the end of the game. I’ve come to understand this as par for the course at weekenders; for various reasons people will always leave early, what can I say apart for I like to get my moneys worth! 😂 We arrived Saturday AM, paid our dues and our kit was moved to our designated camping area by 4x4 while we walked over. On arrival we decided to re-site ourselves in a wooded area so that we could set up a basha. Luke had no issue with this and we were left to set ourselves up. Chrono happened at this location shortly after. Following this we were given a succinct game brief as rules and a longer brief had been sent out beforehand. I really liked this way of doing it, there wasn’t much messing around and we were able to get almost straight into the game within an hour/90 minutes of arriving. As far as team dynamics went, we had 4 snipers in ghillies, and then 3 distinct teams of friends within the BEARS team. We were left to come up with our own plan for the event, and had agreed a comms plan in the week previous. Luke was also on this net to feed us objectives and intel. Again this worked really well, and allowed us to take ownership of the tactics and operate with pretty much total freedom. Throughout the event our snipers would spot, track and ambush targets, and the squads would carry out coordinated attacks and ambushes. By the Sunday we’d got very good at this and it showed in the speed with which we were able to wipe out enemy squads. I can take or leave roleplaying at airsoft events, but with an almost dedicated team for this (Scavs) we were able to interact as much or as little as necessary. As a newcomer to ‘Tarkov’ the concept of ‘loot’ was new to me, but not difficult to understand or introduce into play. I will admit that we got quite frustrated after hiding a load of top tier loot under a pallet in the woods, only to find it had been stolen about 2 hours later 😬😂 after this we were much more inventive with our hiding techniques, and it paid off in the end! The loot we acquired could be stashed or traded with the in game trader; it was a nice dynamic which I think worked well although didn’t really have much to do with. It ranged from different coloured bottle caps, to 30mm rounds, keycards, bitcoin and ammunition crates. The only ongoing complaint which we had as a team was that at times we felt as though objectives and intel were coming through a bit slowly. We would find ourselves having to create tasks for a few hours (at one point we set up an OP and sat in a bush for an hour, but it was a nice break to be fair 😂) before an objective would happen, but having managed events in the past I appreciate the burden of having to provide objectives and intel for 3 separate teams. When the objectives did come they were mostly good fun and straightforward to achieve. The only other slight criticism would be team colours. It was an odd mix which wasn’t in line with the normal milsim Woodland vs Tan, which did lead to some confusion sometimes; although mostly in our favour because we were wearing green and USEC kept thinking we were Scavs and not firing on us immediately! We did miss the message about the night game on the Saturday evening and whilst on our own little patrol stumbled upon what we thought was an attack, but turned out to be an organised night game … sorry for shooting those people involved who obviously weren’t expecting us to appear outside their night game boundaries! Through gaining information from the Scavs we (eventually) learned that in order to escape Tarkov we needed to keep and not trade away our keycards. Luckily we had one ‘stashed’ at our FOB, and were able to retrieve this in the last hour to facilitate our extraction! I could bash on about every small detail of the event but I don’t think it necessary. To sum up, it was well planned, organised and delivered. Perhaps in future a few more objectives and little bit more intel could be added in, but I certainly wouldn’t be out off attending again and look forward to what Luke has planned for the future!

    Tell Us a Gag. Please!

A farmer stopped by the local mechanics shop to have his truck fixed. They couldn’t do it while he waited, so he said he didn’t live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware Store and bought a bucket and a gallon of paint. He then stopped by the feed store and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem – how to carry his entire purchases home. While he was scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost. She asked, ‘Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane’ The farmer said, ‘Well, as a matter of fact, my farm is very close to that house I would walk you there but I can’t carry this lot.’ The old lady suggested, ‘Why don’t you put the can of paint in the bucket. Carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in your other hand’ ‘Why thank you very much,’ he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home. On the way he says ‘Let’s take my short cut and go down this alley. We’ll be there in no time.’ The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, ‘I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won’t hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and have your way with me?’ The farmer said, ‘Holy smokes lady! I’m carrying a bucket, a gallon of paint, two chickens, and a goose. How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that?’ The old lady replied…… ‘Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the paint on top of the bucket, and I’ll hold the chickens
