  1. mAh multiplied by the C rating gives the maximum continuous current the pack can provide - It directly relates to the power output. eg: 15c X 1300 mAh = 19.5A (continuous) 25c X 1300 mAh = 32.5A (continuous) 10c X 3000 mAh = 30.0A (continuous) A lower C rating is often used to 'throttle' the power to the motor - hence 15c recommendations from some manufacturers/techs/retailers. However, 15C on, say, a 3000mAh pack will allow the motor to draw up to 45A which could be enough to nuke the gun at some point.

  6. Well, my HK53 arrived today. I’ve only had the chance to have a quick look over it so far, but my initial impressions are, very nice. I’ll hopefully get more chance to have a proper play about tomorrow and get some pictures posted. But, at the moment I am very happy.

  11. Yeah it does look like you guys have had it rough. I'll keep popping in every day to see if I can help out. We're coming up to the time of year that Jedi goes on his "no technology" two week holiday too, so the team will be a man down soon as he literally goes completely off grid 😅

  12. Oh I know you weren't suggesting that the op makes threats, just that they be careful not to appear to be making them. I'm sure we've all seen instances of the written word being misunderstood

Getting there with my long AK/Romy Paratrooper RPK build. Added the dong handgrip (bought from firesupport) the current upper handguard is off my AK47, I'll keep my eye out to find one that matches the lower in colour. Next is to swap the receiver on my AK from side folder to under folder (always wanted one)

    Battery life...

It's not the voltage that decides how many batteries you'll need, it's a combination of how you play (carefully chosen single shots Vs bullet-hose suppression), and the mAH (milli amp hours rating) (Plus a few other contributory factors like how your gun is set up, the temperature, whether you feel lucky, punk... that sort of thing) If you shoot on semi auto carefully, you should get through a whole day on one decently large battery (3000 mAH). If you go hog-wild on the fun switch and trigger, and your batteries are only little 1400mAH sticks, then you might get through three or even four. Edit: Colin seems a bit more optimistic than me. I'm basing my reply on the fact I can burn through my 3000mAH Titan Li-ion battery by mid afternoon. I shoot a lot when I'm playing with my AEGs

    Battery life...

That depends on the battery capacity (mAh) and how trigger happy you are. Two 1300mAh batteries should easily get you through the day.

Think you’d have a better chance selling it if you put back as an m4a1 bud.

  20. If they are that sensitive then they can just not offer a two tone service. (Either at all or against particular RIFs) Airsoft and airsoft retailers would not exist in the UK without the VCRA two tone IF exemption This ‘sensitivity’ is similar to collectors thoughts over Sci Fi / geeky collectibles etc. At a comicon this weekend we had a conversation with another trader/collector, he is very happy when he sells an item to a child or someone that will open the box - supply & demand. New ‘collectibles’ will remain worthless if everyone locks them away in glass cabinets and in attics waiting to get rich. Old ‘collectables’ appreciate in value every time one gets used and depreciate in value everytime a widow advertises a complete collection. I know a collector/trader in Pops figures. He tells me that he isnt speaking to me, but he clearly is otherwise he couldn’t keep telling me that he isn’t speaking to me. I bought a rare set of Pops figures with a vehicle, dismantled the vehicle and mounted them on an RC chassis. There were tears in his eyes. He should be thanking me for increasing the value of the rest of them A retailed two tone IF is an entry point for new player, it expands the market. Many can easily be returned to RIF status at a later date

  23. Looks like a circlip - basically a circular spring that prevents loosening. If it is, you’ll need circlip pliers to remove it properly, or you could bodge it with a screwdriver and prise it off, just be careful it doesn’t fly off somewhere!

  24. Lets hope our American variants don't cross the Atlantic. They'll send PMs and even send emails, but they don't spam adds for pure drug powders.. ...imagine if they interbreed...

  32. It's a weird one with King Arms. Their premium stuff is really nice - at least the couple of KA blasters I've had hands-on with, but in trying to compete in the low-end market, they made some epic compromises with the Ultra Grade. Mould lines everywhere, upper receiver that bulges out in the middle, Plastic buffer tube and charging handle etc are just the things that stuck out to me. I hear the Gearboxes, whilst outwardly featuring many of the same internal gubbins as their premium offerings, have nowhere near the love, attention and QA applied to them in the factory. The Ultra Grade platform is also used for the Tippmann Recon and some of the CAA-branded stuff from ASG.

  37. now just imagine some one has taken the Kar 98 and hpa tapped it and put on a m4 mag conversion kit. How would that make you feel?
    1 point
  38. let this be a lesson kids. generally we understand 2-toning is a necessary evil to allow us to have our hobby still, and mostly we don't care if you turn up with a generic m4/1k painted in bright colours. but if you 2-tone something nice we absolutely can, and will, judge you for that.
