That's my issue with them as well. TAG rounds are so far beyond anything else that we use that I'm baffled as to how a properly informed insurer would indemnify a site. Given the masses, muzzle velocities and ranges claimed, they're barely within UK air-gun power levels, which is a particular issue in Scotland. Something something pyrotechnic something, but there are also solid rounds, right? The bangs are earball-hurty even outdoors, and given the ranges and time to target, any claims of precision have to be qualified with "at the time when you launch, not when it lands". They were fun when I saw and heard them used (at a distance) at a filmsim. But they were used only by the organisers, and essentially non-competitively for theatrical effect. Being aimed at people by J. Random Airsofter, that's another thing altogether. We've seen the injuries these thing can cause, right? Smashed eyepro, and significant tissue damage. They seem like something which will only be allowed until its banned, and it'll be a safety rule written in some poor sod's blood.5 points

Consider us poor tradesmen that work in London.... 32 boroughs all with different parking rules and permit options. Classic one the other day was turning up for a job and ask the resident for a visitor permit. The reply was "we don't' have a car". FFS. It's for me!!!!!! A recent new fuckery is for them to place restrictions on entire roads so that you need a permit to actually drive down it. Obviously a local councillor or politician lives down there and they don't want the road used as a rat run. One upside is the invention of parking apps. That has made things easier for handling multiple vehicles moving around the city... Oh yeah - having to annually renew the auto pay for the congestion charge. Nothing has changed, yet they want £10 a vehicle. Including the electric ones that are exempt from the charge in the first place. Registering that was a fun time. You enter the registration plate and they know its 100%, but still have to send them a copy of the V5. Shame I didn't know about any of this when I took a courtesy car in for a couple of days and the garage got a load of fines through. I feel your Gggrrrrr LOL2 points -

It's like one of those films, guy comes to town, does his best to become everybody's friend, while at the same time stirring up shit with his ignorant outspoken ways, pretty soon people get wise to him & before you know it there's a mob with torches & pitchforks chasing him off the edge of a cliff, end of story. But is it ? Years later an enigmatic stranger comes to town, tries to fit in by sharing loadout pictures etc, but pretty soon starts to show his true ignorant colours, & comes out that he's the thick as shit illegitimate son of the guy the town hounded out, intent on avenging daddy. But it always ends the same way lol😏2 points -

This 50+ old cnut is quite literally lost for words, just when you think you've seen it all, along comes an Internet warrior whose extreme ignorance is only surpassed by his stupidity. Usually I'd counter with some lighthearted memes, but there's nothing that even comes close to this level of bollocks. All I will say is look around, admire anybody over 50, because with your shit eating attitude, you ain't ever gonna reach it lol 😈2 points -

I have got to the bottom of what’s occurring and thought I would share so anyone having the same issue might have a chance of setting it right. So the hop assembly is perfect. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. The bucking itself is in perfect condition with zero wear and everything else is exactly how it should be. the anomaly I found was on the nozzle guide. I noticed some abnormal wear along the edge where the hop dial goes over when the BCG is in its forward position. It looks like the nozzle guide plastic is ever so slightly warped towards the front end. There is a slight increment/curve upwards in the plastic which from what I can gather is causing it to catch on the hop dial (there was a slight knick out the dial in the spot I would have my hop set and wear/burs along the edge of the guide). As the dial is click forward to turn off it stands to reason that with every shot fired, as the carrier is returning to its forward position it is catching on the dial and turning it off with a few clicks every shot you take. This all rings true to the symptoms so I believe I have my culprit. the nozzle guide is very malleable so I have bent it a little, flattening out the curve and I have also shaved a mm of the plastic away along the edge in question incase it rides back up again. Inevitably I will order the AG Nozzle Guide as it’s made of a harder plastic and less likely for this to happen again but in the mean time the temp fix seems to be working as intended. I hope this information helps people experiencing the same issue now or in the future. From looking around it doesn’t appear to be a common issue so it’s nice to have an actual cause and solution.2 points -

When I bought a surplus one last year, it was a little bit “stale “ smelling in the bladder. I let it soak with a tablespoon of bleach filled with lukewarm water a good dozen rinses out after an overnight soak, likewise with the hose and bite valve and it’s good as new 😉1 point -

it's certainly possible to replace feed springs, maple airsoft do replacements although they can be hard to find. i've also done it replacing springs/followers in e&l mags with cyma ones, but that would mean buying whole mags which would kinda defeat the purpose.1 point -

My apologies you are correct the first video is in fact people from the UK. But, and this isn't a dick swinging competition, having done karate for a number of years there was never once a strike first attitude. In fact the complete opposite. Striking another person was taught as the last resort if all other avenues had failed. There is definitely a difference between attitudes towards fighting/defense in the US and the UK as well as other countries around the world. The UK has had some very high profile cases where a single punch from someone claiming a preemptive strike for self preservation as self defense has killed someone. What I was trying to articulate rightly or wrongly is that a preemptive strike isn't always the best course of action.1 point -

This is actually so far from what is taught in the vast majority, if not all of martial arts its untrue unless of course you are referring to the likes of MMA which is more a hash up of offensive techniques taught in various martial arts. Likewise in security or personal safety the first things you are taught is de-escalation techniques or to remove yourself from the situation only. What you are describing is probably the reason for the majority of "self defense" killings in the United States.1 point -
I stick to 7.4v Li-Po's in standard AEG's unless manufacturer specifies 11.1v is OK. (I only have one AEG that uses 11.1 which is a Lonex BAW)1 point

QFT. Of course, on the internet, anyone can LARP as a psychopath. I'm guessing that our local gangsta kid had no dad, or too many temporary ones. Which I suspect is also the extent of the gangsta kid's rufty-tufty experience. Me, I keep it old school, street style. Does he actually add any value here? I've had him blocked for as long as I can recall. Which is of course only about 10 minutes given my advanced years.1 point -

Inspired by the Springfield V12s, I present the Detonics... V6? This is eventually going to be mocked up (with further inspiration from Marui’s Vorpal Bunny) with smoothed grips, a front rail, and a battleship grey paintjob. It is an ARMY R45 with an ACM Shield RMS, a Nova trigger, and Shooters Design 150% recoil springs. Not pictured yet are the Army extended magazine release and modified grips, which have been filled with putty in readiness for relief cuts and sanded smooth. Milling the slide and the adaptor plate allowed me to sink the optic 3.5mm into the slide. This actually lower-third-cowitnesses with the factory sights, somehow. Custom milled and drilled slide and barrel ports. The ARMY’s outer barrel is stainless steel and broke one of my milling bits. Lesson learned about using them to drill holes... Total cost so far: ~£1201 point -

I put a load of 1 litre bottles in the freezer to take with me last time, but the panic and rush of getting the lad sorted for his D of E expedition meant I forgot to take them. Ironically I was at Sentinel in Dunstable and his expedition site was less than 2 miles away, so there was no need to panic, nor get his mate's mum to take him. Nowt like proper planning eh? 🤣🤣🤣1 point -
