  1. Sounds like GearGrindr. Nope, I pay to go to an airsoft site to play airsoft, not to talk about playing airsoft. I can do that here free and without travelling. Still, I am grateful for their honesty that the actual play (if any breaks out) will be a completely chaotic whangfest.

  2. Fuck that. It's a shit site with 200 players let alone 2000+. Don't get the love for it at all. And I live only 20mins away.

  3. I know that everyone wears it now, but I have gone for the old Tajic Border Guards uniform. Probably get stick from the stitch counters for incorrect webbing I expect.

  4. GBBs are not actually that complicated and this sort of problem is not uncommon. Sorry if this seems patronising (I don't know your experience level) but here are some things I think you should investigate before returning the gun. Is it cold where you live? Try shooting the gun indoors, where it's a bit warmer, to see if higher vapour pressure improves performance. Does the gas canister you're filling from have any actual liquid left in it? If you swirl it around you should hear and feel the liquid sloshing around inside. If there's no liquid in the canister to transfer to the magazine the gun won't shoot more than a handful of shots before venting. Is the magazine filling correctly? If the magazine is completely empty (push the outlet valve with your finger to completely empty it), you should hear the magazine filling with liquid, and then an audible change in tone or cessation of noise when it's full. If you're not sure, try weighing the magazine both empty and full - you should be seeing a difference of at least 5-10g, I should think. The problems I suspect you actually have: Are the gun's seals dried out? I strongly suspect that your problem lies in the rubber seals in the gun's blowback unit, located in the rear of the slide. If the gun has been sitting on the shelf for a long time, it's possible that those seals have dried out and shrunk, allowing gas to blow by. This cripples efficiency; the rather anaemic blowback you're getting could be a sign of that. You can check this by removing the nozzle to access the seals, and solve it by generously oiling them with silicone oil and letting them soak it up for a couple of hours. Is the gun clean and correctly lubricated? Often guns come very dry from the factory; the slide rails in particular usually need lubricant for the gun to run smoothly. Excessive friction can cause the slide to hang up, which increases the time before the valve knocker is reset, which ruins efficiency. Ideally you should lubricate the rails with a non-petroleum-based grease - I like Froglube. Check to see how smooth the slide feels if you rack it by hand; if it feels resistant or gritty, clean the rails with a paper towel (preferably also with isopropyl alcohol, or warm soapy water) and lubricate them. These last two points are regular maintenance items on any GBB and it is very common for out-of-the-box guns to have these issues. TMs tend to be much more reliable and higher-performance out of the box, especially in cold weather. Bear in mind that the HK45 does not have a metal slide or outer barrel and it will be almost impossible to get them. WE do a P99, but not a PPQ.

  5. Nope, not normal... and that video actually shows a fairly slow rate of fire. I regularly see players that switch to their pistols for close-up action firing much quicker than that with no venting.

  6. Well, I have a list.... - Rhododendron bushes, bottleneck-narrow tracks and the terrain (hills & bogs) stops game play completely dead at times. One kid with a box mag hiding under one of said bushes can stop 30 players on the other team with little to no effort effort. The bushes are so dense/dark - it's virtually impossible to see where they are hiding. If you are lucky enough to work out where they are camping, there's a low probability of actually hitting them due to the density. By the time you've managed to crawl through the fucking bushes and try to flank, the game is over (Saturday games) or the objective has moved on to it's new hourly location (Sunday games). You could argue this for any woodland site - but GZ takes it to a whole new level. - Deadzones (Sunday games) are fucking miles from the action - you push an objective, get shot, you are out for 20mins or so walking either to or from a deadzone - and you get shot on the way back to the objective? You are back in the deadzone and another bunch of time lost. Games degenerate into flat out cheating because people can't be arsed to deal with the deadzone bollocks. You'll only get 1-2 attempts at an objective if you really want to play them (more later). - Both teams use the same deadzones. So technically you could be lit up the second you step foot out of it by the other person/people you were occupying it with. Most of the time airsofters will do the honourable thing and not shoot each other while leaving until out of eye-shot, but I have witnessed a kiddy light up members of the other team for giggles the moment they stepped out from behind the net. - Sunday games have no flow. It's a big free-for-all single game with hourly (moving) objectives. Might sound fun in theory, but it just degenerates into shooting random people wandering around miles from said objectives. Frankly, only a small percentage of the players actually 'play' the objectives. The others are quite content to set up shop somewhere and take pot shots at passers by or just 'marauding' aimlessly. I find it deeply unfulfilling as an Airsoft experience. - Saturday games are significantly better IMO - they are 'structured' into ~6 traditional games in specific areas of the site rather than a single all-day game covering the whole site . If you want to experience GZ, I would recommend going on a Saturday first. You will only see a small percentage of the site's playing actual playing area on a Saturday though, but they focus the games around the key 'features' such as the village, the trenches, the airfield etc, which are relatively(!) close to the safe zone. - Not a massive issue for me, but no hot-burning pyro on site. Smoke could be extremely useful as a game play tool for this place, but they cannot use at the landowners request - fair enough I suppose. There are some good things: - I've never had a problem with the staff - Sunday games have a mini Z1 showroom on site. Saturday games not so much, mainly just BB's for the punters. - The Shooting range to setup your guns is excellent - a two-storey wooden building that looks like a wild west saloon. - There are some excellent 'features' like the Fort, Chapel or village areas. Just a shame they are fucking miles apart. I've played there on average twice a year over the last 16 or so years mainly for site membership/UKARA. TBH, I have no desire to play there anymore whatsoever. Planning to play Ironsite again a couple of times this year - a bit of a trek for me - but I much prefer playing there. Had great times when I've been before. This x1000.

  9. Tried my neighbour's Aliexpress super-cheapos that use an Earmor style casing but cost around £25 a couple of hours ago. The sound quality was awful and they are completely mono-aural. Not saying that these Howard Leights have the same quality of directional hearing as my Peltor Comtac XPs, but the sound quality is pretty good and I won't be so paranoid about these being nicked in the safezone as my Comtacs either. Going to order some Gel cups from AliExpress.

  10. A cheap set of Howard Leights I bought off here. They are better than I thought they would be TBH - I wasn't expecting much after owning (and recently selling) Peltors, but they are good enough for some CQB BBWarz.

  11. My first airsoft gun was a TM USP Springer that I had to cut out and fill in a form from GunMart magazine and send a cheque to mail order. Took 3 weeks to arrive as the cheque has to clear first before it shipped. I was 15-16 so around 1996-97. We didn't even have the internet at home then. My second Airsoft gun was a TM Glock 17 springer from a Toy Shop in Bournemouth when I was around 17, so 1998 ish. They had them behind the counter, right next to a Sylvanian Families display. Interesting mix there. The first AEG I set eyes on 'in the real' was a TM Steyr AUG in a Comic Shop also in Bournemouth. It was in a glass display case and it looked the coolest thing ever. I got into Tournament Paintball shortly thereafter so shelved any notion of playing Airsoft for 5 years or so as it zapped every penny (and them some) that I made in employment. But those pre-VCRA days were awesome. Good times - life felt so much simpler.

  12. So glad I am my own Human Resource department.... And Elf & Safety Womble... Our company policy is simple - "Don't be a dick. Don't do anything that will hurt yourself - or the bellend standing next to you." Thankfully the people that work for me have much the same outlook on life. 20 years of running my own company means I am probably unemployable now in this country.

The Shamal was pinpoint accurate but heavy.Still have both of them. Weirauch made lovely guns. I've not fired either of mine for ten years☹️ Regards

  22. This advert is COMPLETED!

    • For sale
    • Used

Up for sale is a practically unused SRC XM8c Gen 3 which I bought to modify, but never really got around to it. There are barely any scratches or wear to it. This is a very uncommon rifle with a fun compact look and extending stock. It has a G&G Green Hop rubber and been converted to deans. Otherwise it's completely stock. FPS is 330 on .2's Price is £100 posted. I would much prefer this picked up though as I would need to construct a box for it. So priority goes to those who can collect. Comes with a single G36 High cap (With the dual mag couplers dremeled off.)

  23. I count to 12 with 'and' inbetween on the fill, so probably about 10 seconds I work in branding - so can say for sure that if they're still going now then they'd be absolutely thriving if they went for it with customer care. It's often a case of false economy not to... like it'll cost them 20% more in time, resource, money to provide top quality customer services, etc... but they'll make 60% more off the back of it, giving a net benefit. But some companies will only see that short term 20% cost, rather than the long term ongoing gains.

  24. Bigger isn't necessarily better and Ironsight is a great example of doing a lot with the space available. I've played there a few times, and it's just over an hour's drive for me, it's just not a straightforward journey as I end up driving through narrow country lanes and little villages/hamlets to get there. But I really like the site.

  25. Definately not normal. You can dump an entire mag in 3-4 seconds with pretty much any TM with no problems. I had a VFC/Stark Arms Glock at one point, I could shoot it as fast as I wanted, but it needed to be run with a lot of lube on the piston head. But it ran a lot better than your gun even without said heavy lubrication. Send it back and demand a refund under distance selling rules. Send your video as evidence in the email. If you paid via PayPal, open a dispute if they dick you around. Wolf Armouries don't have the best reputation for customer care.

    Air nozzle oring

To get a new nozzle means taking the old one somewhere can can scan and machine an exact replica, or buying a second hand king arms Sig 556 to pinch the nozzle out of it. They're unique to the gun. It's a V3 gb that sits far enough back from the hop unit that it has a very long nozzle to work properly. I should be able to find a replacement oring somewhere.

  32. She must have been walking like John Wayne out of the barracks afterwards. Fair play to her. What makes me laugh is the whole 'denigrate women' BS that's coming from the new CO. Surely if she was un-coerced into her actions (31 times!), surely it should be seen as win for feminism and the rights of women to express themselves sexually with numerous partners without prejudice? That's what the blue-haired screamers would want the world to think, surely? I thought the Army was now singing from the same 'woke' song book? What a fucking clown world we live in.

  33. I'm feeling like I'm the only one who didn't get into airsoft because of a film. For me it was a case of flicking through a copy of gunmart looking for my next air pistol when I saw an article about skirmishing at Electrowerkz. I'd tried paintball but found it rediculously expensive so this appealed to me straight away. A couple of weeks later I'd spent 2/3 of my tax rebate on guns and gear and I haven't looked back
