  1. Greggs have announced plans to start a delivery service using drones. All sounds a bit pie in the sky to me.

  2. The AKU's I mentioned above (https://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/shop/footwear/british-army-issue-aku-boots-grade-1-1537724.html) just turned up as I was after another pair. Photos for reference. Looks like someone wore them for about 5 minutes as there isn't a mark on them. Even the soles look brand new. They retail for £170-£150 but I got these for £51.99 all in. You might want to spend an extra tenner in a set of insoles for them.

  5. Definitely this... it really does make such a difference and are a relatively cheap thing that makes your life more comfortable. even decent quality merino wool socks can be had very affordably from places like mountain warehouse etc. As far as boots go i love my salomon's but mine are nearly a decade old and the newer stuff sounds like its not made quite as well. whatever you do it's 100% worth getting to a shop and trying some one...it's the two things in airsoft not worth saving money on (The other of course is eyepro)

  6. Our local neighbourhood association are arguing about whether we should complain about the woman next door. She spends half her time sunbathing naked in her garden. I'm on the fence myself.

  7. Got this little (it's massive) beauty. A JG RPK. So far it seems good. Well made with electric blow back, shooting around 320fps with 0.2g bbs and a snappy rate of fire on a 7.2v lipo. Hoping to give it a gun run out at the weekend.

  10. It's tricky to figure out if it's not slamming in hard enough, or deep enough. Our strikers might be made from monkey-metal nails, for all we know. Preach, I think my TRMR multishot base is running a random bearing from a pack that I used to rebuild a trackball.

  11. Tolerances on it were good but I think the dirt and burrs along with zero grease was meaning that it moved sluggishly and didn’t impart enough of a blow on the primer. I still need to find a replacement ball detent unit (probably 3mm dia over all!) to ensure good indexing of the twist part.

  14. Managed to strip it down, clean and grease it and remoce some of the burrs on the “nipple” part of the plunger. I also added some shims under the firing pin to take sone of the play out of it. Now moving much smoother so hopefully it will hit the primers hard and deeper (ooh matron!) and make a big bang! Used a good amount of blue Loctite on the wobble head thread to make sure it doesn’t unscrew being lobbed through doors.

  16. It took nearly a month, but it got here and I have to say I’m very impressed. So a big thank you to rocketdogbert for the heads up. It looks absolutely perfect, apart from the damage to the front and a couple of small scratches, which I’m guessing must have happened during packaging as it came securely package in a decent case. The markings are really nice and it has some decent weight to it. Plus it comes with everything in the picture, Geissele style mount, covers, kill flash and throw lever. The glass is nice and clear with decent crosshairs and the zoom in and out is smooth enough. Obviously it’s not going to be as smooth as the real thing, but it’s a hell of a lot cheaper. All in all I’m very happy. Just waiting for my 416 to arrive so I can get on with my SEAL Team Clay Spenser build.

  18. I've seen the Tippmann HPA M4 floating around my local field, but never tried it. It isn't one of those "BB hose" type things but the RoF seems ok. Other than that I personally would say go have a look at High Pressure Airsoft? They fit engines and you can buy a Line / Tank / Regulator all together I believe. Or just buy an engine yourself and get the job done DIY-Dad style. Dunno.. Personally never tried any of the scorpion-type guns ever, the M4 has everything you could need in the aftermarket so I never saw the point in changing things up.

  21. More of a Lucas kinda guy. I kinda like that civilian in arms look and and ethos of it's fun to use these for training. But hopefully will never have to do it for real. But whilst were at it, who can beat ther personal best. It makes me more confident in my own training and disciplines.

  22. I admire the op for bringing up "kit for ukraine" but il agree with others that ukraine needs medical supplies and other assistance for the civilians who are now in a situation which is desperately in need. Instead of sending airsoft vests/kit, sell it and in the advert make it clear the monies raised will be donated to a much needed charity/organisation to assist ukraine. You'll feel better for doing this than sending a plate carrier(without actual plates-wtf?)/toy helmet/other toy equipment. They need the whole world to play their part, we can too. 👍

    TG Prices

@EDcase Yup a Polish customer of mine did this with one of the "Polish man with a van" chaps and sure enough wasn't cost effective. Only really useful if it's a something not available in the UK. I'm due a phone chat with a new HK sea freight agent tomorrow to see what the situation is with container shipping.

  30. I'm also a fan of Lowa boots - For skirmishing I use their Recce boot (now discontinued but still readily available). I also really like the Altberg Sneeker as a light weight option. Problem with boots is everyone can comment on features and build quality, but the single most important feature in any pair of boots is fit and that is an incredibly personal thing. My advice would be to go somewhere that have loads of options in stock with an open mind and try on everything and pick the one that fits the best, and buy those ones. Just a note that 'best fit' and 'most comfortable' are not exactly the same thing although there is a high degree of overlap. For example Lowa Recce boots fit me well and provide a high level of support and as such I find them pretty comfortable and am able to wear them all day without issues. However the most comfortable boots I have ever had are the Adidas GSG9 boot. Here the improved comfort was due to an excellent fit and also the fact that they are very soft, lightweight and breathable. The trade off for the extra comfort is that they are not that hard wearing so have a much shorter lifespan than the Lowas or Altbergs.

  36. I don't think you can count sundries on a game day as that depends on how individuals play. Travel expenses can't really be compared either. But regarding entry fees... At sites I know, Red Alert in Bucklebury is the best value at £27.50 (used to be £25) including lunch (just a pizza tho I think) The other site I frequent is Skirmish Wycombe at £30 including lunch (good food) is fair too. I try to bring sundries such as BB's, gas, snacks and water so I don't spend so much there but I'll usually buy a few extra drinks if needed.

    What are you driving?

Here's mine. Its not currently got an engine in and has not had one for 9 months. Bottom end bearings went bye bye. Should be back this month. Not many people are aware of the 4 door R34s and the ones that do take a strange look on them. I personally love them. Maybe its a sign that I'm getting older but ever since I drove a B5 S4 I have been in love with 4 door saloons. The engine being out has been a bit of a blessing, although its been a boring 9 months without the car, its got some goodies going in such as forged pistons and rods, link ecu and a few other goodies.

  38. Hey guys, so I am doing some market research for Feyachi. Disclaimer this is for a small reward. So that being said. Feyachi would like to know if custom laser engraving on their optics range is something that would interest customers upon buying an optic from them. They want some direct input from us airsofters on the front line so to speak and value our input. This could be anything from having your call sign engraved, maybe your favourite action movie quote, your youtube name, your team name or anything else you can think of. I imagine it may not appeal to some who are going for the more Milsim style replica builds, but might well appeal to people who like the more casual side of customising and building RIFs or youtubers and speedsofters etc... Let's go for a poll style response using the 'like' feature. Yes please! That sounds awesome = like (heart) No! My Gnu wouldn't look genuine if I did!! = sad face Thanks for your time and feel free to add anything to the discussion.
