  2. F**k that’s a ruff one to deal with my friend . off on a tangent(well this is AFUK after all !😁) back in the days of only 3 tv channels my brother thought it was a good idea to screw a brass dart on to the end of the length of bamboo he was using as an arrow and shoot it at me , it just missed my eye and hit me in the eyebrow where it stuck , the reason I realised it had stuck was as I came too laying on the floor all I could see through the scarlet haze of my vision was pink clouds and a bamboo stick standing straight up in the air ! As I sat up the vertical stick became a horizontal stick(which due to its weight made it hurt like fuck !) and my brother giving it legs in to the distance ! SO I made my way home grizzling like a good un slug trails running down my face mingling with blood and snott bubbles appearing from my nostrils(never at the same time always alternating nostrils never did figure out how that happens , just another one of life’s great mysteries I suppose ?) any hoo get home stagger up to the front door knock on it( not an easy task when you’ve a 2ft bamboo sticking out of ya noggin !) mum answers it sees me let’s out a blood curdling scream at the sight of me which wakes my dad up who was sleeping in his chair after a hard days work spoiling squaddies days(he was military police😈) he gets up stretches , burps , farts scratches his arse walks up to me say “ooohh that looks nasty who did it too you ?” As he places his hand on my forehead and yanks it out whilst also saying to my mum “stick a plaster on it he’ll be fine !” I tell him my brother did it . Several hrs later as it’s starting to get dark I see him skulking down the back path to the house so I rush over to dad saying “Garry’s coming in through the the back door !” He gets up and just stands behind the door with the bamboo in his hand , my brother slowly enters the room looking around to see where my dad is and instantly assumes the fetal position on the sofa and my dad proceeded to deliver what I thought was one of the classic beating of the 70’s with the bamboo and me standing next to him going “hit him harder dad , hit him harder !” Years later much to my horror I discovered dad wasn’t actually hitting him but neither me(on my vengeance high) nor my brother(in the grip of abject fear)realised he was actually hitting the sofa not Garry ! Talk about having justice stolen from you ! I tell you I was feeling like Gerard Butler in ‘law abiding citizen’ I felt so wronged by it !🤬

  5. Airsoft masterpiece, the top two are now full airsoft masterpiece and the open class is airsoft masterpiece slide and slide internals and everything from the frame down is stock tm 4.3 silver with an aftermarket magwell . The lim at perfect sight no longer looks like that anymore as I wore the slide out to the point it won’t feed as there is too much slop so it now looks like this. I found the perfect sight the best balanced hicapa due to the increased weight on the end of the steel barrel and lack of slide mass reciprocating. the new slide is as light due to the significant cuts and I have fitted a steel bulk barrel to keep the weight at the front Edit: the black slide may be a gunsmith bros

  8. Location would help but in hi capa land you have a couple options: 5.1 Government - Predominantly black with a few silver highlights Stainless - 2 tone silver and black (warning, silver finish on the frame peels) Gold Match - Predominantly black with gold highlights, has serated slide, better front sight, weird floting inner barrel system that everybody removes and angled cut frame. It's a great base if you want to go down the gold bits route. 4.3 Black - Self explanatory Custom Dual - 2 tone silver and black (warning, silver finish on the frame peels) Xtreme - It's a customer dual with a black frame and the internals are modified so it only shoots full auto 4.3 vs 5.1? Only notable performance difference is the 5.1 gets slightly more FPS due to a longer inner barrel, easily solved if you get a 4.3 and move to a threaded barrel, run a tracer adapter and you can stick a 5.1 length barrel through it. Parts availability is about the same now, there has been a surge recently in 4.3 parts so they're about level as 4.3 used to be harder to source parts for.

As much as I love it, the Wolverine Hydra and the m14 hop unit don't get along, so I've put a strip of a drink can at the back of the hop unit to avoid BBs rolling back and jamming it open. Took the opportunity to get the G&P scope mount which is far lower and now the m21 is complete. I will need to cable tie the rails onto the outer barrel to stop it moving about though as I had to modify it a little to use it with a scope mount; mounting a scope directly onto the rails doesn't work and tilts the sight upwards, hence I need a separate mount to keep it level. Not sure if I can get the stubby mags to feed properly though, so we'll see next game day. Otherwise I'll just run it with normal mags. Also, I now have a decent camera, so have some m21 pics.

  13. 5 years of use, once week for an average of 300 bbs a session, both slide and frame have a little wear in combination that results in vertical play in the slide so the nozzle jams. Both work perfectly with other slide /frame combinations just not together any more. It may also be a problem with the perfect sight as once the slide cycles all the mass at the front of the slide Is gone so any play shows up even more

I'm very happy with my D.O.R version... https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/tokyo-marui-hi-capa-5-1-d-o-r-direct-optics-ready-gbb-pistol/ I have no intention of fitting the optic on it, I just like everything else about it. I bought it especially for the larger gas volume from the updated internals which has meant it worked perfectly during the cold weather

  17. QFT. A new VSR 90 degree trigger box cost £100 just by itself. I thought I could get away with the stock Well box for a while, but the stopper wallered out really quickly with a 2.3J spring, as well as the trigger mechanism itself getting very shonky. While I'm generally a fan of buying cheap and twice, it's seems like a poor route to take with snipers. I did seriously consider the AAC T11 as a base for building a decent sniper, but went another way... All perfectly sensible, as are the base gun suggestions. But that's £100-£120 or so for those parts, then another £100 for a 90 degree trigger box, and now you're looking at SSG-10 money, shading towards Tac-41, plus the time and fiddling to put it all together. Meanwhile, I changed the Tac-41 spring (in minutes), dialled the hop in, and just played without any issues, literally laughing out loud at how well it performed. I like tinkering with guns, but it's getting tougher to recommend upgrading snipers given that you'll end up replacing very nearly everything internally chasing that last few metres of range or cm of accuracy, and likely end up paying as much or more as buying one of the viable out-of-the-box options now. What I don't want to do is to put @Dec7 off trying sniping by bumping the "must haves" price up. You can start off with something cheap to see if you enjoy the play style, and consider that a DE M52 costs half the price of a VSR 90 degree trigger box alone. Given my bad experience with the MB-03 trigger box, I'd stick with recommending. A £50 M52 and consider it as completely disposable, just for the experience. JG BAR-10 or CYMA CM.701 (the CYMA is £10 more but claims close to 2.3J out of the box, making it a wash) for the cheapest fully VSR compatible upgrade bases. Action Army T11 because of that trigger box (but you really will have to upgrade the spring and ideally the guide as it's startlingly low powered as stock) (What I really want to say is "Skip all that, go straight to Tac-41" but at £380 to field it, you have to be sure that it's something that you'll enjoy using) I'd consider both suppressors and bipods as completely unnecessary for any of the above, and just adding weight. I'll occasionally throw a bipod on because, well, I have a bipod, but it generally comes off again by lunchtime.

  18. I'd have lost my wager because I tested at 0.95J hopping 0.28g before, and I'm down to a disappointing[*] 0.8J now. The trigger response and ROF doesn't feel hugely better either from removing 2 teeth. [Sad womp-womp sounds] Although I suspect it was an error to swap the already well stretched and greased piston ring for a "better" one, and introduce another variable. I'm not completely happy with the air seal, and it was pretty variable for a while. Well, I'll chuck more silicone up the nozzle, run it as a sniper secondary for a bit then replace all the things again and see how well the plastic rack stood up to it. [*] For everyone except Tokyo Marui true believers.

VFC SCAR H in black, barely used and in great condition, the only wear and tear is on the rails from fitting and removing accessories. 20. Have a look at the Action Army T11 too, if you're intetested in sniping. It's a VSR base, so upgrades are plentiful, but with a fresh modernised look. It also comes with a 90º trigger as standard, so you'll save a lot of money when you come to upgrade. It comes in low powered as standard, but a new spring & piston will help with that. https://airsoftdirect.uk.com/action-army-aac-t11-airsoft-sniper-rifle/

  23. Good idea. Both will work as a starting base, though if you're looking at getting a VSR like the MB-03, I'd suggest looking at the JG BAR10 and the Cyma CM.701 rifles as well; they're cheap and more compatible with VSR parts. You can start relatively cheap, still get pretty good performance and see if the gameplay interests you, then decide to shell out hundreds more. I was going to do a build for the Evolution M40 myself, but now I'm going to use one of my KJ m700s as a base for an M40A3 instead as I like my gas guns. My recommendation for parts would be: - Maple Leaf silicone autobot hop rubber (probably 70 degrees as that'll work for 1.1J as well as 2.3J), - If you go for the M40, one of the Maple Leaf VSR hop arms. I believe there are two and I believe they will fit onto the hop unit but can't be certain. - If you go for a VSR (MB-03, BAR-10 or CM.701), I'd get the Action Army VSR hop unit. It's fantastic. - Maple Leaf omega nub - Either a Laylax or Maple Leaf Crazy Jet inner barrel. Yes, the stock barrel is 6.03mm, but it's brass and it's bridged. You want an unbridged barrel and I am a big fan of stainless steel barrels (had the same Laylax barrel in my VSR for about 12 years now). I can't remember what length you want, but I know the stock inner is slightly longer than a 430mm VSR barrel so you could use a 430mm with barrel spacers to make sure it's nice and centred. In terms of mounting a suppressor, I'm not sure what I'd use for the adapter. You may be able to use a VSR thread adapter, but I can't confirm that as I can't remember exactly what the end cap is like. When it comes to actual suppressors, you want a decent foam filled one. I've got the Action Army DDM silencer which is meant for the AAP-01, but it works great on anything. Well, anything suppressors are good with; they're utterly useless for AEGs and GBBs (outside of cool factor), god-tier for NBB gas and HPA and somewhat useful for springers. It'll make a difference in reducing the noise that comes out of the end of the barrel when the air and BB escape, but it won't do anything to quieten the sound of the piston slamming forward in the cylinder. In 1.1J builds it's not really needed as they're quiet enough and the Evolution M40 is pretty quiet out of the box. A suppressor won't hurt the gun's performance outside of making it longer and a bit more unwieldy.

  25. @Impulse @Rogerborg lads, thank you for going above and beyond! Genuinely 10/10 guys! Massively appreciate you taking the time to help me out! You have given me a lot to think about, I'm going to sleep on it but as of right now I'm thinking I could go with that M40 bundle, purely because, its cheap and if I either don't enjoy the sniping or I end up wearing it down then its no biggy, it'll give me a taste, and if after that I end up really loving it then I can commit to something like the "Steyr Scout" Rogerborg mentioned! Plus the scope and the bipod it comes with I could reuse on another gun at some point down the line once the M40 has either died out or been retired which is a bonus! That said I actually just added it up, I could get the Well MB-03 with the same scope and bipod for pretty much the same price so.......yeah, will sleep on it! Also Impuse, am keen to do this as I feel even if the guns only a wee bit "upgraded" it'll give me a better experience but again I'm a complete green noob, any chance you could give me some pointers or recommend what bits to buy etc? Like I've said though you've both already went completely above and beyond so just tell me to bugger off if I'm being too much of a pain! The last thing I was going to mention was suppressors, obviously, very cool and aesthetically pleasing but should I be looking at one at this stage? Would a wee cheap one be worth it or would I hurt the guns performance?

    THE TM MWS thread

Hi 👋 Yeah paypal goods and services is best for buyer protection. Have you looked at sellers reputation? Have they got good feedback? Does the pictured item contain the sellers forum name and date? Is the pictured item the actual item or a stock photo from a mag or online seller(you can generally tell)and this is the reason that the sellers forum name and date are included In pic. Trust your judgment and ask seller questions and judge by their answers. You can tell a lot by how they respond. Nothing is garenteed but with goods and services you have some protection. Good luck( they are a pretty honest bunch on here)👍 Regards

2 uppers, one more civilian inspired build that still needs a PEQ, the other more GWOT style that still needs a surefire and a sling. Final versions, especially the GWOT style will look major goofy set up wise but they work for the type role each one has. I’ll repost when finished as they’re “nearly” finished…already planning another upper 🥲 Deck’seption…

  44. Replaced the sling attachment on my F2000 with a couple of straps from this and all the securing sliders, plus a couple of metal D-rings, to make this ... which seems to be working pretty well. I originally had the d-rings at the top of the stock, but actually that made the sling get in the way when shouldering the gun, so I re-jigged it to the current position. Because of the extra webbing inserted into the buckles to support the d-rings, the sling slots in the stock don't seem to be under undue pressure, so I'm not afraid of the plastic struts breaking. And an added bonus is I don't need to use the hex bolt to keep the butt plate on now, so battery changes will be easier. For an added Brucie-bonus, it also looks a lot more like the BF4 setup (in spirit, at least)
