What have you made?
Skullchewer and 2 others reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Needed to knock up a couple more goggle fan units and a simplified goggle-strap clip to mount a Poundland £1 powerbank. Total all-in cost, including the powerbanks ~£4 each. The earlier prototypes seem to work pretty well, but I need to stress-test over the summer when it's really hot and sweaty. Thinking of a dual-fan version with airflow guide vanes to direct the air over a wider area3 points -
After annoying a few folks on the electric gun section, bit the bullet and bought... TM Devgru, 2 batteries and 4 PTS mags from the folks at firesupport. Only mod is the lipo conversion and she will stay stock (forgive the carpet folks, the misses loves the colours) The one thing I did not realise was the length of the PTS mags (Mag on the left is for my G&G scar) I'm running an old Viper Hong Kong police vest (the one with the elastic straps that go between your legs and stop the vest riding up) and the I can only get one mag in a pouch comfortably now. Looks like it's new vest/plate carrier time lol...3 points

Throwing pyro after getting hit?
Floperator and one other reacted to Crazy_Crystal for a topic
Tbh I'm of the opinion that unless they're shot before the pyro is struck then it's much the same as two people shooting each other at the same time... I.e both people should probably take their hit. We are talking about a window of around a second between striking the pyro and throwing it which isn't actually that long to make a decision. Obviously it's down to site rules and if you can make it safe again then you probably should as well, if only for the sake of sportsmanship. At the end of the day you do need to get rid of the explody thing or it's gonna hurt.2 points -

Throwing pyro after getting hit?

i'll be honest, i don't think i've ever seen this happen, at least not in a way that was noteworthy. tbh, if i thought about it i'd say drop it, because i can imagine that'd be an amusing way to frag your own team. although that said, if you dropped it i doubt any team mates would take it judging by the prevalance of people assuming freindly fire doesnt count regardless of the site's policy.2 points -

So a little delayed update, I fitted and tested the blowmaster 1j rocket valve, and it dropped my fps from 275 to 255 with 0.36’s … very pleased with that 😁😁2 points

Just finished another weathered paint job. This is 'Starry'*. I wanted it to look like it's been dug up out of a Ukrainian garden after 20 years and recalled to active service... and I think it worked. 😁 Method: I stripped it back to bare metal, primed and repainted black so that when the paint inevitably chips, it's exposes the metal. I then used acrylic rust colours from brown to orange, dabbed on with foam in patches. The whole lot was then covered in an uneven textured 'technical' acrylic to give it the caked-up finish. The wood was sanded to remove the top layer then I used an aggressive sanding brush disc to carve runs into it. It was then doused in an oil-coloured acrylic wash to make it look distressed and a bit rotten. Finally, it was airbrushed with layers of matte varnish and chipping agent. Long live the 'Kraine! 🇺🇦 *Real name 'staryy brudnyy svoloch' (старий брудний сволоч) which is Ukrainian for 'Old Dirty Bastard'.2 points -

Throwing pyro after getting hit?
Tactical Pith Helmet reacted to THE CHIEF for a topic
At awa if it mid throw let it fly. If its just struck and you get hit you drop it at your feet. Had this before. One good sniper shot resulted in taking four of us with a friendly grenade. Was a good laugh!1 point -
I'm guessing not, I mean nowhere within an hour/2 hours of me allows any form of lights at all however Germany is a big place so maybe in other states its allowed. The only rule which I know for a fact is Germany wide is no full auto1 point

Or just a kneejerk reaction to having lit pyro in your hands ?, it's not like getting shot with a 6mm BB is overwhelming, as if you'd been hit by a .303 🤔1 point

Throwing pyro after getting hit?
Jbuc95 reacted to Skullchewer for a topic
Never seen this happen, but I would imagine that part of their thinking would be that they paid good money for this nade, they're bloody well gonna chuck it! Not saying that's right or wrong, but you can see how that might be a factor. Damnit, beaten to the shot!1 point -
Throwing pyro after getting hit?
Floperator reacted to AirsoftTed for a topic
I think it's a tricky one. Ideally, once shot you'd drop it at your feet and then the ensuing 'friendly fire' would be observed. Realistically, I can't see that happening. Having had Pyro go off right at my feet before it wasn't pleasant. I think the best solution would be to lob it in a safe direction away from friendlies and the opposite team - but that requires A) a safe direction with no players present and B) the presence of mind to do so quickly whilst you're probably still sucking your teeth at being hit in the knuckles or something1 point -
If it's paper pyro, once it's struck you have to get shot of it (obviously). If they were in the process of letting fly then they're not going to not follow through. Personally I'd be pretty miffed at having to take a hit from pyro that left their hand AFTER they were hit (assuming they actually called it at that time) but that's up to the marshals on the day.1 point

Potato Cam alert. How do people expect to sell stuff with just a single shitty picture. And £200 for an ARX-160 is pretty laughable as it's the Sportline model (Short barrel - Shiny plastic. RRP: £180). And they are a bit shit (Source: I owned a Proline version back in the day).1 point -

I can see that for something collectable being mint in box would add value, however when we're talking about second hand rifs then to me they add nothing of value. Especially when said rif looks like it's been kicked around the car park a few times. I agree they can be useful, but not enough to justify wanting more for it1 point -

If Lego, yes. Off the shelf, still in production and 'readily' available, not so much. Boxes are useful though if you don't have the multi gun case for game day purchases.1 point -

Friday will become next Monday, then his dog will eat his crypto-wallet while he's rushing it to the vet after it gets bitten by a radioactive spider, or whatever other fantasy story he comes up with next. Any "proof" of postage he gives you is likely to be fake too, and in the unlikely event that you do receive any package, it's going to be a zip-lock bag containing empty promises and a turd. Sorry to be so harsh, I know you're the victim here, but I cannot see any realistic way that you'll get back what he's stolen short of having it seized by PSNI. I know this feels very personal to you, but this is nothing to him, he's a professional fraudster and liar who has mugged off his real life mates without hesitation or regrets, and is doubtless fobbing off a couple of other victims on the side as we're discussing this. This is just business as usual to him, he'll have heard this all before, many times.1 point -
