  3. Ok, so I got the Cyma SR-25 and it arrived today. Biggest annoyance was that the suppressor didn't come with any foam in it and it was loud. The gearbox noise is fine as that'll go away once I shove in some helical gears and trade out for a brushless motor, but the muzzle sound was a very noticeable pop without foam in the suppressor. Fortunately I had a crappy 5KU KAC style QD suppressor lying about that was on my MWS, but wasn't tight enough so the recoil caused shots to clip the end when it rattled around. Stripped out all the foam baffles from that and stuffed them into the SR-25's suppressor and it has already made such a difference. Out of the box it's only chronoing at 0.84J on a .3, though the consistency would make you think it's a HPA gun as every shot was 0.84J, there was almost 0 variance in each shot! Going to tinker around, as I have a Guarder sp100 lying about, but I will probably also buy an sp110, 120, 130 and 140 to toy around between getting 1.1J and 1.6J and see which I prefer. Waiting on a few parts to arrive still, but considering it's already fairly quiet by AEG standards, I'm optimistic about this build.

  6. Didn't post about my M14 when I bought it from the classifieds here, so making up for lost time... and just dropped through my letterbox is a holster (and MOLLE adapter) for my TM Hi Capa DOR It looks a bit like the Amomax holster from an earlier post, but it's an AliExpress special, so the thing is glued together rather than bolted, and the release button doesn't look as good... but it was cheap* and otherwise seems like it's good enough. Holster: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001339411443.html Adapter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001365697637.html * The Amomax holster and adapters on eBay are actually cheaper than I thought, might as well save yourself a shipping delay and buy them, tbh.

  10. Noisiest parts of an AEG are the motor itself, the pinion/bevel, the piston hitting the cylinder head. High quality high torque brushed or brushless motor. Helical pinion/bevel set Correct volume so the piston decelerates into the cylinder head, not smash into it, and sorbo to deaden the blow. A weighty piston also aids this.

  11. I have had a selection of different SR25’s and the CYMA one is the best I have had. Silly the suppressor does not come with foam, but that is easily rectified. I did a whole load of changes, but stuck with the same gear set. Having the spring change system is great to have. Mine is very quite, but would like to know how much changing the gears will have an effect on sound. Any gearbox if shimmed well can be very quite. Most of the sound is from the cylinder head area. Will you be r hopping it, works wonders.

Welcome back 🖐 Put some pics on Appraisals thread to get an idea how much it could go for... https://airsoft-forums.uk/forum/151-appraisals/

  15. That would explain it! That piece pushes the tappet plate back, allowing a BB to feed. It is indeed the sector gear, but you would probably be best advised to buy a whole new 16:1 gearset from someone like AK2M4 (allegedly, other purveyors of airsoft bits and pieces do exist), along with a delayer chip to ensure that the tappet plate stays back long enough. Whatever you do, you are going to have to do some shimming to ensure that the gears are spaced properly. There are some very good guides to this online.

    Powerair6.Com

Recent experience with them, still brilliant as always, however customs can sting you and every time I’ve ordered from them customs have done their thing. however I tend to do larger orders. Have also ordered a RIF from them with no issues just customs and their awful repackaging. For PTW/HPA users they tend to stock the awkward spares. Brilliant company with great coms.

    Over the barrel bipods

Yes @PureSilver thats exactly it, just unobtanium, if i find any ill let you know, thanks

  19. I've looked into RIS-attached over-the-bore bipods because one of my rifles literally doesn't have anywhere else to mount one: Unfortunately as you say over-the-bore bipods aren't that common. The Fortmeier Phoenix looks nice, but it's RS and correspondingly expensive. The Leapers UTG TL-BPOB01-A looks OK but isn't that cheap either. The one I personally want is the Otto Repa Helios, which looks lighter, and which Begadi sold a relatively reasonably priced replica of several years back. Unfortunately they're really difficult to find, but worth investigating.

  20. I do but yet to skirmish it. My experience is that they don't take WE/TM style mags. The mags and internals are VFC. I'm really in two minds about this RIF. On one hand I really like the shape and texture of the frame but it's made from fairly thin plastic, which flexes. The magwell definitely improves grip and reloads but it wobbles. The tuneable flat trigger allows you to rapidly follow-up on shots but the initial break is stiff (as seems to be the case with VFC Glocks). Gas efficiency and cool weather performance are above average IMO. I have managed to get lock backs after four mags worth of BB's on a single charge of gas. Overall I'm happy with it but I've got quite a few other pistols and tend to favour my TM Gold Match if I know it's actually going to get some use (ie CQB). However Glockwise, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend, over one of TM's offerings (which will take your WE mags). Especially when you consider range of aftermarket parts available for each.

  22. Sorry not seen any of those about outside of rifs that have them integrated. I didn't want a bipod dangled off the bottom o my dmr so went with some like these.... https://www.ant-supplies.uk/rifle-bipods/m-lok-handguard-bipods.html theres keymod too, leapers make some too, in this style. Good luck in your hunt.

  24. I take a gallon of water with me to leave at respawn. The last two games, lazy fuckers have drunk the lot. I don't mind helping a man out, but leaving me dry is taking the piss, especially mid-viral borne pandemic. I had more in the van, but next game I'm spitting in the bastard loudly and demonstrably before game on... Figure a litre plus an hour in this and you'll be fine if you know the signs of heatstroke to watch out for.

  39. I'd have been shocked if it was any other site. Anzio are notorious for this. A friend of mine went to chrono with his MTW, turned all the way down, using 25's, was running about 300-305, marshall dried his teeth when chrono'ing and said he can play but if he gets pulled in game for random chrono then it's "his risk" - So it was under but still a chance of it not? Great site for buildings, cover, layout. Crap site for marshalls.

  43. I can't help with your specific question I'm afraid. However I have bought from them a few times and can tell you that the vast majority of negative feedback they receive is because if you annoy them, they will literally tell you to fuck off. Usually nothing to do with the items they stock.
