I've started wearing one and I must admit, it's quite nice to re-watch clips when you've had a good day! I played last Sunday and the last game was a free for all, I did rather well! The game ended with me and the other remaining player trading shots and doing a 1 Vs 1 to settle the outcome. I won, but not after shooting him in his dump pouch 6 or 7 times. When I get some time to edit this I'll upload it to YouTube. It will not be a cheater shaming video because he clearly didn't feel the hits! Plus it's also nice to send my mates videos of me shooting them!3 points

Just came across this which states the same thing I said earlier. https://www.kingdomofairsoft.com/postage-guidelines They also assume we can classify airsoft guns as 'Low-powered air weapons' “Arms and Ammunition - low powered air weapons Low-powered air weapons (air rifles, air guns and air pistols), together with lead pellets and other airgun and airsoft projectiles, can be sent but are subject to the following conditions: These items must be sent on an express48 service only These items must be sent via the Post Office only Enhanced compensation cover is not available”2 points

the TMs have a semi and auto select built into the safety now just to add I under stand the appeal of sticking to the same platform for mag compatibility but this is airsoft there is no guarantee that your current mags will feed with any of the guns you choose.1 point

Gonna have to take care of that tomorrow. May also have something special on the way that I hop will fit in the AIP sights1 point

You could always go to the manufacturers website and view the manual which gives an exploded / strip diagram of the various Warthogs (or the exploded view which is the direct page). Page 14 of the manual, bottom right shows the 9" and 7" differences for the foregrip unit / barrel. Having never had a G&G before, I couldn't tell you if there are any gearbox variations between length variations. https://www.guay2.com/en/product/detail-96 Probably best to keep it untouched for at least one day out - that's the best chance you will get to find any problems that need fixing, especially if you have any sorta warranty to fall back on. Sometimes it's good to learn the faults before you fix them, at least then you'll know what difference any extra purchases do for you. Just be sure to take a backup!1 point

Double eagle has been around for years ,they where one of the first Chinese cloners they where famous(or more like infamous) for el cheapo AEGs and spring shotguns(which surprisingly where very good) the disappeared a few yrs ago but recently re-emerged with this new range of very good quality polymer bodied fully programmable guns . Tackle is correct , I’ve got a snow wolf AUG and it has a ‘proper’ trigger and there is a mod you can do that allows a traditional trigger as apposed to the two stage one on all the others .1 point -

Forgive me for sounding confused, but are you sure you’ve put everything back correctly? I mean, pretty sure on an ak, semi is all the way down, auto is the middle position……1 point

Kind of hard to tell at the moment. That top one is a CYMA CM.045A, right? £170 from PatrolBase if they had any (but they don't), £120 plus taxes and shipping from TaiwanGun if they shipped (but they don't), £141 from GunFire, and they might ship, but who knows how much you'd get stung for on extra costs and delays. So at this point I don't know if there really is what you'd call a UK market price, there's just what someone who's after one is willing to pay. (Checks bank account...)1 point -

Cheers, saw a lad with a gopped pdw a few weeks ago and scoffed at his weapons inferiority. Not at all, I remember reading your comments and having a play. I tried to flex the grip about but couldn't get it anywhere near to being an issue. Maybe your threads somewhere are a little off?1 point

Nice to see an ungopped solution. Do you find that tracer deflecting your shots? I couldn't get on with a similarly sized Lighter-S and have had to go up to a Spitfire with a larger inner tunnel.1 point

So for those that may stumble across the thread in the futureverse I have finally come up with a solution. I picked up a cheapo weapon light/surefire clone that had a detachable rail mount. Drilled two holes in the plastic handguard and just direct mounted this on. Pressure pad on the other side of the handguard. Doesn't block irons, foregrip can still be taken off for battery replacement (have not re-wired), no "goppy" rails and didn't cost that much. Will report back when if all falls of in the first game.1 point

Druid799 reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
Few options. Dab of glue on the hex bit, let it set before trying to remove. If that doesnt work a torx might, but you'll want the right size. After that something like grinding a slot in the head to take it out with a flatblade screwdriver. And finally as mentioned get the big guns and drill it out. In future, i really suggest investing in a good quality set of hex drivers, really does make all the difference for the small screws you find in these things.1 point -
FPS too high out the box?
Nick G reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Wait whuuut? - you cracked open the gearbox to change the nozzle on (I'm assuming) a brand new gun? Do you mean the hop up rubber/nub? Whilst a Combat Machine's barrel is made from what appears to be compressed tin foil and should be amongst the first things replaced, the stock hop unit/rubber work just fine out of the box. But horses for course n'all that. Anyway... If you are *just* above your site's limit (say, 10fps or so), load some hi-caps up and put a thousands BB's down range. The spring should settle by itself. If you are well above the limit (20fps), then you'll need to either cut/replace the spring - assuming you don't want to revert to stock components. Oh, and welcome to the forum....🙂1 point -

Great advice on the uniforms, ive book marked a few pages as you mentioned the Belgium and Greek stuff and it does look very similiar, i'll take a more indepth look tomorrow when i get up. I'll also have a look at the webbing on ebay too as i only looked for five mins at it on there in the past. Blancoing is not a problem, i was considering doing it to the canvas heat shroud on the suppresor anyway but i was also thinking of just doing a paracord wrap around it as the canvas slightly blocks the front sight and a paracord wrap would be more streamlined although less authentic. On an unrelated note modern military surplus uniforms were cheap as hell at the militaria fair, i picked up two MTP and Two DPM British surplus shirts for 50p each, two MTP trousers for £5 each and a DPM and MTP windproof jacket for £10 each. It's just the older stuff that is over the top. I was contemplating a T-Stock for the STEN but i can imagine just that piece of steel on its own would of been £50+. Maybe next time.1 point -

OP. Try before you buy. You will either love or hate. Expensive if it turns out to be hate. Stick with the TM's and dont dick around by "upgrading" their internals. It will make them worse.1 point

John_W reacted to Adolf Hamster for a topic
when a site quotes a limit as "fps" they don't mean raw velocity, they mean velocity (in feet per second) using a 0.2g bb. this is a statement of kinetic energy, but instead of using joules it's using a convoluted unit that mixes metric and imperial and sounds like it's just a velocity measurement to really confuse people. kinda the same way you fill your car with 50 litres of petrol but measure the fuel economy in miles per gallon. we just have to be awkward in this country. so in the case of a 400"fps" limit, 400fps on 0.2g = 1.49J of energy, a 0.4g bb fired with 1.49J of energy will be travelling roughly 282fps fortunately, there are calculators available to help out: https://www.zerooneairsoft.com/airsoft_fps_calculator just because you've said that i reckon we should use obol-barleycorns per microjiffy and yes, apparently the jiffy is actually a measurement of time equal to 1/65,536 of a second.....1 point -

My best man was a coloured gentleman. I don't mean lots of colours just one main colour.Black He was a groundwork on a site I was working at. We started talking and struck up a good friendship. And as @Tacklesays we could say anything without it being offensive for either of us. It was always a laugh if he was laying tarmac or I was spreading snowcem plaster lol Regards1 point -

Everyone goes through this regardless of hobby I believe. I find with this kind of feeling, there are two categories: 1) Temporary and 2) Permanent. Temporary This is the most common, in my opinion. Eventually you just feel tired, bored, burned out, etc and that all leads to a lack of motivation to take part in a hobby you once really enjoyed. Regardless of the cause, it usually best to take a step back and see if a break is all you need, no matter how long. Whether you sell your gear or hang on to it in the mean time is a personal choice. What usually ends in regret is selling your gear because you want the cash for something else that isn't necessary. Duration of this phase can vary wildly - just take it a day at a time would be my advice here. Permanent This category is one you'll only know you're in with hindsight, either you're taking that break an realize you have zero desire to ever try the hobby again or you've sold up and something makes you remember the former hobby and you know you're never going back in that moment. I'm made this realisation with gaming a few years back. I used to be an avid gamer, could spend all day every day playing. Especially competitive games but I just don't care for it anymore. At least not in the way I once did, now I play single player RPG games, not for the game but for the stories. Which considering the state of gaming is far and few between these days. I know I'm trending towards no longer gaming at all but I'm comfortable in the knowledge that I just find different things take my interest now. Its not something external to the hobby bringing me down like depression or stress. Usually when its an outside factor, you need to resolve that issue before you start throwing stuff out because once it passes you'll just regret your clouded decision. Either way, there's nothing wrong with feeling like this unless it some outside factor causing it. Time changes everything and everyone, and your interest and hobbies are no different. Take a step back and see if you just need to let it sit until the spark comes back or if something external is smothering that spark that needs addressing. Most importantly, remember that your friends won't change because of this. Even if what initially started the friendship was a common hobby like airsoft. Those mates will still be down for going to the pub or whatever alternative works for you to socialise and hangout. Those who do disappear were never your friend to begin with but a hobby based colleague. You'd chat around the table in the safe area and rush objectives together like work colleagues on a break or working on a project together but once you move to a new job, you don't talk to them anymore.1 point
