    THE TM MWS thread

I had a problem on the weekend where a handful of mags were only getting around 10 shots out as well. Turns out the Coleman propane was almost empty and not providing as much gas into the mag as I thought it was. It sounded like it was filling, but obviously not haha. Changed to a new can and wham, back to full clearing mags and not the sad degradation of a depleting mag. Perhaps the WE gas is too weak or just kaput?

Long ones for long stocks like an m16 stock. Also be careful with G&P buffer tubes as newer batches are meant for their own receivers, real steel threading. Best to get a 6position from angry gun.

If you can procure stock TM parts, probably best option. Shouldnt have a problem as most of us use propane on stock internals. Otherwise the Gunsmodify nozzle if you can find it. Have you noticed anything wonky when racking the charging handle?

Before you keep saying the TM MWS is pathetic, perhaps you ought to revert your gun to stock if you made any modifications, check components to see if theres something out of place. Considering how many people are in this thread, no one has called this platform garbage. Most, if not all GBB have plastic internals so I dont get your complaint here. If your mags are spewing out the gas, sure sounds like something is not returning properly. Hop-up chamber is clean etc? Things are moving freely as intended? Maybe post some photos of the inside of your upper/lower?

Hm I cant find this Wurth Dry Chain lube in Canada, however would cycling dry lube do the job as well? Otherwise I might just stick with thick synthetic grease lol

Propane as well, just use it straight from the can as it was noted its better to do that so you dont get silicone oil all over the internals. I just leave my mags in with dry propane if Im gonna game it again the next week and then use a separate can with oil in it for maintenance/storage purposes to keep it pressurized.

You could always also try the Laylax metal hop-up arm, acts almost the same as the SixG nub. I was running that last week on .28s and it was shooting pretty straight at 75ft.

Is the hop setting to zero hop after a few shots? And like I said, you had re-constructed it, perhaps you didnt put it back together properly? You could always count how many clicks youre at after a few shots and see if its being shifted from your zero (or just mark where its zero'ed for you).

Maybe you didn't put it back together properly? When the hop-up goes into the receiver there is some left and right play, like 1mm on each side. You'd probably want to try to get it to stay centered as best you can as you tighten it. Reading the entire thread, there is nothing but praise for the MWS with stock internals, or with mainly stock and a SixG brass nub. Im sure if youre regretting your purchase youll easily sell it in no time

Ahh yea, I will check with Impulse101 and see if they ship to Canada!

Welp, replaced the stock hopup arm with the metal Laylax and the gun is shooting like butter!! Downside though, I dropped a mag onto concrete when I was placing it into a dump pouch and the feed lip bid me farewell. Does anyone have any experience with the Ace 1 Arms feed lip replacements? Everywhere is sold out of stock MWS ones, so Im gonna take it that the stock ones are superior...

It definitely is tight, I will muck around with it some more. I remember reading someone on the this thread where their hop adjuster was decreasing hop after a few shots, forgot how they fixed it. @HorribleSkrub had an issue, but he had over hop issues haha. @ajumma had aftermarket bolt/nozzle guide interfering with the hop wheel. I did notice in one instance of testing, I lost two clicks of hop, but again, 12 clicks of hop the BB shouldnt be rolling out? Unless my adjuster spring isnt applying enough tension :x The nozzle couldnt be over pushing the bbs though as at a full 21 click the bb stays (thats one good thing lol), or could it?! Hnng stock mws y u do this to me

Interesting, finished my build for my mws and decided to muck around with it. I noticed after every shot, the shot after the bb would roll out and this is with a good 12 clicks of hop applied Full 21 clicks seems good. Anyone else had this issue with propane? Couldnt be a bolt bounce as it's happening every other shot. Brand new and stock internals, unless I over tightened the outerbarrel with the PTS handguard and shifted the hop. WIll disassemble and report back and tinker with how many clicks it takes to not roll out, but essentially it shouldnt roll out even with 1-2 clicks?
