Yea Iβve seen this one as well , only way I could see the recoil effecting a scope enough that you actually notice it is if youβve gone out of your way to find and then buy literally the cheapest/nastiest/poorest quality scope you could find ! π³ ππ2 points -

It appears our new guy is a serial offender. Google shows it can be bought new for Β£55 less https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/lancer-tactical-m4-cqbr-mk18-aeg-in-black-lt-02b.html2 points -
PLEASE don't fall into that trap of believing all the bollocks online that says "yeah TM recoils are great, once you change X, Y and Z". Leave it the fuck alone, it'll be fine. Plus, any excuse to repost this: As for contacts, they even do varifocals now! Weird as fuck to use but they do them! Plate carriers are sweaty as fuck so definitely check out belt kit but don't rule out chest rigs either. There's loads of them out there that have plenty of variety.2 points

Personally, I'd rather buy a new one from a reputable vendor for the same price than trust my dosh to some dude that registered on the forums 12 hours ago. On the other hand, I have a valid defence, which i would assume is something this seller isn't too worried about. That reminds me. I really want a TM Gen 4 Glock. I must get round to ordering one.2 points -

This video from the timestamp 4:25 covers it: I only ever really use Hobbyking Turnigy LiPos, but they don't have any 2s LiPo stocked in the UK Warehouse. I've tried Vapextech, but they just don't hold the voltage under load compared to Turnigy. Giant Power is pretty good from what I've heard - I know a few RC guys that use Giant Power packs on model aircraft. They've been around for a while now, I would be reasonably confident that they can get the job done for Airsoft guns. I reckon this one will fit the gun, but I would get a ruler out and double check the stock internal measurements before ordering. The S65 is still a really good charger for the money. Whilst there are some fancier looking units (and complete overkill for Airsoft), it's still a solid choice.2 points -
New to Airsoft; what to buy?
AirsoftRich and one other reacted to Tactical Pith Helmet for a topic
I have an astigmatism and suffer from the dreaded hyperhidrosis too. Contacts for astig are a thing and work fine. I actually tried non-astig (read cheap) lenses and the difference is minimal as long as I don't want to read/focus up very close. Certainly fine for airsoft. Worth a punt if you order them online. I have to use mesh, as even the best goggles with Cat Crap applied and a fan get covered in sweat even if they don't fog. Sweatbands do work. Take at least three, dry them/hang them on your mirrors as you drive home as they start to stink. Instead of a beanie/cap etc, wear a crocheted prayer cap. Seriously, they come in khaki/OD/black etc and camo the head whilst being really cool. Cost a couple of quid on Ebay. I use webbing, but you can get plate carriers that use water carrying plates that can be cooled and used as hydration bladders too.2 points -

Welcome Ollie, Are you into skirmishing or milsim? Sorry to hear about your two mates. (They're going to miss it for sure) You don't need a team for skirmishing and you'll probably meet regulars if you go to the same site a few times.1 point

Off to Redcon-2 with a group of friends I played with a decade or so ago on Sunday. Excited to try out a new site, and see some old pals for the first time in forever. This'll be the first time I've gone to a game with folks in forever, suffice to say I doubt I'll be seeing much of them once we're out if the safe zone!1 point

AirsoftRich reacted to Druid799 for a topic
Iβve currently got 7 recoils and over the past 14+yrs ? Iβve had around 15 and can happily tell you the only ones Iβve ever had problems with were 3 βupgradedβ ones . 1st was done by my self and a mate , 2nd by a good site tech and the 3rd by a very well respected TM recoil upgrade specialist , now donβt get me wrong all of them did perform better after the upgrades BUT none of them lasted that long before work was needed to maintain this improved performance . Where as Iβve got a Socom and 74su that are both totally stock bar a deans connectors fitted and there 13 and 12yrs old respectively . So I think that speaks volumes for the brand ?1 point -

@Lozart what a cracking funny video that is! π Basically if it isnβt broken donβt fix it. @Fatboy40 One of the F&O marshalls said about those but he couldnβt remember the maker of them he said to just google it. Along with the masses of other information I have been taking in that one slipped my mind and you have just reminded me and given me the site. So thanks for that. They look good! I am looking up some sweat bands and some anti fog wipes and going from there. If that doesnβt work mesh it is.1 point -

Hmm, Airsoft World say mini-Tamiya, but then retailers say a lot of things. Deans would be better. Given the stocking issue at the moment, what are we recommending? Component Shop? https://www.componentshop.co.uk/batteries/batteries-airsoft/batteries-airsoft-li-po-packs/batteries-airsoft-li-po-packs-74v.html SkyRC S65 charger is the current recommendation, last I checked.1 point

I love sewing machines. I have two down my shed. I use them to sew things - like ripped school uniform for the kids. I've been learning to make kites (another hobby) with ripstop nylon. Planning to make a 6ft Rokkaku kite and stick a camera on it... Oh....you mean AEGs...my bad....1 point -

Sorry it came a cross as referring to all guns , was simply saying even with your narrow window thereβs still a very good chance youβll not get the answer you need on a forum . Iβm also a great believer in NOT screwing about with TM Recoils bar swapping to a deans on AKβs , Scarβs , Socomβs and G36βs and getting rid of the QC batteries in the M4 platforms . Iβm VERY skeptical that you could upgrade a cheaper gun to run better than a TM EBB out of the box for less , very skeptical indeed . You wouldnβt have any trouble hopping up to a .28 through them either , just the speed the bb will be traveling at will decrease so your target will have more of a chance to dodge it if they see it coming .1 point -

If you fancy a read of my build thread, its essentially a step by step process for building a decent VSR 10. Lots of issues ran into and solved, some by myself and some with advice from most of the chaps who have commented above me. A lot of stripping down and rebuilding as @alxndrhll has said, but I got there in the end and now I never use it π I blame my MTW!! My one bit of advice would be to get your own chrono. You really can't build a sniper without one! All the best!1 point

Like fuck it will. Wall thickness of the Specna 'Quality' body is really thin, even for Airsoft Standards - I have a stripped Edge receiver sat in front of me right now that I'm just putting back together. Again.1 point -

Only advice to throw on the pile is to get the internals as you want them before spunking cash up the wall on externals. It doesn't matter how nice it looks, if you can't hit a barn door with a banjo you're not going to want to use it for very long. It's worth doing some hunting on YouTube as to what's involved with upgrading and fettling, you can figure out from there if it's something you'd want to do yourself. If it turns out to not be something you want to do something like the TAC/SRS/T11/SSG would probably be a wiser choice than a VSR. Having used or owned most of them, it's much of muchness in my opinion. Spend hours and hours (and a small fortune) so you can take the nuts off a fly at 70m to spend most of your time shooting things within 50-60m (or as is frequently my experience, within MED having to use your sidearm). I will say I personally think teching your own bolties should be something you invest some time into learning how to do it, gradually building knowledge of what things do and don't mess with your air seal/consistency/accuracy/smoothness of bolt pull etc etc. But I get that it isn't for everyone. Granted this comes with a degree of hypocrisy, I do all my own tech work on HPA, GBB(R) and springers but wouldn't touch the insides of an AEG with a barge pole. We all have our comfort zones π€·ββοΈ.1 point

New Site
Hudson reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Could be quite interesting, but as @Samurai says, it could become quite stale, quite quickly for regular players if the layout is too fixed. @Enid_PuceflangeI doubt that the venue will play out 'tactically' once the Speedsofters arrive. My perfect CQB site would be fully modular (wooden buildings on industrial castors) to change the layout, low cap mags only (to reduce the trigger spamming) and separate game days altogether for speedsoft.1 point -
