Hey guys show me your mad boneyard scrap heap challenge guns you made from broken crap! It’s honestly my favourite kind of airsoft build no matter what it is. Here are my two best examples. An Ak74su that I think started as a broken cyma with no gearbox or stock. Then got a stock off eBay one day. A very gucci v3 gearbox off here. A perun mosfet. Short strokes gears. Shs motor some other second hand bits. And my speedy boi gi capa made from like. Three different eBay lots and some upgrades etc with allll that stuff on it it’s cost me maybe £170 in total. Let me see what abominable things you guys made

Specna G36s are (early pre-EFCS) ARES/S&T clones - they use microswitch triggers. They don't last a long as traditional trigger switches (although a debounce enabled Mosfet will help) but are easy enough to replace. From the sample of 1 I've had eyes on - the plastic on the Specna is much nicer than JG/CYMA, more 'polymer', less ABS feeling. And remove the blowback shuttle - they are made of cheese and will break quickly (same with the ARE and S&T guns) Very comprehensive review here G36s just don't get enough love these days - a shame really, they are the only non-M4 gun I really like in terms of ergonomics.

I was told by @proffrink that google has been basically nuking all emails that the forums send out. Until that is fixed - you're not getting any emails from the forums. And don't try and change your email address in your account settings - you will never receive the verification email and will be locked out from the forums.

The youth of today …… 😂 Welcome back. Price of everything’s gone up, hell I ordered a weapon light from one site, two months later they cancelled the order and now it’s £10 more expensive everywhere! Not to mention having a shortlist of RIFs I’m thinking of buying that have all gone up by a small fortune in the last couple of months. Bloody supply issues and the weakest £ we’ve seen in decades ……

Just to add I've got 3 DE guns and run them all on 11.1v, never had a problem. My 904G must be coming up to 2 years old now, abuse full auto now and again, never opened it up to service the gearbox (sounds a little noisy now so might have to), still has the same RPM and FPS/joule it had out the box. Also as it uses a V2 gearbox it will accept parts from your M4s

I have a second hand TM 1911. It's reliable. It does what you need a pistol to do. My lad has a well abused G17. When it finally refused to cycle (after two years plus IIRC), I must have cleaned about two ounces of crap out of it. The side was damaged by all the grit graunching around in it. Wet and dry and grease fixed it good as new. You can fuck about with other makes and get good results, but I'd rather buy once, cry once.

Finally bought myself a TM Desert Eagle HK GBB. Was on Action Hobbies, in unused condition with a spare magazine for £80 so thought it rude not to.

@Madhouse sounds like a great session. Also seems your doing it right getting eyepro etc first before your UKARA and not getting a 2 tone. I too bought many accessories and sights etc ready to go on my rifle for when I got it.

Yes to the G36C. Solid gearbox, QC spring, decent iron sights, I find it works better than an M4 with a full-face mask, especially if you're comparing optic-vs-optic, and worst case you can fold the stock. V3 triggers aren't great, but you get used to them. Against that, you can fit something like a Perun AB++ without even opening the gearbox.

Agree, if your going an aru style loadout, a g36c fits almost everything & while they're not everyone's cup of tea, it's a very sturdy platform & don't think I've ever heard anything bad about any of the brands. To be fair, most platforms have been used by various plod forces, I even remember when the City Of London Police had Steyr Aug A2's, so lots of options.

I took firearms to be armed police , in which case a G36 works. Or you could go for an MP5 . I've goy 2 JG ones and they are so much better than they have any right to be at the price they are. Mine get used in a woodland site and I never feel outgunned, also ideal for CQB.

Hi and welcome to the Airsoft asylum 🤪 Specna make some good guns( not a fan of the g36 style) but the edge and core series are well made,in my opinion,and good value for money. By firearms type of gun I take it you mean realistic? The majority of Airsoft replicas are pretty much toy versions of the real steel versions. I find full face masks tend to interfere with sighting so don't use them but by using a high mount for sights it makes it easier with face protection. Have you joined an Airsoft club or are you just looking at the moment? It's best to go for a gat that you like the look of even if it's a g36 lol Regards

200 notes will get you a seriously better gun than the raider, even a g&g fanboy like me would admit it too, you’re spot on with the out priced analogy. Silly really as you logically wouldn’t up the price for something that’s been around for a good few years now and has nothing in the way of enhancements on its original form. Like I said I’d have a different rif altogether if I was looking now.

No regrets at that price. You don't get rotary this and quick-change that, but everything generally works very well together. Ex-Workmate Eddy's G&G shoots just as well as anything that I've "upgraded" with just a nudge of the hop wheel every so often. Stick a 2 in front of that price though and you're up to EDGE 2.0 and Gate Aster territory and it's a very different ball-bearing game.

Ouch! I paid 130 for mine a year back, why the hell have they gone so schizo on the price? £219 now on patrol base!! 🤯🤯 I mean, I love mine but if it had been that much Id when I was looking I’d have passed in a heartbeat!

But sadly G&G look to have priced themselves out of the market now. Very decent guns, basic but everything works well, but with no bells or whistles and a price point closer to £200 than £100 I just can't see that they make sense any more.

Aye, welcome back then. So what's wrong with the gearbox? Stock of airsoft toys is quite low but there are a few good budget manufacturers now including DoubleEagle, JG and SpecnaArms.

You're right to be careful and prepared, but this seems a bit wordy. The VCRA isn't relevant at the point where you're stopped, and neither is it being a realistic imitation (we've seen a conviction for an orange day-glo half-sized springer). The offence is Firearms Act 1968, Section 19, public possession of an imitation firearm. All you need is a "reasonable excuse (the proof whereof lies on [you])". But you do need that. So what I would stress is to always be able to show where you're going with it and why, i.e. site information and ideally booking details. "Look at meeeee!" cosplayers are forever getting caught brandishing their bangers, and despite receiving forbidding fingerings from the Fuzz, they generally go on their way after Words of Advice.

Ahoy and welcome back. Is the gearbox actually cracked? G&Gs aren't particularly notorious for that. I also got a G36C (JG) as a backup, and have ended up using it more than anything else.

You wouldn't end up in court though (assuming you weren't actually doing something illegal). Also a random bit of paper you printed out at home would be meaningless. I think you're being overly paranoid. Just use your common sense and you'll be fine.

Ouch. So only feasible for Distributors or big retail companies like Patrolbase - who had a turnover of £8.6m last year.

Played at Z-mart again last night and it's fair to say everyone had a ball. There were only 9 players so all the marshals joined in too, so after the first couple of infection games were out of the way and everyone had their bearings, we spent the rest of the night in a players v marshals format for all the games. It was a great atmosphere and while we all arrived in groups we fast just became a group of 14 people (head marshal included) that were just having a laugh and a pew on a Thursday night in an old Debenhams store. Games were fun, varied and fast-paced - which you'd expect from the numbers - turning all the lights off for the grab the objects game was a new one for me and was a real learning curve in torch usage, tracer fire was a sight to behold! Just in case anyone had any doubt with regard to eyepro, mine took a direct hit and I even watched the BB shatter! My Bolle glasses weren't expensive but they did their job perfectly. All in all, a great night, need to book my next visits to get my UKARA sorted out (t-minus 55 days - not that I'm countng 😉) and then I can get something to attach all these accessories I've been buying to.

Crazy. I'm absolutely broken by it, it's perfect in so many ways. I don't think I can ever not upgrade the frame again. May have another little bit coming for it as well and I think that will very much be the end of this build. I do have the spares asembled though so another project to work on (yay). It won't be crazy in what goes on but how I run it should be.

Knew it. I know of two Imax B6 charger-related fires within a 5 mile radius of my house. One fire gutted a garage full of RC planes - the other an entire room of a house with all his RC cars with it. You were lucky.

Original STAR SA80 restored and turned into a 3 Para afghan 2008 look. Real handguard and hk stickers made for the rear. Susat painted worn, painted and worn again to give it the built up look. Still some weathering to do. But 90% done now.

Latest project , G3A3 GBBR , real steel furniture set just fitted (thank you @RyanJW ) … now seeking an old school claw mount and some optics , and of course more mags for the gun ill likely never use 😛
