    Gun picture thread

Not quite finished, but here’s a peek at what I’ve been fart-arsing around with this week...

  2. /Agreed! But I would say the top two are kinda the type of image that is one step away from asking to be “sectioned” when you go to the “Big House”

  3. Umm...that top left one looks....umm....more than a tad under-aged and over-graphic. My 'Nearly-40-Father-of-Four' instincts really don't like it.

the wind isn't so much the problem- you can deal with the wind. it's when you've put all the time, effort, money, skill, learned to tech, learned to shoot, learned to sneak and lined everything up to get that perfect angle. the expensive .48g geoffs bb sails through the air it's backspin perfectly canted to counter the crosswind and strikes the target. a perfect and beautiful shot. only for the target to shrug and continue playing anyway.....

  5. Double Eagle M904G , it’s the one with the factory fitted mosfet so you can set your own trigger pressure and firing modes (double tap , 1/2/3/4/5rd burst) only had a ‘wee’ play with it so far but first impressions it punching WELL above its weight for the cost !

  6. - Black Mamba Type A fitted. - Hadron Short Stroke Kit fitted (300% nozzle BBU spring and recoil buffer). TTI adjustable trigger (no safety) fitted. Most of it was really simple but I found reassembling the lower far more fiddly than actual Glock platforms. I've also just purchased the wheel adjustment hop unit, as with the BM kit you can no-longer access adjustment with the top still on. Will pair it with a 138MM Maple Leaf crazy jet and 50 degree Flamingo bucking. Full-auto is kicking out 25rps and should be over at least 330fps with the slightly longer inner barrel....think it's time to get a drum and go pistol only!

  10. Funnily enough, I pinged a guy on there about a gun 4 weeks ago. Got a message yesterday saying 'Yeh, it is, still interested?'. I might wait 4 weeks to reply back to him saying 'no'.

this will depend on many factors. a lot of good parts are sold by @ak2m4 at least for the more universal aeg internals, however depending on your gun, and the aims of your build you're almost always gonna need to look at multiple stores to get everything you want/need. if you tell us what gun you want to mess with, and what you want to improve about it (and how far you wanna go down the diminishing returns curve) then we can be a bit more specific with recommendations.

  13. Haha, that could work! Actually, the Velcro jacket idea is something I might do in the future 😛 ended up ordering a mayflower gen 4 from the US of A, hopefully it'll be here before July 11th (have a tournament booked, short one but it'll be a good chance to test the rig). Saw a video of one guy (bb warrior something) who used mp2 inserts in a mf gen 4 rig, I remember him saying they were a hair short too. If you happen to have multiple inserts and you don't mind taking a few pictures, I'd appreciate it! On a side note, I might replace all the fucking buckles I have on my TMR and Pentagon flatpack clone with ITWs so I have a 100% compatible system where I can interchange harnesses, packs, rigs depending on my needs. Might also buy a replica of the crye airlite harness (Found one on aliexpress, I know it's not the real thing but good luck sourcing just the harness) to tinker around with.

  14. Had to clean the hop rubber in my CM.028u. The lad got a bit liberal with the silicone oil... Bloody palaver compared to an M4, managed to crack the housing round the tiny screw that holds the underside of the battery compartment/dust cover holder/slide. Only needed a washer to make good, and probably could have got away without using one but still. The wires are so damn short that the fuse holder sits under the cover too. Couldn't be arsed to get the soldering iron out, and no thin wire sitting bout anyway. Not a lazy man's rifle. Namsoft next weekend and the AKs have to be in prime nick. Dụ má mày yankee!

  15. Have you considered this? Carries all your kit and no problems with breathability or mag retention being too tight. Just stick it all in the basket and away you go.

  16. Why hello there. Some of you may have known that I’ve been developing this thing for the past year. It has gone through one test phase, and now it is time for the second: the beta test of the MOSQUITO kit. So, what is this thing you may be wondering? Well, (doing a ctrl+c and ctrl+v of myself….): “Inspired by the PP-91 KEDR, the MOSQUITO is an ultra compact, lightweight, and modular kit for an AK AEG. A fully assembled kit weighs only around 1.4kg, and has a max length of 577mm with stock unfolded (341mm folded). Disassembly is made easy via stainless steel pins, and hop up can be adjusted on the fly. Want to experience a true small form factor with a big punch? This could be the thing for you.” Essentially, it is a 3D printed kit that takes parts from a traditional AK AEG and turns into a super lightweight, compact, and easy to use weapon. Actually, to be more accurate, it only takes the gearbox, hop unit, and barrel. You don’t even need any of the fiddly external parts on the gearbox because I have completely redesigned them. It also takes regular mp5 magazines which are plentiful. So, what I need now are testers who will provide good feedback on the kit as it is right now. I have plans to improve it even further before putting it up commercially, but I will need user feedback first to determine viability. I will list some requirements here: £60 to cover material, packaging, and delivery costs. This is to improve the quality of the test. Think of it as buying a cheapo GBB pistol from JBBG on an impulse You will be required to write a detailed report. Don’t worry as I have templates of that. It will be in the form of google docs and will only be shared between you and me. You will have to source your own AK internals if you don’t own any. I have made a huge list of these for your convenience in the beta test document. Don’t worry about screws and fittings, I will supply them all. This is mainly an AEG platform. However, if you are a V3 HPA user, that is definitely welcome too. You will also need a discord account as this test will be held over at a discord server where the rest of the beta test information is, alongside full documentation of the entire process since last year. There will only be a maximum of 15 testers because I don’t think I can manage much more on my own. If you want to be involved, message me and I will send you a link to the discord server. It is on a first come, first served basis. Thanks for reading and here’s a fun video:

  17. Pictures show the mockup and the final product. Changes from mockup to final results: Final version uses a short custom bipod. This was kindly made for me by my friend and former classmate. I wanted a short bipod and it didn't have to be extendable, so he machined down a Well bipod that was broken as the threads on the left leg were stripped after lots and lots of use. Final version has the original barrel instead of having it replaced with the suppressor entirely. This looks more DMR-like to me. Final version has rails on top of both mount rings instead of just one. Final version has folding sights. A scope mount with the extension extending backwards instead of forwards allows the folders to stay on. (Otherwise I would probably lose them.) The sights have been converted to manual instead of spring loaded because I kept getting the skin on my thumb caught. Final version has a smooth suppressor without knurling. -Parts List, WE HK416 Open Bolt GBBR used as Base Gun.- Walther 4x32 9-11mm ASR-Tech Scope FMA FBUS Gen 2 Folding Sights in Black (Manual Folding Conversion Mod) M-ETAL 190mm Smooth Mock Airsoft Suppressor M4 DMR Stock with Cheek Raiser* One Piece Scope Mount* Polymer AFG* Shortened Well Sniper Rifle Bipod *The Manufacturers of these parts are unknown since they were not listed on the sites I bought them from.

  19. I recently had it happen but the other way around , guy contacts me about a gun I had for sale , says he’s really interested I ask him did he want to see a clip of it working he says “yes please” I send it he replies he definitely wants it I send him my paypal , goes quiet nothing not a squeak out of him . Next day get another potential buyer I tell him “someone in front of you but still waiting for a reply so give me 24hrs ,still no contact we can start a deal for it” . 24 up still no contact so I sell it to the 2nd guy , 1st guy contacts me 4DAYS later ! and starts kicking off calling me a scammer because I was trying to sell it to “multiple buyers at the same time !” Then says it was his sale and I should have contacted him first to let him know someone else was interested in the gun ! Err no ? Your buying from me I don’t chase you , you chase me , cheeky little twat !

  21. I like it. Personally I would get a shorter outer barrel and have the inner run through the suppressor but that's just my own preference. Great job

  22. I’d burn that patch. Here’s my latest purchases third gate Titan advanced I’ve fitted, this is front wired and was a pain to get the wires routed to not foul the bolt stop function. Worth it as I want to run the older style stocks and means I can fit a massive split 7.4lipo in the front and run this one light with no unnecessary kit for woodland skirmishes maple leaf mr hop and omega nub for range spare action army motor gives the TM one the boot and the bolt in trigger pin stops it falling out as there’s no tension from the trigger group now

Mine arrived today, a bit of heatshrink (can be shrunk or left as is). Put it over the rear part. Use the torx tool to punch a hole. Take the heatshrink off and enlarge the hole slightly so the screw fits nicely. Heatshrink back on and tighten down. No excessive pressure on the catch and it will not scratch the upper receiver. Not too obvious unless you look up close.

  31. You failed to highlight "Unused for 3 plus years" So not only is it more expensive than new, you'll likely need to give it a thorough service before it even works.

  35. it's not strength you need, it's additional hands to hold down those extra sproingy things that some lunatic thought an airsoft gearbox was sorely in need of.

  36. the answer is in the statement- if you care about that last 5% in this case i agree that the ZCI is the more sensible option, as that 5% isn't going to be noticeable without the rest of the pew's internals also being brought up to that level, with all the cost, effort and skill requirements that entails. it's the diminishing returns curve in action.

    Upgrades

That's a pretty nebulous question. 🙄 Are you looking for a store that sells upgrade parts, or a store that undertakes upgrade/tech work for you, or a store that will sell you upgrade parts and fit them for you? Try again - but with more details. Also, if you had a specific gun type in mind, providing that info will help steer the answers you receive.

  38. Do your hammer. I sold mine last week and the guy played 2 hours of full auto and it destroyed the hammer. Mine was 2nd Gen shiny hammer as well. Another guy I know who has skirmished his 3 or 4 times has had the same thing happen. Such a shame the hammers are weak.

  43. New Perun Hybrid installed. Anti retard design: you REALLY need to be special to mess the installation, the hardest part is peeling the selector sticker off the paper. Programming isn't super intuitive, but not a big deal, one will eventually get used to it, plus now you have a very convenient set of stickers to attach to a buffer tube/stock for a quick reminder along with the usual card. Disabling precocking is hilarious, the gun starts to charge like a laser beam, then fires a shot to release spring tension Binary trigger doesn't struggle anymore to read the trigger on a "slow" build like the optical did. If you hold the trigger it cancels the 2nd shot. Two stage trigger is super convenient, although it doesn't work when binary trigger is on (I might leave binary off for now). Adjustable precocking/ab/trigger sensitivity are a nice feature. Rof reduction and dmr delay are two settings I'll never touch, but I get normal people would use them. For the price? Gate can go fuck itself. You want the absolute maximum freedom of tuning? Can't beat a Titan with Expert firmware, but these two are very different units for very different purposes (imo). Overall, worth the wait for me.
