So i had the pleasure of going to this site for the very first time on the 17th april 2021 we arrived and signed in and went to our allocated table to setup, sign in was quick and simple. safety brief was great very simple rules, here you are not allowed to climb trees, for me that did not matter. the game modes throughout the day were well organised, back to back game modes made it so you were not sitting in safe zone for long periods of time thinking come on let us out already, first game mode was fun think we had to capture something (blue team won) The second game mode in the morning was the best game mode, we had to get 8 barrels through 3 zones first zone we had to clear out the boat, 2nd we had to cross a bride this part you need teamwork once everyone stopped trying to push and make a plan we all decided to rush the bridge, we popped a few smokes and everyone on blue team rushed that bridge and worked great, the 3rd zone was the fort we had to clear it out, the fort had 2 entrances 1 for entry and 1 for dead people to walk out, the fort had small windows for the defenders to shoot out from, this made for some great teamwork on how to push the fort, overall the best game mode i played, next game mode we had to try and move a barrel full of water as close to the other team while they are also trying to do the same kinda like tug of war, this mode was a special mode was great fun (blue team won by a few inches) after that mode we played the 2nd game mode with the 3 zones but this time we were the defenders, when it came to defending the bridge this part was the best i set myself up on the left side of the bridge, with great sight of the other side from between 2 trees i racked up about 12 kills most kills i have done in my 3 games i have been to airsoft, red team managed to do great teamwork and rushed us almost straight away, red team won last game mode of the day was a domination game mode, the aim for this mode we had to switch the blue light on the box with the red team also trying to switch it to red at same time the longest time that its been on their colour wins, red team were first to the box but forgot to switch it to red before blue team quickly cleared it and switched it to blue, red team had 0 on the timer wile blue team managed to get 14 mins on the timer out of the 15 mins game time, after the scores were added up blue team won by a couple of points mainly losing points on the defending the bridge part the whole day was great and well organised, some no hit takers but you get that no matter where you go marshals did a fantastic job safe zone well organised pros: safe zone is well arranged, clear signs points to were you need to go great game modes friendly staff great safety briefing game structures the fort, bridge, they all look amazing map lunch break is the perfect amount of time for everyone to reload, eat, and what ever anyone else does on there break cons: no hot food, make sure you add the pizza option to your order for an extra fiver, unless you only want crisps or chocolate would i go back to this site again 1 million % yes i would, great and entertaining day plenty of game modes roll on 15th may cant wait to go back for more2 points -
THE TM MWS thread
Hypokondrikern and one other reacted to Davegolf for a topic
@Hypokondrikern just fire the gun off so it is not stored ‘cocked’ then all the springs will be released. @TadsJ2 that broken part is called ‘buffer part B’, get a new one, keep the TM buffer but run a HSB spacer with it and this will not happen again. The TM Buffer is the most gas efficient and fastest cycling, as well as not damaging the buffer tube.2 points -

A little update. Had my first game today at Skirmish Exeter and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The sunshine helped but the heat got to people and by the end we'd lost half the players. Lessons learned My helmet setup worked well. The Bolle X800's didn't fog even with sweat dripping down the inside. I'm really glad I got back into running a few months ago. If I hadn't I think today would have killed me. I need a sight riser. Watch out for people lurking in shadows Eyes in the sides and back of my head would be helpful. I wish I'd had the chance to zero my sight after the spring change Need a better dump pouch The Double Eagle performed well. Got enough kills to make me happy. Just a strange battery problem which lost me the last hour of the day. Great bunch of players. The day felt friendly, well organised and run. All in a great day.2 points

I personally find any one that uses a homophobic Slur in this context disgraceful and further it doesn’t belong in today’s society. There is a fine line between humour and being offensive, what friends call each other in jest is another thing. I would love a hpa rif only because air is free.2 points -

Having read my initial post back I could have been clearer. The 'offensive' bit I was refering to was the phrase we agree is no longer acceptable. The dipping into the identification subject was, in my opinion, inappropriate and unneccesary within the topic of conversation. I felt the conversation was starting to go in an inappropriate direction, explained why, and left it at that. I was very concious of not pointing out that I was offended, and was simply raising that it may not reflect well. If you're happy to accept that it may not reflect well, and think the humour is worth it, then as you were. I won't waste my time trying to convince anyone that they should consider what they think is humour could be offensive to others. I'm a straight white British male (as imagine the vast majority of the folks that make up this forum are), I'm/we're fortunate to not have to deal with that sort of stuff on a daily basis. As expected the term snowflake has now been thrown in there, so that's good. I'm more than aware of the general demographic for airsoft, alongside the general demographic for forums so I can't say I'm surprised by the reaction of being challenged on it. I agree that it is all subjective, what isn't subjective is that if it hadn't been said at all then there would have been no risk of offending anyone. I won't drag it out any further, I've said what I wanted to say and I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to give a reasoned response so I felt I should do the same.2 points -
Nice gun but shame that a giant caramac bar melted all over it. Lol 😉 Regards2 points

Get two birds with one stone and buy a usb adapter from eBay. It will still monitor the voltage but you can also use a battery to power your phone. It saved my life last summer linky link tomorrow because I can't be arsed right now1 point

I played a woodland game on Sunday and can confirm that 6 in the chest rig and one in the gun is a good workout! For the two last games I used my AEG and the lower weight of 4 120rd mags was appreciated! I used the Dynamic Precision lightweight bolt, G&P roller end and AG / G&P hybrid nozzle and parts. Chrono'd at 265fps in the morning (probably 5deg) and was ok for 4-5rd bursts if you didn't do it too often. Single shot was fine and got some good hits out to 40-50m (including one through a 15cm gap in a building from 30m 😁) I struggled with the hop too, you had to buy the Bio bbs from the site and they did 0.30g or 0 40g. The 0.30g were a little light and 4 clicks of hop was too little, and 5 clicks was ramping them up too much. I have a spare TM rubber so might try that as the Modify tan might be ok for 0.36g anything less and it is a little too finiky! I would agree that for Milsims and CQB the MWS is un-matched, where 3 spare mags is adequate for a game or you are patrolling / observing RoEs Woodland games where you have 5 rolling "defend the base then move to the next when hit...rinse and repeat" on the trot...less so!1 point

Running Valkyrie .32s and they are very good. They have said they are working on heavier ammo too. I would like to try running 0.4s I was saying to a team mate about the number of BB's required in most cases to land a kill in woodland. Generally means at best you will get 3-5 kills a mag and I only have 4 mags. For my PTW i can carry the same ammo as 3 MWS mags in the single light as feather Pmag. Running a MWS feels like a self nerf in woodland. I think i just like winning too much. I think the ambient temp, being in the shade and my gas choice was not optimum. Other than my hop arm, the gun is entirely stock. RIGHT! I also had the fear of them rattling around in my dump pouch and getting damaged.1 point

Had my first game with my MWS on Sunday. Fuck me it was heavy with all those mags1 point

These would be red flags, and are methods of evading & working around VCRA defences. Split packages are a way of bringing yourself to the attention of HMRC for smuggling The OP has a valid defence by virtue of being a re-enactor (and a better defence than airsoft skirmishers as reenactment is within the original VCRA legislation1 point

Depends what they are doing re-enactment of. Most are Roman, medieval, or WWII, but as history is any time before now, any battle that occurred yesterday could be re-enacted with all the latest firearms. Found a picture of OP:1 point

Glad you enjoyed your day out, kinda You definitely want to be running powerful gas or MAPP at lower temps to get the best from the MWS. That will get you on pace and snappy. Also standard mags, dont cut those gas tubes - we have found them to negatively affect FPS consistency and worsen cooldown. The only downside i find with MWS vs AEG in woodland is if you need a burst to guarantee a hit through dense cover. Otherwise your heavy ammo (hopefully you were running 0.32- 0.36s?) should always come up trumps on distanced single shots.1 point

Short usage review. First outing with my MWS on Sat and I enjoyed it but it wasn't as good as my PTW. I think I need to spend a little more time getting the hop just perfect and zero it again. It was also only about 5-8'C when I was using it and it just felt a bit weak. I was using Predator Red Gas. I don't think I gave it a fair shake of the stick. Simply because of how good my PTW is. I point and that thing sends the shots accurately and at a known range and consistency. My MWS was in my head a 50/50 chance of hitting the player. Was also my first time running a short scope, rather than a dot sight. Which was very different. I really enjoyed being able to see the target and getting that extra bit of optics on them to follow the shot in. I found it slower to get on target. Which is obviously their negative vs a dot. But I will continue to practice. So from a historic full AEG convert. I think I will enjoy using the MWS but I don't think it is as suited to a woodland game as an AEG and that is mainly due to the low ammo count vs weight on the mags. I liked the realism but didn't like the weigh of having just 4 mags on me. Let along the 7 AEG, I usually carry. For Combat mission, heavy storyline milsim and probably for some CQB games. It will be the winner for smiles and realism. I just don't think if I had the option and wanted to win a game, i would pick it over my PTW or NGRS. That said. Lets see how I feel after my next game. Where it will be the only thing I take with me. Gunman US vs Russia at the end of May1 point

No that is all good, its partly the reason your part broke, the buffer is at too high a speed when it stops.1 point

Kriss Vector Mag Pouch
Cancerslug reacted to Groot for a topic
These https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/esstac-kywi-pistol-triple-mag-pouch-15432-p.asp They also come in doubles and single. China soft versions are available but not AS snug. I use these because they fit the thin end of the AEG Mags perfectly. As they are basically Glock mag size They will not fall out. If mounted correctly, do not bounce around and are super high speed. Way faster than SMG pouches, because of how long the draw can be with the epically long Vector mags. If you have GAS, I have no idea if these would be as suitable.1 point -
I've got a lovely little bruise where I took one like a champ to the eyebrow! 🥲1 point

You could cut it off square so it has a flat end, cut some rubber discs same diameter as the buffer tube ID or something that add upto the length that is missing from the the Buffer part B, so the buffer spring holds them in place. That way if you do want to keep using it the buffer wont be over travelling.1 point

Jesus wept! My thighs ache like fuck. I can hardly keep my eyes open, and I feel fantastic. Great day at Tuddenham with Gunman today. Perhaps going for a long run yesterday to warm up was not such a good idea... After lunch my painful back was feeling much better and my shoulders and neck were much looser. Airsoft is great physio. Hot shower and a walk of a couple of miles to warm down. I'll do some bag work tomorrow, and a couple of rounds with the lad if he's not too tired after college.1 point -
Definitely one on the spring guide and I think I remember one on the piston. Thanks for the info and your help.1 point

Marui Man

To be fair, its's an ad for toy guns, and the guy playing Marui Man isn't a professional actor, he's a Japanese gun nut/journalist. Although he somehow managed to get bit parts in Terminator 2 (Mall Employee Shot by T-1000) and True Lies (Japanese Party Goer in the last scene), which is pretty cool. https://anidb.net/creator/483431 point -

Something I've been hunting for quite a while now: Hudson IMI Jericho 941 GBB, silver version Very rare gun from the early 2000's, uses the Maruzen GBB system from their P99. One of only 3 airsoftguns Hudson has ever built and the only GBB of this pistol. Had to install wood grips on this (they're almost drop in, just have to remove a little from the heightened wood part on the inside, so that it fits the pocket of the frame), back then I only found ones with the newer "IWI" name. Recently found ones with "IMI", they're on their way now Surprisingly tight measurements for an old japanese plastic GBB1 point -

Well, I thought I was making progress after some reshimming (which legitimately seemed ok to me before, but perhaps something shifted or I got muddled after the 200th takedown and put a shim back wrong). Fired out of the box beautifully. Got it to site and... jams, crunchy noise, etc. Currently in small pieces, again. Updates on state of mosfet to follow once I get the rest of the gun working again. F*** my entire life tbh.0 points
