  1. Don't join any Facebook airsoft groups and ask for advice, it's filled with cunts Stay here, it's nicer

  3. For me it would have been to stockpile RIF's from Taiwangun pre-BREXIT. Of course that doesn't apply to anyone coming in to the hobby now. I would advise to quickly get it into your head, that what @Rogerborg says about all AEG's essentially doing the same thing is true and if you play mostly woodland, you're not going to get that much use out of a pistol. So when you get your defence, start with a budget to mid-range AEG, replace the inner barrel and hop rubber (learn how to do this yourself!) Use that until you've been around a while and if at that point you're really craving the newest/best AEG that's fine, but keep your old one as a backup. For a sidearm, just get a mid-sized TM and don't pay it much mind after that. That being said, it's also fine to get something for "the collection" but do it with acceptance that it's a luxury, don't try to convince yourself that you "need" it.

  4. Actually use a gun before spending the same amount on "upgrades". Often you'll get bugger all improvements. Decent fieldcraft will beat Gucci kit. If you're going to send your gun away to a tech then do your research first. To many people call themselves a tech but don't know what they're doing. Play your way. Just because someone else wants to play a certain way doesn't mean you have to.

  5. Don't buy any of Avenger63 over priced shite on the classifieds. Be careful of buyers near Dundonald, Northern Ireland, they are probably Stephen Glennie trying to scam you *AGAIN*. Always use Paypal and send an Invoice or request an Invoice. NEVER use Friends and Family.

  6. Don't waste money on cheap snipers, anyway. Upgrades are often side-grades. Heavier BBs are the cheapest real upgrade. Most successful YouTubers are presenting a fictional narrative, not a documentary. The rules are more what you'd call guidelines. Play the way you'd like others to play, even and especially if your standards exceed those of the site's marshals and their mates. And meme magic is more real than Toyko Marui magic.

  7. Spend as little as possible until you've done at least 3 or 4 games and even then, listen to advice as most cheap Airsoft beginner kit is a waste of money. Those cool goggles, Shemagh, viper combat vest, shit fabric holsters, uncomfortable shit facemasks....it's all shit, slow down on the wasteful spending.

  17. HPA is not magic pixie dust. It does not immediately make your gun the bestestest around. GBB is fun and not as much of a pain in the arse as people make it out to be (if you do your research and buy the right thing - which hopefully you'd be doing anyways!) And as a "wish other people knew/did this", if you're going to tinker with your gun buy a bloody chrono ?

  19. Do wear what's cool... temperature-wise I get very sweaty running around in my kit (British Army MTP under-shirt + jacket, combat trousers, belt rig) so always take along a couple of undershirts to change into (one for lunchtime, one for end of the day) so I don't get too cold when I stop running around. That's even during the winter. (Maybe I need to invest in some high quality running or hiking undershirts) I tried a cheapo combat vest from eBay. Made me sweat horribly, so I remain wary of plate-carriers and other stuff that'll add to the heat and sweat retention around the torso.

  20. So the new grenade shell has now been printed in TPU, it's bendy, will take impacts and have currently programed 3 sounds into it (for some reason it won't recognise other files so I'm working on why) Body has been Modifed, buttons now sink into pre cut holes https://youtu.be/JtmdE7lSd3Y

  25. Looks like a standard G&G shell with ambi control gears added... This *should* work - but nothing in Airsoft is guaranteed to be a drop-in fit, even with the same manufacturer (looking at you ICS): https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gg-gen-2-gearbox-verii-for-8mm-bearingcase-only

  32. Just to echo what everyone else has said really. - My G&G cm16 raider out performed my LCT AK out the box. So price isn't everything. - play how you want to play, find what you like doing before buying all the gnus. - you don't need all the shiny 'operator' kit to start with. Unless you want to look like a member of 24 SAS 'the Autists'. - try different sites.

  34. That's why I use 300 lumen instead of 1000 on my pistol and never buying flashlights higher than 300 for my primaries. Yes, there is more to it than just lumen but it's not difficult to be a dick regarding flashlights. I had occasions when someone put a strobe on an elevatod platform and your shadow gives away your position even before you peek. I always refrained to shoot other people's equipment on purpose but I was considering it....?

  35. Strobe is such a cancer feature I'm always against it because it gives you huge advantage against anyone else. It's not fun to play against it and it's annoying. Any decent site marshall mentions and asks if everyone is okay with it. Also, if anyone is sensitive or has epilepsy it's out of question.

  40. @Stillers80 I run my M908A as a DMR, with an M130 spring shooting 0.40g BB's. I'll read through this thread but feel free to bombard me with questions if I can help at all Edit: This is pretty much how it looks at the moment... https://i.imgur.com/z0AVJpA.jpg ... but with the metal receiver being a lot more worn plus a an IMI Defense vertical grip on the handguard. Edit 2: Be careful about what you expect you'll be getting regarding a DMR from just a spring change, as to get a genuinely effective DMR you have to go way beyond that. For example, off the top of my head, these are what have been swapped into my M908A (lots of parts from AK2M4)... - 410mm Maple Leaf (aka ML) AEG inner barrel. - ML 70 degree MR bucking. - ML Omega nub. - ZCI rotary hop unit (the stock hop unit has a pants arm). - Maxx Model 21.25mm nozzle. - Maxx Model cylinder head. (However, I'd personally say that the "XT M4 CYLINDER HEAD ALUMINIUM (PAD)" is as good if not better) - ZCI 4/5 cylinder. - XT 14 tooth CNC rack piston. - GearParts / XT M130 spring. - XT 22 TPA high torque motor. ... at some point I'll buy a Maxx Model M4A-PRO hop unit for it, like I have in my DE M904E, as they're just so good and the solid metal nub work perfectly with the ML MR bucking (don't buy a Retro Arms CNC hop unit as they don't fit in the DE M900's, plus the finishing on two I bought were poor with noticeable burrs).

  41. You might find that the heavier ammo gives better range without needing to swap out parts. I found this was the case for both my galaxy MP5K and cyma M4. If you're switching to heavier ammo anyway then this could save you some cash

    Gas Pistol Advice

And have a look if your replica has extended magazine option. You can spend a lot more just on pouches and low cap gas mags than buying 2 50 rounders. Also, it looks so cool when a big stick is bigger than the gun. ?
