No, but given the travelling involved for me to attend, I'd have to hear a lot more positives about before I'd consider it. & that goes for any site or event really, spunking a load of money on fuel, then adding green fees on top, I'd be severely pissed if I then had a shite time due to organisation or wholesale cheating. The doped up fucktards I could just about tolerate, as long as its not at playtime etc.3 points

This sums up life for me. "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing..." George Bernard Shaw Gonna have good and bad days if you're having more good than bad days and enjoy it stick with it. Its not cheap and I can always find things to spend money on, most I don't really need but its the same with most hobbies.3 points

Never seen one being used by site staff either in all the times I've been there. It's the only site I've never been chrono'd at. Ironically - GZ Urban at Sopley used to be super hot on chronoing - with a strict 328fps (1j) limit. That was fun when every retailer (including Z1) was aiming to kick their guns out at around the 340-350fps mark for woodland use and QD gearboxes were not a 'thing' yet. I saw guys rock up with brand new Combat Machines etc bought from Z1 themselves just a couple days before, unable to use them on the Urban site as they were 10-15fps too hot. Good times.3 points -

The problem is that people who have got absolutely wrecked via drugs and or alcohol should not be anywhere near airsoft guns; that is a situation where, due to impaired reactions and decision making, along with, in some/many cases, increased aggression, there is a very real risk of harming someone else. It is not about not liking being around people who are off their tits on drugs or alcohol, although I do dislike that; it is about safety.2 points -

I very much doubt the anti gun lobbyists will ever even see this. The only reason for there to be any headlines about drugs and alcohol at an airsoft event is if something reportable happens which is incredibly unlikely (although I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone manages to set fire to the campsite at the minute). ANY large gathering of people will include a number of people that want to get absolutely wrecked via drink or drugs and a number of people who can't think of a worse way to spend their time. It is what it is and quite frankly BOTH sides need to get over themselves. Enjoy what you want to enjoy as long as it doesn't harm someone else and don't be a dick about the things you don't like.2 points -

Brand New WE Desert Eagle L6, Black, With Extra Mag And Blackhawk Holster

Brand new WE Desert Eagle L6 in Black. This is the full metal, green gas, semi only version, NOT the plastic lowered, CO2, full auto model. Was purchased at the same time as my HAO L119A2 kit and in all the excitement it was taken out of the box, checked over and then put back in the box and completely forgotten about until finding it about an hour ago. As much as I'd love to keep it, I could really do with some cash. Not a scratch on it, comes with all the original gubbins, 1 extra magazine, used but gas tight, and a Blackhawk Molle holster, both left over from my old original version WE Desert Eagle. £185 including postage and PayPal fees.£185

Another scammer 'CHANKZ'
Jedi_Master reacted to Louish118 for a topic
I have a wanted post up where I'm looking for a particular scope. I received a message from user Chankz (recent joiner), telling me to email [email protected] who has a scope for sale. I emailed 'Abraham' who sent me some website photos of the item, and had a very poor knowledge of it. He wouldn't give me an asking price and kept asking me to offer. I asked him to send me a time-stamped picture and all communication stopped. Possible scammer for everyone's attention.1 point -

That's not what I said and you know it. If someone is intoxicated then they shouldn't be playing, that much we can agree on but as far as what goes on in the campsite, there's more likely to be belligerent behaviour from the drinkers than the tokers. But yeah, having a weed based team name is immature at best. But then so is the whole "special operator super soldier" brigade so...1 point -

This was a project sniper build ,but It’s not my preferred style of play so I can’t justify spending funds on upgrades for it. last I checked it was firing around 490 on a 0.2g bb with nuprol 2.0 green gas. Comes with action army custom outer barrel which had to be modified to fit, original outer barrel, action army 28rnd magazine and it’s original magazine. I’ve seen some nice builds people have done with these but it’s just not for me anymore. collection or parcel force 48. open to offers£130

I've had & run Baofeng UV5R's for a year or so now which are perfectly fine, but comes with limitations as you'd expect for a fairly low ticket item. It's a no brainer (A no sh*t sherlock moment!), but the more we've been utilising our coms semi-effectively, the more efficient as a unit we've become, so being the inevitable peacock that I am have recently purchased an FCS 152 Radio & KDU. Nowhere near as user friendly to get up & running, but have purchased this as it'll mean I need to study / tinker & learn as opposed to being shown for a change! Anyways, just awaiting connector mods to my existing PTT to have everything up & running but looking forward to figuring this out & getting the best out of the kit1 point -

I had a (very minor) brainwave. I was trying to source a small spring to fit into the pair of small recesses (one in the body, one in the catch), without re-using something from one of my other guns. The spring from a retractable biro, cut down to a couple of spirals, was just about the right size! And it damn well actually works, the hold open catch works again. It'll probably fall apart again the next time it takes a knock though...1 point -

Best BBs to buy
Pollynator_bravo2 reacted to Speedbird_666 for a topic
Been using Blitz for some years as Z1 is local to me, they work well enough, priced right (no postage), and have improved a fair bit from the early batches of years past. The Bios work fine for me too. I used to like Excels (are they still around?) and found G&G and King Arms BB's to be decent too. Never had a problem with ASG Devil Blasters either. Just awaiting an order of Geoffs Tracer BB's for some CQB shenanigans on Sunday - not used them before TBH.1 point -

Gotta chime in and say my experience of the Vorsk bios is that they’re absolutely terrible. My favourite site changed to bio only and offer them as the bundle bb’s but they aren’t even round and had crazy seam lines. Definition of cheap and nasty. BLS and the brands they OEM for are always reliable bets - Geoffs, Longbow etc1 point -

Aug's can make good DMR's. Why you would want to do that with a TM HC I have no idea. You have cost - A basic Aug can be had for about £100 new. The TM HC new is at least double that. There is no external difference in quality in a JG and a TM. All of the differences are in the gearbox. TM's are notorious for soft gears that will run forever stock with the slightly lower powered spring... If you stick a big spring in there it's going to eat the gearbox. As soon as you modify the TM HC it's no longer a TM HC, As the only thing that makes them special is the gearbox. For a basic AUG DMR you would want the JG/APS A1 or A2 variant with a full length barrel. Avoid the A3/A4 the ris is heavy and doesn't improve the gun. If you think you want some more rail space look at the APS with the added side rails. If you go with JG you can pretty much just do a spring swap and run on 11.1v to get it running. Perhaps a slightly harder hop rubber. If you go with APS then I'd advise swapping the piston head, Spring and hop rubber and run 11.1v To make it better from there you'll be looking at a motor and perhaps gearing it a little different to get some trigger response. To semi lock it you can do a few things. Tape over the secondary contacts is the fastest and least reliable way to do it, A basic rewire removing the secondary contacts is probably more appropriate and can be done in minutes with a pair of clippers, soldering iron, and some heat-shrink, without opening the gearbox. Inner barrel wise the full length AUG runs a 509mm barrel. So you'll be wanting to run a non ported cylinder and don't really need to mess with the barrel length. The hop is decent enough, been a stock rotary unit, and other than a degrease to make it a little stiffer the unit is solid and not prone to walking. Mags are generally good for the AUG with no real feeding problems even on the cheapest mags. There are loads of 120-170rns midcaps out there that can be had cheap like the battleaxe ones, MAG 170rnd mags are my favourite. https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/army-armament-ku901-steyr-aug-aeg?pv=8463 £109 for the base gun. The Army Armament aug is based on the APS design so it has a raised area on the stock where the textures are. It'll probably want the piston head changing as the APS head is awful with an injection point on the sealing face. Other than that it's a reasonable base gun. For the extras, Your probably looking at Mosfet £20, Head £5, Hop rubber £10, Spring £10. So £45 ish to get it up to DMR basic spec. Add another £40 for a motor in the future when you want more trigger response, but the APS motor should pull an M120 on 11.1v In all it's not a bad basic spec gun for £155ish. As for the DMR role, The Australian and Austrian army both use AUG's in DMR roles. The Australians use a modified A2 style the Austrians use the Hbar-T. To make the Rifle into a Hbar-T the lower hand guard mount can be swapped to a 3D printed lower rail. And a picatinny tripod added. Or you can look for a barrel mounted tripod. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designated_marksman_rifle1 point
